Let me retire!
Danny was tired of being a hero, in addition to being a profession that paid with nothing more than mental exhaustion and ungrateful citizens, the halfa was tired of having to bandage his wounds day after day, tired of seeing both perspectives and not knowing which side take
Danny could understand ghosts, he could understand how their obsessions were a fundamental part of who they were as people and there were things they couldn't help. While he initially protected Amity from the ghosts, at some point he also had to protect the ghosts from Amity.
So, it's no wonder that as soon as he saw the founding of the "Justice League" he declared that he was going to retire. He told it to the ghosts, since the humans weren't going to pay much attention to him.
The problem was when 2 weeks later he had to come out of his early retirement because the League had labeled Amity as "neutral ground" and "dangerous" and they were "capturing" criminals, who weren't even criminals, Ember was giving a concert!
Frustrated, the halfa went to the Watchtower, it was supposed to be his retirement! stop ruining it!

I love how Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse said “Anyone can be Spider-Man”. I love how it inspired everyone to imagine their own Spider-People, saving the day in their own universes, with all kinds of cool, interesting personalities and aesthetics and mutations and life stories and relationships. We all put pieces of our soul into these homemade heroes. We had fun. We found community. And then Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse said, “Wow, great job! You’ve really taken our message to heart. Well, get ready for even more of everything you liked from the first movie and a new message to complement the first. Anyone can be Spider-Man… and anyone can be pulled into a cult.”
So now we all have to contemplate whether our lovingly crafted heroes would ever be on Team Mandatory Trauma Because Martyr Complex or not and why.

It makes perfect sense, Mulder. Admit it. You fell for it. Your "Fortean Event" turned out to be nothing more than the oldest story in the world. Two men. One woman. Trouble.

lately ive felt very helpless as to the direction the world is going...... the fact i may never see a winter like the ones in my childhood ever again is very depressing, and the fact that each year the forest fires get bigger and closer is terrifying. the popularity of ai creations scares and saddens me. the way the media twists its words to cover up the fact its downplaying atrocities...... et cetera et cetera. it all makes me very sad.
but talking to my friends is nice. making art is nice. seeing other people's art is nice. listening to music is nice. eating delicious food is nice. putting outfits together is nice. collecting items that make me happy is nice. using fancy body products is nice. i will continue to enjoy the nice things the world has to offer until i die.

You mentioned in another post that fionn would join the sleep pile at some point so my question is how would the puppets react to this?
And just fionn softening up in general lol.
It would definitely take them by surprise fgdbgfhbnfgh- A grouch like Fionn joining them out of the blue,, but the majority of them accept this change, Wally and Julie feeling more comfortable sleeping with him around
But in general, reactions to him softening up are as follows:
Wally: kinda surprised at first, but welcomes the change - he now has a drawing buddy!!
Barnaby: relieved to see him let go of his grouchiness a bit, but will tease him about it to no end!
Julie: same as Wally but a bit more cautious initially, afterwards she will jump on his back randomly for piggy back rides!
Frank: certainly surprised him a lot, but gave him a slight chance, he wasn't convinced at first. but after some time he felt a bit more comfortable to the point of Fionn listening to him info dumping about his research on human world butterflies!
Eddie: very protective of Frank so he wasn't convinced either, but eventually he softened up too, both sharing friendly banter.
Howdy: the same as Eddie, but Howdy isn't afraid to call Fionn out on bad habits still
Sally: she was not convinced at all, still isn't but not as much - she still sees him as a rival of sorts, she hates his guts lmao
Poppy: she's very welcoming of the change, happy to see Fionn bloom for the better! She even lets him hug her, that is if he wants to!

Monster (or not?)
It was a normal day for the Justice League, nothing special had happened, but Batman seemed to have a bad feeling. So when the alarm went off, he was prepared for almost anything.
Unfortunately, not much can prepare you for a 10-foot ice-covered, invincible Eldritch in the middle of Gotham. As much as the League tried, they didn't seem to do any damage to it (Jason was the first to notice that the creature wasn't attacking, just defending itself; he frowned at the observation).
From there, many strange things began to happen. First: A group of people dressed in white (which, frankly, they had never seen before in their lives) fanned out around the League, giving them weapons capable of harming the "creature" and pointing out to them that it was a "ghost", giving information about it.
Second, a pair of colorful scientists stood at the center of all the agents in white, though they seemed to be arguing with each other. One looked murderous, while the other looked... tired, almost guilty.
Third and last, a group of students kept trying to get closer. Jason thought they were suicidal until he heard the girl in purple tell them to leave "Danny" alone. She seemed to be silenced quickly, but the detail stuck in his head.
With a bad feeling, Jason turned to the college kids. A red-haired girl stood in the center of them, holding a chunk of ice? and watching the creature at the center of it all. While the League dealt with the agents in white, Jason decided to listen to them.
"He's my brother," the redhead said as soon as she saw him, "he's not a monster, they broke his core, please, you need to understand"
Jason looked at the creature again, although its body was mostly black, he could see ice covering a crystal in the center, it looked broken, he suspected that was his "core". At the same moment, Bruce finished talking to the men in white and accepted the weapons.
Danny was frightened and panicked. His form changed when his core broke in the middle of a fight, the GIW had shot him, and he didn't know how to retreat to his original form. His words came out only in Ghost speak, and the heroes around him looked ready to kill him, which didn't help his ice control.
