CHAPTER 2: Meeting Tony Stark

Dad opened the car door for me as we got in. The drive was silent for a bit, neither of us wanting to talk about what was going on. Dad never brought me along for work trips unless it is necessary. “So, are you going to tell me what happened? Or am I just going to be in the dark about this,” I asked dad and I looked over at him. He was quiet before speaking up.

“Remember how I told you about that God from Asgard? well, he has a brother named Loki. And Loki wanted something we have called the tesseract.”

“What does the tesseract do?” I asked him. “We don't know, we were trying to figure it out but then Loki came through this portal and took it, along with the doctor in charge of the tesseract and… Clint Barton.” dad said as he took a hand of mine and squeezed it.

If I had an uncle it would be clint. We aren't close but when I would come to the office with dad from time to time clint and I would play pranks on other agents. He is very fun to be around.

“So why are we going to Stark tower?” I said as I saw the building in front of us. Easily one of the largest buildings in the city and clearly Starks. I saw a red suit flying through the sky and had to hold in a chuckle. “We need his help to get the tesseract back,” he said as we pulled into the tower. There was an empty parking spot right near the front. We got out and made our way into the tower.

“Hello, Agent Coulson and guest, how may I assist you today?” JARVIS said as we walked in.

“Alert Tony Stark that I’m here and I need to talk to him,” Dad said as we got into the elevator. “Right away sir,” JARVIS said as the elevator started to go up. I shake my hands fast as we make out way up. When I get super excited or nervous I shake my hands to help release some of the energy. I don't know if it actually works but I do it and it feels like it helps. Dad looked at me and saw me do it. “Excited or nervous?”

“Both, because it's Tony Stark and but also because it's Tony Stark,” I say with a chuckle. “Mr. Stark does not wish to speak to you sir, would you like to come back another time?” JARVIS said. “God dammit Tony,” my dad says and I see him get his phone out of his pocket as he hit Tony's contact. My dad brought the phone up to his ear.

Stark, we need to talk.

You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark, please leave a message.

This is urgent

Then leave it urgently.

as I continue to shake off my nerves, The elevator dings as the door opens. I see Mr. Stark talking to a lady. The two turn to look at us. “Security breach!” Tony says looking at my dad. “Mr. Stark,” my dad says to him.

“Phil! Come in,” the redhead says as she makes her way over to us. “And who might you be?” She said as she looked at me."I'm Y/n Coulson, I'm his daughter." I said is I extended my hand out to her,”I'm Pepper Potts, nice to meet you.” she said as we shook hands. I wonder if she and Tony are in a relationship? "come on in, we're celebrating!"

“I didn't know you were bringing mini agent, agent,” Tony said as he gave me a fist bump. “But as Pepper said, we are celebrating so you cant say. Bye!” Tony said as he turned around quickly. Pepper stopped him and he turned back around.

We need you to look this over. Soon as possible.

I don't like being handed things.

That's alright, `cause I love to be handed things. So, let's trade.

She passes her glass of champagne to Dad and takes the file from him, then takes her champagne glass back from Dad and passes the file over to Stark. “That was badass” i whispered, and I saw Pepper turn and wink at me. That woman is so cool, and hot.

Official consulting hours are between eight and five every other Thursday.

This isn't a consultation.

Is this about The Avengers? Which I...I know nothing about.

“What's the Avengers?” I asked dad as he gave me a wink, which meant he would tell me later.

“The Avengers Initiative was scrapped, I thought. And I didn't even qualify.” Tony said as he started walking towards his high-tech desk. “Why wouldn't you qualify? You’re Tony freaking Stark!” I exclaimed. “That's what I said!” Tony replied. “But apparently I'm volatile, self-obsessed, don't play well with others.”

“That makes sense,” I said back. “This isn't about personality profiles anymore.” my dad commented. “Whatever. Miss Potts, got a minute?” Tony waved his hand over and Pepper excused herself. I turn towards my dad. I have never seen him this anxious before. I took his hand in mine and gave it a squeeze. He looked down at me “it's going to be okay Dad, everything's going to turn out fine. We’ll be safe.” As I said that, I saw Tony look at the file on his holographic screen. There were pictures of heroes, all of who I recognized. I saw the hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Captain America. My dad and I were his biggest fans. Dad even has these vintage trading cards that took us forever to collect. It would be awesome to meet him in person one day.

Tony and Pepper were talking quietly before I saw her whisper something into his ear and his eyes went wide. Yep, they are definitely a couple. She kissed Tony before making her way over to us. “Well, he has homework to do. Any chance you are stopping by LaGuardia?” she said to my dad.

“We can take you,” my dad responded before walking towards the elevator with Pepper. I quickly ran to tony before we had to go. I tapped his shoulder and he turned to look at me. “I know you probably don't want to do this, but my dad's really scared and I'm scared. We need Earth's mightiest heroes to protect us. Please consider it.” I said to him. “Y/N” my dad called as he was holding the elevator door open. I quickly gave him a fist bump before running back to the elevator. Pepper was talking to dad about this girl he was seeing for a while who moved to portland. I never met her, but I knew dad liked her. I turned to look back at Tony who gave me a wink before the elevator door closed.

