Day 31- Love

It had been years in the making, they just had to make a name for themselves as heroes and for two of them learn to tolerate one another again, but now it was happening, Amaya, Pluto, and Zack when opening a small agency for themselves.The three had been a pretty good team back in school and every now and then they still crossed paths to end up working together so they decided to officially do so again.

Hosting a small formal party had been Amaya’s idea. She only got the boys on board when she had said that she could handle all the details and they just had to show up, although there was some argument on that one too. True to her word though Amaya handled just about everything, only admitting to needing help when it came to addresses for invitations.

“So Zack I have Luna, Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo Todoroki for your family. Are we inviting Endeavor? It would be a show of good faith to have the current # 1 hero there, so long as everyone remains civil.” Amaya sighed. “Which is a long shot...We will just drop his invitation off at his agency and morning of. If he makes it then okay and if not then also okay.”

Zack nodded to her. “Works for me.”

“Great.” She marked that on her list then read over it. “I feel like I'm missing someone...Don’t you have another brother?” She racked her brain trying to remember. “Oh Toya Todoroki. That would be a nice surprise if we invited him and he came.”

“Surprise? Yes. Nice? Maybe not especially if Endeavor shows up. Besides I don’t know where he lives right now and he is ...” How could he put this delicately? “He is kind of an activist for major change in the hero society.”

Amaya turned her purple eyes to look at him questioningly but decided not to push it any farther than that. She moved back to her list and going over it again. “Okay then I have yours, Pluto’s and my guest list done so thank you for that. You may go now.”

Zack rolled his eyes but took the chance to leave the woman’s home before she came up with more that she needed for the party, heading back to where he and Pluto were ironing out the details for the actual agency.

Between all of that and keeping up with their duties as pro heroes the few weeks went by in a blink of an eye.

The party was going well although Pluto was running a little behind because Amaya had sent him out for some last minute snacks so that left Zackary and Amaya to greet and talk with their guests.

Zack sighed softly, he still felt this party was unnecessary but Amaya seemed to be enjoying it so he couldn’t really complain out loud. He was glancing around the room again when he heard a voice come up behind him.

“Fancy party, I guess my invitation got lost in the mail because I couldn't imagine you left me out on purpose.”

Zack turned on his heel to face the taller male. He recognized the voice but almost couldn’t the man standing there, his scars had been completely covered and his black hair covered by a red wig that would match his natural hair color and style. If he didn’t know better he would have thought he was looking at the old Toya. “You will just have to expand your imagination then but surely you know why i had you left off the list. Not that I’m disappointed to see you but how are you here?”

“Luna, Diamond, and surprisingly Toga.” He shrugged. “I heard about this and made some passing comment then next thing i know somehow Toga had contacted the other two and we were off somewhere else putting this together.” he gestured to himself. “I get the feeling she wanted me out for some reason.”

Zack dipped his head slightly as he listened to his explanation but a glint on his wrist caught his eye. “Let me guess quirk canceling tech because blue flames would be a dead give away.”

Toya nodded. “Luna’s idea ...She says it has a time release and one time use.”

“She is right.” Zack confirmed. “Well it was good to see you but I think you have been spotted.” He pointed to behind him where Fuyumi and Natsuo where coming over. “Don’t out yourself otherwise we will have to arrest you.” He laughed just before their siblings got in ear shot. He exchanged pleasantries and talk with them but they soon moved off with Toya. He waved as they left then moved to go back to talking with the other guest.

When Pluto finally returned he was surprised by the number of people already there so he was trying to be quick to put up what he was sent out for and get back to everyone but he bumped into someone and fell back. “Sorry….” He spoke looking up, relieved to find ocean blue eyes looking at him.

“It’s fine Pluto, are you okay?” Luna asked offering him a hand up.

“Yeah, I’m okay just a little embarrassed.” He answered as he took the offered hand and let the other help him up. “I shouldn’t be in such a hurry.” He bent down to pick up the fallen snacks, offering a smile when she moved to help. “Thanks.”

“Want me to help you get these to the tables?”

The white haired pro shook his head. “No but thank you, Luna.”

“Oh okay.” She handed him the rest then watched him continue on his way, although much more careful this time.

Pluto set everything down and was working to set it all out when he heard footsteps walk over to him but didn’t look up to see who it was. “I’m almost done here.”

“Take your time Pluto, There is no rush.” Zackary mused happily to his friend.

“Oh Zack it’s you.” He smiled then finally looked up at the other, freezing slightly. “Holy shit…. you look hot.” He had meant the words to remain a thought but they slipped out as his green eyes studied the man in front of him.

Zackary looked down to hide the blush coloring his pale cheeks. It wasn’t the first time the dragon hero had made a comment like that, although never quite that direct, but he was normally so good at playing them off that Zack had gotten used to them and thinking they didn’t mean anything but still they made his poor bisexual heart race. “Thanks, You do too.”

“Um...Thank you.” Pluto responded, hand moving to rub the back of his neck. The blush on the vampire hero’s face hadn’t gone unnoticed and it gave him a sudden burst of confidence to take a step closer to the raven haired male, lifting his hand to take a gentle hold of his chin to force him to look up at him. Pluto was only an inch or so taller than Zack but like this that inch seemed to be everything. “The color suits you, you shouldn’t hide it….” He spoke softly, a faint smirk appearing on his face when the blush darkened on the other’s face. “See, so much better.”

Zackary had nearly forgotten to breathe just from having Pluto this close, feeling his breath against his face which felt like it was on fire at this point. He looked up his ice blue eyes locking with the green eyes of the other just as Pluto finally closed the gap between them, pressing his lips to Zack’s. His eyes widened at first but as the kiss continued Zack melted into it, moving to take hold of his vest to keep him close. If this was a dream He didn’t want to wake up.

What the two of them had not noticed, as they were a little preoccupied, was that the whole party had slowly fallen silent until one black haired red eyed girl broke it.

“About Time, It took you two long enough.” Shadow spoke out

“I’ll say.” Toya spoke next. “I really thought I wouldn't live to see it.” That earned the eldest Todoroki sibling an elbow to the ribs from Fuyumi.

Zackary pulled back, breaking the kiss, his face going red from their comments.

Pluto’s face was flushed as well but he opened his wings and wrapped them around to shield the raven haired hero. He wanted to flip his sister off but his attention was pulled to Toya. “Cinderella, it’s almost midnight shouldn’t you get home now?”

He rolled his eyes but did check the time. “Fuck you’re right, not about it being almost midnight but I do need to go..” Toya said his goodbyes and was quick to leave.

That served as enough of a distraction to allow Pluto to fold his wings again and look down to Zack. “Are you okay? I’m sorry if I overstepped.”

Zack shook his head. “You didn’t overstep at all and yeah I’m great actually…” He was trying to recompose himself.

