USUAL HAIR STYLE : When long — messy, unkempt until told otherwise. A large braid would encompass a portion of her hair, and the other wild and free. Sometimes in a large, messy bun when she’s working, or doing anything out of battle. Short — has now a tendency to keep it up to date with oils and minerals, making sure her hair is looking better than before. She would not have it in a braid, with the exception of one on her side or most of her hair swept away from her face.

USUAL FACE LOOK : Thick painted eye-makeup, whether blue (for her tribe) or red (for herself), lips tinted red. Besides that, she has no other make up on her whatsoever. It is rare to see her without her tribal paint unless she’s at home, relaxing.

Q1 : If you could write your character your way in their own movie, what would it be called, what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about?

—The Lost Crucible, it would be filmed like a documentary, so to speak, switching from third POV [narrator] to first POV [dumb catgirl] that would be finding out about her tribe, and the trial young warriors go through.

Q2 : What would their soundtrack/score sound like?

— Songs that remind you of a time when you’re one in nature; drums that give you that itch to move and dance to the beat, to appease the old and new gods, whatever you believe in. It would be of her home — where the village barely touches the heavens itself.

Q3 : Why did you start writing this character?

— I did it in a way to sort of make a new oc from an old oc, so to speak. The OG version, as you could call it, is vastly different and I kept making lots of jokes with her when I name changed and eventually she just started to slowly build up.

Q4 : What first attracted you to this character?

— It’s a mixture of self insert, so finding a way to incorporate stuff into my own character is what sort of ... made her my lovable daughter. She’s not all self-insert, her attitude, her anger, her sorrow, her accomplishments and failures and imagines on how she would deal with X and Y is just absolutely fascinating for me and having a fierce miqo’te hailing from the snowy mountain tops of Abalathia’s Spine who’s tiny with a big axe is my aesthetic okay.

Q5 : Describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse.

— Her desire to keep things quiet until the last second—mostly when it’s about her. Anything related to her life, her health, her problems, she’d rather deal with them alone. Even if there’s been major character improvement, there are some things she does not feel comfortable sharing, or letting people in. Her desire for more power so she can finally be at peace.

Q6 : What do you have in common with your muse?

— We are both stubborn bitches. However, she deals with things far better than I ever could, as I am baby. Similar in arrogance, and in anger — to a point.

Q7 : How does your muse feel about you?

— She’d fucking kick my ass. I think she would appreciate me, and not be as bully as with others — not because I am her mun, but more so as I think we’d clash a lot but get along quite well, too.

Q8 : What characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ?

— I, unfortunately haven’t had a lot of interactions with Li trying to be nice, or fight somebody but— people like her, who are broken yet continue on. Who carry a mantle too big to carry and they do it anyways. Fighters that only know how to fight, when she eventually wants peace, but that will never leave her soul. People so nice that it makes her want to protect them; to view the world the way they see it. Warriors, even if they are not from the same village, are all brethren to one another and the desire to meet and see how they live out their lives — just a handful of stuff in my head I’d like to see.

That and a bar fight, she really is the one who would start a bar fight drunk or angry okay. Also nobles. She sort of hates them cause of her mom but then eventually doesn’t and it’s awkward asf.

Q9 : What gives you inspiration to write your muse ?

—Vikings, Game of Thrones aesthetics of the Dothraki tribe, anything tribal honestly. The existential dread that is Nier: Automata, some Fire Emblem aesthetics, a lot of stuff honestly.

Q10 : How long did this take you to complete ?

— I STARTED YESTERDAY. I finished late today cause my last two braincells hate everything

in all my years on tumblr, this is still one of my favorite gifs of tay in existence, so i shall use it now on my mega ooc appreciation post.

i am still on hiatus — it has been a ROUGH 36 hours my dudes — but i did want to drop in and post some ic/ooc appreciation things while this week is still here because i am all in the business of sharing the love. it’s one of the many reasons i absolutely adore this group. this group has always been about love, for me, and would probably be the singular word i’d use to describe my experience here.

