Some sketches of angels from my different worldbuilding projects.

At the top, the something like screaming, dying fire living on the wind is an Angel from the World of Light and Darkness, the fallen Light-born of the stars. They are eternally suffering and eternally living tragedies.

To the left, the something made of ink and voices and dreams is an Angel of the Songbird of the Layered Earth, someone who has lost themselves to the allure of everlasting creation.

To the right, the something cursed with sight beyond the broken sky is an Angel of Æther (not Aether, Æther) of a different part of the Layered Earth, someone who carries a fragment of the crazed, invading magic in their eyes.

hmm not sure how to feel about obey me running the same pop quiz concurrently in both games

there's a weird disconnect - the new ui and sfx of nightbringer did a good job of giving that disjointed feeling of being somewhere unfamiliar, but given that the pop quiz seems to be taking place in the present that mc came from, the nightbringer ui just feels.... off in the wrong way

given that i've got more resources there i'll probably keep using the original game to play the pop quizzes, but since you can get devil points for s ranking a rhythm stage in nightbringer, seems like these events will be a good place to farm some!

(though in the first place i'd rather they finish the nightbringer story before adding supplementary content like this)

#obey me #i guess there's also the argument to be made that this kind of makes the original game defunct for players who've finished s4 #if the pop quizzes are in both games there's no new content unique to the og to warrant keeping it #also i wonder (since the event nightmares are shared) are the devilgram stories the same? #i know that most people playing nightbringer came from the original but there's always going to be some people new to the series #and in the first place it just feels jarring to be midway through a story where the point is that the brothers are unfamiliar #only for the pop quiz to just kinda go 'yah forget that' #also the longer i've had to think about it the more worried i've gotten about whether or not mc's actually gonna go back to the present #given solomon's odd line about remembering that that's where you belong #in a way i guess i wouldn't want mc to leave the brothers behind in this more vulnerable phase #but in another if they stayed it kind of undoes what they've done from og s1 onwards #also i still wanna know how this isn't creating the world's biggest time paradox #if past asmo already has a pact with solomon now what's gonna happen when they meet at that bar where they're supposed to have made it?? #depending on that bit in (was it s4 or s3??) where mc + satan end up in the celestial realm #was it that they went back in time or was it an illusion or something?? #anyway i've seen some people say that the angel brothers don't remember exactly meeting them #but they still feel their influence afterwards #so maybe that's the case for mc in nightbringer?? #anyway. sorry for rambling in tags again

Asmo, Simeon, and MC Get Settled in Their Room

Author's Note: Yes, I'm rewriting the original scene, because I'm not too keen with how it goes. I feel like the deep conversations occur in the late hours of the night.

"Oh, I just love sleepovers!" Asmo exclaims as he plops down on one of the beds. "The makeovers, the conversations, the festivities...so exciting!"

"Every night at the Celestial Realm is essentially a sleepover," Simeon replies as he sits on the edge of the second bed. "We sleep with different people each night so that no one feels left out or ignored."

"How about you, MC?" Asmo asks. "How do you feel about sleepovers?"

"Well, to be honest, I've never been to a proper sleepover," I answer as I lay down on the last bed. "I mean, I've slept over at individual friends' houses when I was younger, but I've not done it with a group of people before."

"Then you're in for a treat! Since we have some time on our hands before the tour, we can partake in one of my favorite sleepover activities right now!"

"Which is...?"

"Secret telling. Each of us gets one question to ask the other two, and they have to answer honestly."

"Sounds like fun," Simeon says. "Do you mind if I go first, Asmo?"

"Go right ahead!" Asmo smiles at Simeon, causing the angel to do the same.

"My question's pretty tame, but what's something you guys are looking forward to about the retreat?"

"That's easy: the dance! The music's always exquisite, the outfits are beautiful, and I love dancing with all sorts of different people."

"And then fucking them later," I add before I can stop myself.

"Well, of course, MC! The dance serves as the foreplay. Some of my best nights happened after dances."

