EDIT FOR LITTLE CULTURAL CONTEXT ON THE SECOND PICTURE cuz I saw someone asking on the reblog: This was actually came from a thought I had of how Armorless Union has so much similarities with Petrus (Penembak Misterius). On the 60′-90′s in Indonesia, back on the “New Order Era”, there was a known phenomenon called “Petrus” (Penembak misterius = mysterious shooter). Pretty much it was like Armorless Union: No one knows if it truly existed or not, or was it only a figure created to cause fearmongering. The story that circulated among the folks though dub them as Part of the intels working for the then-regime who was tasked to take down alleged criminals (mostly thugs [preman] who can be identified from the possession of tattoos on their body). No one knows who were these Petrus are, but there’s stories of thugs who usually hang around the market (dubbed as ‘preman pasar’) suddenly found dead, but nobody ever know who kill them. As the time goes, however, it becomes sort-of public secret that their category of ‘alleged criminals’ are... Well, I can’t explain much but let’s just say, It’s pretty much just like how Armorless Union category of ‘unruly knights’ as their target is rather ambiguous, in a sense of ‘how and who consider them as unruly, or as a threat’.

This is also why people starts to make jokes “Look out for any roaming meatball seller. If you can spot em having walkie-talkie, that means you’re fucked! He must be an intel looking for you!” While meatball seller (Tukang bakso) is the popular trope, but the joke itself goes to any (usually roaming) street food seller that just looks unusual. Mainly who are: too young, too fit, the food they sell taste shitty.