Why, aren’t villains badass? Well, not always do heroes impress us. Not to forget, the villains are the one who makes us love our heroes more. And when it comes to MCU, the villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have had a long and arduous struggle with actually accomplishing what they set out to do in their respective films. Since 2008’s Iron Man, big bads like Obadiah Stane have tried to thwart each and every one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into giving up their livelihoods, assets, powers or lives in no particular order. And some have come awfully close to fulfilling those promises, proving that they can sometimes be as cunning and smart, if not more so than their heroic counterparts. And the story is mostly different for every villain. Baddies like Stane, Whiplash and Aldrich Killian have gone toe-to-toe with Iron Man. Red Skull and his Hydra colleagues have tried to take down Captain America on numerous occasion. Thor has handled everyone from the Destroyer to his own brother, Loki. And the Guardians of the Galaxy have come face-to-face with some high-level cosmic threats. But each villain has their own wit and will among them, some just happen to do a lot better than others. And yeah, we know there’s one particular villain who rises above the rest. But don’t worry, I’ll get there now. I am ranking the villains of the MCU, based on their cunning and intelligence, from weakest to strongest. TOP 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Villains From WORST TO BEST Let’s start – 10- ALDRICH KILLIAN : The ALDRICH KILLIAN Aldrich Killian finds himself at the middle of the pack for not his plan, but his execution during the events of Iron Man 3. His villainous origin was sound, in that he was turned down by his greatest idol, Tony Stark, and forever sought his revenge on a man he felt didn’t have enough time for the little people. Killian was a viable threat to everything Tony Stark had built. He went after his home, his suits of armor and the woman he loves, Pepper Potts. And Killian almost beat Stark too, but he talked too much, and his vengeance got the best of him. He deserves a place here. 9- ALEXANDER PIERCE : The ALEXANDER PIERCE Alexander Pierce may be one of the most imposing villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For all intents and purposes, Pierce is one of the modern heads of Hydra, and he just so happens to be the catalyst for Hydra’s reveal that they have been infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D. since the beginning. But you have to be pretty smart to do all of this under the nose of Director Nick Fury, someone who basically knows when and why everything is happening. But Fury was caught off-guard, and Pierce’s will to destroy the agency of the world’s foremost peacekeeping force was the biggest undertaking of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the time. And we have to give him credit for the fact that he almost got away with it, too. Also Read: Disney will bring MCU’s lesser-known characters to it’s streaming service! 8- ARNIM ZOLA : ARNIM ZOLA Behind the main baddie of the film was a lasting legacy for Hydra, one that started with the post-war recruitment of Arnim Zola to the newly born S.H.I.E.L.D. From there Zola was able to plant his seeds of revenge, sending his own consciousness after death into a series of computers. Oh, and he also built the foundation for Hydra’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D., which you’ll remember as the main plot point from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Well, if he ends up like any part of his character from Marvel Comics, then we’re talking about a guy who builds his own dimension and race of people. And that sounds pretty terrifying to us. 7- EBONY MAW : EBONY MAW Of the members of Thanos’ Black Order in Avengers: Infinity War, Ebony Maw might be the most intellectually powerful. From the moment we see him, this dedicated baddie is the perfect equal to Doctor Strange’s mystic arts. He successfully captures Doctor Strange on one of Thanos’ ringed ships and heads for Titan. He then tortures

the good Doctor in an attempt to retrieve the Mind Stone from him, though he is bested by a team-up between Spider-Man, Iron Man and Doctor Strange’s cloak. And while we last see him freezing out in space, we can’t get the image of the gruesome Maw out of our heads. Can you? Must Read: Ranking All The AVENGERS In The MCU Based On Their Power 6- HELA : HELA As far as villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe go, Hela is among the best of them, using her birthright and raw abilities to take back what she believed rightfully hers. She just happened to kill a heck of a lot of people along the way. She also destroyed Mjolnir, effectively taking Thor off the board. And sure, the heroes “win” in the end, but at what cost? With Surtur unleashing his Ragnarok on Asgard, Hela’s ultimate goal was accomplished, even if that meant another eternal slumber for herself. 5- RED SKULL : RED SKULL One of the earliest villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Red Skull was a master of manipulating parts to get exactly what he wanted. During World War II, he co-opted the Nazis rise to power as a means for developing Hydra’s military, science, and technology divisions. And while his plan does ultimately fail, he robs the Earth of one of its strongest peacekeepers, Captain America, someone who quite literally could have changed the face of the war on Earth had he not been taken off the board for 70 years. The guy is textbook evil, but as far as intelligence goes, he’s up there with the smartest of them. He’s a rogue AI built from the Mind Stone, Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner’s expansive minds. Throughout the Age of Ultron, we get glimpses of Ultron’s intellect, he kills a bonafide Avengers and sends cracks rippling through the rest of them. He’s the reason why the disassembled Avengers struggle during Avengers: Infinity War. And for that, we have to call him one of the smartest and intentional villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper. 3- KILLMONGER : KILLMONGER In terms of raw ability, Killmonger may be the strongest, the grounded villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His motives were sincere and earned, and while they were misguided, he got the better of T’Challa and bested him in physical combat. Killmonger knew the right people to surround himself with to get what he wanted, and he followed that through until the very end. I think he’ll go down as one of the most-developed villains in all of the Marvel Studios films. He steals the Tesseract to open a door and let in the Chitauri. We also learn he’s working for Thanos, which means he has very powerful connections. Loki seemed to redeem himself in Thor: Ragnarok, but he’s a trickster, so we can never really be certain of anything. 1- THANOS : THANOS The purple big bad has been behind many of the major villainous moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was the one who sent Loki to Earth with what was then known as just a scepter, but really it hid the Mind Stone. That led to the Battle of New York, and the Mind Stone’s place on Earth then led to the creation of Ultron. Avengers: Infinity War finds Thanos in the endgame of his plan to wipe out half of the organic universe. He quickly obtains each and every Infinity Stone. He thought out each and every outcome and put every piece in the right place, all to reach an end goal that he’s been looking toward since he was trying to save his home planet. And guess what? He succeeded.

