Hello! I found the silt verses about three weeks ago and have listened to it several times since. I have a few things to say.
I absolutely adore that episode about the national grid workers. I think it’s my favorite episode of any podcast I’ve ever listened to. My favorite part of that first episode Paige is in is how she justifies not standing up for Vaughn, that cognitive dissonance that you wrote so well. This episode gives me what I wanted from that episode, the workers all banding together to stop the wasteful sacrifice of one of them. The actor who played the foreman did an incredible job as well. I think that having him discuss which of his workers he would sacrifice was such a significant moment, despite how brief it is. It cuts right to the big question that I took away from the podcast which is, “How much is someone willing to sacrifice in order to maintain their comfort?” And the utter disrespect of Glodditch (apologies for the spelling) refusing to cancel even the radio but asking grid workers to kill themselves for 200kw/h! Top tier episode.
I grew up in the south and went to college in Appalachia. I saw the disparity in technology and “advancement” if that makes sense that poverty brings, and the way you set up the world invokes that feeling in me again. You are an amazing world builder and storyteller.
I really enjoyed the cameos - I’m a big fan of malevolent/devisor, Old gods of Appalachia, and all of Jonny sims work, so hearing familiar voices was an absolute delight. Harlan Guthrie as an acolyte of the snuff gods might have been a bit too on the nose with some of the things that man writes, though… /pos
I’m transmasculine, and something that I really appreciate is how you manage to make a trans man do some objectively awful things, but still manage to make him a complex, full character that I was rooting for very frequently. Brother Faulkner is so, so important to me as a character. Paula Vogel has a play called “Indecent,” which is about the true story of a troupe of I believe German Jewish actors between the years of 1910ish and 1940s putting on a show called “God of Vengeance” by Sholem Asch, also a Jewish man. “God of Vengeance” has queer themes and received a lot of criticism from the Jewish community for showing Jewish folks in a “bad” light at a time when there was already so much hatred for Jewish people. Brother Faulkner being as complex and, in my opinion, malicious and cutthroat as he is at a time when trans people face so much bigotry, especially legislatively in the United States, brings this conversation about “God of Vengeance” up again for me. I also love how normalized non-binary people are in this world, without question. “Sibling this or that,” the hunter, adjudicator Shrew - big thanks from me for all of this.
All of this to say, I love this podcast. Can you talk more about the rhetorical gods? Is Babble one? What makes them one if they are, or why aren’t they? I’m fascinated by them. Can you talk more about the propaganda gods too?

I'll check out Indecent, it sounds really interesting and I'm very glad to hear Faulkner works for you as a character. I think the topic of how to include and write queer characters who are capable of terrible things and thoughts (because, after all, these characters are human beings and not tutelary exemplars), within the context of both a rising movement of transphobia right now and centuries-old scapegoating / pathologising portrayals more generally, is a really knotty but a really important one, and I always want to make sure I'm approaching it with care and due responsibility as well as a sense of humility around the limitations of what, as a cis writer, I can actually achieve.
To that end, I don't want to ever take the audience response for granted, but I'm always really grateful to hear that the portrayal is working for a listener!
Propaganda gods: gods whose prayer-marks or ritual verses are fed directly to the enemy, enforcing destructive or sabotaging changes to reality (so rather than sending a destructive saint or angel to rampage over the foe, you might drop pamphlets or send radio messages to the enemy to 'convert' them).
Rhetorical gods: gods whose followers possess reality-warping powers of language itself (which is why 'rhetorical god' is a polite way of saying 'liar's god'). In other words, the paranoia around them comes partly down to the fact that a disciple like Val may appear to be a limitless shaper of new forms, rather than shaped into a limited form of their own, as a result of their worship.

