Hello! I’m participating in @ficwritersforreproductiverights to help raise money for organizations that protect reproductive rights! Send me a screenshot of your donation (AFTER removing sensitive personal info) and tell me which idea you would like to see me write! Which ever option has the most votes after Aug 7th will be the one I will do.
The voting options consist of one Ace Attorney oneshot idea, one Julie and The Phantoms oneshot idea, and three multichap ideas for a crossover between the two fandoms! Here are all the options:
1. Edgeworth Goes to Walmart (GONE WRONG!)
Yeah, that’s it. Crack taken seriously, background Narumitsu. I don’t have much else to say.
2. Carlos and Reggie Fantasy AU
Carlos and Reggie being brothers in a fantasy setting! Very fluffy, includes some fun worldbuilding and magic if that’s your thing! Might end up using this setting for something later...
3. Flynn Taylor: Ace Attorney
Rookie defense lawyer, Flynn Taylor meets three ghosts from the old band Sunset Curve that only she can see. With their help on investigations and in the courtroom, can Flynn figure out the mystery of the boy’s death while defending her innocent clients from demon prosecutor and old friend, Julie Molina?
JATP in the AA setting! Flynn as the protag, the sunset curve boys as her co-counsel, and Julie as the rival prosecutor! Will include Julie x Flynn, and probably some other gay ships.
4. Trucy and The Phantoms
After the death of her mother, Trucy has been unable to play or sing. But after looking through some of her mother’s things, three ghosts appear, one looking shockingly similar to a famous musician that died over 20 years ago. Little do they know, these ghosts are not only the spark that will reignite Trucy’s love for music, but also the key to several long lost mysteries...
Ft. Klapollo, bg Narumitsu, and possibly Franmaya. Will include Clay Terran somehow. Other than Apollo, I’m not sure who the other main ghosts will be yet, or even if I should include more ghosts in the main group or not (I’d love to hear some ideas). Klavier will not be part of the ghost band, but he is relevant.
5. Sunset Turnabout
Nick(JATP) is accused of murder! With the help of Wright Anything Agency, Julie’s ghost band, and her friends, proving his innocence should be easy, right? But there is far more to the case than meets the eye, including a link to the death of 3 Sunset Curve members, and much, much more...
A true Ace Attorney and Julie and The Phantoms crossover! A case fic including the entire JATP cast and as many AA characters as I can fit without it getting bloated. Takes place post JATP S1, and vaguely post AA6 after I match up the timelines. Got lots of cool ideas for this one.

Julie Molina, 3rd generation legacy and senior at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women.
Luke Patterson, prodigy of the Blackthorne Institue for Boys.
The two first met last year during their spring final exam. He flirted. She used him. They both lied. But Luke cheated and Julie hasn’t forgiven it, she definitely hasn’t forgotten, and she can’t quite shake the blow to her confidence the encounter left.
But what was supposed to be a one off, turns out to be a lot more when Blackthorne joins Gallagher Academy for the year and suddenly Luke is everywhere. He’s cocky, charming, and drives her crazy but the look in his eyes when she aces a test or hands him is ass in gym sends butterflies fluttering through her stomach.
Which is stupid because Julie has more important things to worry about. Like passing her classes and getting through her final year. Like why her mothers been acting so weird, stress lining her eyes. Like why exactly the Blackthorne boys are here this year and what exactly happened to Headmaster Covington. Like what she’s going to do after graduation… if they even get there, because the mystery of Blackthorne is far more dangerous than they could have ever guessed.

