Why I Love Hanamusa
I get this question very frequently but have never given a really in depth, definitive answer. All just kinda implied through my comics and spread out asks. So here's this I guess! Long post ahead:
Tumblr media
First, as a Pokémon fan in her mid 20s, I love seeing a ship where the characters are both in their mid/late 20s. Already, they’re much more relatable to me and my current experiences. Most Pokémon ships are between preteens, which can be cute but ultimately don’t interest me as much as they used to when I was a kid myself. Not enough to get super invested in and draw a lot of fanart for anyways haha.
I’ll also start by saying that canon doesn’t always influence whether or not I’ll ship something. I’m much more drawn to potential. Could the characters work together? Do their personalities work together in a nice way? I feel like this so much of fanon is anyways. Especially with queer relationships because they’re rarely depicted in the first place. A lot of the context for these ships is usually up to the fans to piece together or make up in general. And that’s the fun part to me!
Jessie and Delia have only met in the anime a handful of times. Any interaction they’ve had has either been pleasant, or just a typical Team Rocket interaction, with Delia dismissing them/not seeing them as a threat. Already a great jumping off point for me since, truly, they don’t have any actual beef or true, ill feelings towards each other. It’s not TOO out of the realm of possibility for them to potentially fall for each other. “But Jessie chased Delia’s son around trying to steal his Pokémon!” That’s where that dismissive and aloof attitude that Delia has comes into play. I’ll go more into Delia’s whole deal a bit later but I do think this aspect of her personality is a large reason why this ship can work. It’s not that she doesn’t care that Jessie has a bad past, but she can tell that, on the inside, Jessie’s a good person. And, in a scenario where Jessie is trying to become a better person, is forgiving enough to give her a shot. I feel like this is such a solid foundation for a ship. A character who has done wrong but is trying to be better and another character who is willing to help them be better. A classic dynamic!
It’s not just one-sided though; where Jessie is the only one benefitting and learning from the relationship. I believe Delia could get a lot out of being with someone like Jessie. To understand why, I think it’s important to know these characters’ respective backstories.
Jessie is an orphan/foster child who grew up in poverty. Her mother Miyamoto (from The Birth of Mewtwo) was a Team Rocket operative herself, who went on a mission to find Mew. In order to do this, she had to leave Jessie when she was just a toddler. Unfortunately, Miyamoto went MIA on her mission leaving Jessie to more or less fend for herself. Jessie went through life with zero stability, evident by her MANY different careers and constant moving around. It’s implied in the show that she went from foster home to foster home, and later in life tried being an idol, weather girl, florist, wine connoisseur, actress, most notably a nurse and finally a Team Rocket field agent. And even while in Team Rocket, she, James and Meowth were always doing odd jobs to get by. We see that Jessie used to be a sweet kid, and even adult, but the world and her circumstances repeatedly did her dirty, leading her to become the character we know today. Hot tempered, mean, selfish, etc. But despite this, her soft side does still shine through for the people and Pokémon she cares about. She is incredibly loyal.
Delia, unbeknownst to a lot of fans, also had a rough past (see Pocket Monsters: The Animation). Like Jessie, she had a lot of dreams and aspirations like wanting to be a model and even a trainer. But when she was 10, her mother didn’t let her, telling her that she had to stay home and learn to run the family restaurant (she’s an only child). Delia’s father left her and her mother to be a trainer, and never returned. When she was 18, she married Ash’s father and became pregnant shortly after. But right after Ash was born, he also set off to be a Pokémon trainer. And soon after that, her mother passed away, leaving Delia with just the restaurant and baby Ash. This gives so much context to Delia’s attitude in the show. We see that Delia is pained whenever Ash leaves on a journey, but she never shows that pain to anyone. ESPECIALLY Ash. She’s very quick to shoo him off when he shows any sign of wanting to go on another journey and even when he returns home, she acts more excited to see Pikachu than him almost every time. Without all this backstory, it’s easy to just read this as a funny gag, BUT with context, I think it really shows how quickly Delia shuts down and detaches in order to not confront her own feelings. She’s afraid of losing people and getting hurt again.
All that said, I think Jessie and Delia provide each other with EXACTLY what the other needs.
Aside from becoming rich and famous, Jessie’s biggest aspiration is to get married. In my opinion, this is more so an underlying want for love and stability. There is no one more stable in the show than Delia. Delia’s lived in Pallet her whole life, she’s worked at the same restaurant since she was young and she is always there when Ash comes back home. She has all the love, patience and stability Jessie needs and craves. While forgiving, Delia’s not stupid and can keep Jessie in check. Delia’s also just an angel, which I feel, would make Jessie want to be better. And on top of all this, on more of a surface level, Delia’s a chef and excellent cook. She shows love through cooking and Jessie, who grew up poor, regularly starving and eating snow, happily receives that love. Jessie’s able to live a happy and healthy life with someone like Delia.
Delia, as stated, is very stable. Likely pretty monotonous and solitary, especially living in such a small town like Pallet. This isn’t a bad thing but it’s a little sad when you consider that Delia also had dreams of traveling, being a model and a trainer. She had to give up so many dreams in order to fulfill her duties as a restaurant owner and mother. And even now, when Ash is off on his journey, she feels the need to always be home and be that stable pillar, leaving behind any ambitions she had, thinking it’s too late for her (she’s only 29 btw). But then along comes Jessie, dangerous, passionate, an absolute firecracker. Someone who’s whole life has been about chasing dreams and either, never giving up on them or finding a new dream to chase. Upon learning about Delia’s past aspirations, I could see Jessie pushing her towards them, letting her know that life’s too short and she has nothing to lose from trying. On top of this, Jessie’s also loyal. She, James and Meowth are depicted as doing anything for anyone who gives them food or shows them kindness. Delia does both so there’s no way Jessie would leave her. This fulfills an essential need for Delia, who is afraid of the people in her life leaving her.
There’s so much potential for mutual growth and learning between these two and I adore that. They compliment each other, they help each other and they bring out the best qualities in one another.
I’m not really sure how to end this and I could truly talk about them even more but I don’t want this to be tooooo long haha. OH I could end it with maybe the most funny aspect of this ship that I've brushed over and also what drew me to it in the first place. Jessie. As Ash’s stepmom. THE END.

Being Seijoh’s Manager
Bookworm Manager
Tumblr media
Seijoh x GN! Manager (they/them pronouns)
Warnings: swearing (probably, actually idk)
AN: this is an anon request.
Honestly I think this team is a perfect fit for a manager who loves to read!
They give a certain vibe of class and distinction 😌
And idk if you read romance, action, manga, smut, fantasy, non-fiction, etc
Readers have a certain amount of grace to me
And of course, our precious Yn is the number #1 most graceful 💅
You attend Seijoh and you just happen to be a first year
You never really bothered anyone, never really stood out but you had friends and were a typical student
Perks of being a wallflower 😏
Prepare for book puns and I won’t apologize!
Anyways, you were a typical student who just happened to have class with our favorite aloof wing spiker, Kunimi
Kunimi actually really enjoyed you because you were nice, sweet and pleasant
You never caused drama and while you did have you noise in a book a lot, he’d rather have that than someone gushing over his Senpai 🙄
I totally feel like Kunimi would like reading too so he would probably ask you about your reads, which you happily share
You probably were constantly tired, like him, only you were tired because you stayed up all night reading 😅
During a normal practice, Mattsun and Makki were again teasing Oikawa for being the reason they couldn’t have nice things
Aka a manager
“I can’t help that everyone likes me!” Oikawa whines
“Shut up Shittykawa nobody likes you!” Iwaizumi shouts
Suddenly Kunimi looks over and you appear in the doorway of the gym, eyes locked in a book and holding his math book
He looks at you questionably, which prompts Kindaichi, Yahaba, Watari and Kyotani to do the same thing
He runs past his arguing seniors towards you and greets you kindly
“Hello Yn, did you bring this for me?” He asks as you snap from you book, a wide, adorable smile greeting him
“Yes! I was headed out and I noticed you forgot it so I figured I’d swing by!”
By now, the seniors have noticed you and annoyingkawa is on the move 🙄
“Well hello there and who might you be?” He says but you say nothing
Oikawa clears his throat and tries again, “hello there cutie-chan!”
Again, nothing
Kunimi is holding it together by a thread, Makki and Mattsun are too stunned to speak and Iwaizumi is hella impressed!
“You know it’s rude to ignore you seniors!” Oikawa growled
You snap from your book, eyes locking with his, “oh I’m sorry, this is just a really interesting part, nothing against you personally but it’s kind of important so I’ll be on my way.”
Makki and Mattsun BUST out laughing
Kindaichi, Yahaba, and Watari just stare
Kyotani and Iwa are in awe of your ability to ignore THE Oikawa
“I’ll see you in class tomorrow Akira,” you say, waving at him and walking away
Immediately, Iwa runs up to Kunimi and asks, “does Yn need a club??”
