5, 10, 19, 25 and 27 for the oc writer asks 💞
Aye, Mika! Thankies for the ask, let’s get the show on the road with these answers!
5. What are some of your OCs biggest fears?
A: Marigold’s biggest fears is often not finding the right one to be in love with (she’s shameless when it comes to wanting to be in a relationship). Since Marigold is a Deputy who’s secretly a magical girl, her other biggest fears ranges from her identity being exposed to failing the Heart Angel’s mission to get rid of despair and other deep negative emotions. Tossing Renee (a future homemade Hetalia Otome heroine) in here, her biggest fear is her ex finding her and attempt to rekindle the relationship. She had some good reasons to break up with him due to the fact he have puppet magic which is banned in Solia (a hidden country), girl tried her best to look past that but couldn’t to no avail D>
10. OC you most struggled to make?
Let’s see…the one I am still struggling the most is Setsuko Hirano who’s a Haikyuu OC of mine. I do have a idea on her personality (kinda) but her potential love interests…it’s all over the place even when I done a crossover love interest, that too became a mess. I just stopped on her. Yay, struggling 🫠
19. What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?
A: On my original stories, one who teens do normal teen stuff such as investigating supernatural events and discovering a elemental magic welding human species. It comes from my endless love for magic and my need for some group of friends also some spooky shenanigans I experienced myself and heard from family to my irl friends to my teachers. Another one I have and still currently working on is just based off from a song, nothing exciting lol. Sometimes, it’s only a song I based off on my stories.
25. What’s your favorite genre to write? Is it also your favorite genre to read?
A: Slice of Life, Fantasy (With magic mostly), romance, action, adventure, supernatural, horror (I’m tryna). When I think about it, the genres I motioned is what I love to read expect horror.
27. What are your favorite movies?
A: The Princess and The Frog, Return of the Jedi (listen, I love the other two films but nostalgic overpowers me), Star Wars The Phantom Menace (also nostalgic reasons), Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Black Cauldron (quite underrated to me), Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, The Fox and The Hound, Tom and Jerry: The Movie (1992) (I liked it sksjsh), Alien vs Predator (a comfort movie in a weird way), Alien vs Predator: Requiem (also comfort movie in weird way), Tron: Legacy (2010), Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, Tyler Perry’s Big Happy Family, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection, Tyler Perry’s A Medea Family Funeral, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Catwoman, Birds of Prey
I really enjoyed answering this questions! Enjoy!!

Eva's Thoughts
The others paint this completely inaccurate picture of me based on a fraction of who I truly am. I think they do so because it provides a sense of a watchdog looking over them. Regardless, I believe I've come to retire from the need for roles and have adapted more to simply enjoying existing.
They don't often mention it but I do love laughing. I thoroughly enjoy comedy movies. The Madea ones likely being my favorites. Diary of a Mad Black Woman is my spirit movie and I dream of embodying the strength seen in that movie. I'm watching Death at a Funeral now, the 2010 version. Another one that brings me to tears laughing.
True Crime is another genre I spend time exploring.
Dancing is my passion. One I tried to wall and hide away but am also learning to embrace. I do like reading but neither Zoe nor I have adapted well to transitioning to digital books. I find reading on my phone distracting, and the tiny size of it infuriating. Romance and Mystery are the two genres I tend to read. Occasionally I enjoy a good psychological thriller.
I love being active. I used to play tennis and basketball and was a typical tomboy. I don't quite remember when I grew out of that. I believe sometime during the hypnosis abuse.
I don't talk often about it, usually in trying to distance myself from it. I never stop to think how much that altered me because it means remembering who I was before, and the things that have happened to me.
Other things I love are family activities. I enjoy going out and visiting new places. Road trips, proper company depending, are wonderful. I strive to build transitions and positive memories.
I quite thankful this year that I've been able to rediscover myself and begin living my life. I do have high hopes it will only continue getting better.

Mini Reviews: Watch "No Hard Feelings" and "Red, White and Royal Blue"
As the end of summer approaches, I'm trying to catch up on movies I wanted to see. Hoping to see Strays this weekend, but still saw some good stuff on streaming that you should definitely check out!
Contagion: Yeah, this probably isn't the best movie to watch if you hate the era we're living in. Watching this was like watching every single stupid mistake everyone made in 2020 (and is still making now). Jude Law is especially loathsome as a conspiracy theories that winds up getting all his lemmings killed.
A Madea Family Funeral: Boy, out of all the dysfunctional families we've seen in the Tyler Perry Madea Cinematic Universe, this one takes the cake. I'm not exaggerating.
The Matrix Resurrections: I did enjoy how meta this got, seeing the Wachowskis give a very obvious middle finger to Warner Brothers for pushing them to do a sequel/reboot. The "White Rabbit" sequence is the best part of the whole movie.
The King's Man: Not-so-fun prequel to the Kingsman movies. Disappointing.
No Hard Feelings: Finally watched this, and Jennifer Lawrence is made to do comedy movies. What starts out as a raunchy (and controversial) comedy ends up being a surprisingly poignant and ultimately platonic love story between her character and the young man whose parents pay her to date. Rent it if you haven't already.
Asteroid City: Another quirky Wes Anderson movie. Jeff Goldblum as the alien was perfect casting though.
Red, White, and Royal Blue: I loved even more than the book. High recommended.
You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah: Who would have thought Adam Sandler could pull off such a sweet and poignant Jewish coming-of-age movie? Of course, most of the credit belongs to Sunny Sandler, and you shut up with your "nepo babies" cracks now. She's great in this movie and if she wants to keep it at it, she's got the potential for a great career.
Puppy Love: Lucy Hale and Grant Gustin are forced together when their new dogs have puppies together. A very cute romantic comedy. I could definitely relate to Grant's character's anxieties.