Person A, the smaller of the two, picks out an enormous pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and insists to Person B that they’re fine carrying it back on their own, even though they’re clearly not. . .sounds like something Carlos would pull
"C'mon Reggie!"
"Hold up little dude, I'm coming!" Reggie called back, chasing after his Little Brother Carlos. He had signed up for the program for extra credit his sophomore year, but he had come to love it, really bonding with Carlos.
Carlos who had been sullen and rude at their first meeting, doing poorly in school and having just lost his mom. Reggie tried to be there for them, letting him brood and sulk for a bit before taking them places, slowly opening up to Carlos so the boy would do the same.
Now Carlos talked his ear off every time they saw each other, his grades were up, he was on his school's baseball team, and he had his own YouTube channel about ghost hunting.
Thus them ending up at a pumpkin patch because Carlos wanted a prop for his Great Pumpkin episode. A compromise after Carlos' dad had nixxed the boy's plan to stay at the patch all night. He had slipped Reggie a twenty to help pay for gas, and wished him luck.
Now Reggie realized the wishes had not been in jest. Carlos had run all over the patch trying to find the 'most sincere' pumpkin, which apparently none of the gourds they had come across fit said moniker.
"We gotta go soon, it'll be dark soon," Reggie cautioned as they trod through another lane full of orange vegetation. "I promised your dad I'd have you home for supper."
"Bleh, we're having pot roast again and papi always overcooks it," Carlos said. "But at least Julie will make the sides and she's aces at that."
"Hey my supper tonight is probably a pack of instant ramen so don't knock a homemade meal," Reggie jibbed.
"You wanna come for dinner? You know papi won't mind, he keeps inviting you," Carlos said. "Plus you can finally meet Julie."
Over the past few years Reggie had yet to meet Carlos' sister, as he only came over to pick Carlos up, and Julie apparently had an active social life, in a duo with her best friend Flynn and part of the school orchestra as a pianist.
"Maybe I will," Reggie said. "If you pick out a gosh darn pumpkin already!"
Carlos rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fiiiiine." He looked over the field in front of him and then dashed off, with Reggie hot on his heels. Stopping at a pumpkin that looked like it was a size or two short of being a coach for Cinderella.
"It's enormous!" Reggie exclaimed.
"It's perfect!" Carlos echoed. "I want it!"
Reggie sighed, but he didn't try to talk him out of it, simply waved an employee over to cut the gourd off the vine and pay. "You think we can borrow a wheelbarrow?"
"Nah, it's fine, I got it," Carlos said, hefting it up into his arms, disappearing behind the pumpkin.
"You need help little man?" Reggie asked, trying to keep the amusement out of his voice.
"No," Carlos said, but Reggie could hear him straining. He took a few steps, then paused. Started again and repeated it a few times, only getting a foot away from where Reggie was standing. "Maybe a little?"
Reggie chuckled and took a good chunk of the heft, the two of them waddling towards his truck, Reggie wincing at the thought of what this would do to his suspension. They dusted themselves off, and once they were strapped in, took off back to the Molina house.
Ray looked at the pumpkin as they laid it in the mudroom. "Whelp, you two are helping me carve this. But tia will have enough for pie for a dog's age."
"Can Reggie stay for supper?" Carlos asked.
"Of course he can mijo," Ray said, then turned to Reggie. "You're always welcome Reggie, no need to ask."
Reggie beamed and whispered his thanks, then went to go wash up while Carlos set the table and Ray called Julie.
Reggie was exciting the bathroom when he collided with a body, catching them around the waist and stopping. Oh wow. This must be Julie and she was so so pretty. "Hi there."
She blushed a little and beamed up at him. "Hi. You must be Reggie."
"That's me," he replied. "I'm Carlos' Big Brother. But not yours."
Julie giggled, "Well that's good. You staying for supper?"
"That I am."
"Well that's good, I made apple crisp," Julie said. "You don't wanna miss that."
"I don't think I wanna miss much," Reggie said, running his fingers through his hair and sending her a grin.
Carlos stood off to the side and grinned, high fiving his dad before they snuck off, not even caring that it took ten minutes for the other two to come to the table, looking pink and a little flustered. But Carlos didn't mind, and wondered how long it would be until Reggie became his big brother for real.

