Note
I’ve been playing acnh a lot recently and was thinking of how Jason, Micheal and Danny johnson would react to it, learning how to play it etc, do you think they’d enjoy it or not care? :)
Um… I know I’ve been gone for a long time. I don’t know. I just had this itch to write today and decided to do this ask that’s been in my inbox forever. Hope you like it.
Jason Voorhees
Jason is a curious observer. The first time he saw you playing Animal Crossing, Jason watched from a distance silently so as to not disturb you playing your game. He could see how engrossed and passionate you were about the game when studying your facial features. It makes him happy to see you happy.
He wouldn’t express much interest in the game mechanics or the adorable characters, but he does find amusement in the peaceful and carefree nature of the virtual world. The game reminds him a lot of Crystal Lake and the measures he takes to protect it, assuming the main point of the game is to protect the forest, right?
If you ever sit down with Jason and try to teach him how to play, well it may take awhile to teach him and i mean a very long time. He is confused. He’ll probably tilt his head in confusion, trying to understand the appeal of catching virtual bugs and fishing in a serene village while struggling to figure out the controls. Why do it in a game when you could go outside to catch bugs and fish in real life by the beautiful lake outside the cabin?
Despite his stoic demeanor, Jason will secretly appreciate the joy it brings you and silently support you gaming endeavors. He may even get on the game and surprise you every once in a while with a virtual gift or gesture to help you with your progress.
Michael Myers
The first time Michael saw you play Animal Crossing, he was intrigued (if that is what you would call it). He’d silently walk around the couch and sit beside you, watching you with a blank and unchanged stare. I don’t know what you’d expect from him. He shows no discernible emotion ever. Anyways, you don’t realize he is sitting right next to you – since you're so deep into your game – that when you do notice him, you get the jumpscare of your life. Thanks Michael.
Michael finds Animal Crossing so interesting because it’s so peaceful and starkly contrasts with his reality which is full of violence and death. He’s not surprised that you would like something so peaceful, calming, and harmonious. You and him have very different interests and disinterests. Who is to judge though? He’s not gonna judge you because your interests and disinterests make you who you are. You being you is what drove him to you in the first place.
He doesn’t understand the charm of talking animals and virtual activities, but as long as it doesn’t interfere with his plans, he won’t mind. Michael will tolerate your gaming hobby just as long you aren’t screaming and cursing at your game 24/7 then it shouldn’t be an issue (I don’t see why you’d be yelling at it in the first place).
If you ever want to rant about your game, Michael is there to listen. It might seem like he’s not with that blank and unreadable expression he always has, but trust me he is. Did you get a new animal friend or new building? Are you frustrated because your best tools break? He’s sitting there taking it all in.
The Ghost Face/Danny Johnson
Out of all the three, Danny is the most likely to take the most interest in Animal Crossing, finding joy in the lighthearted and whimsical atmosphere of the game. He would notice you playing and, with a mischievous smile, offer to teach you how to play by suggesting to guide you through the ins and outs of the game. Spoiler alert, Danny has no clue what he’s doing so don’t feed his narcissistic ego even more.
Danny, being the competitive person he is, will most definitely turn it into playful competition. He would challenge you to see who could catch more bugs or find more fossils. Stay on your toes because Danny is a fast learner. Once he learns the ropes of the game, he will outperform you any day of the week.
Danny will often suggest date nights playing Animal Crossing, organizing in-game activities like fishing contests or fossil hunts. Oh great! More competitions. One of his favorite things to do when doing Animal Crossing dates with you is customizing y'all's virtual home. It’s a great time consuming project to be able to express y’all’s creativity together, fostering a sense of unity between you and Danny while sharing accomplishment, even if it’s just a game.
Danny also enjoys leaving little surprise gifts or notes within the game for you as a way to express affection and to add an element of mystery to both y’all’s Animal Crossing experience.

Rule: tag 10 other people you would like to know more about. I got tagged by @cryptid-deity
Relationship status: Single, and I prefer it that way.
Favourite colour: Blue
Song stuck in your head: Currently? The ACNH fishing tournament music.
Favourite food: There’s a restaurant near me that does this hot sauce I’m absolutely obsessed with. But I don’t know if hot sauce counts as a favorite food?
Last song played: https://open.spotify.com/track/4Wcu5awhBmNBzOgmqpWho4?si=9f434217bf3e426d
Dream trip: I'm pretty boring and don’t like to go places. I guess I’d like to go to the new york ren faire. I’ve heard it’s pretty big, and it seems like it would be fun.
Last thing I googled: I googled a guide for the fishing tournament because I wanted to know how many points I need to get all the fishing swag. I did not find the answer I wanted, but I only clicked on the first link that came up.
I guess I gotta tag some folks now. @salithemage @lenasai @nicomrade @clockwork-head @fersrsbizniz @thingsforthat @looped-lepus @curiousmittenkitten @imstillgear @deepfriedtoasters