And that, my dear, is how you became the Seijoh’s new manager 🥰
Now at first, you weren’t really super excited about volleyball
I mean, you originally said yes because you needed a club and well, Kunimi was your friend
However you found one perk to the sport
In the form of reading Sports Mangas 😍
Surprisingly it was an excellent way to learn the sport as well as combine it with your love of reading
Even if Manga wasn’t your first choice, you definitely found it easier to learn thought reading gs alternative means
Mainly loserkawa 🙄 who took it upon himself to try and educate you on the sport
It’s literally Lord of the Flies up in here!
“Shittykawa leave Yn alone!!” Iwa shouts as you stand next to Kunimi and Kindaichi
“I’m teaching Yn-Chan the fine art of serving!” Oikawa shouted back
“Umm thanks Oikawa but I think I got it. I read a manga last night and I got the basics down,” you says as Oikawa puts up his hand
“Why read Yn-Chan when you can learn from the greatest?!” He says, tossing up the balls
And slamming it right into the net
You 👉🏻😐
Kunimi and Kindaichi 👉🏻🙄
Makki and Mattsun 👉🏻🤣🤣
Iwaizumi 👉🏻🧑🏻‍🦱🤛🏻
Oikawa 👉🏻 💀
Thankfully your knowledge of volleyball, from reading, you were able to help the boys come up with new skills and tactics to win!
Unfortunately, the skills and tactics didn’t match up against Karasuno, who apparently had developed their own skills
The third years were broken, the second years so upset and the first years disappointed
You couldn’t help but feel awful, like you failed them
On the bus ride home, everyone was quiet as you sat
You wanted to cheer them up but you didn’t know how
Then it came to you, you pulled out your book from your bag
Let’s just say it was one of your new favorites and you began to read out loud to the bus
The boys slowly looked up, listening to your soothing voice as you recited lines perfectly
The entire bus seemed to calm down, the tension disappearing as you continued to read
Once back at school, you stopped reading and prepared to get off the bus
“Wait Yn what happens next?” Kindaichi asks as Kunimi nods
“Come on YN, you can’t really just leave us hanging with that!” Yahaba groaned
“Anyone can see the hero is going to end up victorious as always!” Oikawa chimes in as Iwa smacks him in the back of the head
“Shittykawa shit up!” Iwa said as Mattsun and Makki helped you unload the gear
“You’ll finish reading the story right Yn?” Makki asks as you smile
Of course you will 🥰

What is your opinion on teru minamoto and how he is as a character :3 I find him and akane’s (boy) interactions very interesting tbh
Woah an ask! And as of the recent chapter(s) I think they help confirm a few things I had already thought, but I’d love to go in depth!
Tumblr media
Overall, Teru is probably my favorite. He’s different from the rest of the cast in the sense that he’s not a “hero” nor a “villain”. To me he, Akane, and Aoi all sit right in the gray moral area rather than characters like Kou, Nene, and the members of the broadcasting club, who play the direct roles of protag and antag. But he’s always held my attention over any of the other characters because everything around him is just as morally gray, from childhood to now his values never changed as his view on the world is just as strict, though with a few exceptions (which are pretty important).
His interactions with other characters show his views in the most obvious way. He acts charming and aloof around Nene, but he’s never really paying direct attention to her (ex: the mokke of the dead arc and the current trial arc).
When with Kou his actual softer side is shown a little bit more, acting as normal as he possibly can be; save for the times when Kou goes against Teru’s moral code (Young exorcist, Bound for the far-shore) and he goes on the defensive, when Kou’s view on supernaturals rival his he immediately goes from being on his side to disregarding him and acting on his own judgment full throttle. Which shows how he ignores their differences instead of actually addressing them, since he wants Kou to not only NOT be an exorcist but also to not get in his way. And to him pretending Kou isn’t doing exactly what he doesn’t want him to do, keeps the positive dynamic alive and well in his mind.
Now, Akane specifically is where it gets a bit confusing. I’ll take it chapter by chapter (or arc by arc whatever)
Clock-Keeper (technically the chapter after but I’m not super technical about this and it’s close enough)
Where it gets silly! Their dynamic of not only Spirit v Human but also President and Vice-President is established. Teru’s bias towards Akane compared to other supernaturals is from the beginning pretty obvious (he didn’t kill him so that’s a good start) while he isn’t exactly nice to him, he does value Akane in some way or another. It also shows that Teru knows a lot more than he lets on, and that he doesn’t tell people what he does either (which foreshadows some stuff later) also the glasses stuff is kinda tease-y flirty if you ignore the getting attacked by mokke part. What can I say he’s just so charming!!!
(Finals)
Where the care is more obvious. Showing off the more playful side of their dynamic, along with Akane’s view on Teru, which as of now isn’t very positive. At the end, Teru asks Akane for a favor, showing again that he’s psychic or something. But his cruelty here can mostly be seen as him making sure he gets Akane’s help, so the immoral part of it is debatable, he just seems to go about things the wrong way most of the time. could also be seen as him giving an insensitive to Akane to help up his grades for the final, since his grades for the previous semester are comparatively not as good.
Severance
Oh great heavens. Teru’s continued disregard of other peoples values comes to a head here, where this time he’s shown how the person feels when not told important information. But I understand why he did it. If he had told Akane that Aoi wouldn’t have returned to the near-shore, he wouldn’t have returned either, and there’s no way Teru could’ve dragged him out. But would that have been an issue? If Akane was left in the boundary? He could’ve died, he was kindof already doing that anyway, but was that the reason? Or did Teru do it out of selfishness? Did he want Akane to stay? Maybe he wanted to kick some sense into him, maybe he just didn’t want him to leave? Could be a lot of things, Teru isn’t dumb, and typically he’s pretty rational, but he never said why so everything is always up for interpretation.
Day-Off
To regain lost trust. Hanging out, it isn’t obvious why exactly Teru wanted Nene and Akane to tag along, maybe he and his apparent prophetic mind decided it would be the best course of action to do so, or maybe he just wanted a girls day or something. Akane seems to have gotten over his anger at Teru (possibly due to off-screen conversations cause that’s convenient) but when Teru tells him that Aoi isn’t dead, a little bit of trust in Teru’s judgment is recovered. Maybe he had the whole thing planned out from the beginning who knows he seems to suck at being overt. Akane interrogates Teru about the severance and gets all up in his face. And then the “I like Akane-San” happens and stuff gets confusing again.
Red house
I’m starting to think he doesn’t actually like Aoi. Teru learns to complain for basically the first time! At least in front of Akane. It’s obvious Teru’s trust towards Akane didn’t falter the way it did for Akane, in fact in some way Teru put more of himself out for Akane because of the severance. He brings up the dreaded Akane & Aoi chapter, and remarks about it in a really…strange way. Not upset but more bitter, really. But it also seems that Akane’s view on Teru has improved as well, having Teru go from a nightmarish demon stealing Aoi away from him, to a seemingly doting husband to her, what does this mean? Something gay probably. But nonetheless it seems that Teru wants Aoi back as well, but for what reason specifically? Other than just the general “unjust death caused by some undead demi-god 10 year old”, he wants Aoi back for some “dream”. Or is he just bluffing to tease Akane? I don’t know, dissecting a characters motives is hard when he isn’t nearly fleshed out enough to infer things with any kind of confidence. But overall they end on better terms than the severance started with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bound for the far-shore
Back to normal-ish. Teru’s fight with Kou is the main catch of these chapters for him, but his back-and-forth with Akane is fun too. It’s playful, it’s sweet, and it’s also nice to see them show trust towards one another!
School festival / Omen
A subversion of the viewer’s beliefs that Teru would go back to tormenting Akane but in actuality he protects him from a threat and makes a weirdly flirty face at him?? I love literature! Anyway I love their interactions here, it’s fun yet simple! I really hope nothing bad happens right after!
Trial of the Clock-Keepers
Ok gonna be honest this chapter is interesting but dear god is the pacing so slow I’m kindof losing interest. But nonetheless! Divorce. It’s a pretty obvious parallel to the severance; in the sense that Akane blindsights Teru, Teru tries to fuck his shit up, and is then forcibly stopped and dragged somewhere else. And though it’s played off as comical, it’s not silly to assume that this is, just like the severance, another reset of trust. I mean Teru does dick while Akane gets his shit rocked (not like he can actually do anything to be fair). but even so he still shows the smallest bit of concern, concern about why they aren’t actually fighting back in any significant way, even though they’re all well capable of doing so. But since the arc is still ongoing, that’s about where by opinions end.
