I could be completely wrong but I’m just makin guesses while the official lyrics aren’t out. Eat Your Young does seem to be partially inspired by A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift.

In case you haven’t read A Modest Proposal (which I do recommend reading as it’s a short yet interesting read), it’s a satirical essay suggesting that the poor in Ireland sell their children as food to the rich

No cause I’m so upset and disappointed at myself that I completely overlooked Jonathan Swift’s A Modest Proposal for Eat Your Young. That’s on me. It fits so well, and so much better than the Kronos mythology I initially thought. With the state of everything right now, and all the laws being enacted in America (and the laws loudly being not written), this idea of sacrificing children for the comfort of adults. In school shootings. In attacking LGBTQIA+ children. In making sure the younger generations will never have the money to survive nor the power to make change, because if they do, then the older generations will be the first to go hungry.
