A “short” acnh guide to keeping resident services in the tent and still being able to terraform and waterscape the island!🌻✨
im saying short bc its probably not gonna be as detailed as watching a video, so i’ll link to two of those as well right here - by boiscrossing and ninatries on youtube.
you need 2 switches to do this and they both need to have acnh on them! also if you dont already have a full played-on island on one of the switches, this whole thing is gonna take an even longer time tbh bc thats kinda needed..
On the first switch that already has an island:
1. create a second character on your main switch island🍃 it has to be a second character btw it cant be the resident rep
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. upgrade that new character so they have a house(any size) and keep grinding for nookmiles!!! this part is kinda boring but honestly the more you do it the more you get to enjoy bc its mostly not gonna be an option on the new island..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. get the terraforming and waterscaping, as well as anything else you might want from the nookmiles shop! you can also fill up your house/inventory with stuff bc you get to bring all that as well
4. when you are ready to move, go to the start menu and press the minus button(settings) and talk to tom nook, get ready to tell him you want to “move to a new island” and start the process
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the second switch with no island🏝️:
1. open up the start screen for a brand new island! instead of saying that you are new, you pick the option “i’m moving” when it becomes available, and then the game tells you in detail how to move on! and you can actually reroll islands, as long as the directions you get on the first island are over with👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. play the first day like you normally would on any new island, dont panic about nothing showing up, you gotta get to the “synched up with real time” place before you get all the things from your pockets and tom nook will tell you that they gotta rebuild your house or something lol i dont remember exactly but something like that
3. He gives you your little phone and thats all you need! You can get straight to filling up rivers and moving cliffs🎉
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now - how to keep resident services from upgrading? This is very easy! you just cant get anymore new villagers! sad but easy to remember! i mean maybe you could get one or even two out of the next 3 available(im not sure, i personally am just not gonna risk it) but you just cant finish that part of the early gameplay if you want the tent! you can get the shops and the museum tho if you want to! but yea otherwise its a 3 resident island(yourself included) so i would consider being very happy with the two starters you get🫶🏻⛺️

I started up ACNH last night and decided I didn’t want to restart my fantasy/D&D island after all, so I’m back to building that one! I try to make islands that are fun to visit in a dream address, so the resident services area is a modern/city section that’s blocked off from the rest of the map. I’m putting Nooks and Ables in there too, since they don’t vibe with the fantasy setting. Then there’s a little park area where it looks like a group of friends have been playing D&D. There are character sheets, the DM guide and dice scattered around…and most importantly, a warp pipe. Step into the warp and it teleports you to a ~magical realm~!
Outside in the fantasy world, the first thing you’ll encounter is a tavern, the classic first stop for a D&D campaign. Then there’s a little market selling potions, armor, general fantasy gear, transitioning over to the magic district. There is the museum, repurposed as a magic academy, with some magic specific shopping stalls, an outdoor magic class and a wizard tower.
Beyond the town, there are three adventure areas. There’s a bog full of giant spiders that leads to a witch’s hut, a full dungeon with different paths that lead to traps or treasure and end with a dragon and his gold hoard (it’s Drago,) and a chaotic, trippy little slice of the Feywild.
So. I’ve got my work cut out for me in this game.

Island Over-view
Dizzy Isle is a tight-knit island community with several lovely features, including a thriving farming community, a spacious campsite (and a mini one as well!), a cozy residential area, a gorgeous main street with shopping and a beautiful museum, and more spots to explore!
I've realistically put in well over 450+ hours designing, playing, and hunting to bring life to this little spit of land in the ocean. And it's still a work in progress! It will likely be a work in progress for a long while. (: I hope to continue to share that progress and fun here on this blog!!
Before You Follow
This blog is run by a resident service representative who is proship, inclusive of all good-faith identities, enjoys suggestive content of her residents, and considers her whole island dating (yes! even the NPCs that reside and come thru in passing >:]).
If this does not sound like your type of blog, I suggest you leave or even better, block me. I will kindly do the same to blogs I don't want to see or interact with. Minors and antis that interact with me will be blocked on sight! :P
As always, only YOU can currate your own online experience! :3c
About Spinda
Hiyaaa, I'm Spinda, the rep of the island! I'm 30, use she/her pronouns, and love ACNH! This is not my first AC game, (I have also played Pocket Camp, New Leaf and also the GameCube version!!). It is, however, my favorite by far!!
