Okay time to make my own post on The Situation and submit myself to the mortifying ideal of being known

Archive everything being removed. All of it. Archive the YouTube videos, the shows, everything. Even if it's a show you didn't watch and/or aren't particularly a fan of, if you're capable and willing to do so: archive it. Most of the talk i'm seeing is about Infinity Train and Mao Mao- but those are just one in a handful of over 40 shows. Mostly animation- but there's some live action in there as well, afaik. Make sure it doesn't vanish for years and years.

hi cielo!!! I adore coin toss (as you know LOL) and I was wondering if you had a playlist for it, or if there are any songs/pieces you associate with the story? 👀 I'd love to listen if so!!

omg. mao. do i ever have a playlist for it. it's THREE HOURS LONG LMAO. and i'm very meticulous ab my playlists; i want them all to flow, tell a story, need the genres of songs to be similar, the same, or at least transition into each other well enough so it doesn't feel jarring to my ear lol.

i will not bore you with the whole thing. but it is called "downfall" and it's mostly...grunge/punk? some more atmospheric stuff. it follows the arc of coin toss in my mind? i will give you the last few songs (in the correct order) that i wrote the last part of coin toss to religiously:

Putting The Dog To Sleep by The Antlers, I Bet on Losing Dogs by Mitski, Dog Teeth by Nicole Dollanganger, Shallows by Daughter, Sleep Awake by Mother Mother, All I Wanted by Paramore (heavy on this one), I Want You by Mitski (heavy on this one too), goodbye by Billie Eilish

i also came up with the concept to Oh Ana by Mother Mother so i heavily associate it with that song. i associate Sleep Awake with Aizawa as well as the song Hot Faced by Margaux, both of which are somewhere on the playlist.

i go crazy with playlists for fics. i feel like if i wrote Coin Toss today this playlist would look much different, but as it stands, thats what it is!!

For what it's lacking in animation quality, I still think Ningen Fushin makes up for it with by placing focus on developing and exploring each character.

Also, I don't believe I ever stated how much a nice little bop the ED is.

Part of my optimism about the cancelled shows coming back has to do with Community. Throughout the show, the writers have not subtlety hinted about a movie by having one of the main characters, Abed, constantly say “six seasons and a movie”. But after Donald Glover left, Community started to drop in ratings and was cancelled twice I think. But after constant perseverance, we were able to get the “six seasons” but never the “and a movie.”

But in 2020, Netflix added Community to their catalog and the hype surrounding the show came back and now, after eight years

We’re finally getting “and a movie.”

This is why I’m going to be an optimist about this. This is why I still believe that Inside Job, Infinity Train, Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart, Dead End Paranormal Park, and the other cancelled shows can come back. All it takes is just hype and an active fanbase.

Ch204, Spoilers (part 1)

I've got the untranslated chapter (part 1) below the cut.

Despite the Halloween cover art, we are still on assignment.

The staff is talking about how Theo is next, as top student in the Pomeranian class.

We have confirmation that Layla/Al is Vega (Collie at the orphanage), while Doll is Canopus (Corgi at the orphanage). I know that was most likely the case, but I was hoping their rooms at Sphere Music Hall had been switched. However, Doll definitely goes with the bare minimum bedroom that's shown for Canopus, and Layla/Al definitely goes with the lavish bedroom shown for Vega. I accept and make peace with this information.

I wish I knew what else the staff was saying. But then they definitely talk about the blood supply, maybe specifically about Canopus, since they have Doll there, who is in need of a blood transfusion.

Now Snake and Finny must know for sure that this is a blood collection facility, too, though they already know they have to shut the place down for killing kids and saving their bodies and organs.

Idk whether they need to use the centrifuge, or if they are simply showing it to us again. About the only reason I can see for them using the centrifuge now is if they need to separate the plasma from the blood cells. If so, and they are actually transfusing just plasma, then it would finally make sense to only use AB/Sirius for real Ciel.

I have no idea what the kids are saying, though Finny might be mentioning his backstory again.

But Theo is really letting it sink in what is about to happen to him... if he can't stop it.

Is he still wallowing in fear, or is he planning something?

Ever since we found out last month that Theo would be next, I've been expecting him to use himself as bait, sort of, and for the others to somehow sneak into the carriage when he's taken away. A bit like how our earl and Sebastian/Rathbone set up for Ran-Mao to dress as our earl and be used as bait when Snake's snake attacked again (murders arc). He could pretend like he has no idea what's about to happen and hope the others can save him. Risky....

Best OP and ED Songs of Winter 2024

I had 7 on my list for this season but I was originally going to cut it down to 4 because brevity is the soul of not getting murdered by K-Pop stans, but then Fen shared one in Discord that happened to be on my original list so I decided, fuck it. Seven it is.
