Abortion is a very basic definition that y'all don't seem to get. "the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus" miscarriages are one form of abortion they're literally called spontaneous abortion. The typical first step for ectopic pregnancy treatment is an abortion using methotrexate. Abortion isn't some super special baby murder technique, its anything done to terminate the pregnancy that doesn't end in happy baby.

I’m so sick of the abortion debate honestly. There’s no more accountability for murderers—I mean “mothers.”

This has got to be the dumbest generation ever. Era. Whatever you wanna call it. In this essay I will— jk. But am I? I might turn this into one if I really feel like it.

“My body, my choice.” Argument is complete garbage. Because the whole argument crumbles to shreds as soon as they fall into the outcome of bringing another body into the equation.

I think they forget to realize that human rights apply also to human fetuses that grow inside women. And we have science to thank for reminding us that human life begins upon conception.

So they can deny alllll they want, saying “it’s not a baby, it’s a fetus” “it’s a clump of cells” “it doesn’t have consciousness” “it’s not developed enough so therefore it doesn’t hurt the fetus”

Alllll these points are pure BS when the facts point to a fetus being alive and a LIFE worthy of finishing its development. And this means we have to advocate for these ones who can’t speak or choose life for themselves.

Human rights don’t stop at the mother who holds the baby in her womb. Human rights are spread across all sectors and are meant to be EQUAL, even among fetuses that have just been conceived.

Because every fetus is human DNA that eventually grows into a uniquely designed person. So no, the mothers choice is not more important than that baby’s choice. They are both equal.

And before you say “but the mother is the one who has to live with the consequences, while the baby isn’t even born yet.” Does that mean the baby’s human rights don’t apply until birth?

Humans rights can’t vary upon the location of the human (womb or birthed), the stage of development of the human (infant or adult), or the quality of life they have (able vs disabled) or else I’m afraid we’d be going down a slippery slope by starting this rhetoric.

The baby didn’t ask to be created. This was the result/outcome of a choice made by its mother and biological father. Babies shouldn’t have to suffer the consequences of their mothers/fathers terrible decision making process.

If we really want to get into the “my body, my choice,” argument, let’s start here: the mom gets to choose 1) if she is having sex or not (in most cases), 2) who she is having sex with, no?

[obviously I’m not referring to rape/incest cases, in which I would leave these cases in a completely separate circumstance, but argue that I still don’t think abortion is the right option.]

So on that note, why is it all of a sudden a phenomenon for pro-choice individuals to drop all accountability on mothers and give them a free pass to murder if they absolutely do have a choice?

A mothers third option, whether to keep the baby or not, is essentially deciding whether she’s going to be a murderer, violate a baby’s human right, and lose her motherhood, or keep the child.

So in conclusion, my body my choice is a fair argument, so long as you actually apply that to the baby as well. Because if a mother can’t advocate for her own baby, then who will?

In conclusion, just think about what you’re really choosing when you decide to sacrifice your baby because of an irrational decision you made. Abortions really are murder.

Sylvia Moore, 18 (USA 1986)

18-year-old Sylvia Moore underwent an abortion on December 31, 1986. Thanks to the extreme malpractice of abortionist Arnold Bickham, she wouldn’t live to see the new year.

Sylvia was in severe pain after the abortion, but instead of finding the problem, Bickham just repeatedly injected the teenage girl with Demerol even though she was bleeding, weak, and unable to walk. When Sylvia tried to get to her feet, she collapsed.

Bickham kept calling Sylvia "lazy," plunked her in a wheelchair, and physically ejected her from his Chicago abortion facility. Sylvia's mother was horrified. She got her daughter into the car and tried to drive her to the hospital since Bickham hadn’t even called an ambulance, but by the time the car made it to the ER, Sylvia had no detectable blood pressure and no heartbeat.

An emergency hysterectomy revealed a shocking amount of malpractice. Sylvia had a 6.5 cm laceration in her uterus with a plastic tool embedded inside. Bickham had somehow left the large piece of plastic inside of Sylvia during the abortion. Another bleeding laceration was found in her vagina, which was 2.2 cm long. Doctors at the hospital were unable to save Sylvia’s life because of the extent of her injuries. She died painfully of internal bleeding on the same day as the abortion.