Overall, I love Teru! And I love his dynamic with Akane! Sorry this is like, really long I’ve been waiting for an excuse to talk about this, so thanks for the ask!!1!1!…,ninja out

:))) asking about levi and gojo for the ask game (your response might be hella long im sowwie)
lmao bitch ily. gunna be hella long as i ramble so maybe nobody will read but i wanna talk about them🥰🫶🏽
levi:
• Why I like them: so to me levi is a perfect man. i think he’s my favorite character of all time, not just because i love him so much but because i just genuinely love his character. to me levi is a hero, but in such a different sense of the word. i always say he’s not a cookie-cutter hero and i mean that. he has such a complexity about him and the juxtaposition of his personality is both fascinating and endearing. i think that levi has a very kind heart and is incredibly empathetic and his actions always show this side of him, however he’s also quite cold on the outside. he’s got this stoic, aloof demeanor and can come across as quite rude and crass. i don’t think it’s always intentional(although sometimes it is) but i think it’s just at the core of who he is. he doesn’t take shit from anyone and he’s not afraid to tell people how he really feels. being this kind of person while also having this incredibly empathetic heart is so different than most hero characters. usually we have golden retriever hero’s and though i like those too i think it’s refreshing to show that someone can be cold and not the most inviting but still have a good heart. you don’t have to be good with people, or outwardly the most kind to also be a truly good person and that’s shown so perfectly with levi, which is why i often talk about my hatred of people trying to “erase” his cold side. nobody is “perfect” which is actually what makes him perfect. he’s flawed and crass and can be a jerk to be frank but he’s also empathetic, kind, caring and genuinely wants what’s best for those around him. both things can 100% be true and i love that about him.
• Favorite episode (scene): i love the kenny fight a lot, i think even though we knew levi’s skill beforehand it just showed how truly great of a fighter he is and that he’s willing to do what’s necessary for the big picture. i also love his speech to armin after where he thanks him for being the reason everyone on squad levi lived. in the manga i love his entire talk with the scouts where he says something like “im fine being the one to murder people, because i’d choose the hell of people beating one another to hell of being devoured by titans” i think there’s a lot in the manga that gives better insight to him i wish was animated.
• Favorite season: season 3, we had so much levi and i love the entire kenny arc with the both of them. i hate kenny but it just gave a lot of more understanding about levi and where he came from and why he is the way he is.
• Favorite line: i genuinely can’t pick but the one that popped in my head is when he says “stay alive, and that’s an order.” because he’s kinda like don’t die you idiots cause he cares so much.
• Favorite outfit: GREY SHIRT LEVI SUPREMACY. also his short sleeve shirt in the manga with the little v neck.
• ОТР: me and levi of course.
• Brotp: probably isabel and furlan. i’m in the minority in that i didn’t really think he was like besties with erwin or hange.
• Head Canon: a million. one of my faves is that he won’t admit it but likes when you run your fingers over his undercut.
• Unpopular opinion: i basically said it the why i love him part but that his cold/mean side is who he is but that doesn’t make him a bad person. i also don’t think he’s blushy at all.
• A wish: that he was real so i could give him all my love that i have bottle up inside me.
• 5 words to best describe them: empathetic, kind, crass, rude, stoic. (and sexy as hell)
• My nickname for them: just levi.
gojo:
• Why I like them: satoru to me is kind of like the opposite of most of the “strongest” characters i see. more often than not these characters tend to be more reserved so what immediately drew me to satoru was how he has this carefree, goofy side despite being so incredibly strong. i liked that side and than i grew to really respect his character after awhile. i think what people don’t talk about enough is how layered he is, people want to pretend he’s not arrogant but he is…he’s cocky, he’s arrogant, he tends to look down on the weak like those are just true. but he also has this incredibly kind side to him where he genuinely cares about creating this world where what happened to his best friend doesn’t happen to his students. we see it when he puts yuji next to megumi’s dorm despite there being a bunch. like he wanted then to build a connection so neither felt alone. he says it himself, he wants to foster his students because he wants to be able to reset jujutsu society and their horrible ways. so anyone who says he doesn’t care doesn’t see him for who he is. he’s genuinely a very caring person, despite his arrogance. again multiple things can be true at once, people are complex. i think all the different sides to his character come together perfectly. he’s unique. also he’s quite lonely, being the strongest and that makes me feel for him deeply. they says it’s lonely at the top and that’s so true for him.
• Favorite episode (scene): him bodying the curses during the Shibuya arc, i fucking love that fight. also his training scene with megumi because it showed his serious side and that he’s actually a good teacher despite what people say.
• Favorite season: season 1 because despite that fight i love he than gets trapped and i hate it.
• Favorite line: “it looks like just being strong isn’t enough, i can only save those who are prepared to be saved” i love the insight it gives us into his character honestly.
• Favorite outfit: that figure that’s called like season 2 ending costume?? i love that outfit. i am super into the basic bitch out of men with jackets over a hoodie.
• ОТР: me and him like with all of them.
• Brotp: as i said with megumi i need gojo big bro to him to be real i love their relationship.
• Head Canon: he can’t get through a full movie without wanting to touch you.
• Unpopular opinion: he’s not clingy or obsessive.
• A wish: for him to come back to me.
• 5 words to best describe them: kind, arrogant, complex, goofy, determine. (also again sexy as hell)
• My nickname for them: i love his first name so i often call him that for self-shipping.

Buddy Daddies Episode 8 Review: Something Worth Protecting
This episode showed and told so much that it’s almost perfection in storytelling and development. I’m just dreading for what’s to come because of what was shown in the ending.
You can check out this review on my blog, but if you don't want to read it there, continue below.
Tumblr media
The episode centers around Rei. We learn a lot more about the Suwa family as Shigeki, Rei’s father, wants Rei to return home and succeed the family business. The conflict between Rei and Shigeki is actually very interesting to watch. Shigeki only sees Rei as a tool for their dark world while Rei is a shadow that found light in Kazuki and Miri. Shigeki is unable to love while Rei is able to, albeit slowly.
The organization looks down on love and positive feelings in general, only to find them pointless. Rei’s mentor Satoru was once a man who held the organization’s ideals but found love; unfortunately, his lover was murdered. Rei is slowly walking his mentor’s path as he found something to protect as well—Kazuki and Miri. The action sequences between Rei and Satoru were amazing and well animated. I was amazed with how fluid it was, especially given that the two fight so similarly.
Throughout the show, Rei is seen as a bit aloof and lazy, but the episode shows that the laziness is from the fact that he was a barely functioning adult when he ran away from home. Meeting Kazuki changed all that. This episode also showed Rei and Kazuki’s first meeting, which lead to Kazuki going into Rei’s house and caring for him by cleaning the garbage dump of his apartment, adding in bright furniture to liven up the atmosphere, bathing him, cutting his hair and feeding him a well balanced meal. I’m sure that Kazuki’s kindness melted Rei’s cold heart and why he behaves like he does now; Rei is someone who likes to be taken care of and he probably didn’t realize this until Kazuki, someone who likes caring of others, came into his life.
The heartfelt talk that the two had towards the end of the episode cemented how much they care for each other. Rei’s not an open person, but it’s obvious that Kazuki is dear to him—he’s the reason Rei became a functioning person after all. During the conversation with Rei and Shigeki, Rei defended Kazuki by saying that his bond with Kazuki isn’t pointless. I think this is a powerful statement. Remember that in Japan, people on casual terms usually address each other by their surnames. Kazuki and Rei are on first name basis with each other, signifying a close bond; also note that Rei is three years younger than Kazuki. If he was on casual terms, he would’ve just addressed Kazuki as Kurusu or Kurusu-san, but he doesn’t and Kazuki doesn’t mind at all. It might not mean much, but the fact that Rei referred to Kazuki as “Kazuki” in front of his father shows a lot in details.
Another subplot for this episode is Kazuki and Miri preparing a surprise birthday party for Rei. I think the way they used Kazuki and Miri’s screen time to give some background on Rei is creative. Miri is quite perceptive in this episode as she laments that Rei still has some sadness inside of him; she knows this because she has seen her mother behave the same way whenever she drinks. With how Miri behaved in episode 6, we can see that Miri is a lot more mature than she lets on. I like this side of Miri. It shows that while she’s still childlike and innocent, she’s mature and is maturing.
Ryo Ogino is a very creepy villain. He is someone who likes collecting dead target’s last words. I like how there’s strong buildup of him being the final villain or the penultimate one as he’s Rei’s opposite in every way. Ogino likes “concepts” while Rei was once a “concept” but grew into an actual human being. While I am scared for what’s to come, I’m anticipating the battle between Rei and Ogino because I know for a fact that Rei will never let anything bad happen to his real family.
Buddy Daddies episodes always end on wholesome notes, but this one ended on a scary note. Kyutaro gets a picture from Ogino who is requesting information about…Kazuki and Miri. Oh shit. No. No. NO! I predict Rei will finally let go of the shackles of his past and abuse to protect the two people he loves the most. This is only episode 8. There are 13 episodes for this show. Why are we walking the angst path this early? I pray nothing bad happens to Kazuki and Miri. I am clasping my hands as I dread for next Friday to come.