I know Tony said the Rescue suit was Pepper’s anniversary gift I think they got married right away and it would’ve been their fifth I’m just wondering why she’s so skilled with that thing if she put it on for the first time??? Like, in IM3 she was an idiot™ bless her kind soul and now she’s flying and firing those repulsor blasts like she’s been doing that all her life so I thought they may have been on some date flights but that doesn’t fit the timeline.... or did he give it to her before he left and showed her how it works?

Summary: Being Tony Starks intern comes with a lot responsibilities including saving him, his fiancé, his best friends and his other intern… (Takes place after Civil War)

(A/N: Reader is based of Ms Bellum from The Powerpuff girls, so for fun readers last name is Bellum.)

”A+ student, President of your schools amnesty club, member of advanced technology club” Pepper Potts read out of the intern application.

She silently continued reading on and then read out loud ”Proficent in two styles of Kung Fu… Trained in Guerilla warfare?…” she looked at you slightly confused and you said ”I’ve also recently started taking Muay Thai classes”

”Not gonna lie that at some point will probably be useful around him” She then put down the paper and said ”Well, Mr Bellum, i gotta say this all looks very good, your hired”. You smiled at the strawberry blonde woman and said ”Thank you very much Ms Potts, i’m so grateful for this opputunity”.

Pepper then brought out a white folder about what you can expect to do as Tony Stark’s intern. ”Oh and don’t hesitate to be firm with him, he can be complicated” she advised. You nodded as you read through the small bits of advice she had put as a seperate page in the folder.

”Tomorrow Tony’s personal driver will come and pick you up his name his Harold Hogan, he will take you to Avengers compound where you will help Tony out with whatever he needs, is everything clear?”

”Yes, Ms Potts”

The next day…

You were waiting outside your school fully prepared for whatever Tony Stark could possibly throw your way. Then a car pulled up beside you and the window rolled down revealing a round faced man. ”Are you Y/n Bellum?” He asked.

”Yes, you must be Mr Hogan, nice to meet you” you answered and got into the backseat of the car, bringing out the folder Pepper had given you to look at some things.

When you looked up you realised Happy was pulling up to Midtown High, ”Why are we stopping here?” you asked. ”Were picking up Tony’s other intern” Happy answered simply, you then went back to your reading until the backseat door on the otherside opened revealing a boy who seemed to be around your age.

”Hey Happy” he said not noticing your presence at first but as soon as he did he stared for second. ”Hey… I’m Parker Peter- I-I mean Peter Parker” he introduced cutely. ”I’m Y/n Bellum, i’m Tony’s new intern” you held out a hand for him which he eagerly took and shook.

”Peter, close the door and put on your seat belt so we can leave” Happy told the boy. ”Right” Peter said who quickly stopped looking at you and did as the chauffeur told him.

You looked back down at folder but noticed that Peter had leaned over trying to read what was in it, but when he noticed thar you looked at him he quickly said ”Sorry didn’t mean to intrude”. ”No, it’s okay” you said.

It was silent for a while until Peter asked ”So if you don’t mind me asking but like what can you do?”. ”What specifically do you mean?” You asked slightly confused. ”Like what ”skills” do you have so that you got the internship?” he questioned. ”Would you like to see my résumé?” you asked hoping it would answer his question.

You gave him the paper and he started reading through it. ”Are you really trained in guerilla warfare?” he asked excitedly to which you nodded. ”That’s awsome” he stated. Making a small smile spread on your face.

”So your kind of like Black Widow?” Peter asked. ”What?” you asked confused. Happy then spoke up saying ”Peter, he’s the regular kind of intern, he will be working as Tony’s personal assistant”.

”Ohhhh…” Peter said and then looked at you and said ”Forget i said anything”. The conversation left you confused yet slightly entertained so you got back to reading the folder.

When you arrived at the Avengers Compound all three of you stepped out of the car and entered the compound. ”Where do you think Mr Stark would be at the moment?” you asked Peter. ”Probably his personal lab” Peter answered. ”Can you show me there?” you asked. ”Of course” he said and the two of you headed for Tony’s lab.

Peter and you arrived at the lab and Peter opened it for you. ”Hey kid” Tony said and then he spotted you and asked ”And who are you?”. ”Y/n Bellum, your new intern/personal assistant” you answered professionally.

”Since when?” Tony asked. ”Since your fiancé hired me” you explained. He exhaled and said ”Of course she did… well get the clipboard over there and take notes on the test results of the upgrades on Spider-man’s webshooters”.

”Yes, Mr Stark”

Two months later…

You and Happy were picking up cheeseburgers for everyone but as you returned to the compound something was differrent, all the lights off, the pin code lock to the enterance was totally fried, the door stood open and the security guards lay passed out on the floor.

”What happened here?” you questioned and bent down to check one of the guards pulses. ”Looks like there’s been a break in, Y/n listen to me go hide in that room there and i’ll go check on the others” Happy told you but you weren’t so sure of that.

”But what if they are still here? You might get hurt… or worse” you said. ”That’s a risk i must take” Happy said and started walking further into the building, leaving you alone at the enterance.

You waited there for about 20 minutes even though it felt longer as you were quite anxious, so you took a baton from one of the passed out security guards and headed for the Avengers living area. You made sure to be careful as you got closer listening for the sound of voices or footsteps.