Tyler Perry Sets Exclusive Deal with Prime Video
Tumblr media
Tyler Perry has set a four-movie deal with streaming giant, Amazon Prime Video according to The Hollywood Reporter. Perry will write, direct, and produce four features which will premiere exclusively on Prime Video. Prior to this deal with Amazon, Perry had been working with Netflix with his two most recent movies, the new Madea film and A Jazzman’s Blues, premiering exclusively on the streamer earlier this year. Perry praised Prime Video for “welcoming him with open arms” and expressed excitement about bringing his projects to the global audiences which Prime Video can reach. Prior to his recent deals with streaming services, Perry had a first-look features deal with Lionsgate who released his 2019 film, A Madea Family Funeral, which earned over $75 million globally.
This deal between Perry and Prime Video is not the first of its kind as more and more streaming services have begun signing exclusive deals with talent both in front and behind the camera in an effort to differentiate themselves and their content offerings. Netflix was one of the firsts to try out this model. The streamer has lucrative deals with Shonda Rhimes, Greg Berlanti, and Ryan Murphy whose recent hits Dahmer and The Watcher have proved that these deals are might just be paying off. Perhaps other streaming services will follow suit as original content proves to increase in importance.

Tyler perry s a madea christmas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, as Eileen predicts, things are not what they seem. Not to mention, her mom and good old Madea’s niece, Eileen is planning a surprise visit, bringing smart-mouthed Madea with her, against Lacey’s wishes. Our story revolves around a young school teacher, Lacey and her struggle to help the town out with their goal of participating in their annual Christmas Jubilee and adjusting to life in the country with her new husband, Connor (whom she had secretly eloped with). They’re not likely to erect a Madea statue in Atlanta any time soon, but the old broad at least deserves a decent burial. It’s almost Christmas time! And everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit in southern Georgia. Where once she and Perry represented “black cinema” as a whole, now he is one in a multitude of voices. Like it or not, Madea has sustained African-American film-making through lean, pre-#OscarsSoWhite times. He is quite possibly the most successful indie film-maker of all time. In 2012, he signed a huge TV deal with Oprah’s OWN network and signed an even huger one with Paramount and BET in 2017 (maybe why he no longer needs Madea). He produced non-Madea movies such as Precious and For Colored Girls and the new Tiffany Haddish comedy Nobody’s Fool. Now Perry runs a 330-acre studio in Atlanta. He kept on rewriting and restaging his works until he found a shtick that clicked. He first tried her out in 1999, in low-budget stage productions which he wrote, directed, financed, starred in, and sold the half-time popcorn at.
Tumblr media
Writer Donald Bogle also described Madea as “mammy-like”, observing: “If a white director put out this product, the black audience would be appalled.” Such criticisms are condescending towards his audiences, says Perry.īut even his critics see how far Perry has come. Spike Lee has dismissed Perry’s films as humiliating, racially stereotyping “coonery and buffoonery”. Not that everyone loves Madea by any means. Its sequels have fared little better, but the franchise has made nearly half a billion dollars. To many, Madea movies are virtually unwatchable: her 2005 movie debut, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 16%. In the movies, her painfully broad slapstick is often mixed in with soapy family melodrama dealing with themes of domestic violence, religious salvation and conservative family values (Perry is a Christian). She speaks in exaggerated “Ebonics”, shuns political correctness, commits crimes and often asserts her ol’-time values with the aid of firearms. Her pantomime-dame antics make Eddie Murphy’s Nutty Professor II: The Klumps look Shakespearean. Few will mourn her passing but it’s the end of some kind of era.įor the uninitiated, which includes most non-African Americans, Madea is a bewildering proposition, her enduring popularity even more so. After nearly 20 years, 10 stage plays, 10 movies, numerous cameos and even a straight-to-DVD animation, Perry announced he is retiring the Madea character after next year’s A Madea Family Funeral. “Time for me to bury that old broad, man.” Usually that’s no way to talk about a septuagenarian great-grandmother, but Perry is referring to his own fat-suited alter ego, and many would agree with him. “I ’m sick of that old bitch,” Tyler Perry recently said of Mabel “ Madea” Simmons.
