Steve avoided video games in the common room as a rule. It wasn't that he didn't like video games, of course--he enjoyed a story-driven single player game, and he was quite fond of the indie games that Sam had suggested when he saw that 'Nintendo (Switch???)' was written on his list. Something about team games, though, it was... difficult. He just couldn't.

"Probably because you're a sore loser," Clint mused in response to Steve's furiously roared 'did you just blue shell me?!'

"I am not a sore loser," Steve spat, turning to glare at him.

"You are," Clint said simply as Steve's King Boo rolled in at a perfectly respectable seventh place. "Tony, back me up."

"Don't," Steve barked as Tony opened his mouth. "I am not. Leave me alone."

"You don't like to lose. It's what makes you such a good team leader, sweetheart," Tony soothed, wrapping his arms around his neck and smacking a loud, wet kiss to his cheek.

"Well," Steve grumped, crossing his arms over his chest. "I guess so."

"Yeah, it's why you kept fighting on a broken leg in the last battle," Clint added, in a way he probably thought was helpful.

Tony's arms clamped tighter around him, and Steve let out a faint 'Gck!' as it choked him, hands flying up helplessly to grab his wrists. "You said it was just a sprain," he growled.

"Oh, well, bye," Clint said, dropping his controller and bolting from the room, and Steve could only watch miserably as he disappeared into the elevator, leaving him with Tony, who still had his arms tight around his throat.

this is a cop out but Hunger by Ross Copperman always reminds me of Delena because it was the song that played at their final dance

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

(1) Will Herondale, The Infernal Devices: i have a thing for damaged boys. a friend of mine called them my “broken boys” and you could almost completely accurately guess who my favourite character in any given series was based on which male character had the most trauma. i specifically liked Will because i loved his dynamic with Jem; and how despite everything else that was going on and how desperately he needed to have no ties to anybody - he let Jem in because he knew that more than his need to keep away, Jem needed someone to stay. 

(2) Andrew Minyard, All For The Game: i’ll be very honest this entire series sat wrong with me for multiple reasons but i will fight to the death for Andrew Minyard i sat through this whole trilogy just for this stupid short asshole and his uncontrollable rage issues. he won my heart from the start and i just dealt with everyone else for him (im also not rly a part of this fandom anymore but im trying to talk about stuff i don’t generally talk about so here you go)

(3) Noah Elliot Simon Shaw, The Mara Dyer Trilogy: british, raven haired, blue eyes, and broken. the love that i cultivated for Noah was special its been an extremely long time since i had a love that pure and untouched for a character. 

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

abusers to lovers. i hate the trope of making someone fall in love with your bully. you can grow past that hate and become friends, but the idea that someone bullies you because they have feelings for you and that should excuse the trauma they inflict onto you is preposterous 

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

star wars. i can’t think of anything else in the moment but definitely star wars. im also sort of in the dc fandom

3 + tony?

3. “In my defense, you left me alone for a whole day.” So we’re gonna have some superfamily with little toddler!Peter here bc uh i want to write it and it works perfectly

Steve steps out of the elevator onto their floor and immediately pauses. It’s quiet- too quiet. He moves slowly, hand ready for his shield as he walks deeper into the hall leading to their living rooms when he hears a giggle that immediately puts his fears to rest. Although the way it’s quickly hushed does raise a whole new set of suspicions.

“Hmmm.” Steve raises his voice as he walks towards the source of the sound. “It seems that no one’s home. I wonder where they could be.”

Another set of giggles bursts forth and Steve has to stifle his own laugh as he continues.

“I just don’t know....Maybe they went out? I guess I’m all alone in here in the tower. All alone, maybe I should just go out if no one’s here.”

“Someone’s here!” A high voice calls out from the kitchen. “Don’t leave!”

Steve rushes into the kitchen to grab his son from where he sat giggling on his high wooden stool by the table into his arms. Peter erupts into laughter as Steve spins him around taking in the sight of Tony standing by the kitchen covered in mess, with fresh baked cookies cooling in the one clean space on the counter. And considering how spacious their kitchen was that was saying something. 

“We baked cookies for you! And I helped and rolled the cookie dough all by myself.” Peter tells his father proudly. 

“And ate some of it by yourself as well,” Tony says walking over to kiss his husband on the cheek. “Welcome home, Steve.”

“So all the rest of this is your doing.” Steve says gesturing to the mess splattered over the counters and- walls? how did that happen? 

“In my defence, you left us alone for a whole day.” Tony answers as Peter tries to grab a cookie to present to Steve.  “And Peter really wanted to bake cookies.”

Peter finally manages to snatch one, showing Steve the markings on it. 

“We used special captain america cookie cutters.” Peter informs him. “They’re special you cookies.”

Steve takes it and admires it before taking a wary bite. And another one.

“Thanks for my special me cookies, Pete.”
