How Far We’ve Come

Sasuke nuzzled deep into the musky warm sweetness that was his lover’s scent as they cuddled on his couch. Naruto returned the favor by burying his face into Sasuke’s long straight dark hair and laid a kiss there, smelling deeply. There, Sasuke had a scent that was somewhere between spicy and astringent. “You smell nice, baby,” Naruto cooed in a way that made Sasuke roll his eyes and ignore his endearing idiocy for the television. They were watching some episodes of the first show they had ever performed in together, Naruto. It had been a while since they had done that.

They had reached a climactic trio of episodes that would ultimately lead to Sasuke’s hiatus in the show. Sasuke thought back on how worried he was back then. He genuinely believed that the hiatus would ruin any chance he had at Naruto and yet, there he was smooching all over his head and humming contently with him in his arms. He’d really been worried for nothing, but back then, it felt like everything to him.

“You did your own stunts for these episodes,” Naruto whispered, watching their younger selves clashing on the screen. His lips curled playfully. “Were you trying to impress me?”

Sasuke blushed deeply. Naruto had him pegged perfectly. “I-”

“You were, weren't you!”

Sasuke kept watching– silently. His thoughts were loud though. He and Naruto both knew that putting his body at risk wasn’t a part of Sasuke’s normal method. Sasuke had taken a page out of both Naruto and his character’s book in order to try to convey his feelings during the many shoots that encompassed the fight at The Valley of the End.

“Well, it worked,” Naruto admitted.

Sasuke jolted and looked at Naruto with surprise. “It did?” He asked.

Naruto’s face grinned at him; he’d aged quite a bit since those shoots, but he was still very handsome to Sasuke even with his thinning blond hair. “Yeah, it did! You were awesome! I’d never seen someone take my method so seriously before! I kept thinking about it all the time!” He exclaimed.

Sasuke felt his heart throb. He was pulled back suddenly to his teenage days when all he wanted was his chance at Naruto. He’d been so naive back then– just like his character and for once, Sasuke felt like the idiot.

Then he remembered, he had Naruto– all of Naruto. He paused the show and threw himself on top of his dumbfounded lover. Their lips crashed into one another, and Naruto moaned into Sasuke’s mouth eagerly.

When he pulled away, Naruto was breathless, but not breathless enough. “Choke me,” he whispered and waited impatiently for his lover to oblige. When he wasn’t fast enough, he begged, “pleeeeease!” sending chills up Sasuke’s spine.

Sasuke couldn’t deny him after that. He wrapped his smaller hands around Naruto’s thick neck and squeezed; it was a familiar feeling by now; they’d been together for over a decade. “You’re such a dirty idiot,” he degraded, knowing it would only excite Naruto more.

It worked. Naruto bucked up at him predictably. The rest of the episode would have to wait. They wanted each other, now.

Hello! Daydreams for a summary of actorverse. Can u send a synopsis? Loads of affection!

Hi there :D Thanks again for your Ao3 comment and for your continued interest in my little story!

Regarding Happily Ever After...Maybe (which is the sequel to my Xavierine/Cherik actorsverse fic From Lovers to Friends and Back Again), here's the original summary:

Logan and Charles are finally together, after ten years of going back and forth and back again. Now the studio wants Charles and his ex-lover Erik Lehnsherr to make a sequel to the Academy Award winning ’First Class’, and with a part tailor-made for Logan too.

Add in a new studio head who just wants to dominate Awards Season, a talented if slightly crazy director, and a pitched battle on social media between their respective fanbases and the shoot for ’Days of Future Past’ is guaranteed to be one giant shit show.

So the first two chapters basically sets up the story, which is that the studio is finally ordering a sequel to Charles and Erik's smash hit 'First Class', and they're both contractually obligated to return. There's also a part written by the screenwriter specifically for Logan, and Charles and Raven convinces him to take the role for reasons (they get to play lovers in the sequel, its a prestige film - the first one won Charles an Oscar - and the script has a scene where he gets to punch Erik in the face lol). So he agrees even if he's still concerned for Charles, because he knows how difficult it will be for his boyfriend to have to work with his ex again.

!!! SPOILERS INCOMING !!!

In broad strokes, the rest of the fic basically takes Logan and Charles to New Zealand, where they begin work with multi-award winning director Sebastian Shaw on the sequel. Charles reprises his role as a teacher - now headmaster - at a private school in 1912 where he is in a secret love affair with the school's groundskeeper (played by Logan). The plot of 'Days of Future Past' is essentially a love triangle, where Erik's teacher character returns to the school after having left 10 years ago (at the end of FC). The shoot starts off reasonably well, with Charles and Erik maintaining a professional if cool distance when they're not on set/shooting scenes. But then things rapidly begin to go off the rails when Shaw starts making changes, pushing the writer to beef up the interaction between Charles and Erik's characters for the sake of 'story' when really he's hoping that sparks will fly again and give him a better movie. There's shenanigans, and poor Charles ends up falling into a pond that inspires Shaw to insert a 'dripping wet coming out of the water' scene like the one in Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth's Darcy, and the shoot is just super chaotic because Shaw is crazy (but brilliant and demanding) and everyone is on pins and needles waiting for things between Charles and Erik to boil over. Only what happens is what Logan was afraid of in the first place, that being in close proximity again, playing the same characters as they did when they fell in love in the first place is making the UST ramp up and those feelings resurface (even as Charles denies feeling anything for Erik, and that he can handle the increasing number of love/sex scenes being added into the script for them). Things come to a head when Logan realizes from watching them together that they have SO MANY unresolved feelings, and ends up breaking things off with Charles so he can figure out what he really wants, once and for all.