You then heard someone from around the corner ”Boss, i’ve got Iron Man and War Machine but no sign of the Vision, i’ve caught some of their friends as well, Stark’s fiancé, some kid and Stark’s bodyguard”. It was a female voice but you then heard someone else speak ”Good job Diamondback, i want Stark and War Machine alive, you can kill the others” a male voice said. ”Yes, boss” the woman called Diamondback answered.

She then walked towards the Avengers living room, so you quietly followed. You then saw them, Pepper, Tony, Peter, Rhodey and Happy were all tied to chairs and passed out but they looked unhurt. ”Probably knock-out gas” you thought to yourself.

Diamondback walked up to Pepper and shook her awake. When Pepper woke she woke up Tony while saying ”Hey…Hey! Wake up i’m gonna make you watch while i kill your fiancé” Tony tried to talk her out of it saying he’d pay her millions if she didn’t do it.

But Diamondback could not be convinced so she got closer to Pepper holding a diamond shaped blade. But you would not let her hurt Pepper so you revealed yourself from your hiding place.

”Not so fast Diamondback” you said loudly to get the attention of the villainess. ”Oh what do we have here?” She asked in a amused voice. ”You think you can beat me when two superheroes could not? Never!!!” She asked mockingly.

”Oh yeah… Try me” you said challenging her. She threw a three diamond shaped blades which you just managed avoid and then you ran towards her. She brought out another blade but you threw the baton at her hand, which knocked the blade out of it.

You then raised your knuckle and punched but she blocked and grabbed your arm, she then tossed you over her shoulder and onto the floor. She then bent over you with another blade but before she clould do anything you kicked her in the stomach, which gave you enough time to get up.

The two of you continued throwing punches back and forward. Then she grabbed you again and threw you so you landed on the table infrot of the couch which broke as you landed on it. She gave away a small laugh thinking she had beat you.

So she turned her back to you to go back to Pepper, which was a mistake on her part. Because you ran towards her and tackled her out of the window. You weren’t on that high of a floor so the fall wouldn’t be lethal.

You and Diamondback landed on the grass outside with a thud and you could hear Pepper screaming worriedly from the inside of the compound ”Oh my god!”.

You stood up again meeting eye to eye with Diamondback who seemed to have gotten tired of you. She ran at you ready to savagely attack you, but you stood your ground and got ready for her. She threw her punch which you parried with your left arm and quickly countered with a swing from the right hitting her right in the face knocking her out.

You stood breathing heavy from the challenging battle when you saw the passed out security guards had woken up an came running to your aid. They handcuffed Diamondback and took her away.

You entered the compound again and picked up the cheseburgers from the enterance where you had left them. You then went back up to the Avengers living room where the others were.

You dropped of the cheseburgers in the kitchen and then entered living room. When Pepper and Tony saw you entering Pepper said ”Oh my god, Y/n we were so worried for you”. You picked up Diamondback’s blade which you knocked out of her hand and started cutting everyone lose. You cut loss Pepper first and then Tony who said ”You’re getting a raise and a promotion”.

When everyone had been cut loss and woken up Peter asked ”What happened to you?” and started fussing about the scratches on your clothing and the cut on your face. ”We can talk about it over dinner” you said and walked to the cheeseburgers in the kitchen.

Alex Rider & Spider-Man Crossover Idea

I watched Alex Rider not too long ago (the TV show on Amazon Prime) and can’t find any Fanfiction. I love the reveal ones and basically anything excluding the weird ones. (You know what I’m talking about if you’ve searched for Alex Rider fanfics) Anyways, I started reading ‘In Any Other World’ by DaniWib and thought that it was a great idea, especially because it was a crossover fic. Then I started reading a bunch of crossover fanfics and here we are. Anyways, I just thought it would be cool to do more Alex Rider and Spider-Man crossover fics. So, (since I cannot write) someone could write one where they are already friends (don’t know how they became friends, you can come up with an idea or they could have become friends under similar circumstances to how they did in ‘In Any Other World’ ; it doesn’t have to be in quarantine, they could just share a safe house or something. And I’m thinking this would be where they share a universe and it’s the TV show version of Alex and the Tom Holland version of Spider-Man, but you can switch it you want or just add more of a backstory for Alex that tells how he got back into missions. *it would probably be post-Season 1*)

Anyways, they could work together somehow in a fic or maybe somehow get sent back in time (don’t judge me, I know I’m obsessed with time travel, I just keep having ideas for different shows and movies) where they try to save their loved ones. (Again, this would not be the book version or movie version of Alex Rider so if Jack is dead it would be in some other way. I don’t think the whole being in space thing is very realistic also. For Peter, Tony is already dead so he could be trying to save him) or it just be where they become (or we’re already friends before they went back) and cause chaos together. (Just imagine Alex, Peter, and Shuri. Maybe even add Harley. They would be unstoppable. Actually that would also be a good idea; a fic with Alex, Shuri, Peter, and Harley. Also, if you use that you can add Parkner; or not) I know I’m ranting so none of this makes sense, so sorry. But anyway yeah. They could also be stuck in a time loop together or do a mission together, but that’s all I can think of so far. Oh and maybe one where Harley, Peter, Alex, and Shuri are stuck in a time loop together.

Note: if Shuri is somehow Shiro anywhere in this it is autocorrect, not me.

Virginia “Pepper” Potts lost everything in the hostile takeover of Stark Industries–her position as CEO, her carefully curated art collection, her reputation, all her money, and her husband. Her whole life was ruined by Obadiah Stane’s lies and manipulations and greed.

But Pepper was never one to take anyone’s bullshit lying down.