I hope you don't mind this type of question- What kind of video games the gods would play if they were in modern world?
I don't mind at all!
Sun- Definitely prefers 'unwind' type games that allow him to organize and do cute themes for his virtual life. I think of Sims, Animal Crossing, Stardew... This type of vibe.
Eclipse- He's the type that picks games for their stories. I think he would be very into stuff like God of War and Fable. Fighting, glory, emotional storylines. This kind of thing.
Pluto- Pet Sims and cute games. A lot of Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and maybe a bit of Sims too. Gets emotionally attached to her characters/Sims so she can't be playing the heavy games (and that's okay)
Moon- I imagine he likes games with puzzles more than games with combat. I do see him playing LoZ (Legend of Zelda) for sure, but aside from that, I think maybe Stray or other such games.
Lunar- Minecraft/silly. Lunar will play any game. He's versatile. He has hundreds of hours in FFXIV. He's crushed all the Zelda games. I think he'd be an achievement hunter. 100% loves FNAF games and other fun spooky stuff, too.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 26: Luigi's Struggle
Cullen returned to the townhouse as a new man and found his cousin Luigi shambling around the place like a zombie.
When his relatives pressed him on the problem, he confessed to suffering frequent episodes of headaches and lightheadedness. His symptoms didn’t seem to respond to over-the-counter medication, leaving him exhausted and unable to focus. It was clear that he’d like to rest and recover, but the ambitious young sim refused to skip any of the classes, homework, papers, or e-sports practice sessions he had crammed into his daily schedule.
Everyone pushed Luigi to take care of himself. He promised to get checked out at the clinic, but as one day bled into the next the grind never stopped and that trip to the doctor became just another well-intentioned promise he didn’t follow through on.

One evening after coming home from practice nursing another exhausting killer headache, Luigi’s body decided to make him listen.
Hunter heard a loud thump as he was getting ready for bed and discovered Luigi lying in an awkward heap near the stairs, unresponsive and clammy.
He rushed to his cousins’ side, calling his name and shaking him gently until he finally came to. Luigi didn’t argue when instead of seeing him off to bed Hunter led him down the stairs and out the door towards the medical clinic, phoning Peachy on the way.

He remained barely conscious in the exam room, leaving it up to Hunter to fill the doctors and a worried uncle Peachy in about Luigi’s recent lethargy.
Luigi dosed fitfully on the hard mattress, fading in and out of clarity as techs drew blood and prodded him with tools and confusing questions. Peachy looked on with growing concern as his boy barely roused himself when the doctor finally came in with answers and a treatment plan.
The blood tests had diagnosed Luigi with anemia, just like his Uncle Paul. His symptoms had worsened as his blood had grown more and more iron deficient, and he wouldn’t improve unless he made a serious effort to correct the shortfalls in his diet and overall health.

Luigi didn’t quite need a blood transfusion, but the doctor warned the infusion of iron that would accelerate his recovery might still leave him feeling quite rough.
Peachy thanked Hunter for taking care of his boy, doing his best to make Luigi comfortable before settling in to watch over his treatment and discharge. Luigi would need to start taking iron supplements and incorporate a long list of dietary suggestions into his grocery buying plans, but if he did, like his Uncle Paul he should be just fine.

Luigi had barely gotten back home and into his PJs when the nausea the nurse had warned him about sent him scrambling to the toilet instead of his bed.
When he finally made it to his room, he found his dad waiting for him. Peachy watched him get settled and then sat down beside him for a little chat.

Peachy told his son that he was so very proud of his achievements in school, but this night had been a wake-up call to take better care of himself.
There was no shame in not getting straight As, or even in not getting a college degree at all! None of their ancestors that Papa Jack had held up as “legacy heirs” had earned a university diploma, and many of them had gone on to reach the top of their careers without one, just as Peachy had.
He was sure Luigi would do great things with or without a degree, but no matter what life brought him Peachy wanted him to be healthy and happy.