My island is a mishmash of themes and styles. It's really whatever strikes my fancy! It doesn't have a "-core" theme. Maybe "Spindacore" lmao.
I'm a prolific shipper, and I love problematic themes. I currently don't have good internet connectivity so I don't have visitors save for a select few friends now and again, but I'm hoping to have a dream address up and running eventually.
I'm very friendly, happy to lend a hand, and when possible I enjoy giving items or bells to folks who need it.
If you want to get to know me and ask AC-related questions, I'd love to have you in my inbox. Anon is always on for your comfort. ♡ (You can also ask non-AC related questions about me, of course!)

In case anyone else wants to use it, here is the link to the museum donation tracker spreadsheet I made for New Horizons based on information from various websites. I wish there were “critterpedia” versions of the art / fossil donation apps in-game, but until then I’ll settle for tracking the information this way lol

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Declassified Island Survival Guide From a Seasoned AC Veteran
A friend of mine recently bought ACNH and was very confused as this was her first foray into AC, so I made this info dump guide. I thought somebody else in the world might be able to benefit from it as well. Hope you enjoy! Happy Animal Crossing-ing!
Daily Tasks:
Talk to your islanders. talking to them, completing favors, and giving them gifts will increase your friendship level. Don’t forget to check up on villagers that are inside their houses! They might be crafting a DIY and they will give you the recipe if you talk to them!
Shopping. Everyday the items in the shops will change, this include the items on the nook store, accessible through the Nook Kiosk in town hall/the tent in the plaza
Log on to the Nook Kiosk every day for free nook miles!!!
Walk your beaches. You’ll find shells, and a message in a bottle with a DIY will spawn every day.
Watering flowers. Watering your flowers will lead to hybrids growing. this is how you get colors of flowers such as purple and orange, etc. If it rains, you don’t have to water the flowers, but if you do, then you have a higher chance of hybrids growing.
Money Rock. Every day there will be a money rock. hit it with your ax or shovel (I use the shovel) for cash. Don’t forget to dig a barricade behind yourself to keep you from sliding so you can get all 8 hits in.
Money tree. Every day there will be a glowing fissure on the ground. Dig it up and you’ll find bells. HOWEVER DO NOT FILL THE HOLE. Instead, bury bells there. This will result in a nursery money tree growing. Trees take 4 days to grow. IMPORTANT AND I DIDN’T KNOW THIS AT FIRST money trees will only grow money once, so after you’ve collected the bells, it’s just a regular tree. I personally have four money trees with one being used and then replaced every day for an endless loop. However many bells you bury is how much money will grow X3, however keep in mind that sometimes it will only grow bags of 10,000 bells, despite planting more than that. To be safe, never go above 50,000 bells, as the likelihood of not getting back what you buried seems to increase after that, but do whatever you’re comfortable with.
Fossils. Everyday you will see star-shaped markings on the ground throughout your island. Those markings indicate that a fossil is buried in that spot. Dig it up! Then, (once he is unlocked on your island which shouldn’t be too far off) take your fossils to Blathers at the museum to get them assessed. He will tell you what the fossil is. From there they can be donated to the museum if it doesn’t have that fossil yet, or if you already have it you can place it on your island or you can sell it. ALWAYS GET YOUR FOSSILS ASSESSED BEFORE SELLING THEM. An unidentified fossil is only worth a few hundred bells, where an identified fossil is worth a varying couple thousand depending on what it is. There will be 4, sometimes 5, fossils to find on your island everyday.
Catch bugs and fish! bugs and fish spawn throughout your island everyday all day. Different bugs and fish have different conditions for spawning. Some spawn all day in any weather, some only can appear at night, others only during the day. Certain fish only are catchable in the rain. Also most bugs and fish are seasonal, with new bugs and fish being able to be caught every month. Donate your fish and bugs to Blathers to fill up your museum, and sell the rest! It’s one of the main ways to make money.