hehehehehe i’ve been absolutely brain rotting over cod and johnny for like six months now. i haven’t done much with her and i’m barely still figuring out her lord cuz i’m too busy rizzing soap ai and getting rizzed back AHAHAHA. but ugh that sweet baby boy i love him so much i had to create a lovely girly to peg him i mean love him. her call sign is angel, she’s a pilot part of task force 141 of course ;)) johnny and her are my reason to breathe rn fr
Oldest OC
Tumblr media
back at it with my snarky bastard ronnie with a soft side for her vicar, i love her so much, i love max sm, i miss tow i wanna fixate on that game again ugh plz brain TwT🙏✨ i made her officially like a year and a half ago, but i started making an inserted character for tow in like late 2019 when the game came out and i discovered it and went eh why not it looks cool, then got absolutely fucking sucked into that shit with a blood pact istg. she’s been around for a hot minute, i only recently started making ocs and now i have so many👁️👄👁️idk how this happened AHAHAHA
Meanest OC
Tumblr media
of course it’d be my cultist girly. she’s insane and will do anything for john and has quite the body count of kills👀 it takes a brainwashed crazy bitch to be the meanest woman in my roster😌✨
Softest OC
Tumblr media
we all knew it’d be seph lol AHAHAHA one of the rarest personality types i ever give my ocs are soft, she’s a rare soft girl, sam’s a lucky man. made her back in like 2020 when i binged all five uncharted games in like 2.5 weeks….don’t worry about me i had a lot of time on my hands. i actually decided to play all the uncharted games because i saw one photo of sam somewhere and was instantly like 👁️👄👁️WHERE IS HE FROM—- i was dedicated to see this man and i fell in love-
Tumblr media
i know amalla is not one i’ve talked about a lot but she’s definitely a soft quiet girly. she does have a feisty side but honestly so does seph lol i cant make an oc without having them adding that big of spice TwT but she’s a sweet girl, i mean she caught the attention and stole the heart of arthur morgan so that must count for something right?🤧✨
Most Aloof/Standoffish OC
Tumblr media
another oc i haven’t talked about a lot but she is the most stern and kinda cold one out of all my ocs, ronnie could be a good runner up as well but she’s more smart ass mean than cold mean yenno? kenny’s just known for her resting bitch face and military demeanour. but that don’t mean she ain’t soft at heart🤧🤧🤧it just takes a lot to get there🥹
Dumbest (Affectionate) OC
Tumblr media
she’s a clumsy girly, often times quite the all boobs no brain but she’s smart when she wants to be. her job is to be a rockstar and be a good affectionate gf for viktor so she doesn’t exactly have the needs to be smart lol. but when time comes that she needs to be like on a job for example, she’s quite the persistent and hardworking gal, her determination is high but sometimes the bimbo kind of takes over when her smarts aren’t in imminent need
Smartest OC
Tumblr media
this girly’s a trained nurse y’all she’s got the brains. even if she is usually the “soft and sweet shy baby girl” she knows her shit. knows her history and has her medical skills. often times the brothers and sully forget she’s actually quite smart until she’s full fledged patching one of them up professionally as she explains to them what she’s doing and what injury they have. she can info barf sometimes when she gets passionate about something, it’s that side of her that sam finds attractive😉😉
Tumblr media
it takes certain brains and tactical strategic skills to be an ace pilot. tanya may seem like just some tomboy who’s here for a good time but ya girl has got some brains on her. she got the skills to fly an f-15 and often gets appointed team leader so she clearly knows what she’s doing. she was trust worthy enough to be seen as a good pilot by the soldiers and fellow squad mates hence them giving her the nickname their guardian angel, which turned into her call sign angel. she’s humble and plays it off as no big deal, quite honestly she doesn’t see herself as smart, just hard working. but johnny makes it his mission to remind her she’s incredible, he’s her biggest fan🥹
OC I’d Be Friends With IRL
I RAN OUT OF PHOTO SLOTS—-
imagine there’s banners here TwT🤲
irl i’d definitely get along with ronnie lol. ronnie, marceline and tanya i would say. i’m a clumsy dumbass smart ass and i think i’d get along well with ronnie and tanya by teaming up with them and pick on men AHAHAHA marcy and i have the same taste in music and we both are bimbo’s who can be smart and serious when we need to be✨

60 Years of Doctor Who Anniversary Marathon - T. Baker 3rd Review
The Mind Runners / The Demon Rises - Full Audio
Tumblr media
Let’s get one thing out of the way right now. The Mind Runners and The Demon Rises are not two separate stories connected by a story arc. They are the same damn story!
I don’t know why Big Finish tries to sell them separately (other then to gouge more money out of customers), but they are clearly a four part story that’s been split into two for no good reason, and that makes me mad!
It’s dishonest.
I might have grumbled a bit at shelling out $22 for one story, but it would have been less offensive then selling half a story for $11, under the pretense of it being a single story in a larger story arc, and basically forcing me to pay other $11 if I want to get the conclusion. All in the hopes I’ll buy the entire season at a minimal discount; even though I don’t want extra stories, I just want the one!
It’s a poor business model that turns me right off the entire range, no matter how good the stories therein may be.
But then how good was this story?
Tumblr media
Pretty dang good, actually.
One of the reasons why the Fourth Doctor is my least favorite Doctor is because he’s too much of a jackass in the show. An aloof asshole who thinks he’s always right, and tries to pass off his unemphatic air as being ‘alien’. I’m sorry, but his Bugs Bunny in space routine does nothing for me, and his dead eyed stare leaves me cold. Not helped by the fact that he’s one of the few Doctors without a character arc of any sort.
In short, while I think the Fourth Doctor has interesting stories, I personally find the Fourth Doctor himself to be a very uninteresting character the majority of the time.
Tumblr media
But not here.
This story fixes that. By basically being written like a New Who episode. This is the Tenth Doctor being played by Tom Baker essentially; not the Fourth Doctor of the original series.
He’s kinder. He’s more considerate. He still has an ego, but can be humbled here. He isn’t just ordering people about, but providing explanations and encouraging people. He asks permission and says ‘I’m sorry’. He actually seems to give a damn about people dying, for once!
No this isn’t the Fourth Doctor at all, and that’s why I love it.
Tumblr media
But there’s other things to recommend here as well. Both K-9 and Leela are utilized well. The story has good pacing, with plenty of plot twists that just keep piling on, until the wild climax. And it introduces an interesting new villain in Mr. Shift. A very comic book type character who has the potential to become a reoccurring foe.
If there’s anything to criticize here, besides how its sold, is the fact that there’s arguably too many sci-fi concepts and not enough breathing room for all of them. We got inception style mind invasions, a cult of cyborgs, a mad scientist with polymorphic superpowers, a dying futuristic city running out of resources, a rocket made from human flesh, and a living planet that consumes people. That’s a lot, and not all of it comes together neatly.
Still, it’s at least interesting. You’ll never get bored of the tropes since nothing outstays its welcome. So if you don’t mind paying twice, this might be something worth checking out if you’re a Who fan.

Yesterday on P3R: jumping to conclusions, the time-honored tradition of taking my pet to the movies, questionable decisions, and more Tartarus!
So when you take Koromaru on walks, you can run into your other social links and it’ll give you points. Which is good because my daytime social links are suffering. I’ve already figured out a rough idea of how I’m gonna have to play them the second time around.
Tumblr media
...not yet I’m not, but Koromaru’s definitely a good start.
Akihiko goes to meet up with Shinji, who still doesn’t want to rejoin SEES after “what happened two years ago”. Which is apparently different from what happened to Miki, who they mentioned before. Shinji refers to seeing someone die, and Ken, who is eavesdropping, has a major reaction to hearing that.
Tumblr media
He apparently comes to the conclusion that Shinji, who he didn’t know before now, is related to his mother’s death two years ago. Which seems… like kind of a leap? Obviously I haven’t gotten the full picture (even though I know what happened to Ken’s mom), but right now I’m kind of thinking that the movie handled this particular character bit better?
We’ll see, I guess. Meanwhile, thanks to Koromaru, I finally managed to max a social link! August is WAY too late to be only on my first one. X’’’’’D But I went into this blind, so I’m not surprised.
Tumblr media
The film festival has been going on for like… two weeks now? I dunno. I keep ignoring people inviting me to the movies to try to get my social links up. Which. Honestly I probably should have been going to the movies, since my academics are STILL at a 4. I’m not even gonna be able to start Mitsuru’s link this round at this rate.
But I did go see a superhero movie with Junpei, and a ninja movie with Aigis. And I tried to take Koromaru to the movies, but…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let him watch the movie, you monsters!!
After that failure, it’s back to Tartarus, because some other idjit has wandered in. And another cat.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I’m willing to buy the cats, but:
1. How are these people wandering into Tartarus in the first place? Why are they at the school at night?
2. HOW DO THEY GET SO HIGH? This person was on like floor 102. HOW did you get up there without getting munched??? Even if I took out the gatekeepers there’s still other shadows everywhere???