A chagrined Luigi told his father that he fully intended to finish school, as playing on the university team was the best way to launch into his dream esports career. However, he agreed to pay better attention to what his body was telling him and find a good school/life balance.
Peachy promised to check in with Luigi and his cousins to make sure he did just that before kissing him on the forehead and making his way home.
As Luigi drifted off to sleep a picture of Isra flicked in front of his mind’s eye. A night at the clinic wasn’t the only thing his singular focus on his studies had cost him, and he silently resolved to keep his promise to his father, and himself, this time around.

ENS Shenanigans, or "Annie", has been Ginny's first project horse. Annie and Ginny had their first debut back at the Shore's End Show Hunter Trials three years ago, in the crossrail division. From her first time off property, off the track thoroughbred Annie has acted like an old pro. Since then, Annie has made appearances at TBS shows, and has continued to flourish in the hunter ring.
Unlike years ago, in a small crossrail division, Ginny isn't nervous. Stepping up to Green Hunters means that Ginny has achieved her goals for Annie. Annie will never go on to Performance Hunters, or be at the highest derby levels. But that doesn't matter. Ginny loves Annie's large heart, and that she's never stopped trying for Ginny. Annie is Ginny's little mare that could. She's been foundational in Ginny's desire to retrain racehorses, and has exemplified the talent of racehorses in their sporthorse careers.