Dive for scallops! Go swimming and dive for sea critters. If you catch a scallop and you have space in you pockets, Pascal the otter will spawn and ask you for it. In return he will give you either a pearl or a special DIY recipe. He will spawn once a day. Also the critters you catch can be donated to the museum and also sold.
Not daily tasks:
* Potential weekly visitors include Leif, Kicks, Sahara, Flick, C.J., Gulliver, Gulllivar, Label, and Redd. Characters that can be found on the Plaza are Leif, Kicks, and Label. Leif is a sloth who will sell you plants, Kicks is a skunk who will sell you bags and shoes, and Label is a hedgehog who will ask you for fashion help. Characters that can be found wandering around your island are Sahara, Flick, and C.J. Sahara is a camel who will sell floorings, wallpapers, and rugs, Flick is a chameleon who you can sell bugs to, and C.J. is a beaver you can sell fish to. Both Flick and C.J. will buy their respective creatures for a higher price than the Nooklings will so it may be a good idea to save your bugs and fish for when they visit to make bank XD. Another character that you will initially find wandering around your island is Redd. Redd is fox who you will unlock later after you have donated enough stuff to your museum. Once you have, you will see him wandering around your island. Talk to him, and then the next day his boat will appear at your secret beach which is the tiny stretch of beach off by itself. Redd will sell you art work which can be donated to your museum. BE CAREFUL Redd will sell fake artwork!!! You can only donate real artwork, so choose wisely, as one player can only purchase one piece of art per Redd visit. Other players can purchase one piece of art from him too though. Gulliver and Gullivar are seagulls you will find washed up on your beach. Talk to them or hit them with a net until they wake up (just keep at it!) Talk to them and they will explain what you need to do for them. If you complete the task, you can expect a letter and a gift from them in the mail the following day. You will get one of these visiting characters everyday save for when K.K. Slider is in town. They are random, but characters that did not make an appearance one week are more likely to show up the next.
if you’re early enough in the game that the clothing store is still a visiting event, One day you’ll walk into the Nooklings and see a Hedgehog. After that, the hedgehog will be selling clothes in the plaza on random days. After I think 3 visits she will ask you about setting up a permanent shop. After that, this is store you can buy clothes from, clothes change every day so check often!
General tips:
Don’t sprint near water if you are looking for fish. Sprinting will scare the fish away.
Just regular running and walking will scare away bugs that spawn on trees, stumps, and flowers, so proceed with caution when hunting for bugs. When holding a bug net, hold down A while you walk to creep towards bugs without scaring them away. Release A to swing your net. Bugs like butterflies, dragonflies, and bugs that spawn on the ground will not disappear when scared, they will just try to get away.
Fishing tip if you find yourself struggling: it’s easy to get trigger happy when fishing. Something I do to make it easier is closing my eyes and relying on the rumble of the joy con and the sound of the of the bite. You register sound better than you do visual cues. This is how I catch all fish cause I get to nervous and anticipate bites.
If a villager has a thought bubble above their head, TALK TO THEM! They have something important to say! They either are thinking about moving (which you can encourage or tell them to stay) or want to give you something.
The same goes for if a villager runs towards you calling your name to get your attention. They either have a reaction to teach you, or a gift!
Don’t be upset with your island layout. Eventually you will unlock terraforming which will allow you to destroy and create rivers, cliffs, and pathways anywhere you want. The only thing you cannot change is the plaza, and the mouths of your rivers. You can also build inclines and bridges, and move the museum, shops, campsite, and houses, at any time so long as you have the bells. You can only build one bridge or incline a day though, and the same goes for moving buildings.
Eating fruit will give you strength. With that strength, you can destroy rocks by hitting them with your shovel or ax (they will respawn in a different location the next day) and pick up entire trees with your shovel.
a stone axe will allow you to hit a tree indefinitely, but just an iron Axe will cut down the tree in 3 hits, so don’t farm for wood with the iron Axe! also you can remove stumps with your shovel
when filling a hole, press Y to use your foot to cover the hole instead of using your shovel. This will increase the longevity of your shovel.
BE CAREFUL WHEN SHAKING TREES!!! There is a chance of a wasp nest falling! If that happens, wasps will chase you and try to sting you. You can catch the wasps with a bug net, or you can run into a building to get them to stop chasing you. If they sting you, use some medicine to heal yourself. If you get stung a second time before using medicine, you will pass out and wake up in front of your house.