“Good. by the way your glasses are crooked...” Pluto moved his hand to straighten them for him. “There you go.”

“Thanks…” He offered him a slight smile. It was then that he realized that he was still holding onto him so he let go. “Sorry..”

“You’re welcome, Zack.” Pluto returned the faint smile with one of his own. He moved to take the hand that let go of his vest. “It’s okay, there is no need to apologize,” He then pulled the other closer again. “Not for this.” He spoke softly dipping his head to meet his lips again. This kiss was less conscious and nervous from both of them and held more confidence to relay shared feelings.

~The Day That Everything Changed~

March 2nd 1613, Luna(16 at the time) and Zackary(20 at the time) went through a day of complete hell…

They had buried their parents and Zack’s ex fiancee (story for another time) about a month and a half earlier so it was just the two of them.

The day started out the same as any other both working that morning, taking over making medicine from herbs from their mother (the only good she ever did). In the afternoon they took a trip to the lake near their village that had always been their escape over the years of abuse from Natalie and Luna’s sickness.

It was on the way back that they ran into serious trouble. At the time there was a group of men that called themselves ‘witch hunters’ going from village to village having their way with women then declaring them witches and having them burned at the stake. (see where this is going yet?) The Redbrook siblings had a run in with this group and although they both did their absolute best to escape it wasn’t enough.The group held Zackary back as they took turns raping his little sister and all he could do was listen to her screams. The one time he managed to break from their grasp they were quick to grab him again and bury their knives into his flesh. They left him for dead, bleeding out on the forest floor.

A vampire was passing through the area when they caught the scent of so much blood shed so of course came to investigate and for whatever reason decided to save Zack rather then finish him off but it didn’t stick around to see what would happen. Once he had healed enough he headed into the village, still human.

Back in the village Luna was shock to see how quickly they turned on her, the very people that had watched her wake up were now taking the word of strangers and ignoring her cries of protest completely. She was tied up and they were set fire to the wood around her when she heard Zackary’s voice calling as he came running out of the forest. He was covered in blood but otherwise he seemed okay.

The ‘witch hunters’of course freaked out, since he should have been dead, and so was the village but they did soon fix that by opening fire on him, making for sure this time it worked.

The last thing Luna saw was her brother fall to the ground before her magic, which had been bound for 16 years, erupted causing the fire around her to shoot up as her powers teleported her away to safety. The last thing Zack saw as his vision faded was the fire consuming his sister.

Zackary died with vampire blood in his system so he turned that day and when he came to, thinking his sister was dead, his humanity was already off so he slaughtered the whole village that night and hunted down those that hurt Luna. He went completely ripper soon after.

Luna to thought her sibling was gone and her new found magic did not react well to those raw emotional triggers. She found out she was pregnant a few weeks after. Once she gave birth as found a suitable family to take her newborn son, giving him up for his safety because of how unstable her magic was. (Her biggest regret if you ever ask her.)

It was approaching the forth year since the whole incident before the siblings finally found each other again, Zack was almost to far gone and nearly killed her. Luna managed to pull him out of his ripper state long enough for them to catch up and for her to try a modified spell to make his daylight ring, which succeeded but also bound her life to his immortality.

When the guilt of the deaths that he caused came crashing down on him Zackary reverted back to the humanityless ripper he was before and didn’t get pulled out of it completely for the rest of the century. Since then Zack as always struggled with his bloodlust.

Vision of the past 1613

Because of his and Luna’s past, especially when it comes to both their mother and the day he was changed, Zack feels like he failed as a big brother to his sister even though there was nothing more he could have done then he did do. Since he became a vampire that gilt only grew worse with each kill he made. For this reason Zackary doesn’t feed like he really should which makes him somewhat unstable.

Zackary is kind and patient but he is also very stubborn.

day 19- Smile

The class had been split up in pairs, at random, to work on a project for their hero studies class with Luna and Midoriya getting paired up. They were friends and often nerded out together so it worked out for them both and they agreed to meet in her room after school to work on it.

While she was waiting for the other she cleaned up around the room, moving to the door when there was a knock. “Hey, Midoriya.” She smiled cheerfully. “Come on in.” She stepped out of the way and let him walk in. “Would you be more comfortable with the door open or closed?”

“Wouldn’t your cat get out if you left the door open?” The green eyed male asked turning to look at her.

Luna took that as her answer and propped the door open. “Normally yes but Diamond and Hitoshi already came by and catnapped her earlier.” she turned to look at him as she spoke. She moved to grab her notebook and then sat down on the edge of the bed. “You can have the desk if you want.”

Midoriya nodded and moved to sit down at the desk. “Thank you, you probably would have preferred to be paired up with one of those two.”

Luna shrugged. “Don't get me wrong, I love Hitoshi dearly and Diamond is my best friend but honestly I’m glad I got paired up with you for this project, between our different knowledge and outlooks on hero stuff we should do really well.” She smiled. “And I really enjoy hanging out with you.”

“Oh okay.” That brought a smile to his face in return. “Okay then let’s get started.”

Luna nodded. “Yes let’s.” With that the two got to work on pulling their knowledge together and writing it down then bouncing ideas off one another for how to put it together. After a while they decided to take a break so while Luna went over her notes

“Do you mind if I take a look at your shelves?” Midoriya asked as he got to his feet to stretch.

Luna nodded. “Yeah go ahead.”

The green haired boy nodded then moved to look at her collection of books and music until a series of sketchbooks caught his attention. “I didn’t know you drew.” He commented pulling a random one out and started flipping through it. “Why are all of these of the same person?....Is this Diamond’s brother?” He had only seen the up and coming hero a couple of times but the dragon features they siblings shared was unmistakable.

“I don’t, those belong to Zackary. I just take them whenever he finishes one so he doesn’t throw it out.” Luna answered before finally looking up, freezing when she noticed which one he had. “Umm...you weren’t supposed to see that one…..” She got up and moved to take it out of his hand. “Literally any other one but this one…”

The boy’s eyes grew wide “Oh I am so sorry…. I shouldn’t have let my curiosity get the best of me and-” He might have continued to mutter and apologize but Luna put a hand over his mouth.

“Midoriya, it is okay. I told you you could look so calm down.” She sighed the lifted her hand from his mouth. “This is just from when he was in middle school. Zack had a major crush on Pluto but decided to just be his friend instead of confessing so for the most part that is gone now.” She explained. “You can not tell a soul you know about this, got it?”

Before Midoriya could answer though another voice cut through the room. “Luna! I thought you promised to stop showing people that!” Diamond who was normally quiet and shy was now almost yelling from her place walking in the doorway.

“I didn’t show him, he found it on his own. In fact both of you found it. Now stop yelling.” Luna sighed.

Diamond sighed faintly, going back to her quiet shy self. “Sorry for yelling…”

“Well you guys seem busy so I'm just going to take Willow to my room for the night.” Shinso commented quietly before turning to head out with the Maine coon in his arms, who decided then to meow loudly.