i joined this lovely bunch back in july, i do believe? i had actually just finished up writing and self-publishing my third book which wound up being a behemoth (seriously it was a lot) and while i was absolutely and completely braindead when it came to writing, i still wanted to write. i’m a writer. that’s who i am and that’s who i’ll always be. i wanted something a lot more low-stakes, kind of go-with-the-flow, no real pressure and more collaborative than the isolating fun of novel-writing, so i turned back to roleplay. hollywood rps have always been my absolute favorites in the rpc for whatever reason; i have such fond memories in hollywood groups and it’s a fun and creative way for me to just project the love i have for my faves. after a few experiences in groups during late 2017 and early 2018 i was pretty sure that i was done with roleplay. it just wasn’t the same for me, no matter where i went. priorities had shifted and it was no longer about writing because you loved to write. but, me being ever the optimist, i decided to dive back into the tags and see what was still around or had recently popped up. i found this group and i saw that they had just had a taylor swift removed from the group, and hi hello nice to meet you i am taylor swift trash no. 1!!!, i felt like it was all Meant To Be or something like that (plus, she was taken in every other group and that’s who i really wanted to put a hand at writing). so i put in an app for her, got accepted, and i have been plaguing your dashes ever since :~))

in the four-ish months that i have been here, so much has happened in my life. i started my (outrageously stressful) junior year of college, i lost my grandma, i went to go see queen swift in atlanta and meet my baby princess camila, i have had major friend complications and doubts about my career track and i have had just really boring, empty days where everything was going seemingly okay. this group has been there for me through every high, low, and in between. this group has been my escape to run to when i’m stressed or up late at night and can’t sleep or just really looking to be social or want to write something. this group has been so welcoming, warm, and fun; i have had the opportunity to explore my character any which way that i please and form awesome plots with people, and even more awesome friendships ooc. some of you send really, really kind things my way which, fyi, i’m super grateful for and have probably cried over because this was the first time i not only felt welcomed in a group as taylor, but felt welcomed in a group as me. i am so grateful that i get to call this place my internet home and there is absolutely nowhere else i would rather be spending my free time writing. i stand by what i say: this is the best group in the tags, hands down. you could not ask for a more inclusive, diverse, welcoming, creative playground to spend your time on. to all the lovely admins over on main @hollywoodfamerp thank you for doing the heavy lifting and giving us a safe and warm place that we can call home. the work you do never goes unnoticed. you are appreciated and you are so, so loved. ♡

😡Worst role play-related encounter and what advice you would give to others to avoid similar situations?

Ok. So something I still feel guilty about is hurting some irl feelings (years ago!) when everyone got a little too emotionally invested. I assume the party involved was younger and like many rp’d to be part of a community. They got attached to Orochi who discarded them because A) he’s Orochimaru and B) I might have had some primal negative reaction to people trying to know me. I’m sure it really upset them & still hope they are ok.

After school special: ALWAYS be aware of the line between muse & mun. ALWAYS try to understand people might be younger or not understand something. If you’re ever not sure it is never “immersion-breaking” to ask after people OOC so everyone is on the same page. A lot of people project themselves through their character & its not exactly healthy. There was a point in my life I had no social support except RP & it was not a good thing!

✌ : Fondest role-play memory, between muses?

I met one of my best friends way back in the 2007 chat-room days. She had a cat girl OC named Shadow. That’s how 2007. But we’ve been through a lot together but eventually her character married some character from an entirely different fandom (True Blood?) & Orochimaru became her weird (ex-husband) patronly figure?? And just their smart ass dynamic and him having to interact with other foreign characters was really fun.

Also my beloved Twitter Kabuto had married a med nin OC employed by Oro to assist. Eventually there was an RP baby & letting Orochimaru hold it was like THE cutest shit I have ever written.

✍ : Offer 3-5 tips on how to get other role players started on interacting with your muse.

Ask him questions. Orochimaru loves answering questions. Its less fun knowing all of this shit if nobody asks him anything.

Be respectful. Or not respectful depending on how you want shit to go down. My Orochi isn’t quick to anger but he doesn’t necessarily have to be angry to stab you.

Memes bro. I actually don’t write much anymore as I’m sure you noticed my blog has become snakes & silliness. But if I can answer asks in short I surely will.

✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?

Snakes? I’m a sucker for a good villain, is what. Orochimaru was just my kind of creepy yet elegant shit. I seem to be drawn to villains and anti-heroes that look inhuman but behave very humanly and are terrible at acknowledging it. Give me those depressed, jilted, mentally ill villains that have perfectly valid reasons for being the way they are and just mess them up.