IF YOU ARE GOING TREE SHAKING have the net equipped and shake the tree from the front. If a wasp nest falls, it will fall to either side of you (or right on top of you but it doesn’t matter.) Your character will turn to face the wasps. Immediately after your shocked animation, swing your net to catch the wasps.
2 items will spawn in 2 random, non-fruit-baring trees on your island everyday. Shake trees (with a net equipped in case of wasps!) and there’s a chance an item leaf will drift down.
On mystery islands there will be 1 item in a non-fruit-baring tree. Same tactics suggested as seen above
Don’t be afraid of spiders and scorpions.  They will only try to bite/sting you if you are holding a bug net, otherwise they will ignore you. You should try to catch them if you are comfortable doing so though, as you can donate them to the museum and you can sell them (they are expensive! more so if you sell them to Flick!) Just creep up to them slowly and you’ll catch them just fine.
Depending on the season, there will be some special materials floating around your island that you can catch with your bug net. This include snowflakes in the winter and cherry tree petals in the spring. I assume there might be some falling leaves in autumn, but I haven’t experienced autumn in the game yet so I can’t say for sure.
To raise your island’s star level, there are two major things to do. One, put flowers freaking everywhere. Two, put furniture FREAKING EVERYWHERE. your beaches, your plains, your mountains, DECORATE EVERYWHERE!!!!
Every sunday before noon, there will be a little piglet girl walking around your island. She is selling turnips. This is the way to MAKE BANK in Animal Crossing. the turnips are meant to be sold in The Stalk Market (get it?). Everyday (save for sunday) you will be able to sell your turnips to the Nooklings. The price of the turnips changes twice a day every day, the change occurs at noon. the idea is to buy turnips low and sell turnips high. the buying price of turnips will range from around 90 to 110 bells every week. The selling price will range from like 30 bells to like 700 something. Obviously, the higher the better. IMPORTANT! Turnips go bad after one week, upon which they are worthless. Make sure to sell your turnips before the next sunday!! However I would allow one stack of turnips to go bad once as this is how you catch ants. Drop the rotten turnips outside and ants will spawn on it. The same goes for catching flies, just drop some trash outside. BUT DON’T LEAVE THE TRASH FOREVER it will lower the star rating of your island.
Never sell things to the Nooklings via the drop box unless you have to. Selling via drop box comes with a like 15% reduction on the sell price, so you won’t get as many bells as you would if you sell to the Nooks by talking to them.
Day resets at 5 AM, not midnight, so don’t panic if you need to complete something by the end of the day and it’s almost 12.
Your villagers will teach you reactions. Aside from the 4 defaults you start with, The reactions you can learn are divided up amongst the villager types. For example, from a Normal type villager, you can learn Pleased, Fearful, Sadness, and Glee. Additionally, a villager will teach you one extra reaction if you max out your friendship level with them. If you’re best friends with a Normal type villager, they will teach you Daydreaming. So if you wanna unlock all 44 reactions, it’s important to get villagers of all different types and befriend them!
Dropping items of any kind will lower the star rating of your island if there are too many things on the ground. This includes turnips unfortunately -_-
Giving villagers gifts increase your relationship with them. But, if you wrap the gift before giving it to them, your relationship will increase by an additional point. Color of the paper doesn’t matter as far as I can tell.
Villagers have preferred styles and colors of clothing. You can give them whatever you want, but they will particularly enjoy items that match their preferred style and colors. Villagers also really appreciate gifts on their birthday! You will be notified via the notification board in the plaza about a week in advance of a villagers birthday
See a yellow bird (daytime) or an owl (nighttime) sitting on top of your notification board in the plaza? That means there’s a new post on the board! Go read it!
Holidays occur in animal crossing too! Holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, New Years, and many others have Animal Crossing equivalents. Special events and items can be experienced and obtained on these days, so make sure to check in! You should also check in on YOUR birthday ;)
All in all, Animal Crossing is what you want it to be. This is just one way of playing. You can focus on whatever you wanna focus on, and do whatever you want to do. I just went crazy covering all the bases. I’m here if you have more questions. I hope you have loads of fun!