“Stop right there, sweetheart. Nice try but give me back my cat.” Luna spoke turning her eyes to the purple haired male. He hadn’t gone unnoticed at all.

Shinso laughed under his breath and turned on his heel to walk into the room now but past them and sat on the bed with the cat in his lap.

Luna rolled her eyes but smiled to herself before looking back to Midoriya who seemed scared now. “Seriously it’s fine, the only reason we ask you don’t tell anyone is to save Zack the embarrassment and save mine and Diamond’s asses from that wrath.” she offered him a reassuring smile. “Okay?”

Midoriya finally nodded to her. “Okay, I understand.”

Luna dipped her head in thanks. “Thank you.” She put the sketchbook back in its place then pulled out another one. “This one will be more to your liking anyways since it has beta designs of a lot of hero costumes, Mine included.” she flipped to the page to show him

The boy took it from her and looked through it, already calming down as he studied the drawings. “He actually signed some of these as Scarlet Raven and others as Zackary Redbrook….”

Luna smiled. “The ones signed with his hero name were ones he designed for someone else to help them get an idea.” Luna supplied but could tell he was already in his own world. She moved to sit on her bed next to Shinso and pet her cat, who was purring loudly. “How much did you two get done on your project?”

The purple haired male shrugged. “We figured out how we want to do it so now it is gathering materials.”

The raven haired girl nodded. “Yeah same, we were taking a break when all that happened.” she sighed then laid back against the mattress.

Willow jumped out of Shinso’s lap and crawled up to lay on Luna’s chest.

“You are heavy girl….” Luna groaned put scratched her chin.

Shinso smiled and reached over to pet the cat. “Want me to move her?”

“Nah, I’m okay for now but thank you for asking.” She smiled softly.

After that the rest of the afternoon was the four of them hanging out and talking.

Day 5- Sweet

Probably the shortest day put I think it’s still good

Zackary always made time for his three kids whenever they needed him, it didn’t matter when or where it was or how often or little. That being said, he had come to look forward to Mondays each week because those were the days the River spent at home. It had become something of a tradition in the house that after they all woke up they would spend the day making chocolate covered strawberries for the week. He always took care to make sure they had anything they needed, sometimes asking Momotaro and Eliana for fresh strawberries because they tasted better with the promise of saving some for them in return.

As usual the first few batches were gone soon after they were made, you know quality control and all. Soon though they were on to making containers for the hospital, agency, and wherever else for the week.

Sometimes they would do more than chocolate covered strawberries but that was always the constant. Sometimes they would kidnap Angel to help and Galen would come over if he was off and if Pluto was home then it became a whole family day full of teasing and laughter.

Yeah Zackary had come to look forward to Mondays, no matter how big or small it was almost always a good day.

Small Headcanon Dump

Things that don’t come to light often but are true in every verse

Zackary’s body is covered in scars from his mother’s beatings, although most have faded to a point that you only see them if you are really looking, the worst of which are criss-crossed across his back from the whip lashings.

When he is in control but it is slipping Zack will only hunt the murderers, rapists, and other dangers criminals in case he kills someone.

If Zack kills while in control he will burn the body but while a Ripper he will paint a scene on the wall with his victims blood.

Luna has been know to fall for anyone that shows her kindness but she does have a fear of sexual intimacy due to what happened to her when she was 16.

Luna’s biggest regret is giving up her son, even though she had good reasons to. That coupled with how her mother was makes Luna think she’ll never be a good mother.

Luna, Layla, Elijah, and Claire are all amazing musicians but don’t usually show it in public.

Alexander has a standard when it comes to the supernatural beings he hunts. Out of control, high kill count, and no other way.

Alex, Jay, Yori, and Denzel all have automotive skills and work on their cars when they have free time.

Jasper’s visions get worse the closer he is to the person that is going to die.

Jasper and Amaya share a half sister named Yuna Akira. Jasper’s mom and Amaya’s father.

Amaya and Zack were once assassins for heir and have worked together a few times but do not like each other at all.

Yori works undercover for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.

Denzel wants to become a lawyer so he could make people like the bullies who hurt him and his brother pay.

Denzel has terrible asthma that just seems to be getting worse.

Denzel has a daughter that he has no idea about with his high school sweetheart.

Samuel has a motorcycle that he is actually really proud of.

Samuel wishes that he had access enough to his wings to bring them into the physical realm.

Samuel is a very skilled veterinarian and often has his own clinic.

Samuel gets sick if his two halves get off balanced, Sofia doesn’t have this problem.

Sofia may sleep around a lot but it’s just because she is afraid of rejection to she doesn’t form bonds with people.

Aiden doesn’t want kids, ever.

Aiden could be classified an alcoholic except he can never manage to actually get drunk no matter what or how much he drinks, his powers don’t allow it.

Aiden likes animals more then people.

Aiden does not believe in love.

Elijah goes to the shooting range every week to practice with his gun.

Elijah is still a master at making devilscraft and more importantly it’s cure.

Elijah wears his and Elizabeth’s rings on a leather cord around his neck.

Claire resents her mother, although she would never voice it to her father, because she left them to be raised by strangers and never told their father about them.

Kyle resents his father and makes in know every way he can.

Mason once tried to take over hell from Lucifer, needless to say it failed.

Mason can’t have kids that’s why he is a pediatric doctor.

Mason has a problem with suicide, drinking, and drug use, his human father abused both in front of him growing up and blamed him for it before shooting himself in front of Mason when he was 17.

Solstice is very proud of his dragon heritage.

Solstice blames himself for his families’ deaths.

Zana had a horrible life growing up.

Zana in now a very skilled hunter but has a group that follows her and does her dirty work.

Zana hates Layla.

Alaric lives and works on his family’s ranch.

Kazimir blame himself for his son’s death.

Kyrian is very skilled at what he does.

Kyrian wants to know what her parents were researching but he can’t seem to get his hands on the information.

Day 7-Fears Part 2

Luna walked down the street trying to find where the other two had gone off to and thankful she didn’t have to look very far as the two of them had stopped at a food vender and it seemed Diamond was trying to get him to try some of her spicy food. “Diamond, please don’t.”

“Oh it’s not even spicy.” She exclaimed but laughed.

Luna was glad to see that she seemed to be more relaxed than before and she was grateful to her friend for giving her the opportunity to talk with Shinso. “I think we will just have to take your word for it.”

“Thank you, Luna.” Shoto said looking at her. “How did you talk go? Were you the first one to conquer your fear and tell him your feelings?”

“No, I didn’t. Come to find out he thought I was scared of him…” She sighed. “I also found out that he doesn’t hate us so that’s a plus.”

Diamond tipped her head. “That is good but why would he think that you feared him? I understand what he thought you feared but what made him think it was true for you?”