The truth of her innocence (and Obadiah’s guilt) was located somewhere at Stark Industries (or one of its many subsidiaries), and in order to regain her rightful place, Pepper needed the best of the best to retrieve it.

Pairings: Tony Stark x daughter!reader, Peter Parker x Stark!reader (platonic)

Summary:

an Infinity War/Endgame AU where Tony Stark’s daughter (you) is one of half the population that vanishes in the snap, Tony finds out later on when he arrives back to Earth, devastated, then you come back like the others to help fight Thanos.

Part 1

Just like the others, you were brought back when the Avengers succeeded in retrieving all the infinity stones.

You're laying on the ground at the same place you were last time: Wakanda. Once you gain consciousness you struggle to get up, your legs wobbly.

“Hello?” You call out, but you're alone, can’t even contact anyone since your suit is out of power. You have no clear memory of what happened, just that you had an anxiety attack while Natasha held you, then you blacked out and - that’s it.

You felt a strong breeze and footsteps behind you.

“[Y/N] Stark,” a man’s voice says. “Come with me.”

The man is ancient looking, had a cape and his facial hair weirdly reminds you of Tony’s. “Who are you? And how long was I out?” You look at a sparking yellow portal far behind him, “did you do that?”

“Stick together and stick with Wong,” the man calls out before the portal closes. You have no idea who he was talking to since they already got in. “Doctor Stephen Strange. We need to find Pepper Potts and... get you suited.”

“I already am suited it’s just - no juice. What’s going on?”

“It’s been five years. It’s time, your father and the others need our help to defeat Thanos,” Doctor Strange opens up another portal to an unfamiliar cabin. Your eyes light up at the mention of Tony. “Quickly. We do not have much time.”

Five years? Unbelievable. That’s just insane. You like sleeping a lot but you couldn’t imagine being asleep for five long years.

“Are - are you sure we’re in the right pla - okay, sorry, don’t have much time, yeah,” you knock on the door when Doctor Strange gives you a stern and impatient look. It gets answered right away.

“[Y/N]? Oh my god,” Pepper says breathlessly. You could feel her sobbing while she hugs you tightly.

“Hey, you guys didn’t tell me you moved,” you frown. “Is all my stuff here? Mr. Strange wants me to get ready and this isn’t the only suit I have-”

“Doctor Strange.”

“It’s upstairs, last room on the left,” Pepper smiles as she wipes her tears. You nod and went up the stairs as the magic doctor told her everything.

All your stuff were in boxes and your spare iron suit was standing in a corner. You wiped away the dust off and checked if it was in good condition. It was ready to go.

You quickly charged the weapons and blasters on the suit, and you still needed to-

You hear a small gasp from behind the door.

Confused, you turn around to see a girl with an amazed smile on her face. “Y/N!”

You cautiously walk over to the small girl, “yeah, I’m Y/N, what’s your name?”

“Morgan,” she replies, then her eyes widen as she hides something behind her back. “Daddy said I can borrow your stuff as long as I put it back. They all look really cool.”

You still aren’t sure, but you start to put the pieces together in your mind: you were ‘gone’ for five years, this girl is living with Pepper, and if you guessed right, ‘daddy’ is Tony.

She’s your sister.

“It’s okay, and thanks,” she gives you a small hug which you return slightly, you feel a smile growing on your face since you find her really precious. “It’s nice to meet you, Morgan.

“Hey, so, there’s this weirdo man downstairs and he wants me and Pep - mom to do an errand for him,” you say to her once you remember you have to go. Morgan nods understandingly, “we can play and catch up when I get back, okay? That’s a promise.”

She runs back to her room and you get suited up, power at its maximum.

“Welcome back, Ms. Stark.”

“Glad to be. I missed you - actually, how Dad’s doing? Is he alright?”

“Mr. Stark had a concussion earlier, but as of now he is waking up again.”

“Oh,” you exhale and start worrying about him a bit. “Okay. That’s fine, I guess,”

Once you go back down a portal was already open and a nanny by the door (you assumed for Morgan). You fly right in before it closed up.

“Holy shit.”

There's armies coming out of many different portals, from people to aircrafts, to mutants. You all gather at the Avengers compound, or what used to be the compound.

“I forgot to mention,” you point out and Pepper turns to you, “That’s a pretty badass suit.”

You could feel Pepper roll her eyes from inside her suit. You follow her as she flies all the way to the front.

Your eyes dart everywhere to look for Tony. And there he is, getting up from the ground and flying back to the Avengers. He looks worn out, ragged, tired; you notice before his iron head covered him up. There’s so many people that you doubt he even saw you. God, you miss him so much.

Cap, Thor, Rhodey, Clint, Peter, Wanda, Bucky, Sam, Bruce - or Hulk, everyone was there, but where’s Natasha?

“Avengers!” Cap shouts, a hand extended as he catches Mjolnir without stumbling - whoa, what? - “assemble.”

That’s it. The battle begins.

It's your first time using your backup suit, you obviously didn’t have the time to test it out first. Good thing it works fine.

You're flying around, shooting enemies whenever they get in your way and helping anyone on your side who needed it.

What got you confused (not that you were complaining) was how the other Avengers were a bit too happy to see you than they normally should. You brushed it off though, they probably just love you so much like you love them.

“Aye, mind if you launch me? I need to be over there,” a raccoon holding a gun states and pointed to the direction. You recognize him immediately.

"Sure thing, bud,” you obliged, grabbing him, levitating off the ground and to thrust your iron arm forward like a cannon.

