[ It was a sunny day of summer, that evening. The sky had light, little clouds on it, the sun wasn't anywhere near to blind the kids running around outside, all ages of young boys and girls. The establishment where they all went out sure was huge. Big enough for all those kids and adults to live there.
One was missing, though. ]
... Are you sure you want to go with me? I'm just here to check something, doesn't mean you have to come.
[ Yvonne didn't turn as she spoke, giving a little glimpse at her watch. ]
After all, you're not used to time traveling. I'm just here to find some documents.
[ She looked in front, hidden in between the trees. She looked back at him, and sighed. ]
Follow me... Make sure nobody sees you.
[ With that, the Founder slipped away like a shadow, towards that religious, that place "Of God", with the Tsukinami behind her. The place looked just as a normal church inside, and it seemed like it the longer they walked, until Yvonne stopped all of the sudden, stopping at one specific door. She held her breath, and pointed at it. ]
Stay here. Make sure nobody goes in... Please.
“You know, I’ve heard time traveling is a good way to strengthen a relationship—”
[Mystic hurried after Yvonne, attempting to keep his eyes out view, as they were what mostly drew attention of him. As they paced through the holy building, he looked around with quite the adoration. His mother had grown under a catholic home, so he always found the thought of religion rather interesting.]
“Find some documents, you say? So you’re coming all the way out here, in the past, you know, for some papers? Isn’t a bit too risky to do something so big for something like that? Just what are you looking for that is this important?”
[Mystic wasn’t going to not do as he had been instructed, but he was terribly curious. Why would Yvonne go so far for some “documents”? Perhaps it was just something she did often…]
“Okay, fine… I’ll stay here, so don’t worry. You get what you have to get done while I guard.”
Are you my appendix? I don’t know what you do or how you work...
[ Yvonne stared at him for a long moment with a seriously face, until she showed him a sunflower she was hiding behind her back. ]
... But I feel like I should take you out.
@kurosawa-family
“..!”
The man stared at the sunflower for a long while after the other’s ‘joke’… To any outsider, it may have seemed as if Richter simply didn’t understand; but truthfully, it may be old age delaying his reaction time. At least it was that way until he let out a soft chuckle, taking the flower fr Yvonne fondly.
“How knew you could come up with such a childish way to ask me out… Even though I’m certain we’ve grown out of our childhood years, I’ll have to take you up on that offer. Of course unless that was a joke as well.”
✨ + a character: What must happen for your character to get involved with mine?
They just have to meet. The idea that another First Blood sruvived the Endzeit, aside from the Tsukinamis, is already fascinating to him. But when it's someone ancient like himself, he's even more curious and somewhat excited to meet.
Since they have bothe mastered the art of being-stone-faced, it'll take a little time for them to warm up to each other, but I'd imagine it wouldn't take that long seeing as in they could very well be the lasts of their kind and can have many interesting conversations together.
The idea of a relationship with Yvonne would be very possible in Saeclus' head if we're talking about an AU in which she's single, but he would also be very fine with a simple friendship. At that point, it's most dependent on Yvonne herself.
Unexpected but very welcome surprise and idea 👁👁✨️ thank you for the question and if you ever wanted to talk about possible interactions between our characters I welcome that very warmly! I love the Kurosawa family❤️
The last time both her and Ritcher met was at their last war together, when she asked him for help, since it wasn't only her life on the line, but her whole family's as well. And considering what happened to her father, mother and sisters when the hunters and the plague came along, it was definitely something she wasn't going to allow, even if it meant losing a lot of her own ego and ask for some little favour from him.
Still, they were on good terms. The note she held so dearly from him was definitely something that made her laugh back then, and it still does, so of course, her feelings might have gotten the best of her that night. She decided to send him a letter, trusting her familiars may find him, and Yvonne's golden eyes lit up slightly when she saw they didn't disappoint.
... Only to find out the man has been whoring around with his brother's wife, and to top it all, it was Cordelia. Not only that, they had a child together.