If you’re interested in keeping track of all the stuff you have, there is a free app called ACNH Guide. It can help you keep track of what bugs and fish and fossils you have and also what bugs and fish are currently available and where to find them. You can also log items and DIYs and music and what villagers you have and mark off the rocks you’ve hit, the money tree you have planted, and the bottled message. It can also help you keep track of what days the visiting characters come. It also has a built in turnip predictor which can help you make the most money that you can! And they are adding to the app all the time. I really recommend it if you want to keep track of all the craziness.

ACNH Guide by an AC Newbie
Planning / Decorating Your Island
you might see a lot not to worry about placement of houses or buildings because you can change it later. while this is true, moving things is expensive and takes a LOT of time. so at least try to space them in a way that isn’t too cluttered (a good rule of thumb is don’t stick everything behind/right next to resident services unless you want it to be there a WHILE
getting a 5 star island doesn’t require placing random objects everywhere. i got mine by accident just by creating little hang out areas and cute spots for fun. so take your time and build your island the way you want!
it is easy to get overwhelmed looking at all the aesthetic island posts online which makes it harder to focus on what YOU want. a good starting place is to pick a general feel for your island. are you wanting more of a natural, spread out feel? a modern, urban getaway? a super tropical paradise? a fandom-based escape? keeping a general idea in mind can help when decorating.
Harvesting Materials / Getting Items
when harvesting materials, dig three holes behind you when hitting rocks to get 6-8 materials in stead of three. you can shake trees indefinitely for branches.
every day you can harvest 3 bundles of wood from each tree, up to 9 materials from each rock, find one DIY bottle on the beach, 4 fossils, and shake 1-2 items from trees.
when shaking trees for items or branches, always stand directly in front of the tree with a net equipped. if a wasp nest falls out, your villager will automatically face it with a look of terror. click a and you should catch them with no stings ^u^
additionally, you can always get extra materials going on nook miles tours. you also have the chance to shake out an extra item on the island from trees without fruit.
be careful shooting down balloons over flowers/highly decorate areas. if there is no open square (with no flowers, furniture, etc) for the present to land on, it will glitch and disappear.
you can always buy new items/clothing from nook’s cranny and able sisters. nook’s cranny closes at 10 p.m. and able sisters closes at 9 p.m.
if you want duplicates of items you’ve already had, order up to 5 of them using the terminal in customer services.
***specific note, you have to register songs for radios, cassette players, etc. i honestly thought this meant finding a way to transfer real songs but NOPE. there are adorable K.K. tracks you can buy each day from the terminal under nook shopping. it’s always at the bottom for special items.
Villagers
there are 8 personalities for villagers.
females: normal, sisterly, snooty, and peppy
males: lazy, cranky, smug, and jock
everyone starts with a combination of sisterly and jock.
when you eventually get to search for villagers, feel free to be a little picky. find ones you vibe with. i didn’t realize that there are over 400 potential friends out there when i first started looking.
it fun to see how different personalities interact, so i do recommend giving all of them a try. but find your own balance that fits you. love the jocks? get 7! want all normals? do it! can’t stand peps? it’s ok!
don’t ask nook to sell plots of land UNLESS you have the nook miles to get plenty of tickets to fill them. otherwise, the house will automatically be sold to a random villager the next day. (or, if you like to have fate pick for you, go wild and sell as many as you want!)
coaxing a villager to move out doesn’t have to be cruel. i honestly can’t smack my little animal friends with nets and the posts calling them ugly or trapping them in cages or fences makes me sad. just don’t talk to them often and they’ll decide to go when they’re ready.
alternatively, you can get villagers to leave via amiibo or camper. my understanding is with amiibos you can pick who you want to leave. with campers, they pick a random villager to go talk to. if you wanted a different animal to move out, press the home button on your switch, then close the game by clicking x. you might lose a bit of saved time, but should be able to speak with the camper again to try for a different villager.
Being a Good Friend
want your villager to know how much you love them? talk to them every day.
after a few days, you will unlock the option to give them a gift. i love giving mine clothing. note, for the most part villagers cannot wear pants, socks, or shoes. so i wouldn’t recommend them as gifts, though your villagers will still appreciate the thought
send letters. in the airport there is a letter kiosk. you can send a note to your villagers with a gift each day.
