you know that romcom trope where the guy’s, like, fallen in a pool or is lying in the snow or something and fakes that he can’t get up so the girl will give him her hand to help him up? except it’s all a ploy and instead of standing up, once he takes her hand, he pulls her down with him? i need that with marichat except when chat tries to - gently! bc he’s a gentleman! even if he’s a joking one! - tug marinette down, it has zero effect on her. she’s unmoveable. marinette ‘i’ve got sick biceps from punching akuma and saving paris on a daily basis that i hide under my cute lil cardigan’ dupain-cheng just counters the pull. chat’s like ????? and experimentally tries tugging a little bit harder, but marinette still won’t go down. she’s completely unaffected. without batting an eye or breaking a sweat, all five foot nothing of her one-handedly hoists him right back up to standing position. and chat’s just like 😳 HOW are you so strong??? and marinette’s like UM carrying bolts of fabric!! bc i love designing!! and (7) bolts of fabric weigh about as much as a lucky charm fire hydrant ha ha I’M GUESSING not that i would know ha ha 😊 and chat 100% misses all of this telling explanation bc he’s too busy: 1) blushing furiously, trying very hard not to check out her arms, failing, and then blushing furiously all over again; and 2) dealing with his brain screaming i have a TYPE 😳😳😳 over and over and over again like never-ending ticker-tape at the bottom of the Captain Obvious News Channel. 

(3 weeks later, chat’s casually like, hey, ladybug, you should do an arm wrestling booth for that charity fair next hero’s day! it’d be really cool! i even have your first customer! i’d love to see you arm-wrestle this really strong girl i know, marinette dupain cheng! and ladybug about falls off a roof.)