It was bad enough she felt some heavy, one-sided, ill-feelings from Cordelia towards her, but to think that Ritcher would do something like tha— Actually, no, it wasn't even that surprising. The child was surprising.
So, of course, through letters, they decided to meet up. After all, there were some matters they needed to discuss, and maybe, share laughs and stories with just a few drinks. And, besides, she already had two kids almost (well, physically, of course) the same age (at least, as Ritcher told her) his kiddo was.
So, yeah. There they were, right in front of his doorstep; her, her husband, and her two sons. ]
... This is a bad idea.
Since when something that involves Ritcher is a good idea?
... You got me there.
[ The woman chuckled at her husband's response, and knocked upon their door. ]
[ The Kurosawa’s were met with silence for a long moment. It was quite unnerving, actually... Although, just as they were about to turn back, the manor door slowly creaked open with a masked servant ushering them in, without even asking them to state their business. ]
[ The servant didn’t mutter a word; It was a wonder he could even tell they were there, with that mask of his, eyes seemingly covered over! ]
[ It would surely be unsettling if they were unfamiliar with the servants of this manor... Lord Richter gave his servants strict instructions to keep their faces covered (although, it was safe to speculate that it was Cordelia’s original demand). Still, he had no trouble using his gestures to have them follow him, navigating through the grandiose entrance to the staircase. ]
[ To meet them there was not Richter. In fact, I don’t think any of them (Yvonne, especially) would have been surprised to see that snake-eyed Cordelia, glowering down at them upon their arrival. If they had a keen supernatural sense, though, they may have been able to pick up on her son and lover just out of sight, behind one of the upstairs pillars. ]
Aah, I didn’t realise you were Richter’s supposed guests. I didn’t think he had anything more to do with your type, after all these years.
[ She cast a dirty glance Richter’s direction, from the corner of her eye. But, still... Maybe she could make something out of this unexpected visit. After all, August was looking rather strapping, even after so many years~ ]
...Beloved, forgive me, Iーー
No matter, Richter. I’ll punish you later. For now...
Nfu, I think I wouldn’t mind catching up with our old friends, would you?
My, my, as for your two boys - how grown they are! - I think Ryuuto will pass up a chance to make friends; He has s~o much schooling to catch up on, I wouldn’t want to disturb him.
[ Despite her words, Ryuuto had slowly peeked out from behind the pillar, and the curtain, down at their guests. He was shy, sure, but he definitely wanted to say hi... Perhaps he’d get a chance once his Mother warmed up to them a little more? After all, the servant was already ushering them into the next room, past the large archways. ]
...To the living room, shall we? Come, beloved, allow me to escort you.
If admin is alright with it, could we have some headcanons of Shoma interacting with the Kurosawa family?
But of course, love! After all, they are all my babies, I can make them suffer interact however I want uwu
Shoma and The Kurosawa Family Relationship Headcanons!
Shoma's relationship with Yvonne is the strongest, since she knew her since she was a kid.
She's actually conflicted with August because he's a paternal figure, and yet, he's not... Strict. Yvonne's the strict one, which is weird for her.
The first time she opened up to someone besides Yvonne was with Convoitise. She was having a hard time and he actually was pretty cool with her.
Teasing Aimer every Friday along the twins is her new tradition.
Hela and Shoma are best friends, and the Kurosawa's only daughter is teaching her to be comfortable with dresses and “being girly” in general.
Varick and Hela the only ones allowed to make her hair on important event. Yvonne's the only one allowed to add some details on it.
Her favorite part of the day is when August goes to read on the living room in front of the fire when it's winter. Laying on his big belly and sleep on it it's really a great feeling.
Her relationship with Volker can easily be defined as “Partners In Crime”. Volker goes to a robbery, she goes too; if Volker and Varick are going to steal a mall, she's going too; if they're going to kill off a mafia boss, she's coming too. They want to include her on everything.
When interacting with Yvonne and August, Shoma behaves as much as she can, since she actually respects them, and is playful with them.
With Convoitise and Aimer, she just loves acting out and getting into trouble by the mere fact it annoys them like hell.