Oooo JatP headcanons??? Also know I am laying on your floor on a fluffy rug and staring at you upside down while asking this. And also I have befriended your cat!
JatP headcanons!! I haven’t laid these out super well, and I stole a few of them, but here we go.
• Julie is a cat person. So is Luke. When they get an apartment together they adopt a cat.
• Reggie is obsessed with eyeliner, as shown in that one post we all saw about Reggie using up Julie’s eyeliner (where I also added some suggestions but that’s not the important part)
• Reggie is ace. Not sure if this was decided by the entire fandom or just me.
• Carlos and Willie pull the worst pranks on Alex. The worst.
• If Julie got married she would make sure she was surrounded by flowers and the people she loves. I had a drabble I wrote about jukebox getting married on a lily pond, but I lost it to docs. I may have accidentally deleted it.
• Ray met Rose at a coffee house similar to Eats & Beats, after the Petal Pushers had been performing a set. Ray had been the coffeehouse’s set videographer and also the bartender, and he and Rose bonded over music and mochas.
• Trevor is so very gay.
• Butterflies and Dahlias are recurring themes and therefore signify important events in Julie’s life and so right after getting back from her first ever big time tour she gets a tattoo of a butterfly resting at the centre of a dahlia, around which is ‘you can do it, Julie’ in Rose’s handwriting. And then when she adopts aforementioned cat, she gets their collar engraved with a dahlia. And when she moves into the apartment with Luke, they hang a larger-than-life piece of watercolor art of a dahlia on their wall. To remind her of Rose, and that every day, she helps Rose’s legacy live on.
• Julie’s background is a picture Reggie took of Jukebox sleeping on the studio couch together. (Yes, it’s a To All The Boys reference, leave me alone)
• Nick and Reggie if we’re in canon, Boggie and Nick is aroace if this is an everyone-is-alive-at-the-same-time-and-is-like-16-or-17 AU.
• Julie’s hair smells like raspberries and roses
• Luke had a cat as a child that was a very sleepy small grey cat, and when he left home, that was one of the things he was most sad to leave. When he regains life 26 years later, the cat is miraculously still living with Emily and Mitch (the cat has ghost powers but no one knows this and non one ever figures it out) and runs to Julie’s house about six hours (it was napping) after Julie gifts life to the boys, reuniting with Luke.
• Mitch and Emily live about a block and a half from the Molinas. Nothing bad happened to the cat
So those are the headcanons I can remember right now!! I have more but those are the major ones.
We are having a sleepover and my cat is cuddling your side while your stare at me upside down on the fluffy rug whilst listening to me talk about headcanons. She is attempting to knead your side.

I spent quite some time debating whether this question should be considered fandom-specific ... or not. But then I realized there is no canon-pairing in JATP that I dislike. I love Juke; I adore Willex. I can even accept the semi-canon pairings (Lalex, Flynn/Reggie).
So, I go with my previous/cold/passive fandoms - that would be Souma and Erina from Food Wars!/Shokugeki no Souma. I tried a few times to like them - they were the main canon ship, after all. I'm supposed to enjoy them, right? But damn, those two had ZERO chemistry.
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Okay, I do one for JATP and one for my other fandoms.
JATP: Since Julie and Luke are the only characters that got character development (well, Alex got a smidge, too, but not much), it's a tough decision between those two. I'm inclined to say Luke, though, since his character development made me reevaluate my initial assessment of his character.
Considering all my fandoms, it's Tsukishima Kei from Haikyu!! His character development moved me to tears.🥹
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
You want me to choose?! You want me to choose between Julie & Flynn, Sunset Curve, the Molina family bond, and Julie and her Phantoms?! 😱😭
I LOVE them all.
But the Reggie & Ray (and Carlos) friendship has a special place in my heart. It's so funny; it's so heartbreaking. They deserved more bonding time.😭
W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
A/B/O dynamics, next-gen, characters watching the show ... There's a long list. Oh, and it should go without saying, but any dubious consent sex tropes.
Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren't in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?
Hehe ... there are so many! Nancy Drew, for sure. (I know there's Nancy, I know there's Ace, I know they're in love. That's the plot, right? 🤓)
Then there's Ted Lasso, which I still have to finish. A lot of K-Drama. Percy Jackson, which I'll check out when the Disney show gets released. And so many more.