Rain World Friendship Simulator AU- Intro Post
Friendship Simulator is a Rain World AU that's basically just a slice of life/sitcom type thing. After Enot's campaign, she was sent to not a void where she could attempt to flirt with other slugcats, but a nice, comforting place where all the other scugs went. They all hang out as friends and get up to silly shenanigans
That's pretty much it! Just a calm, relaxed, goofy little AU. There are no real ships, and Enot is on the younger side here, which is why it's Friendship Sim. Occasionally some other folks other than just the main 9 slugcats are there
And here's all the refs!
Enot (she/her) is happy, cheerful, yet deeply emotional younger slugcat who cares a lot for her friends. She gets very excited about things, and just as she does that, Enot also feels horrible when she messes something up. Her goal is to make friends with everyone, and make everyone be friends with each other, to have some happiness and everyone's lives. She's also basically just me projecting on to a character I really like
Monk (he/him) is slightly nervous, but bubbly and full of love for the world. Karma flowers seem to grow on him, and he hands them out to everyone. Usually he stays close to Survivor, but is also good friends with Enot and really looks up to Saint
Survivor (they/them) is quiet, thoughtful, and caring. They don't talk often, but really open up to their closest friends out of the group, and especially to their younger brother
Hunter (she/her) is brave and tough with a heart of gold. She'll step in to solve arguments amongst the rest of the slugcats, and isn't afraid to fight if need be. She's in a platonic relationship with Artificer. The rot on her isn't going to kill her anymore, because the Friendship Sim Zone is a safe space from harm
Gourmand (he/him) is loving of everyone. He's always there to talk to whoever needs it, and loves telling stories, both real and made up. He's the designated chef, and makes food exactly how all this friends like it
Artificer (she/her) is sarcastic, standoffish, and snappy. She rarely opens up at all, even though everyone knows what she's been through. Hunter is the only one who she actually gets her problems out with. She's adopted Enot as a new child because Enot lost her parents and Artificer lost her children. Artificer is also the only one (besides Saint) to know that Enot also lost her brother Nightcat in a terrible accident. But Hunter and Enot are the only ones she shows her sensitive side to
Rivulet (he/it) is energetic and rambunctious and says terrifying things and doesn't know how terrifying they are. "Haha yeah, so I was sprinting through Five Pebbles and there were two huge Long Legs chasing me! One of them grabbed me and starting dragging me through narrow tunnels and I dropped the Rarefaction Cell an- what do you mean that isn't normal?" He's very friendly, but most of the older slugcats get worn out by its energy very fast
Spearmaster (he/him) is solemn and soft-spoken most of the time, but does get excited about things that interest him. He makes a lot of art in his free time, often showcasing it to everyone... except Enot. They have a very rocky relationship, with Enot always seeming to be able to catch him at the worst times possible when Spearmaster is in a terrible mood. He doesn't hate her though. He just thinks her positivity and long-winded ramblings are the last thing he needs to hear when worrying about Seven Red Suns
Saint (he/they) is calm and collected, offering advice and concern to everyone. He isn't a fan of Artificer, due to her Karma issues, or Gourmand because of his rejection of ascension, but less so with him. They're unable to achieve perfect attunement in the Friendship Sim Zone for safety reasons. Saint is aware of Enot's brother, due to what happened to him, but has never told her about it
Below the cut are the refs for the iterators, who stop by sometimes, and Enot's older brother Nightcat, and what happened with them!
The iterators pop by occasionally, most to check up on their emotional support slugcat. Moon is the most frequent visitor, since all of the scugs love her, and Pebbles the least common, because he has work to do. Moon will bring in fun little things for the slugcats that have floated into her chamber, Sig will sneak them some games that were left up in his city, Suns mostly just stays with Spearmaster, and Pebbles will monolouge at whatever slugcat he's decided he's mad at today before leaving in the most dramatic fashion possible
Nightcat is a terrifying, ghost story cryptid. He mostly lives in Rubicon where he died, slinking around, but will occasionally make visits to the surface world on the darkest of nights. He seldom speaks, except for faint whispers in the caverns of Rubicon. He guides lost and wayward souls to the Void Sea, although rude slugpups turn this into him snatching up anyone he can and throwing them into the Void Fluid
Enot and Nightcat before their Rubicon incident
When the two were young, their parents died in an accident trying to get them to a shelter. They had run through a Scavenger Toll with no pearls to offer, and were chased after. Their mother was killed almost immediately, and their father pierced with a spear. He managed to lead them to a shelter before collapsing, but there was nothing either of them could do. Afterwards, they had to fend for themselves against the cruelty of the world. Nightcat, being the older one, was usually in charge
One day, when wandering in the depths of Subterranean, Nightcat found a deep, deep hole, and suggested to Enot that they should explore it. They both jumped down, and ended up not in the Depths, but Rubicon, despite neither of them having max Karma
They carefully tip-toed around the dangerous region, both desperate to get back out. They were attacked by all of the terrifying creatures that lived there, but using the incredible power of fire spears, were able to defend themselves...
Until a Miros Vulture swooped down
Nightcat picked up a nearly golden fire spear that seemed to have been submerged in Void Fluid at some point, and tried to throw it, only to realize the Void Fluid was making it stick to his hands. So he had to fight the Miros Vulture in close combat, until Enot threw a rock at its head that knocked it off balance and caused it to fly back up. Nightcat bent down to dip the spear in the Void Fluid around the small patch of land they were on to hopefully fully dissolve it and free his hands, when the Miros Vulture came back. It pointed its laser at Enot, and Nightcat jumped in front of her, pushing her away and being blasted backwards into the Void Fluid, quickly vanishing beneath the golden water
Enot had never been filled with so much rage. In her fury, she leapt at the Miros Vulture, clawing and biting at it. She sunk her teeth into the softest part of its neck, and it collapsed. She stood over its body, and took a bite out of it. Behind her, a Guardian approached, and pointed a long tendril at her. She fell down with a thud as the body of the Miros Vulture disappeared, and felt like she was burning. The Guardian dropped her Karma down to two, since what had transpired had been out of love, although of a different kind than what two implies. It burned the symbol into her, and she was brought back to way above Rubicon, at the edge of Outer Expanse. She looked much different than before, and had woken up with weird colors, strange eyes, the Karma two symbol burnt into her chest, and a weird egg in her hand. Now alone, Enot reflected on everything, and decided to do everything in her power to make herself happy
Nightcat on the other hand, suffered a much worse fate
He was completely submerged in Void Fluid in seconds, and couldn't drop the spear to swim. He tried, and as he did, stabbed himself through the stomach with it. He was finally able to let go of it, but fell down into the golden liquid, his last memories flashing before him being him and Enot being happy. As he sunk into the Void Fluid, he didn't turn into an Echo. He became a slender beast with too many arms and legs that moved as silently as a shadow, cursed to lurk in the dark depths of Rubicon, and only sometimes being able to see the real world again. He couldn't move on, but was able to walk the waking world still, as his death had been noble and he had technically died before getting to ascend. He was never able to find Enot again, instead deciding to guide the wayward and abandoned who fell into Rubicon like he had to a better place