After a while the battle died down a bit and you saw Tony embracing Peter in a distance.

You smile sadly. Peter’s your best friend, but you really wish that it’s you who Tony was hugging.

Your jealousy fades when one of those giant flying Chitauri makes its way to their direction, ready to attack.

“Friday, activate the mega blaster,” you fly closer to the pair.

“Which one?” For fuck’s sake, Friday,

“The biggest one, please, now!” Once the blaster's out, you aim at the monster who's literally meters away from Tony and Peter and fire. When it crashes to the ground lifeless, you land beside them.

“Sorry, that was,” you pant, opening up your iron helmet. “It was literally going to eat you guys, so, uh, sorry for ruining the moment.”

Peter smiles, nodding and Tony looks at you as if he couldn’t believe his eyes.

He hadn’t seen you in so long that your sudden presence fucking took his breath away. You're here, alive and back. If you guys weren’t in such a situation he’d go on and tell you about all the things you missed.

“I’m probably in trouble, right? I mean.. look Dad, I’m in a battlefield,” you laugh nervously, shooting a creature from the corner of your eye. “In my defense, Doctor Strange was the one who came to me, I didn’t-”

You're cut off when Tony wraps his arms around you. Right now he didn’t care about your excuses as to why you were here. But if Tony from five years ago could see you now he’d definitely ground you for life and take away your lab privileges.

“You’re doing great.” his voice slightly muffled from the hug. You let out a squeak, not expecting that from him at all. Tony smiles and plants a kiss to your forehead. “I love you, kid.”

“I love you too, Dad.”

The battle carries on and you're being swarmed by more enemies. You got really beaten up as it went on - what really knocked you out was when Thanos’ spaceship rained fire.

Unable to get shelter, you try your best to dodge everything that came out of the ship. You could barely see anymore because of the chaos and the clouds of dust everywhere.

“Ms. Stark, you need to get somewhere safe! Your heart rate is also increasing dangerously fast.”

“Not - not helping, Fri-” you get cut off when one of the blue fires hit you on the head, sending you to the ground unconscious.

“[Y/N], come on buddy, you need to get up,” Peter. He found your body a while after he handed the gauntlet to Captain Marvel. The battle's still ongoing, but he’s focusing on keeping you away from it while he waits for you to wake up.

You quickly sit up and gasp for air, looking at your best friend. “Did we win? Did we - wait, Peter, look out!” You push him out of the way when a group of monsters make their way to both of you. They turn into dust before they could lunge forward, however.

“...what the..?”

He helps you up and the both of you run to where Rhodey and Tony are at. You nearly break down when you see the state he's in.

“Mr. Stark? Hey - Mr. Stark? It’s Peter... and look, Y/N’s here- she’s okay, sir-” While Peter tries to talk to him you kneel down beside him, placing a hand on his arm while you do your best not to cry.

Then he looks at you, mouthing it’s okay.

But you know it isn’t. On your part, anyway. It seems really selfish but you don’t know what you’d do without him. Tony has always been there for you, he always kept you going.

Pepper kneels beside you, gave you a reassuring look before looking at her husband. “Friday?”

“Life functions critical.” That makes you whimper, pulling yourself closer to Tony.

“Tony, look at me. We’re going to be okay. You can rest now.”

You nod, sniffling, resting your head on his shoulder lightly. “I love you. I’ll take good care of Morgan, dad. Don’t worry.”

When the light of his arc reactor goes out, that’s when both you and Pepper break down, comforting each other around Tony’s lifeless body.

Dresses really weren’t your thing. So were skirts and shorts. But you wore a short, black dress for Tony’s funeral. You didn’t care if you weren’t comfortable, it was for him. You’d do anything for him.

You barely got any sleep since the battle, you couldn’t now that he was gone. It didn’t feel right. You had no idea how to cope, how you could move on from this.

What made things worse is when Steve and Thor told you about what happened to Natasha, that’s why you didn’t see her in the battle. She gave her own life just to get everybody else back.

You must’ve zoned out again because Rhodey and Pepper are now setting something up in the living room. An Iron Man helmet.

“S’that going to be new decoration?” You force out a chuckle, sniffling afterwards, sitting down on the sofa behind them.

Iron Man’s eyes light up when Rhodey presses a button. You couldn’t believe what you were seeing. Tony sitting on a chair, a hologram.

He turns it off before hologram Tony could say a word. “That’s,” he sighs, “that’s for later.”

“I can’t do this,” you get up, running a hand through your hair. “I can’t. I’ll - I’ll break down, I know I will. Can I take a walk? Please?”

“Take your time.” Steve gives you a comforting smile.

Pepper nods. “Some air would do you good. Be back when it’s time, okay?”

You take longer calming yourself down in the woods near the cabin. You cried, you mumbled to yourself, paced back and forth,

Cause a picture is all that I have, To remind me that you're never coming back If I picture it now it just makes me sad And right now I just wish you were here.

You stop when you heard leaves crunching. Peter just arrived, along with his aunt.

“Hey,” Peter silently greets, pulling you into a hug. It's obvious he isn’t getting any sleep either. “Are you okay?”

“Of course not,” you murmur, pulling away. “I should probably head back inside.”

“I’ll see you in a bit.”

You slowly walk to the porch, stopping when you hear Tony’s voice inside. You decide to just wait outside the door, you definitely don’t want to see his face, not right now, it'd be too painful.

“If we pull this thing off, and get everyone back,” Tony pauses. “Tell [Y/N] I left something in her room, yeah?”

Then he does the secret rhythm to a clap only the both of you memorized and knew.