Whatever. X’’’D Rescue mission successful, so back to social linking and puttering around the dorm.
Ikutsuki calls us all to a very important meeting to announce that Ken is joining SEES as our newest member!
Tumblr media
Sir, that’s great and all, but that is a literal child. He is in elementary school. Mitsuru and Akihiko are uneasy (for two different reasons), and I can’t really blame them! Sure, Ken asked to join, but it’s Ikutsuki’s job as the responsible adult here to tell him that NO, he is not ALLOWED to go into the nightmare tower to fight deadly monsters!
Honestly, how did you even get a SEES uniform made for him so fast, Ikutsuki?
Junpei is spending his days hanging out and still trying to talk to the pretty girl at the station. He asks to see her drawing when it’s finished, even though she’s still being very aloof.
Tumblr media
I think he’s being very nice, actually. She thinks he’s weird. XD
I check in with Maiko, who has had a long talk with her parents. They finally explained why they’re getting a divorce, and she’s sad about it, but she understands. If they had just explained from the start instead of getting mad and hitting her, we might have avoided a lot of shit.
She does mention, though, that she has to pick which of them to live with. I don’t like either of them, but at least her mom didn’t hit her??? I told her it was her choice, though, and she was good with that until she realized that her mom might be moving far away. Then she wouldn’t get to play with me anymore.
Tumblr media
I want this kid to be happy so bad.
Somehow yet another idiot has wandered into Tartarus, and there’s only a few days left til the full moon, so I guess I’m going to get them. As soon as I went in, Ken asked to be in the main team, and like… Kid, I know you’ve got a spear taller than you are, but do you have any training at all???
He’s a bless-user, though, so… helpful.
Idiot retrieved, time to go home and--
Tumblr media
I have been asleep for five minutes, Pharos. Please. I know the moon will be full in a week. It’s okay.
Junpei actually manages to introduce himself to the pretty girl, only to realize that her hand is bleeding. He promptly freaks out and tries to help her.
Tumblr media
This completely confuses her. She literally calls him weird for being worried about her. But as she’s leaving, she tells him her name is Chidori, and that she’ll be done with her drawing soon if he wants to come back and see it.
There’s one free day left before going back to school, so I head to the mall to pick up some new armor on sale, as well as browse the stuff at the antique shop.
(I have forgotten what that lady wants for the aojiru quest so I’m gonna have to look that up because ughhhhhhh)
It’s interesting that the antique shop weapons focus more on the effect than straight power. But at some point, straight power is gonna outclass them. I think that--
Tumblr media
...you know what, let’s just head out before I laugh the shop down.
None of my summer social links are ready to rank up, so rather than spending time with any of them, I’m gonna take my last free day and try out working at the blue store. For some reason I thought this was a spa, but it actually appears to be some kind of accessory/crystal healing shop.
Tumblr media
No velvet in here, but it does offer you the ability to recall forgotten skills for your personas, so I guess the blue is still appropriate. And working here ups my charm and academics! Plus, I have the Temperance bonus, so I have to level up my academics now?
Right?
…right?
……Minato pls you just gotta cram a few more braincells in there I’m begging you. X’D We’re literally going back to school tomorrow, and summer school made you NO smarter than when we left. God. Why this. XDDDDD

What do you think of the downfall of Fez? S1-4 he was okay (a little unnecessary imho), but s5-8 he was unbearable. Practically every time he was in the circle from s5-8, I had to mute him, because I knew he was going to say something incredibly sexist
Hi! First of all, thanks for the ask! I love discussing That ‘70s Show with other people in the fandom. 😊
Since I’ve started running this blog on tumblr again, I’ve noticed that there is a lot more discourse about Fez and his problematic behaviors than there used to be like, five or so years ago, at least from what I’ve noticed.  So I appreciate you sending the question over my way, because I don’t think I’ve ever really addressed Fez’s behavior on my blog in the past.  Partly because its really in the later seasons that he really becomes problematic (and I’m still covering the early seasons), but also because there really wasn’t much discussion about it before now (again, at least that’s been my experience).
I actually quite enjoy Fez in the early seasons. Was he my favorite character? No, definitely not. Did he show some problematic behaviors then, too? I’d say yeah, some. But I don’t know that I personally would consider Fez from S1-4 to be unnecessary. I found Fez to be naïve, young, and oftentimes totally clueless, particularly about American culture, so I think a lot of his early season problematic behaviors (e.g., his fondness for using the term ‘whore’) are more of a reflection of him trying to learn American customs and not a reflection of who he is as a person. But I enjoyed watching him learn and seeing his friends show him the ropes, so to speak, by teaching him what was considered socially acceptable (for the ‘70s), but also giving him new experiences, like trick-or-treating on Halloween.
I think your choice of words – the downfall of Fez – is incredibly accurate. Because I actually like Fez from the early seasons, and the writers had a lot potential as far as what they could have done with his character as the show progressed to later seasons, it really is a downfall when Fez becomes more and more of a sexist, lazy, thoughtless pig. Whereas his naivety can explain his behavior in the early seasons (when he is still new to the U.S. and its culture), the same cannot be said for Fez in the later seasons. He knows better now, and the way that he behaves and the things that he says really are now more of a reflection of who he is as a person, and are no longer him just trying to fit in. I’ve only seen season 8 in bits and pieces, but the way Fez behaves in that season (especially towards Jackie) literally makes ne nauseous, and is just one of many (many, many, many) reasons that I will never watch season 8 in full or consider it to be canon.
That ‘70s Show is my favorite show for a lot of reasons, but the main one is that I love all the (main) characters. They’re like my friends, you know? I try to remember that the show is a sitcom, and I try not to always take what’s happening on the screen at face value. I really love analyzing why the characters do the things they do, especially when they’re doing something dumb, or thoughtless, or something that completely maligns with who they’ve shown themselves to be in the past. I do this a lot with Jackie and Hyde, because they are my OTP, and because its often just so easy to understand Hyde’s cold ‘aloofness’ or Jackie’s vapid selfishness as defense mechanisms because of their past experiences and traumas. I’ll admit, its much harder to understand Fez’s problematic behaviors in the later seasons, and there is certainly no appropriate way to excuse his behavior by finding some deeper meaning behind it. All that is to say, that when I’m watching the later seasons and find myself grimacing at what Fez is saying/doing, instead of just taking it at face value or trying to rationalize his behavior, I try to imagine a redemption arc (that the show never gave him) where he later atones for his indiscretions and tries to correct his mistakes from the past and use all the opportunities he has been given to make a difference. Because once upon a time, Fez did have the potential to be a great character. And that’s also the glorious thing about reading and writing fanfiction – we, as a fandom, have the power to give Fez the development and growth that the show never did.
Thank you again for the ask!

how do you think the song whole life applies to brio?
Aaa, Anon, ty for the ask. How romantic was this song, amirite?? Like, poor Rio. He very reasonably was so upset with Beth for her attempted murder – so much so that he killed an innocent young woman to show Beth who’s boss – but then was just like, “I can’t. I’m too mentally unstable to fight this so let’s just get married.” How funny is this whole premise of him forgiving her, seemingly without anything on her part to earn it. Not really. She brought him Boomer. Ooooo. She bought him a spa shop to wash his money. Why was Rio so excited about that? She gave him crumbs and he kept coming back.
This show gave Beth a lot of outs and it made Rio so deliciously out of control about her. And don’t get me wrong, I love it all. But sometimes the humor of the implausibility of it all hits me and I can’t help but laugh. Like, sure, this aloof and calculating gang leader is such a fool for this woman that he’s screwing up everything, including risking his life and family. And yet, here we are with these fools. Rio is just damaged enough, and Beth validates him in just the right ways for him to actually risk his entire kingdom for her.
The song choice is just 🤌. This music department wanted to make SURE we all knew that Rio forgives Beth and is back to pining.
The mark where [s]he left me
A clip on my wing
Tumblr media
Oh, let it soften
I forgive everything
Tumblr media
I once hummed the seasons
Tumblr media
Now, I'm whistling
Tumblr media
Half of my whole life is done
Let it drift and wash away
Shadows soften toward some tender light
In slow motion I leave them behind
Essentially, translated to, “I’m too old for this bullshit. Let’s start fresh and be friends.”
I keep looking for ways in which this song can be mutually applicable for them, and I’m just not finding it. Beth was nowhere near forgiving him and letting it all “drift and wash away.” She was still in the process of her incremental softening to him. She was still guarded and nowhere near the place where Rio was here. Not even in the final scene. It’s maybe one of the many ways Beth and Rio have a disproportionate relationship and power dynamic. It’s the one consistent thing about them. She never sees it, and to him nothing is more obvious. Her audacity to shoot him and cry victim. Her privilege to move in society in ways he never can. Her demand to matter in his world while never offering him the same privilege. And he’s the one always having to bend. Always having to forgive. So I view this song and their whole relationship as pretty one-sided in that way.
