If DC puts Cassie’s character (and possibly Kon and Bart’s too) in limbo because of Young Justice (2019)’s cancellation, I think I’ll cry. (BC we all know that Tim won’t be in character limbo bc of *~Bat stuff~*)

I mean my bets are that they’re planning on relaunching Teen Titans again (since that also got cancelled). And, they’ll just include the Core 4 in that, but honestly who knows???? Like, I think I read somewhere that they were gonna re-launch anything in 2021, but I could be wrong?? But, I just don’t wanna see the buildup with her character go to waste bc we got a lot last issue!! Like, honestly I could see this spinning off into her own series, but I doubt DC would do that bc the original Cassie Wondergirl series didn’t do very well,,,,

But, out of the pre-established characters, she’s the one I’m the most worried about bc at least Kon has the current Action Comics storyline, which I feel like is setting up for him to be featured in that book more?? And, Bart was just a big player in the last Flash storyline I believe?? (I could be wrong I don’t really read Flash, but I remember seeing stuff about it?) And, Tim has Batman AND Detective Comics to appear in, and he definitely will be in at least one after restoring his role as Robin. But, Cassie idk??? Unless, they find a way to include her in the Wonder Woman comics then she’s probs gonna be in main continuity limbo for awhile. I mean ik she’s in DCeased, but that’s an AU :((

I think about the fact that Mal and Karen went to High School with Conner and M’gann, before knowing their status as superheroes, a lot. Like, imagine this: You’re is like super excited to get this new job with the Team and like Dick or Kaldur (idk who was leader when he joined) is introducing you to everyone and BANG there’s your two friends from high school. And, not only that! One is a literal alien and the other is a half alien clone of Superman.

So, as you guys know I'm reading the first Magnus Chase book, and they mentioned how people who want to use magic (or at least the form that deals with runes and such) must first experience tremendous hardships and pain. And, this got me thinking. This concept also pretty much applies to those who can use and manipulate the mist, aka magic abilities as said by Hecate when explaining to Hazel how she could use the magic/mist, in the PJO/HoO books. However, this does excuse the children of Hecate because they are born with these abilities, such as Magnus can use magic do to his parentage. Let's take Hazel as our first example of this, since she shows these powers off the most. Where as Hearth experienced his pain through his relationship with his parents and their treatment of him, Hazel experiences her's in a similar way as it is more emotional pain rather than physical. However, Hazel experiences her pain physically as well. The emotional aspect of this is her relationship with her before she died. Her mother only really used her to get rich, and after that failed she blamed her for all her problems even though Hazel was only a child and had no control over the situation. After, this her mother aided Gaea in her awakening, just to be delayed by Hazel bringing down the cavern and killing everyone inside. Now, Post-underworld Hazel at the time of learning magic had to endure the fact that two of her close friends were in Tartarus, and this pain was shared with everyone on the Argo II. Now, I won't go more in depth with her experience in pain since it's shown in the books, but in short she endured much pain in order to use magic. But, Hazel's whole use of magic can be debated upon whether it's inherited or through learning. This is because Hecate does say that she has this ability due to her mother being able to, but we don't know much beyond that. But, since Pluto's domain does not cover control over the mist and the magic that goes along with it, I'm counting it as a learning thing. Your just kinda born with or without the potential to use the mist because people like Percy cannot use it. Our second example is Thalia Grace. Now, Thalia in general doesn't get much focus on outside of Titan's Curse. (Which I have a problem with but that's off topic.) Her use of the mist get even less focus than that. But, we do know she can manipulate the mist, but her skill level is unknown. Chiron taught her how to use presumably between the end of Sea of Monster and the beginning of Titan's Curse. Thalia's experience in pain is from loosing her little brother whom she felt responsible for at the age of two, her relationship with her alcoholic mother, and then what lead to her being almost killed and turned into a tree. So, our second mist/magic user in the series that was not in direct relation to Hecate has experience immense pain as well. And Lastly, the only other person to use this magic/mist without being related to Hecate is Marie Levesque. Marie didn't know that she actually harbored the ability to use magic, but as confirmed by Hecate she indeed did. The history of Marie and her life prior to Hazel's birth and her meeting Pluto is very minimal, so I'm going to just have to infer on somethings based on what we do know and what society was like back then. Marie seemed to have grown up poor, leading to her wanting to become extremely wealthy. She also probably had to have dealt with major racial discrimination since she was POC in the early 1900s. It's likely she also experience sexism of sorts as well. Now, as a fortune teller people tended to not trust her and believed her to be an evil witch and such. This obviously bothered her since she did blame everything on Hazel. Her pain was rooted in being left by the man she loves (Pluto), feeling like he betrayed her due to Hazel's curse, and also just the struggles and stress of trying to provide for a child and yourself on low income. Marie was able to use magic to summon Pluto himself, thus making her quit powerful. So, from what I've seen the concept of the experience of immense pain and the ability to use the forms of magic you are not born with the ability to use from Magnus Chase also applies to the non-Hecate relatives in PJO/HoO. Thus, this idea/concept probably applies to all non-inherited magic use/skills in this whole universe, despite pantheon differences.

All my favorite shows always get nominated and win!! :)) Me, an intellectual: I'm so happy that Great Comet was nominated 12 times! It deserves them all! But, however there were many snubs this year, like Bandstand, Anastasia, and Significant Other having either none or very few nominations. Which is strange because they have received much praise in some of the smaller and prestigious awards. As well as being critically acclaimed. The Tony's are extremely predictable, and are the opposite of the oscars seeing as they only recognize the big, popular shows with big names tied to them. Rather than some of the smaller shows that deserve much more main stream praise than what they get.

Ok short update on the progression of the fic: Ok, so I'm pretty much done with what you can consider the "first part/chapter of the fic," and goes for exactly what the request says. But, as someone who is having a great time writing this fic, I'll probably make a part/chapter 2 since I've sorta planned it??? But I also sort of wrote the fic in a way that's just like "oh you're setting up a universe and the characters in it and the way you write is just a very 'this is just the beginning' sort of way?" If that makes any sense what's so ever? But, I'll have someone proof read it for me, since I can't see obvious mistakes sometimes and I just want a little feed back on it, before I'm done because this is the first fic for this au I want it to be done well! If I do continue it for a part two and beyond it'll probably be if one I'm determined and motivated enough to do it and/or if I get request. Like, if I get requests then I'll 100% do more, but if not I'm not gonna promise anything. But, I'm like a good 90% sure that at the least there will be a part 2, but I won't promise anything since I can loose motivation and focus pretty easily. Also, I might just combined both parts into one, but that's honestly just up to how well of an ending place for part one that I can get too. Anyways, if you would like to proof read and give me feed back on it DM me! I'm not 100% done with it but I'm very close to getting to a good rap up place for at least the first part of it.
