Here’s some motives for your whumpers!
TW for a lot of things- but it’s only mentioned
I’ve probably missed a tonne of things, but thought it might be fun to try using a mindmap.
Also, here are the links to the series’ that I’ve mentioned:
Play Pretend by @oddsconvert
Brother’s Keeper by @darkthingshappen
Whumping the Whumpers by @painsandconfusion
The Kennel and Behaviour Modification by @whumpcereal
(Also gonna mention that there are multiple motives in these stories, not just the ones I put them under)

ideas for overcoming boredom:
read a book
catch up on assignments
bake/cook something
craft
write a poem
commit crimes
kill 1000 evil men
partake in gay sex (preferably in prison but anywhere works)
pirate disney movies
watch horror movies
get off to said horror movies
be the leader of the broken and the dammed
run from the government while simultaneously killing them
cover yourself in blood
dance super elegantly
eat a crayon
fail chemistry class
don’t actually go to church but enjoy the aesthetic of it
wear a slutty little dress
play guitar. play it now
dye your hair red and/or black
overthrow the government
die
play video games :)

Its come to my attention that lots of people including myself don't allow ourselves to be bored anymore.
And maybe that's the reason why my weird head stories and ideas have fizzled out over the years. Its always jam packed with To-Do lists and when that list is done and we have nothing to do, the bored kicks in and we get scared and make up some stupid, "Productive-Should-Do" list. Rather than be "I'm bored.......what d'yah wanna do......I don't fucking know....there's nothing to do.........................pst. Hey. Remember that tiny random kernel of thought/idea you had like 4 months ago?.....wanna try it?/ look it up?/expand on it?...it'll be novel~!"

Svern sleeping positions
Most common, often in an inconvenient place
Sprawled flat (usually on back)
Twisted into knot
Crammed into small space
Draped over object
Like you were sitting/kneeling with your legs tucked under you but then put your face on the floor and fell asleep like that
Rare special edition
If he's very tired and alone in a safe place, or otherwise very okay with the location/people nearby, there's a chance he'll sleep on his side with his legs pulled partway up to his chest, sometimes with an arm also pulled up to cover his face