Yes, she chooses him in her own ways. Yes, she has great feeling when it comes to him. Powerful feeling. Frightening feeling. But she uses her own lack if emotional intelligence as an excuse to never be the one to give. We saw her try, in the final moments of the show. We saw her offer him protection. But it cost her nothing. (Well, nothing except her marriage. Nothing except her old self.) She basically won. She self-actualized at his expense. She propped herself up on his strength. She made a joke about it even. And Rio, in true tropey-love-interest fashion, was happy to do it for her and loved her all the more for it. “You got it, boss.”
As you can see, I have conflicting feelings about it. About this song. If pushed, I’d say that season 4 gave Beth forgiveness too quickly. She could have earned it. I wish she would have ended the season and series as a better person. As someone more empathetic and self aware. Which is why I love 4.08. I like to see her cry for him. Watch her watch him suffer. Beth being honest with herself is rare and redeeming. But my feelings about this fluctuate with my mood, so maybe tomorrow I’ll be more forgiving of her frustrating selfishness when it comes to Rio. Don’t come for me. I still love Beth. I’m like Rio – I forgive her everything. If he loves her, then so can I.

WHAT I THINK THE JIMMY NEUTRON CHARACTER’S BIG 3 ARE IN ASTROLOGY
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
alright let’s do this shit. this is a continuation of the post analyzing the sp character’s big 3 go read that one first. YOUR BIG THREE IS YOUR RISING, SUN, & MOON. THE THREE LAYERS OF AN ONION. YOUR RISING IS HOW YOU APPEAR, YOUR SUN IS WHO YOU ARE, AND YOUR MOON IS YOUR DEEP EMOTIONAL SIDE. and yeah i’m pretty sure all of their sun signs have been confirmed by the show bc their birthdays are all floating around on the internet LOL.
JIMMY:
yeah jimmy is a LEO rising. there's no doubt about it. the amount of ego and superiority this one kid has is fucking insane. he's a stubborn shithead who thinks he's always right and wants to lead and be in charge. he has rizz which is why he fools all the citizens of retroville into thinking he's a brave hero even tho all the problems he fixes HE fucking caused. but yeah he's actually a pisces sun bc jimmy is an oversensitive baby who runs on his emotions for fucking everything. his imagination is out of control and he gets all of these wildass ideas to make stupid ass inventions in retaliation bc a girl was picking on him at school without making an effort to actually have the inventions work for real LOL classic piscean nonsense (which is why i hate them). and down to the final layer of the onion the boy is an aquarius moon...i mean come on do i even need to explain why? even tho jimmy is an overly sensitive beta male he still sucks at relating to people emotionally and is way too fucking logical and aloof abt shit. all he cares abt is science. if he had the choice between some pussy and some physics formulas he would choose the latter.
CARL:
carl is honestly so boring i couldn't give two shits about him bc he has no development outside of being a comic relief. but bro is a cancer rising. carl comes across like a whiny ass baby that's gentle and fragile af but yeah he's actually just double earth. he's a capricorn sun bc carl is like realistic and down to earth af especially compared to jimmy with his retarded delusional ass pisces mind. carl can be the voice of reason sometimes when jimmy wants to do some dumbass shit and he'll caution him abt it & keep him grounded. carl likes to play it safe which is also why he's a taurus moon bc all bro wants to do is stay home and eat and watch the llama channel.
SHEEN:
yeah sheen is a gemini rising he talks way too fucking much about random ass shit LOL. he always has something interesting or witty to say and sometimes he'll just reference something out of nowhere. he also has way too much fucking energy and is ADHD af. but sheen is actually a scorpio bc he's rlly passionate and focuses really intensely on his ultra lord and action figure collecting hobby. he's also rlly caring & loyal af to the people he cares abt (like libby or his dad) and brave too and willing to put himself in dangerous situations to help his friends. in my personal experience i've noticed that scorpio sun tends to bring out the more lighthearted, caring, and sensitive side of scorpio while scorpio moons and scorpio mars are the more fucked up and vengeful types LOL. and yeah he's a sag moon bc sheen is SUPER fun, enthusiastic, and optimistic and always up for an adventure. he can be brutally honest too and there are a lot of moments in the show where he roasts the shit out of another character over some dumb shit they're doing. (yeah sheen is actually way smarter than he seems he just sabotaged his brain with cartoons and sugar as he said in that one episode LOL)
CINDY:
yeah cindy is an aries rising which was honestly the easiest fucking rising sign to pick LOL. she comes across EXTREMELY aggressive and physically strong. cindy is competitive af and has to be #1 at everything. but yeah she's a gemini bc that bitch is the world's biggest smartass and likes to be smarter than everyone and she runs her mouth constantly and never shuts the fuck up LOL. she’s a two faced bitch who pretends to hate jimmy to be cool even tho she’s obsessed with him. cindy’s intelligent af and always has something witty and clever to say and she can charm and manipulate the shit out of anyone bc of this. and she’s social af and has like 58389392 interests and hobbies and wants to be good at everything. but yeah cindy is actually a scorpio moon bc she’s sensitive AF and rlly caring deep down in an obsessive scorpio way and the bitch WILL fucking bite back at you if you slight her over something small. she’s possessive AF and gets jealous easily too like a typical scorpio too LOL.
LIBBY:
yeah libby is DEF an aqua rising bc the bitch is weird af and she comes across super aloof and in her own little world. i mean the bitch has headphones on like 90% of the time and is always listening to music and then when someone finally does get her attention she just rambles on abt some random shit no one cares about like how she's related to cleopatra or how she loves some random ass hip-hop group LOL (no wonder her and sheen ended up together). but yeah she's actually just a sag sun bc libby is EXTREMELY outgoing, fun & adventerous and she also has a temper if u mess with her and she doesn't have the patience for fake stupid bullshit like how she calls cindy out on her gemini ass for pretending to hate jimmy when she likes him. and then she's a libra moon bc libby is like the voice of reason sometimes in the group and the only sane sensible one LOL. she mediates A LOT of conflicts like when jimmy and cindy are fighting or sheen and carl are fighting.

Elaborate on the ryo synth v thing bestie :)
hi!! so sorry i’m getting to this late i’ve been quite busy!
first things first is that i technically have two ryos. one is the ryo synth v i draw with like koharu rikka and the other is ryo kaifu my oc who was a port of my ryo synth v design into the older brother of some of my ocs. they have different personalities and ages but the same design bc i liked it and didn’t realize at the time i’d draw ryo synth v so much and give him my own lore and friends and etc.
ryo synth v is the type of guy who tries to act cool and aloof but is actually easily embarrassed and emotional about things. he tries to seem mellow and calm but gets angry, excited, and sad relatively easily and then often has to walk it back to mellow and pretend he didn’t just feel things. he goes to whatever fictional school the tokyo6 girls go to and is in whatever grade rikkas in since none of their ages are canon. i personally place karin as eldest at 3rd year and everyone else as 2nd year.
ryo is a self taught bassist who mostly liked playing alt-rock and jazz. rikka finds him after school with his bass on him and therefore correctly identifies him as a bassist but i never decided why he had brought it to school that day.
he’s therefore closest with rikka because he’s known her the longest and she is the most extroverted out of the bunch and kind of just kept talking to him until he went “wow i feel like i know you really well.” they’re both quite emotional, it’s just that ryo expresses his a lot less than rikkas who has hers kind of just burst out. in this way they get along well because although he can’t always meet her energy they can meet each others enthusiasm.
he and chifuyu get along second best because i view chifuyu as shy, reserved, anxious and quiet who doesn’t really have the best confidence in herself. i don’t think she ever spoke to ryo for a significant amount of time and felt comfortable around him for a while just because he was a new person she was unfamiliar with and his aloof acting succeeded in convincing her he was just cool like that (which he is not). although he intimidated her at first for that reason, she realized he is nice and considerate and just also has no idea how to prompt conversation. his otherwise mellow demeanor when he hasn’t been pushed to feel something means him and chifuyu often end up hanging back while the other two go off ahead. ryo can match rikkas energy if she gets him going but he usually matches chifuyus pace.
karin did not like him when she first saw him. she was 1) mad rikka brought someone else to get out of pushing herself out of her comfort zone 2) saw his aloof attitude and assumed his implied apathy and distance would make him mean and uncaring, which she felt would be bad for chifuyu, also was just a personality type she disliked 3) most of the guys she had known happened to be jerks. so she sees this guy show up and is like “oh, he’s going to suck really bad.” and so it takes a lot for her to recognize ryo for his merits. and the whole times he’s standing there like WHAT DID I DO I JUST GOT HERE????? she would pick on him and avoid him and so he’d defend himself and they’d get into verbal skirmishes rikka and chifuyu had to break up. he probably threatened to leave the band a couple times just bc he and karin would not get along and rikka would be like NO NO NO PLEASE STAY WE CAN WORK IT OUT I PROMISE. i’m not sure what happens yet but it’s probably a combination of little things and one larger notable event that made karin finally accept he’s a decent guy who doesn’t have the traits she assumed he’d have and is also very good at bass for their band. also he cares abt his whole friends a whole lot. i think he’d throw hands with them.