DIYS
at first, you can get large amounts of DIYs by attending nook’s workshops and buying DIY packs at nook’s cranny. soon, there will be no more packs to buy, in which case you can get new DIYs the following ways
bottled messages wash up on the beach once each day
shooting down balloons
Several villagers each day will be using their DIY bench at home. speak to them to receive the recipe for what they are making
when visiting mystery islands, bottled messages can wash up on shore. it doesn’t happen every time
Making Money
catching bugs and fish can bring in lots of bells! however, some are worth way more than others. looking up a guide for prices isn’t a bad idea, but it’s your call!
ALSO! there are npcs called flick and cj who buy bugs and fish respectively at higher rates. if you have the storage or don’t mind a mountain of tanks and cages, you can save your critters for these visitors. just keep in mind it might be a while between visits.
hunting and fishing not your thing? try being a DIY guru. gather materials and go crazy. build a ton of stuff and sell it to the nooklings for profit
blathers already has the fossils you dug up today? sell the duplicate fossils for a nice payday.
play the stalk market to try and make bank! every sunday daisy mae visits til 12 p.m. to sell turnips. buy as many as you can and sell them when the prices go up. note, you do risk losing money as prices won’t always be in your favor. additionally, if you keep the turnips til the next sunday they will rot.
Having Fun
do it your way. really. that’s the advice. you might prefer to spend all day harvesting and fishing. that’s so cool. you might prefer to build endless projects and redecorate every day. completely valid. maybe you just wanna chill with your animal friends and aren’t in any hurry to decorate. that’s an amazing plan!
that said, here are some things to do if you aren’t sure where to start.
place a radio next to the plaza. enjoy listening to your villagers sing.
follow a villager throughout the day to catch them napping, chasing bugs, snacking, and otherwise being adorable
look at the nook miles+ tasks for the day and complete them all
look at your DIY catalog and build an area based on what you have. parks, restaurants, cafes, and item stalls tend to be easiest at the beginning and you can always change it later if it no longer fits
visit your museum exhibits and really take your time. it is a very soothing place
try your hand at designing your own outfit using a custom design
if you have nintendo online, visit a friend’s island and play hide and seek, buried treasure, or have a fashion show!

☆ pairing: shigaraki x reader
☆ summary: it’s your league-iversary and shiggy has a surprise :)
It had been three years since you joined the league and you were certain no one would remember your league-iversary. After all, you never made a big deal out of it and avoided mentioning it. The memory of League rescuing you all those years ago is not one of your favorites.
You had just graduated from the hero course and got a spot in one of the best agencies in all of Japan. You got to work under the #2 hero as one of his sidekicks. However, you would soon learn it wasn’t what you were expecting at all. The heroes here weren’t exactly heroic, choosing which crimes to pursue and who to help depending on how much media coverage they would get. All that mattered was your rank. This led you to become disillusioned with hero society. Was this really what I trained for all this time? One night, while scrolling on the internet, you stumbled upon a video with Stain’s beliefs, something you’d never thought you’d agree with. However, it all made sense.
Eventually, you tried to take matters into your own hands. You planned to take your agency’s files and release them to the public, endangering undercover operations and the lives of many heroes. At this point, you didn’t really care. They’re doing it for fame anyway, you thought. You infiltrated the office, but your ex-coworkers quickly noticed something fishy was going on. Right as you were about to be caught, ending your career as a villain before it even started, black mist encompassed the room and you were transported to the League’s base. Over the next three years, these people, who you once believed to be heartless criminals with no morals, would become you new family.
As you reminisced about the start of your adventure, you could start to see sunlight coming from the slightly ajar window. You sat up from your bed and placed your feet on the cold floor. Today was meant to be a quiet day. The League didn’t have any mischievous plans and the heroes hadn’t bothered them for a while. On days like these everyone does their own thing, and everyone gets to bond. Jin, Toga, and Dabi usually hang out and play board games, much to Dabi’s dismay; Spinner and Compress watch and critique movies; and Shigaraki and Kurogiri play video games. In reality, Shigaraki was the only one playing videogames. Kurogiri just kept him company while he watched. You switched between the three groups depending on the day, you loved how, although you all had your different interests, you could bond over silly things like games and movies.