“My constant nervousness around him. I told him that I wasn’t scared of him or his quirk but that I did get nervous around him then I left.” She laughed off her growing nerves.

“Your fear of rejection got in the way.” Shoto commented looking to her.

“You’re one to talk.” Luna shot back at him before sighing. “Okay time to change the subject. While I love the smell and taste of coffee I am tired of wearing it. Can we find a store where I can get a change of clothes?”

“Yeah, there is a store just around the corner, which is why we stopped here.” He answered and threw away his trash.

Diamond did the same then the three of them were off.

Luna was quick to get a change of clothes, a pair of jeans and tank top with an oversized pullover see through shirt. After that they made their way through each stop that they had agreed on. As the day drew to an end Shoto and Luna bid Diamond farewell when she had to go.

“I need to run to the pet store real quick but you can go one home if you want.” Luna spoke looking to Shoto who rolled his eyes.

“Really? Let me guess something for Willow?” He asked, sighing when she nodded.

“Hey I spoil my cat and you buy All Might stuff just to piss of your father, which if I may add is the whole reason for getting me and Diamond to agree to hang out with you today. This is a judgment free zone.” Luna pointed out with a sly smile

“Yeah fine, just don’t be late getting home.” He sighed but started walking off.

Luna turned on her heel and headed into the pet store. She quickly moved to the cat section to look around for something for hers. But she wasn’t there alone for long.

At first neither noticed one another, both focused on their objectives but soon he spoke out and she nearly froze, twice in one day?. “Say one was to find a kitten outside that was too young to eat real food what would the best milk replacer be?”

She looked over at him then to the shelf before picking one up. “Well most of these are the same but i found that my cat responded best to this one. Did you find a kitten outside?”

“Yeah, soon after you left the coffee shop I tried to go find you but you were no where around then I found this little guy. I took him to the local vet and he said that he would need a milk replacer for a few weeks.” As Shinso spoke he pulled the kitten out from inside his jacket.

She nodded slowly and looked over the kitten. He was small but his mews of complaint from being moved from his warm spot sounded clear. “Well it was a good thing you were there then.” She smiled looking up to the purple haired boy in front of her. She then turned her attention to the self again and along with the milk she grabbed a bottle and cleaning wipes then moving to grab a pet blanket and a stuffed toy from the dog section then came back.

Shinso replaced the kitten in his jacket against her chest. He watched the way she moved around knowing exactly what to grab. “You’ve had to do this before?”

The raven haired girl nodded. “When I adopted Willow from the shelter they were wrong about her age do to her being a maine coon and therefore bigger the most kittens her age. Thankfully we realized the problem pretty soon so we got her what she needed. Although she did get sick and I was scared I would lose her ...” She sighed then looked back to him “Have you done this before?”

“When I was little I did.” He answered her.

“Okay good.” she smiled then moved up to the counter with him following her. “Do you mind if I get this?” she asked looking back at Shinso.

“No go a head.” He replied checking on the kitten as she paid for everything. Once done he followed her out of the store.

Luna swung the bag as they walked in silence for a moment but then she stopped and looked at him. “You said you were looking for me what you found the kitten, why were you looking for me?”

He rubbed the back of his neck. “I was starting to wonder if you had missed that part…. I wanted to talk to you about something but honestly I was relieved when I couldn't find you because I was scared that I would be jumping to the wrong conclusion again.”

She tipped her head. “What conclusion would you be jumping to now?” She shook her head. “Actually if you don’t want to tell me then you don’t have to.” She handed offered him the bag.

He took the bag from her. “I thought you were supposed to face your fears in order to get past them.”

She laughed softly. “Well then since it is your fear then it is your choice, I just said you don’t have to.”

The purple haired male studied her, beyond her laugh and behind the smile he noticed how nervous she was getting again. “You know you are one of the hardest people to get a read on but I think I’ve got it now.”

“Good night, Shinso.” She turned on her heel and started to walk away.

“You are afraid to actually let people in.” he called after her.

His words made her actually freeze. “You figured that much out but it doesn’t change anything.” Luna sighed. “And before you repeat that you should face the things that scares you, just remember, it takes one to know one… so I will let people in when you do. Until then I’ll keep pretending.” she started walking again. “You should get home and get that kitten fed. I’ll see you at school monday.”

“Luna.” He followed after her, catching up easily as she had slowed down.

Her heart jumped hearing her first name out of his mouth. “What more do we have to talk about?” She asked as she looked at him and continued walking. “Actually I can think of something. You are smart enough to figure out one of my biggest fears which leads me to believe that you figured out why it is you make me so nervous and that was why you wanted to talk earlier. However instead of talking about that wanted to talk about fears and overcoming them.” she bit her bottom lip and stopped. “So let me overcome one fear now and get this rejection out of the way.” she turned to face him. “I like you, Shinso, I like you a lot. I have had a crush on you since the first week of school. I can not explain to you how great it was to hear you say that were going to get into the hero class, that you weren’t going to let your fears about your quirk and what people think stop you from being a pro hero.” Luna sighed. “And that look on your faces says it all. I don’t have a problem letting people in as much as I do with them rejecting who I am once I do…..As you said at the sports festival ‘you can’t help the things your heart longs for.’....” She may have continued on but she found herself lip locked with the male which was a very good and maybe only reliable way he could have shut her up, without crushing her.

Shinso was surprised to hear what she had to say, not really the subject but how she said it. She always seemed to think about what she was saying, even if it came out broken when tripping over her words, but now it sounded as though she was just laying it all out. She even used his own statement against him. That was when he realized that he needed to stop her before she dug herself a hole and for whatever reason kissing her was the only thing that came to mind besides using his quirk which was a big no. He pulled back after a moment to look down at her. “Are you done? At least for now?” He asked calmly waiting for her to nod. “I like you as well, Luna, which is why I didn't want to confront you about it and then be wrong. Okay?”

“okay…Sorry I was being rude and sassy and mean…...” She looked up at him, meeting his eyes.

“Apology accepted. You know you could really give someone whiplash trying to keep up with your train of thought or mood swings ” He offered as faint smile then suddenly took a step back and started walking. “Come on, let’s get you home as i’m sure you have some kind of curfew, Redbrook.”

“So i have been told.” Luna sighed, frowning as he stepped back. She followed after him before laughing softly. “You know you could actually call me Luna or if that is just not setting well with you you can come up with something else. By the way, I know you are training with Aizawa and since Zackary works for the same agency I know you have worked with him as well. I’m curious what do you call him if you call me Redbrook.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” His smile grew before glancing back to her. “I call him by his hero name most of the time.” He answered.

“Ah yes Scarlet Raven slips off the tongue so much easier.” She smiled softly.

“Actually it does a lot better than your code name so I’ve heard, Starlight Melody. That has nothing to do with your quirk.” He slowed down so she could catch up and walk at his side.