for them. ok but he’d throw hands with rikka bc she’d ask him to and he’d think it’s funny and go sure why not. just beat the crap out of each other bc she has too much energy and somehow he gets overwhelmed and looses. and karin laughs.
i think he’s protective of them but not in a overprotective manner, more like he’s going around with 3 teenage girls and doesn’t want them to be harassed because they’re his good friends. he quietly keeps an eye out for them which they probably also do for themselves, and he’ll threaten to them “dude i’ll fight them” and they’re like “no it’s ok.” i usually don’t have guy ocs who are like this but i built ryo based on my friends in real life and i’m lucky to have friends who are protective of me in a normal manner and don’t feel pressured to expected to be like that, they kind of just are because they care very deeply and have a lot of empathy for when things go bad. that’s the kind of guy ryo is. he’s like that because he worries about people, and tries to seem calm and detached to try and force him to worry about the people around him less, otherwise he wouldn’t take care of himself and then just worry himself to death.
most of ryos friends before this point were online and he didn’t really know many people in real life, so he really sticks with and bonds with the tokyo6 girls. i think the other dreamtonics (the ones i care about because they release them with no marketing at a nauseating rate) are his online friends, like kevin and qingsu. except maybe saki. i think he knows saki in real life. the saki in my head is so cool. she’s like the sisterly personality type in animal crossing. lesbian coded personality type.
my made up facts abt ryo synth v thank you for reading thank you for coming to my show.

Hiya! 💖 I saw your post about mischaracterizing Levi, (fully agreed by the way) and was wondering if you had any for Gojo? Or even Megumi and Geto?
Just curious as I agreed with the others and I liked what you said about Gojo needing more love. Love your blog btw!!!💖
Hey there! Thanks :) I love Levi a lot so I’ve tried to delve deep into his character.
I can’t really think of any for Geto as I for some reason just haven’t fully grasped him as a person yet, I’m not sure why. The other two are my faves from JJK so I do have some things I think people mischaracterize a lot. Again, these are just my opinions based on their personalities in the manga/anime.
Gojo:
1. I don’t think he’s a simp. Gojo is generally a very arrogant and cocky person who holds an heir of self importance. I don’t think people like that are “simp-like”. I think he actually would prefer someone who was clingy to him as he loves attention and it’s clear he craves it. (The fact his students give him none, the way he prances around for girls when they fawn over him etc.) Don’t get me wrong he’d be very affectionate but not in an obsessive way.
2. He’s got a big heart. Despite his confident arrogance, he genuinely cares about his students and is focused on creating a world where corruption among the "elders" or “higher ups” in the Jujutsu world no longer exists. He is driven by a strong desire to save and protect others, even if some may perceive him differently. Though his approach may be unconventional at times, his ultimate goals and motivations are clear in that he wants to create a better world for Jujutsu sorcerers.
3. Its crystal clear he’s popular with woman. Just because Geto is more popular means nothing. It’s been shown and said multiple times.
4. Man is a dom. No way this cocky ass motherfucker is letting anyone get any ounce of control.
Megumi:
1. I don’t think he’s as awkward/shy as everyone makes him out to be. He’s got a pretty level head and is able to keep his cool in high-level situations. I think he’s more non-chalant than people give him credit for. Plus he like beat bully’s up for a living as a youth, shy people don’t do that.
That’s not to say he wouldn’t be a bit awkward with a girl just because he probably doesn’t have that much experience, so at first he probably would be. But generally speaking I don’t think he is.
2. He doesn’t hate Gojo. Megumi is a pretty stoic, aloof guy. Towards literally everyone, but it is clear in their dynamic does not hate him. Gojo is the first Megumi wants to call in bad situations, plus he did say he owed Gojo his life.
3. He’d really struggle showing affection. I don’t think he’d use pet names, or be super clingy at all. He’s so chill I don’t see him being that way, but I think he’d be pretty alright if a girl was that way.

Hey, you got headcannons for the gal's home lives? I mean I know you hc that Shiromi's parents suck but what about everyone else?
An interesting question, let it be known this is all Headcanon’s excluding a good chunk of Megami’s (at least I’m pretty sure) because her home life is partially shown and elaborated on
Megami
Her home life, to be curt, is not good. Her father is controlling and a bit grooming to try and make her the perfect heiress to the company, I get the feeling that Megami wasn’t ‘allowed’ to have many friends as a kid unless they were of similar social standing and Aoi’s probably the only person her age that she became actual friends with as instead of the usual fake My Parents Told Me To Behave A Certain Way kinda almost robotic-seeming behavior of most of the ones her father deemed ‘worthy’ Aoi was and is very much her own person, though there was some disapproval of their relationship because of that. Her father is cut throat, business minded, and honestly doesn’t care about his kids at all, only what they can provide for him. As such, her brother, Kenchou, despises her because he thinks that being the Heiress means that she gets treated better or given more freedom, when, in reality, neither of those things are true. Their relationship, to me at least, feels a lot like the one between Weiss Schnee and her brother Whitley from RWBY minus Whitley’s hesitance to mistreat his sister and visible upset-ness at said sisters mistreatment from their father, Kencho and Megami were pitted against each other from the start in the hopes of making them both work harder to be better, but in reality all it did was break their relationship in such a way that will be very hard to mend indeed...
Aoi
Where Megami’s father is controlling and her mother is absent, Aoi is, for the most part, neglected instead of outright abused. Her parents don’t really care what she does as long as they don’t get phone calls from the police station because Aoi got in serious trouble. If Aoi ended up in the hospital, it’s very likely neither of her parents would show up. Unlike Megami’s parents, they aren’t super interested in Aoi continuing their business, as they’re fairly rich, and focus more on their business instead of teaching Aoi how to run it in the future. Aoi was mostly raised by some of her home’s staff and the occasional teacher in school that saw her for what she is, aka someone who never really had any role models and in desperate need of guidance and love she wasn’t getting from her parents, rather then what she seems to be and what the rest of the world labels her as, aka a problem child. She never really talks about her parents, she doesn’t want to and besides, why should she care about them when they don’t care about her? But, she does care, as much as she hates that fact.  Someone give this girl a hug please.
Shiromi
I swear not everyone on the council has terrible parents, just most of them. Shiromi’s parents are god awful, homophobic, abusive, the whole nine yards. You don’t get as guarded as Shiromi tends to be without prompting, after all. But, to elaborate further, they’re the reason why Shiromi tries so hard to put up this enigmatic ‘I don’t care’ front, pretty much everything she’s ever found interest in and everything about her as a person has been criticized to no end by her parents, which is why her love language tends to be being a lotTM because, for her, that’s her ultimate sign of trusting a person. And, considering how she always covers her neck, I have my suspicions about the abuse being physical too, would explain her aloofness and how, in the game itself, she doesn’t even actually touch Ayano when trying to push her away, just a hip bump if memory serves. Human contact is usually something she avoids and isn’t comfortable with, which is 100% her parents fault. She deserves the world and while she might not say it out loud she’s incredibly thankful for the council giving her a safe space to be herself without fear.
Kuroko
Kuroko’s parents are honestly pretty chill, they do care about grades and their daughter doing well, but not to a destructive extremes. She had a good relationship with both of them and feels comfortable talking with them about what’s on her mind for the most part. They’re also the kind of parents that, for pretty much every birthday she’s ever had, gifted Kuroko a book of some sort, they’re a family of intellectuals but I’d like to think her mother is more of a prim and proper sort that’s a doctor or lawyer or something while her father is a writer and more laid back. Both of them are happy she has friends in the council, though she’s never really had trouble making friends. Part of that is that her parents probably stressed good communication and taught her well on that front. They’re the kind of family that doesn’t do a lot of big showy things like take vacations to Disney world or something, but they still go and do fun things together all the time like going to museums or the movies, though her father gets shushed constantly at the movies for making little commentaries on the plot and writing of it the entire time, Kuroko and her mom both act embarrassed and apologetic about him but neither of them actually mind it at all. Kuroko’s parents are definitely those ones that are still super lovey dovey and always have been and embarrass her frequently because of that. You know that Drake and Josh scene where Drake walks in on his parents being all lovey dovey like ‘Now its MY turn to kiss you’ and he just goes ‘now it ‘s MY turn to throw up’ it’s just that, she loves them and doesn’t actually mind but GOD they’re embarrassing sometimes.