When questioned on his horrific treatment of Sylvia, Bickham claimed that he hadn’t noticed anything was even wrong with her (despite the fact that she couldn’t walk, was bleeding internally and had a piece of plastic lodged in one of her organs). He claimed that Sylvia died because the hospital perforated an artery and left blood in the chest cavity, but Sylvia’s autopsy proved his claims false. In fact, the chest cavities were “free of fluid and adhesions" according to the coroner.

The postmortum report stated that "The circumstances of injury, review of the Medical records, the findings at autopsy examination, and subsequent investigation of the circumstances of the case provide evidence of gross negligence and abandonment on the part of the original treating physician. In consideration of the above, the manner of death is determined to be Homicide."

Sylvia’s family sued for her homicide. The lawsuit noted that the abortionist failed to perform an ultrasound and failed to have adequate staff or equipment. Bickham's license was revoked by Illinois in October of 1988 due to Sylvia's death. Despite the autopsy findings, he was not charged with the homicide of Sylvia Moore. He was, however, arrested in September of 1989 for practicing medicine without license, and sentenced to 30 months probation and 2,600 hours of community service in lieu of 6 months jail, in addition to a $10,000 fine. He accumulated a long record of malpractice, including but not limited to performing “abortions” on clients who were not pregnant and sometimes not fully under anesthesia.

Eventually Bickham retired from the abortion business, but someone made the questionable decision to hire him as a public school administrator. Nobody guilty of the homicide of a teenage girl has any business overseeing the welfare or education of children.

Other Americans killed by legal abortion in 1986 include Christella Marie Forte, Luz Maria Rodriguez, Janyth Caldwell, Laniece Dorsey, Magnolia Thomas, Gail Elaine Flowers Wright, Gloria Aponte, Carol Cunningham, Claudia Caventou, Dorothy Bryant, Liliana Cortez, Donna Heim, Jacqueline Reynolds, Michelle Madden and Rosael Rodriguez-Rosado.

One thing that really illustrates how morally confused we have become, especially in regards to abortion, is how a woman can have an abortion and think it is fine and there is no need to grieve the loss as it is a “clump of cells”, and then lose a wanted pregnancy to miscarriage and acknowledge the lost baby as a human being and grieve the loss, even naming them or putting up a gravestone.

I’m sorry, what?? How does that make sense?

I have seen this happen first hand in my own family, and no, she doesn’t recognise how incoherent it is and is still pro abortion.

“An Unwanted LIFE”

There were no balloons announcing "It's a boy!" No sounds of laughter, no tears of joy.

No little onesies marked zero to three, no warm blankets soft and fluffy...It was a little past five when a little boy was born alive, a botched abortion, an unwanted life. Before the doctor could do what he needed to do, the little guy had pushed his way through. About the same time his mother came to, with me still holding the baby, the doctor nudged me from the room. We walked down the hall, far enough from there. With me muzzling his cries so she wouldn't hear. The doctor said, "Put him in here," as he held out a tub. So I placed him inside, still covered in blood.....Then I listened to the doctor tell her it all went as planned. Then I confirmed it with a smile and a pat on her hand. It was after seven when she left to go home. not knowing her baby was alive and alone. With medical attention, the baby would thrive...but protected by new law, we just left him to die. With the lid on the bin, we could still hear his cries as we closed the door and turned out the lights. We went home like we always did. But. if I could go back, he wouldn't be dead. And now, memories of him fill me with regret. His little face forever stuck in my head. How I found him the very next day, his body once pink, now a shocking blue-gray. He looked so helpless in that cold plastic bed. His body covered in dried blood, his hair matted to his head. What haunts me the most, was seeing him naked. He was given nothing, not even a blanket. His eyes wide open, seemed to stare right through me. Which left me feeling cold and terribly empty. The fear on his face as he struggled to breathe, the doctor and I both pretended not to see. I'm not talking about a woman's choice, I'm talking about a little infant who didn't have a voice. I'm not talking about a woman's right, but a tiny human being, a valuable life. I'm talking about an infant, not quite a day old, with big round eyes, and his mother's nose. With ten little fingers and ten perfect toes. With a head full of hair that curled around his ears, and chubby little cheeks wet with tears. He was never given a name. He was never measured or weighed. He died sometime in the night, scared and alone and too weak to fight. This happens more often then they want you to know, and former employees will tell you it's so. If this doesn't bother you, and you think it's okay then keep doing what you've been doing, and look the other way, I just hope I made you see it's not a woman's body, its a completely separate being. But, if you think life is more valuable than choice, then stand up and fight! Lift up your voice! Innocent blood has now covered this land, leaving us all with red-stained hands.