You walked over to the couch in the center of the room and sat down next to Shigaraki. Kurogiri took this action as his cue to leave. At this point, it was impossible to deny the feelings you had developed for your fellow League member. After everything you had gone through together, you were sure of your feelings but never had enough courage to confess. Thankfully, although they don’t like to admit it, most of the League is completely oblivious to details, and after all this time, only two people caught onto your feelings. Kurogiri, who never mentioned anything until you asked him why he always left you and Shigaraki alone, and Dabi, who you confided in after a long night of talking.
You made sure to leave enough space between you and Shigaraki to fit a small cat. Once Kurogiri knew about your feelings, he explained that the reason Shigaraki keeps most people away is because he could never forgive himself if he accidentally activated his quirk around one of the League’s members. You waited patiently in silence for Shigaraki to finish his opponent in smash. It was a known rule that one should wait for Shigaraki to finish whatever match he’s playing, for if you didn’t, he would lose and that came with even worse repercussions.
“Three years, huh?” Shigaraki said with a soft smile, not taking his eyes off the game.
“You remembered?”
“Of course, how could I ever forget the moment I met my favorite member?”
You could feel your heart pulsating behind your eyes, his favorite member? That couldn’t be right. He finished his opponent off with rapid, constant pressing of the buttons and turned to face you, his eyes were squinting a bit while he gave you a closed-lip smile.
“What do you wanna play, y/n?”
Although he claimed he was a hardcore gamer, you knew he was secretly obsessed with Animal Crossing.
“I could show you my Animal Crossing town, I bet my town is prettier than yours,” you knew that by challenging him would certainly make him want to play
“That’s a lost bet y/n, I am a master at Animal Crossing.”
“You can’t be a master, you’ve only been playing for the past few months.”
“Just wait and see.”
He pulls out his cartridge and you pull your console out, loading the game you’ve been working on perfecting since before you even joined the League. You had the Beautiful Town Ordinance and had built most Public Work Projects, there was no way he could beat you at this. That was until you actually saw his town. Shigaraki had the most intricate town you had ever seen. It was Japanese themed, and he managed to remodel the Town Hall and the train station. He had laid down paths and completed all the stores in Main Street. His museum was full, he had all the fruits, native and non-native, and even his villagers were perfect.
“H-how did you manage to make all your villagers cats?” you choked out, flabbergasted at how wrong you were.
“I traded my old villagers online, noob.”
It was an understatement to say that you were jealous and embarrassed. The town you had been working so hard on all this time was not even comparable to the one Shigaraki operated. You had been trying to get rid of annoying villagers like Vladimir and Webber for years, and he got all your favorites in mere months! He even had Chief, who had always been your favorite.
“You win Shigaraki,” you muttered with your head down, looking defeated; although not for long, for you challenged Shigaraki to play the island games with you. Your refined expertise thanks to years’ worth of practice would certainly give you an advantage.
If it weren’t for the real-time mechanisms of the game, you two would’ve never noticed it was already dark out.
“Don’t you love how the game changes with time?” you asked with a shy smile, getting to spend all day playing games with Shigaraki was not an everyday occurrence.
“Not really, it makes it harder to see and I have to turn the brightness up,” disagreed Shigaraki.
“But look,” you pointed at the screen, today seemed to be a really special day, “we got a meteor shower.”
Before you could say anything else, you could feel four fingers pulling at your wrist.
“I’ll show you something cooler, close your eyes.”
You let out a quiet okay while you stumbled to your feet and let yourself be dragged. You walked carefully up some stairs and then heard a heavy lock open, followed by the creak of a bulky metal door. Shigaraki guided you forward by your waist until you touched a cold, metal handrail. He gently pushed your forehead down, making you look up.
“Open your eyes.”
As you did, you could see the sky littered with glowing white dots, accompanied by a full moon on the side. After taking in such a sight, you turned to Shigaraki who hadn’t let go of your waist. Behind him, there was a massive cherry blossom tree. His skin was glowing under the moon and you wondered if this was the right moment. Shigaraki pointed at the sky.
“You see that group of stars over there?”