“Yes but that in the beauty of it, people think I have a music based quirk not an element based one.” she shrugged. She took a deep breath as they approached the gates of her current home. “Shinso, thank you for being persistent enough to get me to finally spill to you… all at once…. In the future I will try to be more open, especially with you.”

“No need to thank me but I will attempt to do the same for you.” He replied looking to her. “Goodnight Luna and sleep well.”

“You too.” She smiled in return, waving as he walked away before heading inside the house.

~Vision of the Past~

March 2nd, 1613, Luna(16 at the time) and Zackary(20 at the time) went through a day of complete hell…

They had buried their parents and Zack’s ex-fiancee (a story for another time) about a month and a half earlier so it was just the two of them.

The day started out the same as any other both working that morning, taking over making medicine from herbs from their mother as it was the only good she ever did. In the afternoon they took a trip to the lake near their village that had always been their escape over the years of abuse from their mother and Luna’s sickness.

It was on the way back that they ran into serious trouble. At the time there was a group of men that called themselves ‘witch hunters’ going from village to the village having their way with women then declaring them witches and having them burned at the stake.

See where this is going yet?

The Redbrook siblings had a run-in with this group and although they both did their absolute best to escape it wasn’t enough. The group held Zackary back as they took turns with his little sister and all he could do was listen to her screams. The one time he managed to break from their grasp they were quick to grab him again and bury their knives into his flesh. They left him for dead, bleeding out on the forest floor.

A vampire was passing through the area when they caught the scent of so much bloodshed so of course came to investigate and for whatever reason decided to save Zack rather than finish him off but it didn’t stick around to see what would happen. Once he had healed enough he headed into the village, still human.

Back in the village Luna was shocked to see how quickly they turned on her, the very people that had watched her grow up were now taking the word of strangers and ignoring her cries of protest completely. She was tied up and they were set fire to the wood around her when she heard Zackary’s voice calling as he came running out of the forest. He was covered in blood but otherwise, he seemed okay.

The ‘witch hunters’of course freaked out, since he should have been dead, and so was the village but they soon did well to fix that by opening fire on him, making for sure this time it worked.

Zackary died with vampire blood in his system so he turned that day. When he came to, thinking his sister was dead, his humanity was already off so he slaughtered the whole village that night and hunted down those that hurt Luna. He went completely ripper soon after.

Luna thought her sibling was gone and her newfound magic did not react well to those raw emotional triggers. She found out she was pregnant a few weeks after. Once she gave birth as found a suitable family to take her newborn son, giving him up for his safety because of how unstable her magic was.

Her biggest regret if you ever ask her.

It was approaching the fourth year since the whole incident before the siblings finally found each other again, Zack was almost to far gone and nearly killed her. Luna managed to pull him out of his ripper state long enough for them to catch up and for her to try a modified spell to make his daylight ring, which succeeded but also bound her life to his immortality.

When the guilt of the deaths that he caused came crashing down on him Zackary reverted back to the humanity less ripper he was before and didn’t get pulled out of it completely for the rest of the century. Since then Zack always struggled with his bloodlust.

Day 30- Gift

Zack and Night were heading home one afternoon after spending the morning running from store to store for different things, like paint where Esmeralda got into Zack’s and the repair shop because Night’s guitar had been broken by a playful hellhound chasing stray cat that had somehow wondered into their home, and on their way back they past the pet store where there was a litter of puppies in the window.

Night stopped and looked at the puppies before looking over at his fiancé a sly smile growing on his face. “Zacky….”

“No, Nightmare” Zack knew that look on his face even without looking at him so he tried shutting it down quickly, however it didn’t surprise him when the dreamwalker stepped into the store anyways so he sighed and followed him inside.

Night was already picking one of the puppies up when he saw Zackary follow him. He turned to the vampire trying to look cute. “But Zacky just look at her, she is just adorable and she’ll get along so well with our other two ...Please”

Zack sighed looking from Night to the puppy then back before shaking his head. “We have two dogs already, I’m sorry but no Night.” He turned to walk out of the store before Nightmare could try something else that got him to cave in.

Nightmare quickly teleported in front of Zack, blocking the door therefore the exit. “I know we have two dogs but think of it this way, now is the perfect time to get Esmeralda a puppy to start teaching her about responsibility and give her a long time best friend. I know you can say no to me but can you really say no to our daughter?”

Zackary stared at him for a moment before sighing “that’s not fair”

“You of all people should know that I don’t play fair darling.”

“Fine Nightmare, you win, we’ll get her a puppy” Zackary finally gave in

“This one?” the dreamwalker asked smiling holding the puppy out.

“I don’t see why not, she is cute” Zack said taking the pup from his fiancé. “But Esmeralda gets to name her.”

“Of course.”

“Okay then let's go get a collar and leash then you go adopt her while I call Luna and tell her to meet us at the park with Esmeralda then we will go.” Zack said before handing the puppy back to Night and followed him over to the collars where they settled for a green one and a leash.

Night then headed up to the counter to pay and do the paperwork for adoption.

Zackary took the time to dial his little sister’s number and press call then waited for her answer.

Luna had been reading to Esmeralda, the girl in her lap, when she got the call. “Look there sweetie it’s your dad” the mage said before answering “Hello Zack what’s going on”

“Tell him he is interrupting story time…” the young girl looked up at her aunt

“Did you hear her, Zack?”

He laughed softly “I heard her, it must be a good story, how close to you to a stopping point?”

“We are almost at the chapter, why?”

“Night and me need you two to meet us at the park when you’re done.”

“Okay, where are you now?”

“The pet store”

“I’m going to need my camera then” Luna smiled

“I believe that to be a good idea.”

“Okay, see you then.”

“Bye Lu.”

“Bye Zack.” The mage hung up “your dads want to meet us at the park once we are done here.” She looked at the girl

“Kay, Auntie Lu…can we keep reading?”

Luna nodded and started the story again.

Zackary looked over to Night when he hung up just as he finished and walked over “I think our daughter is going to lecture me about interrupting story time.”

Night laughed “I think she will forgive you. Are you ready to go?”

“Yes, before you try to talk me into another dog”

“Would I do that?” he smiled

“Yes.” Zackary rolled his eyes and opened the door then followed Nightmare out the door and to the park.

The two where there for about 15 minutes walking around before Luna and Esmeralda found them but when they did the girl came running to hug both of her dads, startling the puppy to hide behind Night. Both men hugged her back.

Only when Esmeralda pulled away did she finally notice the puppy, “Who’s puppy is that?”

“Yours my dear” Night smiled and stepped closer to Zack and out of the way.

Esmeralda bent down and reached her hand out to the pup which after a moment walked over and sniffed then licked her hand then moved closer to lick her face. The girl giggled the looked up at Zack “what is its name?”

Zack smiled back “you get to name her baby girl. So you tell us.”