In the meantime, social media goes absolutely bonkers over every set pic that gets leaked, and fans are losing it over Team Charles/Erik vs. Team Charles/Logan online (the media gets in on it too of course). And we finally find out the reason(s) why they broke up in the first place, which is a combination of a) them falling hard and fast before realizing they were fundamentally different people with very different backgrounds and motivations, b) professional jealousy and differences over why they chose acting as careers and finally c) Erik stealing Charles' agent Azazel because he wanted the best in the industry to help him get the awards recognition he craved.

Of course in the end, Charles chooses Logan, and they live 'happily ever after' again :D

“Fine, I’ll do it, but don’t you dare laugh at me.” Her cheeks are flushed pink from laughter herself, so he thinks that’s a bit hypocritical of her, but he’s not going to call her on it.

It’s late, and he really should have left dinner long ago-he rarely even comes to cast dinners, and when he does, he makes his escape as quickly as possible-but he finds himself leaning back in his seat, watching Abigail make her way to the stage.

As a rule, he loathes karaoke. It’s loud, for one, and generally unpleasant to listen to. But she’s excited, almost giddy, and a smile tugs at his lips.

She opens her mouth, and, to his surprise, she’s actually... Good. More than good, actually; she sounds beautiful, and she brings the same energy to the song that she brings to every other part of her life. (The energy she brings to his life, and he can’t even begin to decide how he feels about that.)

A chuckle draws Nikola’s gaze reluctantly from Abby. John Druitt watches him, brow arched.

“Apparently, she needn’t have worried about you laughing.”

Of all the people to notice his-his-whatever it is (it isn’t a crush, for goodness’ sake; he isn’t some schoolboy pining away for the cheerleader, after all), Druitt has to be the worst. It’s time for damage control.

“Yes, well, she’s actually halfway decent. Unlike you, as I recall.”

This distracts most of the cast, mostly younger actors awestruck by the idea of the great John Druitt singing karaoke. But John-and perhaps more unsettlingly, Helen-just look at him with knowing eyes, and Nikola huffs.

Whatever; he turns pointedly back to the stage, where Abigail is singing out a chorus he doesn’t recognize, hair hanging loosely by her face.

He doesn’t smile, but he thinks about it.

It’s Just a Bit

“It’s just for a scene,” Sasuke told himself as he lay in his plush bed surrounded by many pillows. “We’re almost done with this movie.” He clutched one tightly with his arms and legs, imagining it as the object of his current obsession, Naruto Uzumaki. “We’ll never see her again.” He thought, but there was a burning jealousy seething inside him.

Yukie Fujikaze was a beautiful dark-haired woman with skin like porcelain. She was also a talented actress– one that many in Sasuke’s profession looked up to. This included his long-time coworker, Naruto, who for the sake of a bit, had taken a nap on set after being patched up from his stunts. While he snored away, she approached him, kissing his left cheek gently for a photo.

Naruto would have loved to have been awake for it. That idea only made Sasuke’s bitter resentment grow deeper. This wasn’t the first time he’d felt this way though.

After years of working with the dimwitted goofball that Naruto was, Sasuke had grown inexplicably yet undeniably attached. He didn’t understand why, but whenever anyone strayed too close to his orange glowing ball of sunshine, he despised it. Naruto was his–only his. Sasuke had it bad for the little idiot.

He couldn’t tell him that though. They were just kids and Naruto was a guy like him. Not only that, but Naruto very obviously liked girls.

This was only made more obvious by how Naruto reacted to the candid photo– blushing like a schoolgirl at the idea of being kissed in such an unflattering state. Sasuke didn’t think of it as unflattering though. He considered the image of his beaten blond drooling and snoring away to be quite endearing. The only unflattering part was that stranger kissing him.

If only it could have been him. He would have kissed him better. He would have sat in bed with him afterwards and held his hand. They would have joked around and laughed together.

Sasuke thought back to the early days of shooting with Naruto. They were both talented in their own right, but they were strangers to each other then. He remembered when the idea for them to kiss on camera was pitched. Naruto was super excited. “Such a cool idea, right?” Naruto asked him, getting far too close. “I mean, what other rivals get to kiss, y’know?”

Sasuke gave in to Naruto’s ecstatic passion that day. The kiss was brief, harsh, and not very pleasant, but it awoke something in Sasuke. His character may have wanted to surpass Naruto, but he, simply wanted him. He just didn’t know how to say it.

So he didn’t. He just let his desire embitter him. He kept on wanting Naruto and hating anyone who got close, but he worried now that he’d lost his chance. Sasuke, the character, would be going on hiatus soon. It was what the plot of the show called for, but Sasuke, the actor, feared that he would be forgotten by his friend. They spent plenty of time together outside of work so that wasn’t the problem. Something else was bugging him. “What if he meets someone else?” He thought, clutching the pillow even tighter and shoving his worry flushed pale face into it in a way that ruffled his already disheveled midnight blue hair.

Only time would tell.

what if ray was nervous and excited to be working close with actor rad. raymond doesnt share much screen time but imagine him a big fan of rad and getting all flustered. give me rad flirting with ray behind the scenes or during breaks and ray laughs it off but on the inside: "hes famous and he talked to me im dreaming"

And the whole time he’s nailing his acting on being rude-sassy/mean canon!Raymond he’s just inwardly like “oh my god I’m Too Good at this acting like a jerk thing Oh NO he’s gonna think I’m actually like that!!” so he’s like constantly in-between takes trying to reassure Rad over & over that that’s Not Really Him and he actually gets kinda really stressed over it on accident until Rad just kinda laughs & offers to take him out for coffee or something when they’re both free so he can prove it & stop apologizing all the time~ (((*sobs* no it’s okay I’m Fine;;)))