Tarot Assignment: Hiyoko Tosaka
This request made me ridiculously happy to see. I love one (1) kickass hunter-gatherer otome protagonist.
Knight of Cups: This knight is one to listen to their heart over logic, and often finds themselves attractive and charming to others for their love of love and their living in the moment. This card can signify the start of a romance, and are also considered messengers. Hiyoko, as a dating sim protagonist, of course taps into the romance aspect of it, and as she is self-aware of her status to a degree, she seems to intentionally like to play into romance tropes on occasion. She follows her instincts and her heart, and is quick to take action.
Sun: The card of success, positivity, strength, vitality, and joy, it inspires others to follow their own paths and achieve fulfillment. The Sun radiates confidence, energy and affection for people, much like Hiyoko's blunt enthusiasm and cheerfulness frequently helps those around her feel just a little better and take chances; on Ryouta, Sakuya and Nageki's routes most clearly. Hiyoko tends not to dwell on the negatives and tries her best to brighten things up. She even tends to keep most negativity or annoyance with others to herself... when she remembers not to say things out loud that is. (Runner up: Chariot)
Ace of Wands: The boldest card of the Wands (itself a bold suit already), this card is about willpower, excitement, and taking chances. It encourages people to follow their instincts and be assertive in taking action. Hiyoko is notorious for following her hunter-gatherer instincts, and while this does not always land her in the best situations (to put it mildly), you can't say she doesn't act decisively and put her all into the moment. Again, one of Hiyoko's best traits is that she encourages others to take risks and chances, instead of letting the past bog them down. She doesn't hold herself back, and she doesn't want her friends to hold themselves back either.

RWBY VTuber Personalities
I heard that yang is going to be joining Ruby soon as a VTuber!!!! And suddenly, the world feels a bit brighter! But, I would like to imagine how other RWBY characters would be like if they began Vtubing.
Weiss: Complains about how childish video games are. Gets obsessively over-invested and restarts after every mistake.
Blake: Also complains about how they are a waste of time. Leaves after 10 minutes but just leaves the stream going (after depositing a shadowclone stand-in).
Yang: BONZAI!!!
Pyrhha: Has never played a video game before in her life. Smashes the Dark Souls II speedrun world record on her first try while apologizing to every monster.
Juane: Nervously tries to act cool, begins to freak out, and just starts talking in his ASMR voice because he has no idea what else to do.
Nora: BRING! IT! ONNNNNNNN! HIYYAAAAAAAA!!!
Ren: Politely says hello. Finishes the Stardew Valley stream without saying anything else. Politely says goodbye.
Cinder: Leads other players to their deaths to loot their bodies, abusively manipulates other players to turn on each other, somehow manages to burn down the villagers in Animal Crossing, and tricks Finland into delcaring war on the Island of Mauritius on livestream.
Neo: Ren + Cinder.
Neon Cat: Most annoying anime reviewer ever. And yet I would be surprisingly open to it.
Watts: Pretends to play a video game while actually hacking the computers of all his viewers (all three of them) and stealing their credit card numbers. Hacks the game to make his skills appear amazing and talks about his own achievements. Because, you know, his ego.
Fox: Literally fighting blind in Smash Bros yet manages to win every match while cracking jokes.
Coco: Queen of Sims. Supersonic princess of Mario Karts. Influencer paragon of VTubers. Scarlet's rival.
Scarlet: King of Sims. Supersonic prince of Sonic Racing. Influencer paragon of VTubers. Coco's rival.
Velvet: Best teammate ever.
Qrow: Worst teammate ever. Livestreams a DnD game. His companions only roll nat 1s. Qrow is abandoned and is yet somehow able to beat the campaign by himself while drunk.
Yatsu: Ren + Juane.
Sun: Abandons all of his teammates in the middle of a quest to go chase after something shiny. All of his teammates die.
Neptune: Acts cool except on water levels.
Ooblek: Speedruns games based on historical events while spouting off how they are all inaccurate.
Port: Somehow manages to make Monster Hunter boring (although truthfully, I don't like violent games like Monster Hunter).
Oscar: Awkward, yet deeply profound, commentaries on anime. Surprisingly knowledable about farming games.
Penny: Lovable goofball capable of breaking speed run records and everyone's hearts.
I realized while writing this that I based most of these on their earlier character traits. Probably because RWBY characters are easier to stereotype earlier in their stories before they gain complexity and development (an intentional decision by CRWBY and a reason why RWBY has such phenomenal character arcs). Idk, what do you all think?