She looked back at the pup thinking then got a huge smile on her face “Her name is Annabeth” she then hugged her puppy.

Luna snapped some pictures.

Day 20- Graduation

Three years of hard training and villain attacks. Three years of friends and rivals. Three years of laughs and sorrow. All leading to this one day, the day that they graduate U.A. high school. Tomorrow they would go to their chosen agencies and began the next step in their journeys to become pro heroes.

Luna was excited for what was next but also felt a little sad to be leaving. She would miss seeing her friends everyday, she could only hope they would all stay in contact.

“Lu? You ready to go? It starts soon.”

The voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she turned her dark ocean blue eyes to meet the icy blue ones of her brother. She nodded to him with a smile. “Yeah lets go.” They had been permitted to stay off campus the night before so Luna and Shoto spent the night at Zack’s since it wasn’t far from the school. She got to her feet and followed them out of the door.

“You two excited?” Zack asked looking over to his little sister and adopted brother as they walked towards the school

Luna nodded. “And nervous...and slightly sad.” She admitted softly. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

Shoto nodded as well.

“Ah, I remember feeling like that too.” He smiled. “But it is okay and it will be okay.”

“Really?” She asked looking up to him.

Shoto was surprised as well “You seemed so calm…”

“Yes really. I was a wreck but I tried to keep it in.” Zack pulled them to a stop in front of the gates. “You both have worked so hard for this, I am so proud of you two.”

Her smile grew at that. “Thank you, Zack.”

Shoto dipped his head, a smile crossing his face. “Yes thank you”

“Whiplash! Icy-Hot! It’s time to meet up with the rest of the extras.”

Luna laughed softly. “That is our cue, we’ll see you later.” She grabbed Shoto’s hand then ran off after Bakugo so they could get ready.

Zack watched them run off

“You going to cry Redbrook?”

He sighed but laughed under his breath. “I may tear up but I’ll leave the crying to Pluto.” He turned to look at the woman that spoke. “Did you manage to drag Shadow out to see her sister graduate, Akira?” He asked noticing the one in question was dragging her brother away so Diamond could get going.

Amaya nodded. “Yeah, she said that she had to stop him from embarrassing Diamond the way he did her.”

“He means well though, they are the only family he has left.” Zackary shrugged as Shadow returned with her older brother.

“He is your problem today.” Shadow growled then pushed her brother into the raven haired male.

Zack rolled his eyes but steadied his friend. “Hey Pluto, why don’t we go find somewhere to sit.”

The silver haired male glared at his sister but then nodded. “Yeah okay.” He then followed Zack to find a seat. “How are you not more affected? Don’t you have two siblings graduating?”

Zack nodded. “Luna and Shoto, yeah. I am affected by it just not openly crying and clingy.” He teased softly.

“Yeah whatever.” Pluto rolled his eyes playfully. He faced forward when the ceremony finally started.

Zackary smiled as he watched.He was proud of both hero classes having made it this far despite all their hardships but that was nothing compared to the pride he felt for Luna, Shoto, Diamond and even Shinso, who he had gotten to know through Luna and training under Aizawa, for how much they had grown as people and heroes in the past three years.

Once the ceremony was over and the kids were released the two went to go catch up with their siblings. Poor Diamond didn’t stand a chance before Pluto caught her.

Zackary laughed softly then moved to where Luna and Shoto we standing talking with Fuyumi and Natsuo. “Congratulations you two.”

Luna smiled. “Thank you, Zack. Fuyumi was just saying that we should all go out for lunch to celebrate.”

“Oh that’s a good idea.” He agreed, nodding to the older female.

“Is father joining us?” Shoto spoke up looking between them.

Fuyumi looked down for a moment. She wanted to say yes because she still held hope they could be a family but she knew that her youngest brother and adopted sister still held harsh feelings towards their father. “That is up to you two…”

Luna sighed. “It would be the polite thing to do.” She looked to Shoto, who signed but nodded. “Okay then we will invite him.” She shot a look at Natsuo hearing him grumble under his breath.

“Be nice.” Zackary commented catching it as well. “Well while we get that invite to him why don’t the two of you go talk with your friends. We will find you.” His eyes then shifted back to where his friend was. “And maybe save Diamond.”

Luna laughed and nodded before moving over to her best friend, stopping next to Tokoyami who was also moving to save his girlfriend. “I’ll distract him if you want to grab her hand and run.”

Tokoyami nodded to her. “Sounds like a plan.”

Luna moved closer to the sibling pair “Okay, Mr. Goodwin that is enough, some of us want a turn.”

Pluto pulled back from his little sister. “Oh is that so, You just have to wait Ms. Redbrook.” He turned back only to see his little sister’s blue hair disappear into the crowd. “Very sneaky, Luna.”

She shrugged but smiled. “I didn’t say it was me wanting a turn.” she turned on her heel. “See you later, Pluto.” with that she walked away. She wasn’t to far in before a hand gently grabbed her arm.

“Excuse me, Redbrook...I’m sorry to bother you but Izuku says you are a good photographer. I was wondering if you could take our picture.”

Luna smiled softly at the woman. “Of course, Mrs. Midoriya.” She took the camera from her and waited for them to get in position then snapped a few pictures of them. “There you go.” She handed it back to her.

“Thank you so much.” She took the camera back. “Do you want to get a picture with Izuku?”

“Um..sure.” She moved to stand next to the green haired male so his mother could get the picture.

“Sorry about that...Luna, she pulled Todoroki and Kacchan in for pictures too.” Izuku said once they were done.

“There really is no need to apologize.” Luna smiled “By the way have you seen-”

“Shinso?” Izuku guessed and watched her nod. “I think I saw him with his parents by the gate.”

“Thank you, you really are a good friend.” She hugged him real quick then headed off. She made her way toward the front gate. Along the way she got pulled to the side a few more times and when she finally made it to the gate and looked around she didn’t see them anywhere. “I must have missed them……” She sighed softly, her smile fading.

Zackary had been sent to go find and tell Luna it was time to get going but he noticed the way her mood dropped. “Lu? What happened?”

She shook herself out of her thoughts. “Nothing, I just missed talking with Hitoshi and his parents. It’ll be okay.” she shrugged slightly. “I’ll just call him later. Time to get to lunch?”

Zack nodded to her. “Yeah, come on.” He turned and walked with her back to their adopted siblings then they all headed off campus and to the car. Zack ended up driving to the restaurant where they all talked and ate and for the most part remained polite when Endeavor joined them.

Day 14- Cuddles

The first thing Luna heard as she started coming to was the beeping of machines then slowly the sound of muffled voices started to come into focus but she couldn’t make them out.yet. She cracked her eyes open but quickly shut them from the brightness of the light hurting her head.

“Lu?...”