You assume he’s done, since you don’t hear his voice anymore after that. Everyone goes out of the house and you hold Morgan’s hand as all of you walk to the lake for one last goodbye.

After that you talked to everybody who came for a while. Bruce, Steve, Clint and Thor tried to get you to look at the bright side, which you appreciated, you met the rest of the guardians who came, Doctor Strange who gave you a sympathetic look and apologized for your loss, and the guy you remembered Tony told you about, the one who helped him when his suit powered down and got stranded years ago. You made a mental note to ask him to hang out with you and Peter sometime.

“Hey... I’m heading to bed now,” you inform Pepper, Happy and Rhodey (both men were staying at the cabin for a few days) who're in the living room staring at the fireplace.

Before you go to your own room you check up on Morgan, who’s fast asleep. She's wearing her little Iron Man glove, pressed to her chest. She doesn’t deserve this.

Your room is still unpacked and they just sort of removed your bed from the compound and moved it here. You sit on the bed, already thinking of ways to move on that you know wouldn’t work anyway.

You remember your father claimed he had something for you here, so taking a deep breath, you clap the secret rhythm,

“Dad... you’ve gotta be kidding me,” you whine, covering your face with both palms.

Another hologram.

“Hey legacy,” Tony chuckles, looking at you. You shake your head at the ridiculous nickname, also avoiding his eyes, which you’re sure would make you cry if you did look. “I... uh, this is just a little video. For you. Sure you won’t see this but... I like to pretend I could still talk to you. I miss you, a lot.”

You fiddle with your hands, still not looking at him but you listen to him talk.

“But we’ll see. We’ll figure something out. I hope to see you soon, [Y/N]. I love you.”

He has both hands in his pockets as he looked at you with a warm smile, before disappearing.

But he reappears a second after.

“We’re doing it tomorrow. The... uh, time travel thing.”

The stress in his voice make you look up at him, but this time he isn’t looking at you. It seems like he was pacing while he recorded it.

“I just finished doing one of these for, well, in case I somehow die while we attempt to do it. If you think about it, it’s highly likely. Going back in time, yada yada, possibilities are endless,” he sighs. “But I figured I owe my firstborn a final message if that happens, right?”

“Honestly I feel,” he makes motions with his hands. “Bit anxious... right now. We were the only ones helping each other out when one of us felt this way but... seeing as you’re not here, I just have to deal with it.”

“[Y/N], look at me,” Tony crouches down to be in level with you, like he knew you were actually here watching this, like he was actually there, the one talking to you. But it’s how he programmed it. “You wanna know what my best decision in life was?”

“Yeah?”

“Taking you in,” he smiles. “When we fight you always bring up that I had the choice not to, and you were right. But guess what? I have no regrets.”

You smile, blinking back tears.

“You mean the world to me, I just feel like I don’t say it enough,” Tony cocks his head slightly, still looking at you. “We both have no idea what the afterlife’s like but that won’t matter, I’ll always look after you girls.”

“Speaking of which, your sister reminded me so much of you when she was first born, god, I still wish you were around for that. I know you’ll love her, she’s just brilliant. Take care of her for me, yeah?”

“Maybe there’s a way to get you back,” Tony sighs at your words, already knowing that it’s not going to work out. “I - I just need some time. I can bring you back, Dad-”

He places a hand on your shoulder. You couldn’t feel it, but you did feel a light breeze. “The deed’s already done, honey. Don’t worry about me. Come on, don’t cry,” he kneels in front of you as you let yourself go, crying hard into your palms.

Don't say everything's meant to be, Cause you know it's not what I believe Can't help but think that it should've been me In the end, I just wish you were here.

You open your eyes when you hear a beep, even Tony turns around. The recording had ten seconds left. “The recording’s about to end, [Y/N],”

“I love you tons,” you whisper, looking up at him.

Tony smiles, caressing your cheek. “I love you 3,000.”

Yeah, they say you're in a better place, Either way I still wish you were here ‘Cause they say you're in a better place In the end, I just wish you were here.

I'm looking for a fic where tony (and pepper?) fosters a trans male Peter, and I think that they hadn't met Peter before he was placed there. Peter had been in the system for a while and had bad experiences linked to being trans. Tony was already fostering another kid, probably Harley, and I remember a line about how Peter was afraid that Harley would be aggressive because he was there first. and I remember the social worker was portrayed in a good light.

I thought of roles for some of the other Avengers for my SamBucky AU I’m calling School of Fish AU bc school?? fish?? Bucky’s a teacher and Sam’s a fisherman?? get it?? lol

Like I said previously, Sam’s the local fisherman. He’s living with Sarah and helping her raise the boys like a good uncle and he meets Bucky and is like 👀. Bucky’s the history teacher at the local high school. He’s still pining over his childhood best friend Steve who recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Peggy.

Steve Rogers - I see him running a mechanic shop for some reason??? I don't know why but that's what I'm feeling rn. He’s been friends with Bucky his whole life and thinks of him as his brother. He doesn’t know Bucky’s in love with him bc he’s oblivious.

Peggy Carter - I don't actually know what she'd do for work (maybe the English teacher??) but every Tuesday and Thursday evening she teaches a self defense class at the community center. Nat and Valkyrie help co-teach from time to time. She does know Bucky's in love with Steve because she's not oblivious but isn't jealous or anything like that. She understands why Bucky would fall for Steve and wants Bucky to be happy. They actually get along pretty well.