“Yeah, isn’t that Ophiuchus?”
“Maybe,” said Shigaraki with a chuckle; “I like to call it angry Kurogiri.”
You burst out laughing. It does look like an angry version of Kurogiri with his hands on his hips, staring you down in disappointment.
“If that’s angry Kurogiri then this one over here is Toga when she sees that one UA student.”
“Fair, and that one over there is Kirby with his mouth open.”
As you continued to rename famous constellations, your gazed slowly shifted to Shiggy. His crimson eyes were shining with happiness. It was a rare sight to see him so lively outside of accomplishing a mission. He looks back at you and you couldn’t help but blush. A shy smile taking place. You look away, trying not to think about it. Where we having a moment? No, you couldn’t have, Shigaraki doesn’t do relationships._ But what if…_
The two of you continued gazing at the stars and next thing you knew your shoulders were touching. You look back at him and he takes your hands, making sure to keep his pinkies up.
“Shiggy? What are you doing?”
“Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”
With that, he softly lets go of one of your hands and carefully places it on your chin, bringing it up so that your lips meet his. You felt like a firework show was going on inside you. As you separated, you slowly opened your closed eyes and saw that the cold night wind blew the pink sakura flowers in a way that they flew around you. It felt like a stereotypical shoujo manga scene, but you couldn’t care less. You softly caressed his face, surprised at his actions.
“Tomura.”
When you said his name, you could see the glint in his scarlet eyes deepen, prompting you to kiss him back. This time, it lasted longer, and you could feel his rough lips against your soft ones. He let go of your other hand and placed it on your waist, pulling you closer until you were completely pressed against him. You could feel his rapid heartbeat, and he could feel yours. The rush of adrenaline and happiness you were feeling made you wish the moment would never end, but you separated, pulling for air. As you looked into his crimson eyes, with your body completely pressed against his, he opened his mouth to speak.
“Will you be my player two?”

Hey I love your ACNH stuff! Just got my switch 3 days ago, any tips for a new player?
Aww, thank you !! ;;
And sure!
Don't be like me and constantly buy flowers starting out because it's a nightmare to dig up when you ACTUALLY get around to renovating your island.
Scorpions & Tarantulas sell for big bells -- but they also can't cross holes. The shovel is your best friend, and the rivers / lakes / oceans are your enemy bc sometimes the bugs just yeet themselves in there. Make sure you make a full square too! They can cross diagonal spaces. Don't move when the Tarantula is standing up, & don't move when the Scorpion raises its claws! Obliterate everything on Nook Miles islands to turn it into the respective islands (bamboo island is best for this), divide it up into sections so they can't catch you, and catch as many as you can. Save them to sell them to Flick if you can! He buys them for +50% than Nook's Cranny would.
Alternatively, with sharks being around, if you want to farm for sharks (running up and down the beach, scaring away smaller fish -- unless u wanna catch them -- until you hit the tail fins!), save them for CJ! He'll buy them for +%50 like Flick.
THE CRITTERPEDIA WILL TELL YOU IF YOU'VE DONATED TO BLATHERS. The initial message after catching a fish/insect will also tell you whether you've caught that creature yet!
Pls use art guides if u wanna buy from Redd. He's crafty this time.
You have like 5 rocks on your island and while you can hit them for resources, one of them you can also hit for money! Just make sure you hit them consecutively to get the most resources (you can do that by again, digging holes behind yourself in an L-shape).
Some people go for the turnip market. You can buy turnips from Daisy Mae on Sundays. Don't time travel backwards with turnips! You'll rot them. Selling prices change everyday at Nook's Cranny with different patterns; pretty sure there's calculators online that'll help if you want to figure out when's best to sell them! They'll rot the next Sunday otherwise.
Craft any weeds you have ingame into leaf umbrellas. They'll sell for a lot more than the weeds themselves! Check out Hot items too to see if you have any spare resources so you can craft items for Timmy and Tommy.
Run into a building - museum is best bc no door - if wasps are chasing you! They're also scared of party poppers & won't attack you if you sit on a tree stump funnily enough. Calling for rescue will also ward them off!
uhh thats some stuff! there's probably a bunch of guides online that can help! I'm still learning myself.
