Something i just remembered is the Bethesda Pinball which was either its own app or DLC for Pinball FX3 by Zen Studios.

Doom was featured in it and was mostly 2016 based though the score i think had Doomguy's classic face and Lost Souls (Some other graphics too i think like a certain skull texture).

The name "Bethesda Pinball" does seem off because it makes it sound like they came up with Doom and Fallout.

I guess some people forget Fallout wasn't always Bethesda but most still see Doom and id stuff as its own field.

This is kind of a follow up to what i said about Doom crossovers with Bethesda.

Can't believe i forgot to bring up that time in E3 2019 when some guys claimed credit for the creation of the FPS genre because they owned id.

Unless one brings up some early Bethesda games like those Terminator games but still.

The “new“ Pinball FX has finally been released on consoles...and it really is a slimy cash grab.

Going into it and seeing all of the tables that I bought previously in PFX2 and 3 not being there, and expecting me to re-buy all of them is really gross. And seeing Zen out there trying to justify it by saying “Guys, we made them in a new engine so now we have to charge you for them again.” Last time I checked, no one asked Zen to do that. No one was asking for a new game engine or saying the graphics were bad in PFX3.

They have also been saying “these tables are remastered versions”. Most of the people I have been seeing talking about this game have been pretty much saying the same thing...they can’t notice a difference between PFX3 tables and the “remastered” ones. If your consumer base can’t tell the difference between the two versions, then there was never a reason to make “new” versions in the first place. It really feels like this was just an excuse to sell these tables again.

I hope this game does significantly worse than the previous Pinball FX games, and I hope Zen Studios learns a lesson from all of this.