So, it just occurred to me that Carrie explaining Julie and her ‘hologram band’ to her dad in 1x09, pretty clearly for the first time, means:
He didn’t go to Eats ‘n Beats, which, I guess I knew, but it just kind of hit home that he should’ve been there to be supportive. But at the very least, wouldn’t you have told your dad about it later?
She also didn’t tell him about being “upstaged” at the spirit rally.
She didn’t tell him where she was going when she went to Julie’s garage party.
She didn’t explain in any detail when she came home with a bunch of kids to throw an impromptu party the night of the dance.
So Carrie doesn’t go to her dad when she’s upset, doesn’t vent to him, and doesn’t even ask him for professional advice. Like, does he have any idea what’s going on in her life? Does he even care? It’s just sad.

Hi Kay! Thank you for the ask!
People: This one's not actually from a JatP fic! It's from a Descendants Jay/Ben fic where Jay is trying to figure out how to tell Ben he's ace.
Jay sighs and uses what little magic he can muster at the moment to unlock the door. Mal comes in and kneels by the tub. Given the events of the night, it should bother Jay that Mal is seeing him naked, but he can’t bring himself to care. Mal is one of only three people in the entire world who Jay has never once felt unsafe around. They have every part of each other memorized. It’s natural for them.

That is, until he makes the mistake of using Mami against Julie. He doesn’t even really remember what he says. All he knows is that he’s been misgendered one too many times today, been shoved into that stupid sparkly pink box one too many times, and when Julie says something about how Mami somehow raised two leading ladies, something cruel and utterly stupid leaves Carrie’s mouth about how Mami never believed in her. He knows he’s gone too far the moment he says it, but Julie is already out of the room and sobbing into Papi’s arms before he can even open his mouth to apologize.
Paper: From my Secret Love Songs fic that I will finish even though it's like 2 months overdue at this point
“So,” Reggie says slowly, “I guess the only option is…” he looks over at Willie, whose face has gone sick with dread. “Willie I-Don’t-Know-Your-Last-Name, will you fake date me so we can co-parent this dog?
“It’s Covington,” Willie mutters, avoiding Reggie’s eyes all of a sudden. “And yeah. Whatever. I guess so.”
“Great,” Reggie claps, trying desperately to hide his disappointment at the underwhelming response. “Now let’s get this paperwork filled out before those lesbians come back to rob us.”
Music: From my Everyone Lives Sunset Skater au (the one where Willie is a Rolling Stone reporter), where the boys and Rayrose are one massive co-parenting polycule
“Wow,” Willie breathes. “That’s amazing. I mean, I’ll have to talk to Luke and our family, obviously, but— could I know a little more about them?”
“Of course,” Jennifer says. “Her name is Flynn, she’s 4 years old. She says she likes ‘music and rainbows.’”
Willie chuckles. “She sounds like a good fit.”
Book: This is from my sunset skater arranged marriage au! This is Luke and Alex's wedding
It’s not like the weddings Alex reads about in his books, however. In those, the ceremonies are bursting with love. The pews are packed with people crying happy tears, because they know the people getting married are willing to devote their entire lives to each other out of pure love.
Wall: From my Very long song fic examining Caleb and Willie's relationship that I will finish someday. (tw for possessive behavior)
“I assure you, it was.” Caleb steps forward, trapping Willie’s back against the wall. “I do my best to give all my possessions the best possible afterlife, and in return, I ask for certain services. This is simply part of your payment.”
“Possessions?” Willie spits out. “I am not your fucking possession.”