That was as voice she would recognize, and if she hadn’t the nick names was a dead give away. She tried opening her eyes again this time greeted by the sight of icy blue eyes and messy raven hair belonging to her elder brother. She wanted to greet him but found she couldn’t with the tube down her throat then she became hyper aware of all of the IVs and tubes and machines she was hooked to and started to freak out.

Zackary looked to the heart rate monitor as it spiked then back to his sister’s face. “Lu....I know this is scary but I promise you that you are safe, I need you to try and calm down....” As he spoke some doctors and nurses came running in to check her over and ask what happened, in which Zack answered.

In the end they decided to sedate her again to get her body to relax. They explained to Zack that it was a good sign that she had woken up and seemed so alert now they just had to let her body heal to catch up with her mind.

The next time Luna woke up the breathing tube was gone and while the room’s brightness still hurt her head it wasn’t as bad as before. She was able to take in more of her injuries; Cast on her legs and one arm, although the other still hurt so she guessed that it was freshly uncasted, the bandaging around her chest and abdomen told her there were broken ribs and healing incisions. She moved her good arm to her head to find a bandage there too.

“Luna?...” A shy soft voice sounded

Luna turned her eyes up to the light blue haired girl standing at the doorway. “Di-” Her voice sounded rough and crack and it hurt her throat.

Her friend moved over to her bedside. “They said that your throat might be swollen for a bit longer, you should probably not push it...” Diamond sighed, seeing the look on her best friend’s face. “You want to know what happened, right?”

Luna looked up at her but nodded.

“You remember the attack and the building falling?” She waited for her to nod the continued. “After that the Villains retreated, we still don’t know why. I saw it happen so the first place I went was to try to get you out with both Bakugo and Midoriya. Soon though Tokoyami, Todoroki, Shinso, and a few more of our class showed up to help…..” Her voice faltered. “You were in very bad shape when we finally found you… Shinso went down…. I don’t think any of us had ever seen Shinso cry and beg like that…”

Luna’s heart broke upon hearing that but the next statement shocked her.

“You died in his arms…. well we thought you did but your heart beat just got so faint that no one could find it until help finally arrived…..It took almost an hour to get your heart rate back up.” Diamond looked down. “You were brought here and treated. You have been in an out a lot so I can not tell you how happy it is to see you actually awake.”

Luna nodded slowly, trying to process when she had just been told as it was a lot to take in. What she could not deny though was how tired she was getting but she hated to do that to her friend.

“It’s okay Luna...You still need to rest.”

She nodded once as she closed her eyes. From that point on she woke up almost every day always catching Diamond or Zackary and even a couple of times Shoto and while she was happy to see all of them they weren’t the one person she really wanted to see. It was not until she was jolted awake one night by a thunderstorm that he was there.

In actuality Shinso was there most nights because Diamond and Shoto had normal sleep schedules and that was when Zackary did most of his potrols. Not that he really minded as it allowed him to see her and make sure she was okay as well as helping to relax the nightmares she was usually plagued with in hospitals.

Luna opened her dark blue eyes and glanced around the now dark room before they landed on the purple haired male sitting in the chair next to the bed with his head laid over the edge of the bed. She smiled faintly then moved her hand to gently brush her fingers through his hair which in turn woke him up. “Hey, sweetheart, long time no see…”

He lifted up his head to look at her, it taking a moment before it processed that she was actually awake. “Hello to you as well, kitten, and I’m here every night so maybe for you.” There was a light tone to his voice before he continued. “..how are you feeling?”

“Right now? I’m in a little pain but I’m okay. In general? I am so ready to get out of the hospital and I missed you.” She answered with a faint smile. “What about you?”

He sat up, losing her hand in his hair, and shrugged. “Worried about you mostly with some tired mixed in but I’m glad to hear you are okay.”

“Well I can’t do much more for your worrying but that chair can not be comfortable to sleep in so that might be why you are so tired…” Luna spoke looking at him.

“Oh and you have some other idea?”

She nodded slowly before scooting over on the bed to make him some room. “I can’t promise that it will be that much better but it is something.”

Shinso looked at her for a long moment. “I could argue with you but you aren’t going to take no for an answer are you?”

She shook her head. “Nope, not in the least.”

He sighed softly but stood up to walk over to the bed and sit down next to her on the bed then carefully laid down so to not hurt her or disturb the machines or IV. He let her adjust against him and get comfortable before careful wrapping his arm around her. “Happy now?”

“Extremely.” Luna grinned. “Are you? And are you comfortable?”

He nodded to her. “Yes and yes.”

“Good.” She laid her head against his chest. The two of them laid in the comfortable silence for a while but soon enough something that had been bothering her all this time came to a head. “Hitoshi…..”

That caught his attention, while they both had permission to use each other’s first names the still normally didn’t unless it was serious so it made him look down at her. “What is it?”

“I’m so sorry that I put you through all of that… I should have been more careful …. I...”

His arm tightened around her and he moved to kiss then top of her head. “It isn’t your fault, Luna.”

“It’s not yours either….” She moved her head so she could look up at him. She remembered bits and pieces from before she passed out but him blaming himself for not being there stuck out greatly.

“I know, I’ve been told many times. Honestly the important thing is that you are okay now.”

She nodded slowly and readjusted to her original position. Honestly she felt a little better now that that was cleared up and now her tiredness was taking hold. “I love you….”

Shinso smiled faintly. “I love you too, kitten, now get some sleep.” he spoke soothingly, holding her close while she finally fell back to sleep and soon her rhythmic breathing lulled him to sleep as well.

Day 9- birthday

The day started like any other, Luna woke up to the sound of purring and a face full of silver fur. After pushing her heavy cat off of her she sat up, trying to get a little more woken up. She glanced over at her phone when she heard it go off so she moved to grab it to find that the messages that had come from her chat room she and her Overwatch team had created. Although they never actually said who they were and went by their main characters, it made her smile.

Junkrat: Happy Birthday to our D.Va main Junkrat: Or at least according to your information on this site. Roadhog: Yeah, happy birthday, I guess Ana: Same^^^^^. We should schedule our next ass kicking soon Mercy: I’m sure you are busy today though, D.Va so maybe next weekend Reaper: If I can get the day off that works for me. Reaper: Oh and Happy birthday.

D.Va: Thank you all for the birthday wishes and I completely agree we need to schedule our next “ass kicking” but I may have to wait until closer to the weekend to confirm.

Luna laughed softly as she was messaging back the group then put her phone back down and stood up stretching. She moved to her closet and pulled out a pair of dark jeans, her heeled boots, and long shirt and a belt around her waist. She got changed and moved to brush her teeth, bush out her hair, and doing her makeup. She was in the middle of doing so when she got a knock on the door so she moved to open it to find the one and only Shinso standing there. “Hey, Sweetheart, what are you doing here so early?” she moved to go finish what she was doing.

“I came to see if you wanted to go to the coffee shop down the street for breakfast.” He answered her, stepping into the room and shutting the door while he waited for her.

