Many artists love acrylic pouring. I too like the random effects which occur with it, but the results of the pouring alone are not so satisfying to me, so I mainly use the technique as foundation layer and build up some structure on it afterwards.
I was thinking about how to pack all of these paintings I have lying around, and then I thought it would be smarter to actually sell them, given how little space I'm going to have in the new apartment. An artist friend even recommended a shipping platform to me where parcels can be picked up at my home, which honestly is the main reason I didn't want to sell physical items currently. Looking into it this morning and it seems really promising.
I have acrylic pet paintings (dogs, horse), watercolor ones (small dogs), a charcoal piece (lion) and a few acrylic pouring pieces (some varnished, some unvarnished/ raw). Here's some of them:
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that someone liked my stuff enough to want to show it in their homes, much less buy it from me. With actual money. Like what even?
I made them for a colleague from work, she picked the size, colors, and style, and then let me have fun with it, and I think it turned out great, I've included close-ups of some pretty nice details 💜
Below are two pics she sent me showing how she hung the paintings in her apartment:
This is my first try in acrylic pouring. I consider it a failure, because the paint mixes too much and there are a lot of crumbles. But I'm confident as I practice more I will get a result close to what I imagine.
It's been a whole year since I last posted fluid art and I was really in the mood for it today, so these happened 😀 Spent half the day on them and I'm not feeling completely exhausted and sick, which is absolutely amazing! It's so good to see I'm still getting better, no matter how slowly. This really gives me hope that with some luck I could be back to my old self by the end of the year or so. ✨ Also it's nice to do art things, and things in general at my own slow pace 🥰
The two larger ones are flip cups, while the three smaller ones are dipped to make use of what's been dripping from the other ones.