"One of my worst nights happened at one."

"As much as I would like to inquire about that, I've already asked my question," Simeon states. "Perhaps we can talk about it once we get back from the tour."

"Which I imagine MC's looking forward to the most," Asmo adds. "They love taking notes about everything here."

"For your information, I'm actually looking forward to the dance, too," I tell him, causing him to squeal.

"You have to let me do your hair and makeup! Simeon, you too. With me around, you'll be among the most beautiful people there!"

"Of course, you'll make sure that we don't outshine you," Simeon responds with a mischievous grin. "After all, you have to be the belle of the ball."

"Speaking of dances, that brings me to my question: is there anyone that you would like to be your partner?"

"Well, I would say Solomon, but I'm pretty sure he's accounted for already."

"Don't worry, Simeon; I'll let you have a turn." I had no idea Asmo and Solomon were romantically involved. "How about you, MC?" I feel my face heat up as I think about the ramifications of me answering his question truthfully.

"Do you promise not to make fun of me?"

"Of course," Simeon answers. "This is meant to be a friendly get-together, not a hostile one." I sigh.

"If possible, I'd like to dance with Lucifer." Asmo gasps.

"No way!" he exclaims. "He totally has the hots for you. I can sense it whenever he's around you."

"I don't know. He did call me a lowly human. That doesn't sound like someone who's interested in me like that."

"Lucifer's definitely worried about you," Simeon states quietly. "He's told me as much over text. I know he thinks that he's being slick by hiding his concern behind the exchange program, but the truth is, he cares about you very deeply, MC." Before I have the chance to say anything, Satan pokes his head in the doorway.

"Hey, the tour of the Demon Lord's Castle is starting soon," he informs us.

Dystopian Celestial AU [Copypasted from a conversation]

i wanna make a sub au where its supernatural/holy entites mixed w dystopia (+ redesign my fallen angel oc designs)

inspired by ff7, horizon and probably a bunch of other games i forgot

mainly ff7, even tho i havent even played the game LMAO

but ive seen a few clips and i like the environment/graphics/vibes

so for now just think of a dystopian setting where the angels demons and allsorts exist

nothing too supernatural

probably conflict within society

the setting i think it has a junkyard type vibes

for fits they'd have more streetwear/cyberpunk (as in the game, not so much the modern full of belts) fits

knowing tetsuya nomura, designs might be on the more obscure side (if youve seen some of the kh designs you might(?) get a bit of the feel??)

i'd think abt a lot of leather, heavy duty jackets, worn out clothing, cargo pants, combat boots

and dark color schemes

as for lore

the world is kinda in a state of poverty (typical dystopian setting), humans hate the holy supernatural thinking they're the cause of their misery

its like the gods abandoned the humans

and humans think the supernaturals are so full of themselves

the supernaturals think humans are idiots for blaming their problems on them 

and basically theres tension/conflict between the two sides (not to mention between heaven and hell but even then, they're more on neutral terms than with humans ironically)

i think even supernaturals feel abandoned by gods in this world

theyre not necessarily holy

theyre questioning their own existence

demons dont care as much but angels are probably lost and just doing what they can”

NEW ADDITION: 4 DISTRICTS - Protection(Earth), Power(Fire), Creation(Water), Liberty(Air) - used to be united until conflicts raised and differences in opinion. [NAMES TBD]

Summary: Lee, being fed up with having to be an angel and her overly devoted angel family and their ways, ran away and ripped her wings off in the process. The escape process was a dangerously risky one, having been hunted down by the angels who refused to let her leave, resulting in her suffering heavy injuries as she collapsed after venturing as far away as possible. a nearby settlement [Liberty], alerted by the disturbance, finds the girl upon their investigation and brings her in. When Lee wakes up, she is only able to remember her name, but is nonetheless accepted refuge in their settlement. Basically, what happens throughout the story is that Lee learns to be human, slowly gets back her memories, and starts turning into a fallen angel.
