Asked if her role as Paulina and Time in the 2015 version of A Winter’s Tale will be her last, she said: “I wouldn’t like to think that, it probably is but I’m going to say that. You never know, do you?
“I’ve never been in Othello, that would have been nice at some point.”

December 11th, 1995 - Queen Story!
Queen released ‘A Winter's Tale’/‘Thank God It's Christmas’/'Rock In Rio Blues’ in UK
🔸"Freddie wrote the song in Montreux, in a little house on the lake that we called The Duck House. The extraordinary thing is he's talking about life and its beauty at a time when he knows he hasn't got very long to go, yet there's no wallowing in emotion, it's just absolutely purely observed.
So that's the way I wanted my solo to be. It was one of those things where I could hear it in my head, long before I actually got to play it. And when I recorded it, at my home studio, in my head I was there with Freddie in Montreux in those moments, even though this was happening long after he was gone."
- Brian May, Mojo magazine
🔸🔸The statue is now a permanent fixture by the lake, with Freddie standing proud, purveyor of a spectacular landscape and the many people that come to visit him there. The effigy is every bit as imposing as Freddie was on stage and has become a great tourist attraction. Queen's inimitable front man stands tall, overseeing the view he himself enjoyed so much and indeed captured in the lyrics of one of his final songs, A Winter's Tale; swans floating by, sea-gulls flying over, a silky moon up in the sky, mountains zoomin' higher, quiet and peaceful, tranquil and blissful, a kind of magic in the air, a truly magnificent view, a breathtaking scene, an extraordinary place!

3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
9. Do you write every day? If you wrote today, share a sentence of what you’ve written!
22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?
🥰 Have fun!
Thank you so much for the ask!! :D (post, for the curious)
Favorite Fic I've Written
This feels a little like asking for my favorite child :D. Okay, a lot. For long stories, I think Matchr and that universe of tales. For short stories, definitely A Winter's Tale. And the entire Happily Ever After multiverse just lives in my heart.
I see a pattern here. :D
Tumblr media
(And, yes, each of those stories includes my real #1 theme of second chances at love, but who's counting?)
Do I Write Everyday
Yes! I write at least something everyday. I don't always hit my 1K word goal, and often go over, but I get something out. Here's a sentence I wrote yesterday for Five-by-Five:
“So how long have you two been together?”
Do I Know How My Stories Will End Before I Begin?
Almost always, in fact I usually write the ending first. The biggest exception is Dee. Up until the final edit the day before I posted it, it was going to end very differently. Overruled shifted mid-way through, as well, but we got to the final scene in the end. I blame Remus for each :D.

Shakespeare Weekend!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is time to say adieu to our Limited Editions Club adventure as we present the last volume, Shakespeare’s dramatic comedy, The Winter's Tale, the thirty-seventh volume of the thirty-seven volume The Comedies Histories & Tragedies of William Shakespeare, published by the Limited Editions Club (LEC) from 1939-1940. We will have, however, plenty of other material from our Shakespeare collection to present in the coming weeks. The Winter’s Tale was written and performed in 1611 but was not published until its inclusion in the First Folio of 1623. The play was heavily influenced by Robert Greene’s prose Pandosto: A Triumph of Time, although Shakespeare made several plot changes, most notably saving the life of Hermione.
British artist Albert Rutherston’s (1881-1953) water-color drawings illustrate The Winter’s Tale with colorfully simple narratives based on his set design for the Granville-Barker production of The Winter’s Tale in 1912. Rutherston studied art at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and experienced widespread fame upon completion with paintings on display at the British Museum, Tate Gallery, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has illustrated dozens of children’s books, designed stage decorations for ballets, and created posters for the London Underground. It is said his work does not stir the soul but soothes the eye as can be seen in the pleasant watercolors published here. The black outlines of the drawings were printed from line plates with actual watercolor applied through stencils at the atelier of Jean Saudé in Paris.
The volume was printed in an edition of 1950 copies at the Press of A. Colish. Each of the LEC volumes of Shakespeare’s works are illustrated by a different artist, but the unifying factor is that all volumes were designed by famed book and type designer Bruce Rogers and edited by the British theatre professional and Shakespeare specialist Herbert Farjeon. Our copy is number 1113, the number for long-standing LEC member Austin Fredric Lutter of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