Kit’s Quick LEPacy: The Plumbobs
Generations 1-3
Grant Plumbob was plopped down in Sunset Valley with one dream: becoming Leader of the Free World. And he succeeded! He surely wouldn’t have without his doting wife, Agnes Crumplebottom, who opened her heart and her home to him. There he was able to hold the greatest fundraising parties Sunset Valley has ever seen (seriously.... he would make campaign bank on those parties, like $50,000 a party). They had three children who were mostly raised by Agnes hiring a babysitter: Lizzie and twins Hamilton and Quincy.
When their father passed, the children took the family fortune and moved to Riverview. Lizzie found love and her calling as a forensic specialist which is why she’s not pictured. Hamilton, on the other hand, knew he was destined for greatness... As a Martial Arts Master. He successfully completed his aspiration a few days into adulthood, and married Shen Su.
Quincy’s heart belonged to adventure. A non-committal sim, she held a variety of jobs over her lifetime but mostly she followed her mother’s footsteps and wrote novels... Really trashy, smutty literature to fund her escapades. Her lifetime goal of becoming a Seasoned Traveler was full of tomb raiding, running errands, convincing sims to sign petitions, and losing priceless artifacts like Pangu’s Axe (no idea where it went... devastated about it tbh). She had two daughters with trysts on her adventures--Layla and Jia.
Layla’s path to achieving her dreams has been a little more zig-zaggy. When the family moved to Twinbrook, she moved away from her mom and sis to try the Ghost Hunter... which has made it hard to concentrate on her Descendant of Da Vinci LTW. We made it to level 8 as a Ghost Hunter before retiring to ~art~ full-time, as she and her husband Terry got bit by the baby bug. As of right now, they both rolled a want for a 3rd child, and she’s mastered the Sculpting and Painting skills [and is working on Inventing now. A lot of the time she just sets herself on fire though]. I have full confidence she will complete her LTW before she’s an Elder.... I hope.... because I want to activate Late Night and figure out which kid will carry on the family name!

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 190: End of an Era - Peach Gen
The downside to living with a bunch of wise ancestral spirits was that sometimes they forgot to extinguish the fireplace before dawn. And thus, much like his teen birthday, the morning of Peachy’s Black and White Bash started out in flames and fire alarms when an unattended ember ignited the rug.
Luigi and his dad worked together to put out the blaze before it could spread beyond the living room. As Valentina wrapped her “friend” in a thank you hug for his quick response Luigi looked on with mild confusion. They were just happy that a crises had been averted, right…?