Stealing each others clothes and peterpatterlina?
Julie Molina was a clothes thief. Always had been. It started when she was young, using her mom's fancy stage outfits for dress-up, then slowly just keeping them as her mom performed less and less. Then it was an oversized shirt of her dad's when she was sad and it felt like a hug when he wasn't there.
It only got worse as she started dating Luke and Reggie. Sure they had quite a few inches on her (curse her lack of height thanks to her Alvarez genes) but she still loved taking their stuff.
Luke's cut offs were a blessing on hot summer days when the AC just wan't cutting it and she needed a confidence boost. Reggie's flannel was a godsend during her period; the fabric soft and worn enough not to irritate her already sensitive body.
And it wasn't like they didn't steal her stuff right back. If she couldn't find her favourite yellow smile sweater, chances were that one of her boyfriends was sporting it. Luke liked snagging her scarves as a replacement for the one he had stolen from his mom when the fabric was too delicate to risk att gigs anymore.
And Reggie decided he liked the way he looked in her skirts-an experiment that both her and Luke found devastating and distracting all at once.
It had been a day like any other, with Luke parsing out the tabs for his latest song, Julie was looking over their bills, and Reggie was putting away the laundry.
Only he held up one of her skirts-a plain pleated black affair that was honestly too big on her and Julie had said time and time again she should relocate, but had yet to do so, as it was something that went with everything and easy enough to wear. Plus it had pockets, and every girl knew to treasure those more than gold.
“Hey Jules?” Reggie asked. “C-could I try this on?”
“My skirt?” she clarified. “Sure if you want to.”
“At least it’s your colour,” Luke snarked earning him Julie stocking her tongue out and Reggie flipping him off.
Reggie went into the bedroom, and Julie could hear him huffing a bit until a sound of joy sounded, meaning he had found the tiny zipper allowing him to make it much easier to put it on. “Need any help?” she asked through the door.
“Depends on the zipper right now,” Reggie replied, but she heard the sound of him pulling it up, and then silence.
“Reg?” Luke joined her outside the door. “You okay babe?”
Reggie hummed in response. “Can we come in?” Another hun, and so they oh so slowly opened the door. Reggie was standing in front of the floor length mirror, just looking at himself.
Julie bit her lip and grabbed hold of Luke who was staring at Reggie with a slack jawed expression. Sure they knew Reggie was pretty but in the skirt he was downright gorgeous.
“It’s so swishy,” Reggie finally remarked, swaying a little.
“It feels even nicer if you shave your legs,” Julie finally choked out, just imagining his mile long legs all pale and smooth.
“Maybe next time,” Reggie mused. He finally turned to them, looking apprehensive. “Do you like it?”
“What we think doesn’t matter,” Julie said. “Only what you feel. But I got one, am a fan.”
“Luke?”
Luke finally stopped looking like he had swallowed his tongue and came over, his hands drifting over the skirt, and growled. “You need to take it off before we do things that will ruin it.”
“Or I can keep it on and we can wash it later?” he asked with a cheeky grin. “As long as Julie is okay with is having fun in her skirt?”
“Your skirt now lindo,” Julie replied with a smirk, pushing him onto the bed.
And maybe they bought him a few of his own after he wouldn’t stop stealing the others of Julie’s that fit. Even if it meant more laundry, they all agreed it was more than with it.

okay maybe i lied about having all of the crossover ideas ready lmao, but its really just one that has me stumped.
Julie Molina: Ace Attorney OR Flynn Taylor: Ace Attorney ?
while julie is the obvious choice, flynn being the protag defence attorney is pretty interesting as well, since it would make Julie the rival prosecutor/edgeworth of the au! Flynn would be able to see the sunset curve boys instead, and have then as her co-counsel. plus childhood friends to enemies to lovers would be AMAZING with these two!
however, it might make more sense for julie to be the protag, since the phantoms ARE hers, after all. Carrie would be the rival prosecutor instead, but im not sure where flynn would be in this version of the au.
of course, these arent the only crossover ideas i have, but i dont feel like putting both of these on the poll at the same time because they are fairly similar. lemme know your guys’ thoughts :)