☯ : Greatest challenge to writing your character?

Its been so long its hard to say. I think perhaps that I feel sometimes I don’t write him EVIL enough. Like my Orochimaru is sort of benign amongst other Orochi writers. I like to play up his backwards benevolence and his intelligence but I don’t like to fight with him. Other muses usually pick up on this & nobody has forced his hand or questioned him. Dat charisma.

▲ : What sort of information do you like to see on someone’s role play page that helps you determine whether or not you would want to write with them?

I mean I like an about page for OCs def. I always peek at blogs that interact with me. I don’t interact with people that seem like they’re super serious and exclusive because I just. I’m a filthy casual at everything in life.

▼ : Are there popular head canons for your character that you disagree with? Why?

I don’t conform to the hyper sexualized, everything-is-debauchery take on Orochimaru. His true love is information and its not even a healthy relationship.

♫ : Are there parts of your own personality that you reflect onto your character? How do they work?

Ohohoho boy. As I mentioned I spent a couple years living through Orochimaru and they weren’t good years. Denying people access to me on the grounds of that being ridiculous was definitely the worst of it. I still have a hard time with it myself. On a lighter note thinking logically & this dark sense of humor work with him flawlessly.

❤ : What are some role-plays that you have done/are doing that you particularly enjoy and wish to share with your followers?

When I first joined tumblr I was in some RP groups. One was a modern AU where a veteran Orochi settled down after a lifetime of fieldwork to manage the town’s library. One thread Orochimaru hurt his damn self & an only recently acquainted Kabuto helped him despite snake stubbornness. It was cute, man.

Also did a thread in a different group with a Gaara wherein Orochimaru espionage’d around in the form of a horned viper. Shenanigans ensued.

⌘ : Where do you get some of your inspirations for plots/head canons? Offer an example, if possible.

Huehuehue. Studies and documentaries in psychology and science give me ideas sometimes. Asylum horror movies also. Orochimaru’s various mental illnesses are definitely there. The ‘Alligator heart shunt’ experiment had just been laying around in one of my biology labs. Morgues. I’m big on morgues.

ღ : What sorts of plots/characters/scenes do you have the most difficulty writing, and why?

Writing fast paced action is always difficult because you have to depend on your partner so much. Those are best done in chat rooms or short format rp’s and I write...like I write a lot of stuff guys. I’m a descriptive asshole.

Also sometime different muses approach him in ways I have a hard time justifying him not like. you know. Killing them?? I don’t want to be a bitch but at the same time Orochimaru has no time for you??

MAGICAL ANONS! You may have seen them in other RPs, you may not have. For those of us and you who don’t know what they are, the concept is simple. A magic anon is, as expressed in the name, an anonymous message that basically magicks your character(s) to become or experience whatever is specified in the anon.

The format of magic anons, or m!as, is as such:

Title: description of the effect

For example,

Sensitivity: All of the muse is their new erogenous zone, and clothing does not. help this. for the next (anon decides time limit)

This m!a basically makes your character sexually sensitive to every touch, regardless of location and it would last for however long the anon casts the spell for.

What’s even more fun about m!as is that they stack for multiple combinations of fun effects. Say you get the above Sensitivity anon, and while that is still in effect, your muse gets hit with something like this:

Chained up: For 10 hours, your muse will find themselves bound by chains. They can either have a savior or a torturer.

So, not only is your character extra-sensitive to everything but they also find no relief because they are chained up and unable to touch themselves. Makes for an interesting few hours, don’t you think?

Starters: You are welcome to do more than one per 24 hours because of the event, but please try to limit it to four hours between muses. And as always PLEASE DO NOT POST A STARTER OVER AN EMPTY ONES IN THE TAG!! THIS IS SOMETHING WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH!! If you are not participating in this but would still like to post a starter, then please simply specify in your tags that the starter is ‘NON M!A’.

This event will start NOW and run through until 11:59 Monday night, to give everyone enough time to participate. As always, threads are allowed to continue until their completions, and we ARE NOT asking that regular threads be stopped for this mini-event. Just please make sure that you are not sending any more magic anons after 11:59 Monday!