“Yeah that sounds great actually.” She smiled. She soon finished up and put everything away. She pulled on her boots and stood up. “How do I look?”

“Hmm…” He made his way over to stand in front of her, the heels of her boots making up some of the nearly seven inch difference in their heights. Shinso looked down into her ocean blue eyes then leaned down, eliminating the remaining distance with a kiss. “You look great, kitten.”

Luna’s smile grew “Thank you, now we may go.”

He nodded then took her hand and together the two of them heading out of the room and down the stairs before leaving the building all together and heading down the street.

Shinso’s job was to keep his girlfriend busy and when he got a message take her to the park, so he took her out for coffee and breakfast then a walk around town. It was a nice day and it was fun to spend time with her so he really couldn’t complain. Once he got the text though he started he in the direction of the park.

Luna would have been happy if this was all her birthday held in store but as it turned out that it wasn’t. As they were first approaching the park she started to notice their classmates, well the ones she hadn’t pissed off, but soon her attention was pulled from them to the raven haired male standing in toward the edge.

“Go ahead, Kitten.” Shinso let go of her hand

Luna smiled widely then ran over to the young hero and hugging him immediately. “Zackary! Wait I thought you were busy today.”

Zack’s icy blue eyes lit up upon seeing his little sister and he hugged her in return. “Well I kind of was and I do have to go on patrol tonight but I wasn’t going to miss your birthday, Lu.” He let go of her. “I am sorry I’ve been so busy though.”

“It’s fine, you are a hero.” Luna grinned before looking around. “So who’s idea was all of this?”

“Diamond’s actually.” Shinso answered walking over to the two siblings. “I was to keep you busy, your brother here i believe made the cake, She convinced Bakugo to cook, Jiro was music, and everyone else helped where they were needed.” He shrugged.

“Wow, this is all so cool.” Luna said after a moment actually in awe of it as she would have never expected something like this. She then noticed the blue haired girl walking over to them. “Diamond! Thank you for all of this.”

“You’re welcome, Luna.” the girl smiled at her best friend. “By the way you’re going to want to open your gifts first as i’m sure you will want them for the rest of the party.”

Luna didn’t have much time ask before her friend grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the boxes and started handing them to her one at a time. The first box she opened was from Zackary which turned out to be the camera she had been wanting. She couldn’t contain her excitement for that one so she didn’t try for the rest. Shinso’s gift was a personalized camera bag and some toys for Willow, as most knows she spoils her cat. Diamond’s was a lens and a tube of catnip. Shoto’s gift followed the same theme with a tripod and external flash. From there the gifts ventured off into her other interest with CDs, books, a new set of headphones with a mic, and so on but then last gift which came from Bakugo had her laughing ‘A Cookbook For Beginners and Dummies.’ “Thank you so much, but according to you and you.” She pointed to Bakugo and then Zackary. “I’m not allowed near a kitchen.”

“Read that and then we will talk.” the blonde replied gruffly.

“Yeah okay.” She smiled. “Honestly thank you all for all of this.Now let’s all have some fun.”

And so they did. The group had fun dancing, talking, and eating. Luna had fun testing out the new camera. When it was time to clean up they all chipped in and got it done faster before heading back to the dorms together. Luna hung back once they reached the gates to the campus to tell her brother bye and wish him luck then headed in with everyone else.

Overall is was a great day and possibly the best birthday she had ever had.

day 4-dream

‘A church? Why was he in a church?’ Pluto thought to himself as he looked around trying to figure it out. His sight didn’t get much farther then the woman standing in front of him getting ready, her black hair with it’s white tips almost as unmistakable as her cat ears. ‘This must be her wedding but why wasn’t he with his sister? She must have kicked him out.’

“Are you going to keep daydreaming all day or can you help me?” Amaya asked turning her purple slitted eyes to him in the mirror.

“Yeah..” He shook out of his thoughts and moved over to her. “What can I help you with?”

“Would you mind lacing up the back for me?” She asked pulling her hair over her shoulder so he had full access

He nodded then moved to stand behind her and started working on the lacing and tightening it as he did. Her dress should have been his first big red flag because given how proud of her heritage she was it looked nothing like it but that didn’t register with him. Once he finished he stepped back. “There done.” he watched her fix her hair. “You look amazing Ms. Akira.”

She rolled her eyes. ��Get that out of your system while you can as that won’t be my name for much longer.”

“Oh really? I thought you would never come off your last name” He laughed softly. “Are you excited?”

“Extremely.” She smiled excitedly. She looked to the clock on the wall. “It’s almost time. Time for everyone to go to their places.”

The dream then shifted and had Pluto in a seat watching Amaya coming down the aisle. He looked forward and frowned when he saw Zackary standing there. ‘This is wrong, where is Shadow?’ he thought to himself. He couldn’t move or open his mouth to object. The white haired hero was forced to sit there and watch the ceremony, listen to the kind words and vows they spoke to one another that would have never came out of their mouths in the waking world. It was the kiss that finally jerked him into the waking world.

Pluto opened his steely blue-gray eyes and stared up at the ceiling, trying to possess what had just happened. It was true that he wanted his best friends to get along better then they did but that dream was just way too bizarre however he still had the urge to make sure it was just a dream. He sat up in bed and grabbed his phone and looked at the time, sighing at the time. “They may not be up yet but what the hell.” He set up a conference call then dialed both of their numbers.

Amaya was already up so when she heard her phone rang she was quick to answer. “Hey Pluto, is something wrong?”

“Not really, I just had a weird dream and it made me uneasy so I was trying to clear it up with you and Zack…” Even as he spoke he realized how stupid it sounded and was ready to end the call now but her answer took him by surpise.

“You mean the stupid asshole that is crashed on my couch?” She sighed and moved from her room where she was getting ready and into the living room.

“Why is he there? I thought you hated one another.” He asked getting worried now.

“Oh that’s right, you were off last night...I ran into some trouble and our teammate here managed to find me…. Let’s just say I owe him and I hate that with the passion of a thousand burning suns.” She sighed. She looked to the man on her couch. “Besides we never hated each other we just don’t like one another, like we can screw with one another but no one else can.”

“I see, is he okay at least?” He was glad to hear her answer but her worry shifted to his friend.

“Yeah I think that he will be. I already gave him blood and he is healing so he just needs to rest. You said you wanted to talk. Do you want me to wake him up? I’m more than happy too.” She asked as she moved to the kitchen to get some juice.

“No, it can wait besides you relieved all my worries for the moment..”

“Okay then, well if that was all, I need to go finish getting ready as I have to meet Shadow for lunch before she heads to her internship.”

Pluto smiled softly at hearing that. “Okay I’ll talk to you later.” He hung up the phone and set it down before laying back, It was all just a twisted dream and while he was relieved about that he was now worried by whatever could have attacked them but that was something he could discuss with Zackary later.