Animal Crossing Fish Dish Friday - #15
Brought to you by a marine biologist that knows you can do this...
CLICK HERE FOR THE AC FISH EXPLAINED MASTERPOST!
Sautéed Olive Flounder
Tumblr media
In ACNH: 1. Catch an Olive Flounder 2. Cook at the stove with 1x Olive Flounder and 1x Skinny Mushroom
In Real Life: from France
Fish of Choice: Really, any flaky white fish will do, so that's really any thick flounder species to gadids like cod or haddock. If you're inland, may I suggest catfish? Go with what you like!
Other Ingredients:
Seasonings to taste - examples: sea salt, black pepper, dill, lemon, garlic, parsley Olive Oil or Butter (The ACNH dish sautés mushrooms alongside the fish - if you like mushrooms, put them in!)
Get the recipe and serve with rice and salad.
Sauté is just a way to cook something, as most "cooking styles" are. To sauté simply means to fry or just cook something with a fat, like butter or oil. If you cook a bunch, you've probably done it before without knowing it had a special name.
You should cook stuff in whatever way you like it. As a reminder, most non-baking recipes are more like guides than hard-and-fast rules. Experiment. Add your favorite seasonings. Use margarine instead of butter.
Basically, feel free to fuck around and find out. You never know - you could make something that you make on the regular.
And for those who think they're terrible at cooking and could burn water - listen. It takes practice. Will you make dinners that are less than fantastic? Yeah. You will a lot...but I believe if you keep getting back on the horse, eventually, you won't fall off anymore.
And there you have it. Bon appetite!

🏝 ACNH Getting Bells Guide
Sell things to the Nook twins in the shop, at first. Insects, hives, weeds, flowers, rocks, fish, fruit. Save up your gold, though, for DIY recipes that require it.
Once you start to get visits from C.J. and Flick, you can sell them fish and insects respectively and they pay a LOT.
Insects: Bigger / rarer / faster ones are worth more. Atlas moths, Queen Alexandra birdwings, horned atlas, giraffe beetle, rainbow stags, giant stags, cyclommatus stags, golden stags, etc. Many of them are seasonal and/or only appear at night.
🐝 Wasps: Flick pays 3750 Bells per wasp. If you have at least 5-10 🌳 hardwood or 🌲 pine trees on your island you’ll get 5 wasps per day (plus 2 random pieces of furniture, and at least three 100-bell coins). Save these up for when Flick appears and you can clear 150,000 Bells per full pocket of them (40). That’s 562,500 Bells every 30 days!
Fish: Same thing, CJ will pay more for bigger / less common fish, which may only appear seasonally or at certain times of day. Summertime brings sharks in the ocean (great white, hammerhead, saw shark, whale shark, and ocean sunfish, which technically isn't a shark), the Napoleonfish, and moray eels. You can catch certain larger ones only at the pier, which requires fishing with fish bait (you can craft this from the manila clams): the blue marlin, giant trevally, mahi-mahi, and tuna. and in the rivers in summertime you can find arapaima and dorado. The sturgeon only appears at river mouths and is harder to catch (you really need to be quick to nab it), but it’s worth a lot.
The Nook twins pay more for non-native fruit. When you visit other islands via the Nook Miles Tickets or invites to visit other players’ islands, when you see fruit trees, either harvest the fruit to replant it, or eat something to get the strength to dig up entire trees to transplant them back on your island.
Once Blathers arrives, you can give him fossils to build up the Museum. Once you've completed the Fossils section of the museum, the island will still generate 4 fossils per day (and if you miss that day, it'll generate an additional 2 fossils the following day). Get them identified by Blathers and then sell them at Nook's Cranny, you'll get at least 10,000 Bells per day. Unidentified fossils aren’t worth as much.
Sell seashells. 🐚 Shells generate on the beach regularly throughout the day. Keep some for crafting, but once you’ve done most shell-based DIYs you can sell them at Nook’s Cranny.
Upgrade your storage as soon as you can afford to. Over the course of the game, Tom Nook will allow you to purchase expansions to your storage, up to 5,000 slots. Note that for DIY materials that stack, like shells, wood, minerals, weeds, vines, star fragments, snowflakes, leaves, fruit, etc, they will each occupy a slot up to their stacking level, then additional items of that type will spill over into a new slot, the same as your Pocket storage. Upgrading your storage is essential to being able to save up piles of insects and fish.
Have a “garage sale” every once in a while. You’ll get a lot of duplicate items in exchange for giving villagers gifts 🎁 and fulfilling requests. Go through your storage and clear out any duplicate colors of items, anything you have too much of, don’t wear / don’t have space for, and sell it at Nook’s Cranny. Important: Don’t sell any of the unique items that Gulliver / Gullivarrr brings you, because there’s no other way to obtain these. Only after you’ve obtained the complete list of items will he give you duplicates, so hold on to them.
Turnip prices. Playing the Stalk Market can reap rewards, but it’s not as guaranteed as the slow-and-steady approaches listed above. As in real life, only invest with money you can afford to lose.
You have six rocks on your island, and hitting each one in rapid succession with a shovel will produce up to eight items. Every day, one of them will give you about 16,000 Bells, and the other five will give you a mix of clay, stone, and iron ores (and you have a 1/100 chance of getting a Gold nugget). Save the Gold as you'll need that for Gold item crafting, but if you're already well-stocked on the ores, you can sell those to Nook's Cranny.*
Once you can visit Harv's Island, every day first thing, ask Katrina to tell you your luck. If she says your luck with money will improve, you'll get 300 Bells instead of 100 Bells when you shake a tree, and your money rock will give you an additional money bag starting from the 4th hit.
*pro tip for hitting rocks! Make sure the eight squares around the rock are clear of any items, weeds, flowers, or loose stones (more or less, there should be space for 8 items). Make sure you have either three holes in a line, or some sort of barrier or wall behind you - this can be a fence, river edge or cliff wall, too. Try to center yourself between the barrier, facing the rock, and then hit the button in rapid succession to get all 8 items. If you don't have that barrier in place, each rock hit will push you away from the rock and your chain of hits will be broken. Also, don't hit the rock while Fruit Powered or it'll break.