For those of you that have chosen to turn off your anons, you are of course welcome to either turn them back on for this, or simply still leave them off. This, as any other kind of anon, is AT YOUR OWN RISK! You do not have an answer every anon that comes into your inbox, only the ones that you are comfortable with. And we would like to state to that this is a GREAT opportunity to interact outside of your norm, so PLEASE keep that in mind and meet some new muses!

Skin: Take it off! Muse’s clothes have gone missing for any duration of the anon’s choosing up to one week!

Amnesia: Muse forgets everything about themselves, from their name to what they ate for breakfast.

Fear: Anon gets to name something, and muse will have an extremely debilitating phobia of it for one week. Bonus points if it’s something ridiculous.

Fruit: My muse finds a fruit in their kitchen. It looks ordinary enough so my muse decides to eat it. Once they bite into it, they see hallucinations on a mass scale.

Command: Muse has to take commands by the next _______ people in their ask (Anon specifies)

Gemini: Muse will split into two different versions of themself for ___

Vive le Vibe: A remote vibrator is now in muse and another muse (mun’s choice) has the remote. Because of magic shenanigans, the muse will never get numb or dehydrated from the vibrator! The remote has five settings, ‘off’, ‘low’, ‘med’, ‘hi’, and ‘MAX’ in big, red lettering; ‘MAX’ can cause the muse to cum many times in a row if it’s kept on that setting for too long. (If this one’s picked, don’t forget to contact the lucky muse’s mun!)

In Heat: Someone’s a little bit *needy*. Actually, you’re so overcome with lust that you really, really need something to happen. Like, right now. And you’ll whine pitifully until you get it.

Sensitivity: Muse’s entire body is an erogenous zone that rises and drops in sensitivity randomly. Every half hour or so, go to random.org and generate a number between 1 and 10 to determine how sensitive their body’ll be; 10 is creaming themselves in a minute or so from clothing or wind brushing their skin (insanely sensitive) and 1 is normal sensitivity (the spell would basically be inert at 1). (Might want to set a timer for this one!)

Dinner for One: Whenever each muse talks to another that they know, by name, face, voice or whatever else, they’ll get the feeling of being vigorously eaten out/given a blowjob as long as they’re talking to the other. In addition, the crotch of any muse with this spell won’t get numb from the feeling or from cumming - if anything, it’ll only get more intense, and no matter how Skin: Take it off! Muse’s clothes have gone missing for any duration of the anon’s choosing up to one week!your muse’s body is structured it’ll be possible to cum multiple times in a row from this spell! Have fun struggling with your composure~!

Sex Change: Muse turns into the opposite sex for a specified amount of time.

Chaos: It’s a mad house! A mad house I say! Muse’s personality gets flipped backwards for three days. The timid turn mighty, the charismatic turn into downers, and straight characters get to kiss a girl/boy and like it.

Eargasm: Muse becomes aroused to the point of orgasm by the sound of other people’s voices; the deeper the voice, the faster their arousal builds. Their own voice has no effect on them, and while recordings have some effect, it’s not as pronounced as voices heard in person! While under this spell, the muse can only orgasm from other people’s voices–other forms of stimulation can take them to the brink, but no further, and will probably only leave them very frustrated.

Namegasm: Muse will have an intense, spontaneous orgasm whenever they recognize their name or any nickname they identify with! Hearing it certainly helps, but if they successfully read it, lip-read it or feel it in braille, morse-code, etc. the effect will trigger immediately after they recognize the phrase as their name or one of their nicknames.

Of Love and Stuffing: Muse starts carrying around a plushy, becoming extremely attached to it. Anon may specify what, or else it is Muse’s most loved person, thing, or animal.

Leather Panties and Stockings: Muse is forced to dress up in a very sexual manner for a specified amount of time, becoming extremely horny as a result.

Pure: Sex? What’s that? Muse suddenly has the mentality of a three year old, and can’t understand anything ‘adult’. Anon decides the duration.

Night: A wishing star! Anon gets to make a wish and muse has to accommodate it.

Mess: Muse is now filthy and needs someone to help them clean off. You dirty boy you!

Mild: Super spicy! Muse feels like their mouth is on fire and only kisses make it stop. Anon decides how long it lasts.

Book: Quiet in the library! Muse is now stuck inside a storybook, and what happens is decided by the askbox. Lasts until the story finishes.

Amortentia: Muse is in love with a character of Anon’s choosing.