After a little Presto-Repairo for the scorched househould objects, everyone grabbed a quick breakfast and got changed to head to the estate.
From amongst all his green clothes, Luigi pulled out the black and white suit that had been rented just for the occasion, admiring himself in the mirror. He looked good in these fancy dress duds, if he did say so himself!
Peachy had scheduled the bash as early as possible, eager to see the special guest he knew would be in attendance. As promised Jack was waiting for them at the entrance when they arrived. Father and son joyfully greeted their beloved sim with hugs and kisses. It was fantastic to see him again.

All the family cooks were ready to join Peachy in preparing the feast, but he had other plans. He wanted to spend some one-on-one time with Jack, cooking up the meal and the cake together, just like old times.
Only by promising that papa wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon did the pair convince a reluctant Luigi to head up to the balcony with the others of his generation. Peachy’s Bash was doubling as Luigi’s early graduation celebration, and his new friend Isra had chosen to attend it over their HS prom.
As they chatted with Tess and Hunter over a round of Cluedo Luigi had to appreciate how pretty Isra looked in her little black dress, and what a clear statement of her intent it was that she chose to spend prom night with his family instead of with the rest of her classmates.

While Peachy and Jack were busy in the kitchen the other birthday boy enjoyed some time on the dance floor with family and friends both living and dead. No one had any fear of ghosts on this day as multiple generations mingled in the magical spring sunshine.
Peachy could have had a few extra days of adulthood courtesy of his problematic pregnancy but celebrating his final birthday back in sync with his “twin” August was more important to him. August didn’t think he would make that trade, but he hadn’t been willing to get pregnant either!
With super nanny Cole watching over the newest members of their large family, parents like Nikita and Paul were enjoying the fancy bubble machine and gorgeous mountain views, fondly remembering another bubble blower and their first official, unexpectedly fiery, date downtown.

While Jack and Peachy’s feast was being set out upstairs Luigi pulled out his scouting board. He’d earned his final two badges just before graduation but held off on collecting them once he found out Papa Jack would be at the bash to celebrate with him. His Papa’s proud smile was everything he’d been hoping for.
Jack further demonstrated how proud he was of both his boys’ accomplishments by giving a lovely toast before dinner.
Grinning from ear to ear he told their guests how proud he was of his son for graduating early and applying to university. He had no doubt he’d be accepted and achieve great things, just like his precocious and adorable daddy who had successfully defended sims from danger and upheld the law, while never missing an opportunity to spread joy and laughter, ever since he was a teenager himself.

Peachy was now literally a pro at making others smile, but at this party it was someone else’s job to bring the funny.
Since joining Johnny’s agency, Peachy and the immortal comedian had gotten to know each other even better. Peachy had opened for Johnny numerous times, and when he heard about Peachy’s party he’d offered to come and perform as his present to his fan and new colleague.
His roast of the cop comedian had everyone in stitches and a grateful Peachy thanked his idol for all his continued support and encouragement.

Valentina had let Peachy and Jack have their space during the long day, but she’d never been far from Peachy’s thoughts. He was nervous about broaching the topic of his romantic feelings for her with Jack but knew that he’d never feel free to pursue their relationship if he didn’t.
He snuck Jack away after dinner to discuss romance with his lover now separated by death. Just as Steven had anticipated Jack told his widow not to miss out on this chance at happiness. What neither Peachy nor his father knew was that Jack had, after all, encouraged this particular pairing!
Jack was sure their son would be happy for him but promised to speak to Luigi about it himself before heading back to the nether. Noticing the “twins” cake being brought up from the kitchen Jack gave his love one final kiss before they headed inside to celebrate the traditional birthday spin of change.

The two birthday boys took turns blowing out their candles. Before Peachy spun his way into elderhood he took a moment to reflect on his journey.
It hadn’t been without its challenges but, in the end, he’d achieved everything he’d set his mind to. Surely, if he could defeat a giant alien plant monster and bring down a criminal mastermind, he could find the courage to let himself fall in love again with someone already loved by his whole family.
With his newest goal firm in his mind the new Elder marched over to Valentina, pulling her into a loving embrace while a happy Jack and shocked Luigi looked on.