Still, both Convoitise and her love annoying Aimer together even more.
But with Hela and the twins, she just lets herself go, you know, doing crime with them, stealing the ice-cream truck, trick people on the casino, breaking reality as we know it. You know, the usual.
All in all, she's getting along, way better than a year ago, when she met them, where Yvonne was the only one she could trust.
Things were... Erratic, to say the least, and even that was an understatement.
The Kurosawa Family' household members, with the exception of the two daughters, were running around, making calls, making food; it was pure and utter chaos in the worst sense of the word. They never exactly celebrated Christmas, not exactly because they don't enjoy it, but because it's just... Meaningless to them. Sure, they see the appeal: The children get their presents, the adults get to rest a bit (the ones that can actually do that, at least) and spend time with their family and friends, they get to eat delicious food, and so on, so on. They do see the appeal, and good for those that like to celebrate it! But it just wasn't for them. But apparently the universe loves to play with the ups and downs, and now they were getting ready for what the matriarch of the house could describe as war. Speaking of which, the sophisticated Yvonne, the woman that barely got anything on her nerves... She was—
“What the FUCK do you mean you'll come in three days?! Do you even know how much time it'll take us all to prepare for you too— Yes, father, I said "you too"! My sisters' family are co— Oh, for crying out loud— CAN YOU PLEASE JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LISTEN, YOU LITTLE—”
“Yvonne, please, don't create a conflict with your parents!” August exclaimed as he was carrying out mountains and mountains of ingredients and others with his arms as Volker followed behind him, carrying ten thick books filled with recipes. In that moment, Yvonne's expression changed to a calm one, placed a hand on the speaker tightly so whoever was on the phone wouldn't hear and sighed.
“August, listen, he can't keep acting like a spoiled brat, ok? He's the triple my age, and I'm more mature than her and mother together!” The woman sighed upon noticing her husband's worry. “... I won't involve you in this. I wouldn't like to ruin this for you all...” The moment Yvonne placed the phone on her ear again, she looked exhausted and angry all of the sudden. “Yes, father?... Oh, for the love of God, YES. YES, I CALLED YOU A FUCKING BRAT—”
Sitting there, on one of the large sofas, the two girls were sitting: One waiting for her father's orders, and the other one so disoriented and overwhelmed by the sudden movement, it was making her dizzy. The house was never, ever in this state, and even if they did not exactly celebrate Christmas (they definitely did celebrate the New Years, though), it seems like today was going to to be a special exception... A really special one.
“... I'm going to take a breath outside...” The human finally said as she slowly got up, looking drained despite not really haven't done anything due to, well, nobody telling her what to do or what is happening.
“You do that, hun-bun. You'll need it.” Hela answered as she helped her up and walked her outside, giving her a book of two to calm herself down. “I'll try to help out if they come to their senses.”
With that, Shoma was out, taking a few breaths in and out, slowly, her headache disappearing little by little.
Where Yvonne and August aren't exactly alone. And they have no complaints.
Credits to @sakamaki-richter/@crimson-mayhem the idea! Without them, this wouldn't have really come to surface, but it's a fun idea for an AU, and it's thanks to them.
It doesn't exactly start when Yvonne meets him. They were more like... Rivals.
It was nothing like her relationship with his brother and Richter noticed that. Unlike him, Yvonne didn't try to eradicate him like she tried with Karl. It was more like "you're annoying but you're better than the other one" kind of relationship.
They were teenagers when they met, around being, physically, twelve(ish) years old. They weren't shy about their own strengths, and playful fights were normal between them. Honestly, Richter was trying to be a gentleman around everyone, Yvonne included, but her schemes were enough to get to him.
Both of them, like anyone else, grew up. The three wives came, and obviously with that package, so did Cordelia. By then, Yvonne developed a tiny crush on the dark green-haired young man, but seeing him so head over heels for her, well, she didn't have the heart to make things more complicated than they already were. Besides, she didn't justify cheating... Although she was surprised when Karl told her he knew, he was just giving her "something to play with"...
