Some poison tastes like honey, dripping with saccharine, and others taste bitter, like guilt and grief. But what if the poison tasted nothing when sampled? What if its course of eradicating your core was measured and deliberate? Your superficial smile hides the anarchy inside you; your kind hands closed around your lips to muffle the yelps, your compassionate heart wrapped by the arteries and veins through which It flows: soundlessly and peaceably. You can’t seem to ferret out the cradle of this lingering sadness. Is it wrapped by barbed wire or your rib cages? But it gives you love and hope above all. It makes you assess the minutiae of life and teaches you to live in the moment. So, if death was destined to be, then why don’t you stay a little longer and let me taste the human flavour of your poison?

Ninth week of university

Although I *technically* completed the goals I set last week, they weren't done to the standard I intended... Apart from the candle - the candle is fixed, rejoice!

I also went to campus when I didn't need to (on a Friday?!) and got some work done so I wasn't worrying about it the whole weekend :)

In light of this (and a slight self-doubt episode this weekend), another experiment is in hand: I'm not setting any tasks for myself at all this week (bar the mandatory). You see, each Sunday, I meticulously plan each day with many tasks I wish to complete and when (stuff like reading, writing, even these Tumblr posts); but I never follow the schedule. They always get put off 'til tomorrow, and the next day, and the next... So what if I just didn't have any expectations of myself?

I noted earlier about how it's a downward spiral of a conversation between my past self and present self (that I've experienced for years). I know past Kim has good intentions, but present Kim has too much power: it's too easy to slide some optional task over to a later date.

So, instead, next week I'm going to write down what I accomplish without any prompting, and see how my productivity differs.

Here's hoping.