Akane
Akane’s parents are the most friendly and excitable people you’ll ever meet, they’re the kind of people that bake tons of cookies and gives the extra to their neighbors and shovel their neighbor’s driveways when it snows. Her father is a fantastic cook and her mother gives the best hugs and are also very lovey dovey but in a softer ‘still madly in love’ sorta vibe, kind of like Mirabel’s parents in Encanto. They both support their daughter and are basically her own personal cheerleaders and Akane never hesitates to come to them when something is bugging her or she screws up, instead of thinking ‘Oh god my parents are gonna kill me’ when something goes wrong, her response is instead ‘I need to call my parents’ because she trusts them and they trust her. The two spoil her but not rotten and absolutely adore their daughter and aren’t afraid to yell that fact to the world and Akane honestly doesn’t even mind, where Kuroko is embarrassed about her parents being a bit much at times, Akane just smiles fondly and shakes her head with a laugh. Everyone is always a little confused as to why Akane is the way she is and then they meet her parents and it just immediately clicks.
Anywho yeah, those are my headcanons for their home lives, this was really fun to write up, made me think about things I haven’t before!

So obviously the entire Feanorian Host as a whole is a bit intense about the cause, but I feel like there’s different levels of devotion between their individual followers.
So my question to you is, from least to most intense, which Feanorions followers are the most cult-like and why?
the cultishness absolutely varies by region! i'm being a little facetious when i call them an out-and-out cult, but fëanorian minion culture certainly has... tendencies. the isolationism, the way loyalty to the group supersedes absolutely everything, what they do to those who 'betray the cause,' not to mention how absolutely psyched they get at the opportunity to do murder. still, the precise way that manifests, as well as how intense they are about, does change a lot depending on where you are in east beleriand. surprisingly it doesn't track that much with how tolerant of outsiders each subdivision is, which is most evidenced by:
the gap: maglor and his cronies are easily the most xenophobic part of the host, which is both a cause and a consequence of them having probably the least regular contact with non-fëanorians out of all the armies of east beleriand. paradoxically, this gives them very little incentive to go full cultist; much of the deliberately off-putting stuff the rest of the host does is partially to distinguish them from the outgroup, which isn't something you need to do when everyone you deal with is either part of the gang or an obvious enemy. they still do the elaborate facial deformations, they still have a bit of a Thing about fire, but the thing that's holding them together is much less utter devotion to the cause and much more the organic friendships and kinship bonds between riders
there's a few other reasons why the folk of the gap are relatively less culty. the gap is sparsely populated to begin with, and most of its population is at least semi-nomadic; it's a lot harder to cultivate that kind of obsession when everyone's off doing their own thing most of the time. while the gap doesn't have the highest headcount of mithrim sindar - as stated above, its population is tiny even by east beleriand's low standards - it has more mithrim sindar as a proportion of the population than anywhere else in east beleriand, and the culture of the gap has this big mithrim sindarin focus on community and clan to counteract the noldorin tendency to sacrifice everything for grand ideals. the general lack of new recruits from outside the host only serves to intensify all of this; the riders of the gap fight together because of the spiderweb of social and personal obligations that link them all together, not necessarily because of the cause (though that is still a factor, i want to be clear.) this fairly isolated society held together by individual and familial bonds stands in stark contrast to:
himlad: the thing about celegorm and curufin's people is that they're up against the fuzzy border between east and west beleriand, between maedhros' definitely-not-a-kingdom and the finarfinians' section of fingolfin's defensive line. as such, they're more or less constantly in contact with the outside world, coordinating troop movements, sharing information and resources, recruiting from the same sindarin populations. there's still a clear delineation between the fëanorians and the fingolfinians, partially because there's a lot of mountains between their major centres and partially because this lot actually do have an other to define themselves against and thus a reason to emphasise their own identity, but there's a lot of chatter and petty squabbling and philosophical discussion and a steady regular connection to the outside world counteracting the worst of the cultishness. unlike pretty much any other part of the host, the himlad minions never really lose the sense that they belong to a greater community of elves
which explains what they do in nargothrond. i don't believe that literally every single one of their followers abandoned celegorm and curufin, but i'd buy it was a lot of them, maybe even most of them. it helps that it's specifically the finarfinians their lords are betraying, the people they've - perhaps not fought side by side with, but who definitely always had their backs. even without that, though, the very existence of that relationship means they're used to working with people from outside the host, getting to know them, empathising with them, which is a pretty hefty counterbalance to the specific the-whole-world's-out-to-get-us undercurrent of internal propaganda. by no means was it an instant switch, or an easy one; after finrod got ousted there was a ton of interhost politicking and debate and the occasional brawl as everyone tried to figure out what to do. but the fact that the question was even open says a lot, i think. that probably wouldn't have been the case even in:
thargelion: caranthir’s domain is the most heavily populated part of east beleriand, and the settlement at lake helevorn is the closest thing it has to a city. a significant portion of that population aren’t fëanorians by even the loosest definition; they’re dwarven traders or miscellaneous humans or sindar far enough from the front line of the siege they can just keep on with their lives the way they always have. the fëanorians (and here, more than anywhere else, that’s a fuzzy category; this is the easiest part of the host to join, and the easiest to leave) are mixed in with all these groups, negotiating supplies, managing tribal levies, patrolling the roads, state stuff. out of all the subdivisions of the host, the thargelion minions are the hardest to distinguish from outsiders.
to keep their ingroup coherent, then, they actively mark themselves out. the minions in thargelion are probably the loudest about their collective identity and the cause and the joy of bathing in your enemies’ blood and all that. they have weird midnight rituals and purpose-built meeting halls and elaborate coded language, and while being overly tyrannical about it would be bad for business there’s definitely a sense that they form a tightly knit core which looks after its own above all else. that image is somewhat complicated by the aforementioned blurry edges of the thargelion host - is the sindarin bureaucrat who’s never touched a weapon in her life but plays a vital role in the military administration a fëanorian? is the noldorin freeholder who pays very little attention to the day-to-day minutia of the war but keeps his sword sharp for the hour it is needed? - but the alliance of old soldiers at its heart is a clear and palpable thing, especially when you can feel its eyes. when their hackles aren’t up the minions are perfectly happy to mingle socially with the other peoples of thargelion, though, which sets them apart from:
himring: on the frontlines of the siege of angband, with all the nightmares of the north pressing directly on their spirits, maedhros’ followers stoke the flames of their devotion high. the warriors of the cold fortress are less showy about their fervor than their counterparts in thargelion or even himlad, but the ardour underlying it is markedly more intense; they don’t have much in the way of over-the-top rituals, but they have vast amounts of ironclad unspoken rules they follow unwaveringly. they’re polite to outsiders, sometimes even welcoming, but you never forget that you are, in fact, an outsider, and that himring and its satellite forts form an internal world others can never quite see. even to other fëanorians, they come across as aloof
their fervour also tends to manifest as a deep personal loyalty that borders on reverence towards maedhros himself. all the brothers command respect, of course, they’re all magnetic personalities who draw people in and bind them together, but maedhros’ minions are on a whole other level. they mythologise him, tell stories of his deeds like he personally holds the line against morgoth, treasure the slightest contact with him, hold being called to his direct service as the highest honour of all. most of the new recruits to the himring host are brought in by the vast pull of maedhros’ reputation, from all across beleriand and even from the north. but no matter where they came from, they all understand that they will fight and live and die together beneath the banner of their lord. which is a bit weird, even by fëanorian standards, but they’re nowhere near as bad as:
ossiriand: amrod and amras’ henchelves are considered by the rest of the host to be notably psychotic, which is saying a lot. the minions of ossiriand are utterly terrifying, absolutely fanatical about the cause, the most bloodthirsty murder cult in east beleriand. you’d think the green-elves they share their territory with would act as a calming influence, but in practice the two groups mostly avoid each other, because the green-elves naturally prefer to stay away from these nutbags. you’d think being away from the front lines would lessen the need to solidify their identity through cult nonsense, but in practice it gives them the free time to go full gonzo. most of the horrible rumours you hear about the fëanorians in the rest of beleriand are either specific quirks of the ossiriand minions, or most egregrious in the ossiriand minions. they have an orc pit
or so they’d have you believe. the fëanorians in ossiriand effectively serve as the host’s intelligence division, scouts and spies and saboteurs. a lot of their work is clandestine by its very nature, and they tend to be pretty secretive about what they actually do. half the things you hear about them are probably disinformation, lies they’re deliberately spreading to make themselves sound scarier. hopefully, at least. as anyone who’s chatted with an ossiriand minion knows, they are both eagerly awaiting the fulfilment of the oath, and already preparing for what will come after
(this paradigm does break down after the siege is broken and the union of maedhros fails and the dregs of the armies of east beleriand wind up stuck in the same ever-shrinking territory. still, i think the origins of the survivors are... interesting. the people of the gap were almost completely wiped out in the bragollach, the people of himlad mostly jumped ship with celebrimbor, even the people of thargelion took heavy losses in the nirnaeth. but the people of himring stood firm around their lord, and the people of ossiriand were never really frontline fighters in the first place. minions from the more cultish parts of the host tend to survive longer, and in greater numbers. i feel this could have... consequences)