Sarah Wilson - Helps with the family fishing business like in canon. Also like in canon she’s a single mom taking care of Cass and AJ with Sam’s help. Every Saturday is lady’s night where she, Pepper, May, Wanda, Natasha, Peggy, and other ladies of the mcu I’m forgetting get together at Valkyrie’s bar and just chill together. I just want more woman friendships in the mcu so I’m giving it to myself as a treat.

Tony Stark - Stay at home dad of Morgan. Before Morgan was born he was a scientist in the nearby city. He is the PTA’s number one volunteer for stuff. Married to badass business woman Pepper Potts. #malewife

Pepper Potts - Like I said, badass business woman. I think Aunt May would be a business partner just because I love imagining those two having a friendship 👌 I don’t actually know what the business would be (I haven’t thought that far ahead) but she works in the city that’s like 30 minutes away.

Peter Parker - High school student who tutors and babysits a bunch of the younger kids in the town they live in. Still a super smart nerd and lives with Aunt May just minus the super powers. Good friends with Ned, Shuri, and Michelle.

Wanda and Vision Maximoff - Owners of the small bakery/café in the town square just because that seems like it would be their jam. Met in college and married about a year ago with twin sons on the way.

Natasha Romanoff - Besties with Clint. No one actually knows what she does for a living or what her life was like before she moved to the town a few years ago. I honestly don't know what she’d do for a living but it wouldn't be as exciting as everyone in town thinks it is lol

Clint Barton - Owns a farm a few miles out of town where he lives with Laura and the kids. Goes to the farmers market in town every weekend to sell the stuff they grow on the farm. Laura is the local librarian because she gives me librarian vibes.

Bruce Banner - The science teacher at the high school. He and Tony are old college roommates bc science bros.

Valkyrie - She owns the bar in town and know everyone's secrets because they get drunk and tell her. Very bi and besties with Thor.

Thor Odinson - High school gym teacher seems obvious but it just suits him okay?? Coach of the football team too. He's a lot of the kids favorite teacher just because he's so kind and understanding. If a student has a problem they'll most likely go to Mr. Odinson for help. In a long distance relationship with Dr. Jane Foster who’s doing science-y stuff in a different state but should be coming home soon.

Loki Odinson - Drama teacher. I picture him being like Mrs. Darbus from High School Musical.

T'Challa - The charismatic town mayor who’s always reeclected because everyone loves him and he's doing a fantastic job running the town.

Shuri - T’Challa’s younger sister and student at the local high school. She and Peter have a friendly science rivalry that has caused a few minor fires and explosions.

least favorite character: ego is probably the worst (as in morally, not in terms of writing) villain in the entire franchise. i hate his guts

character I would marry: honestly? scott. i love him a lot

a random thought: i just fuckin love rhodey, man. mvp of the mcu

an unpopular opinion: it really doesn't always matter if a character or storyline isn't 100% comics-accurate as long as it's not actively harmful. to be clear, i'm not talking about things like comic fans talking about whitewashing of the maximoffs, because that is a very real issue that definitely needs to be discussed and ideally fixed. i'm talking about other comic fans who get really pedantic about things like iron man's favorite brand of cereal. they're adaptations, and considering comics canon usually makes no sense anyway, non-harmful changes aren't that big of a deal

my canon OTP: pepperony... i miss them...

my non-canon OTP: carolmaria... why is feige a coward...

most badass character: carol and okoye are a dead tie. queens. they should be friends

most epic villain: okay see this is hard because the most EPIC villains are definitely killmonger and the emo odinsons, but my favorite villain is ava starr. she'd better be in quantumania or so help me feige

pairing I am not a fan of: *HEAVIEST OF SIGHS* st/eggy

(To my knowledge obvi because I wasn’t around at that time tho I’m wishing I was…pretty much always)

*clears throat* Okay so—

Everybody lives in Stark Avengers Tower

Natasha knows all (canon tho lbr)

Thor being obsessed with pop tarts (…why?)

Team Bonding

(movie nights, team dinners, paintball, game nights, etc…)

Clint always in the in the vents

(most of the time spying on the main ship’s couple-y moments and reporting-spilling the tea- to ‘Tasha)

Speaking of which-

Calling Nat the nickname ‘Tasha (this one’s cute even tho it what usually just Clint)

But also not just the vents- top of the fridge as well and also a random bookcase for whatever reason..

Steve blushing…a lot

Thor having no concept of regular volume or an ‘inside voice’

(always shouting his sentences and-for whatever reason-always texts with the caps lock on)

Clint & Tony prank wars

Steve’s Puppy Dog EyesTM

Jarvis and Tony being bffs

Main action (in the fic) happening on the team common room

Tony constantly upgrading the other’s suits/gear

Clint being the only one allowed to do certain things with/to Nat while the others couldn’t and could only wonder how did he not get stabbed for ruffling her hair she would’ve poisoned my coffee if I did that-shut up tony-don’t you tell me she wouldn’t have done the same to you, Capsicle-

Clintasha friendship goals

But also Clintasha being a subtle married ship- making the rest of the team wonder are they together orrr…? (but being to afraid to ask for clarification)

Pepper dropping by weekly to check in on the team

Make sure they haven’t done more damage than the last time she was there

(most of the time PR but it could also be actual physical damage to the tower when they got into a playful argument that escalated)

And she(Pep)always expects Natasha to be better than them and on her side with the exasperated eye-rolls

And she is, mostly

But sometimes, she likes to be in on the fun with her boys

So enter Pepper- who is utterly aghast because et tu, Natasha? 🤭

(Nat-on those occasions- just shrugs and smirks like the badass she is because-unlike the boys-she’s not afraid terrified of Pepper)