"Something to play with". He described Richter as a toy for that woman. For that fucking monster.
But she couldn't do anything about it. Besides, she had to go soon enough, so it's not like he would miss he—
W R O N G.
Before her carriage to Paris departed, he asked to please keep sending letters to his place, to keep in contact for him to at least know her stupidity— No, her insolent nature didn't kill her yet.
She laughs.
“Oh, what's this? Did the big, grumpy man got sad that I'm leaving~?”
“Tsk. Don't push your luck, you mad woman. It's already enough that you dare to insult your king.”
“Your brother can go suck a dick for all I care, cabbage head. See ya!”
Their letters didn't exactly have anything about important information, nothing spicy, really. KarlHeinz read one of Yvonne's letter while snooping, only to find a rant about the different pieces of clothing and their prices in France. Needless to say Karl subtly teased his brother about the letters.
It was around the time when Cordelia found one of those letter that everything went down hill. While there really wasn't anything suspicious, her jealousy got the best of her just like always. The first part of the last letter Yvonne received goes like this:
“To Miss Yvonne:
While our time writing to each other was at the very least entertaining, I am afraid that I find myself pretty annoyed and tired with your useless nagging and bragging about things that are not important. Couldn't you be at least more fun, something more than what you are now?”
At this point, Yvonne knew that while this was Richter's writing, it wasn't really him on the letter. She knew who it was. But the more she would press the issue, she was sure it could be worse for him. After all, he was madly in love with that woman, no matter how many times she asked him to just please, please reconsider all this romance, all this affair, only to fall on deaf ears.
She didn't reply, she knew what would happen if she did. Yvonne hoped for a few years, around one hundred years, for him to write a letter just to tell her about his day, but nothing ever came. Eventually, the pain of losing him so slowly, so torturously and painfully slow, turned into a memory, and so did her love for him.
(Or so she thought, of course).
Years pass, and the both of them have their own lives. Honestly, Richter didn't expect to hear from her again. With Cordelia's most recent fit and the Founder's extinction, he was left there in emptiness, the only thing keeping him actually active was full filling his duties and passing the time by reading and waiting at Cordelia's feet to forgive him.
Until a letter is sent to him under the name of “Dame de la Lune”, in a night blue envelope. And what does he find inside? Her, that wrench, that forgotten and unimportant Foundress... asking for help, his help. That letter, it doesn't even sound like her, so desperate to see him, so afraid...
He almost declines. When he wanted to notice, he was already writing a letter to her saying no, that he has more important things to do, but he suddenly stopped writing.
What was he doing?
He didn't sleep for months since Cordelia's incident. He didn't see his brother nor anyone else but her and the servants in years. He was... He was alone, and scared. Scared of... anything. Really.
He leaned over his back, rubbing his whole face in pure exhaustion. No, she sounded scared, too, in that letter.
She needed help. And he was her only option.
Well, off he goes. To... Germany?
The fuck is she doing in Germany?
Well, it did not matter. He was sure that nothing out of the ordinary has happ—
She had a husband and two children. OK.
He would be lying if he said he wasn't upset about this at first. He was upset that this woman made her life in a cottage and that she... Changed a lot.
Her short and rebellious hair was now long and wavy, and her way of dressing up was modest and yet, so elegant. The cotagge that was her home... Everything about her was so different...
But he didn't complain. It's not like he had any in the first place.
He meets August first, and then, their children. This man was... So gentle. He obviously didn't look like it when he saw him giving his stature and his overwhelming scent and power, but in that evening, a lot was shared.
“I'll be honest with you, Richter... We're at war against humans.”
Oh, that doesn't sound that bad.
“And your brother.”
Ok, it's that bad.
The more she talked, the more his concern grew. This woman really thought that defying his brother like that for the mere sake of the little family she formed was worth it?! Richter gets up, furious at her actions. He screamed how she and her husband were basically begging him to defy his brother. In that moment, August got on his knees and beg.
...
He looked at Yvonne and she smiled, shrugging. Was he always this... Cute? This somewhat adorable? The answer was yes...
