#PWG ring chatter + commentary supercut (with color-coded subtitles!)
from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's BOWIE, 02/12/2016
[For the wrestlewatch crew of @coquinaclutch and @mobiblackout, the fellow mid-2010s PWG enthusiast @moxapologist, and funny haha dude @christiancagesupporter. This took me five hours because of a number of reasons. Even now it's still messy but I'm just glad it's DONE. Also there's nothing from the ZSJ/Trevor Lee and the Speedball/Evil Uno matches cause they weren't that funny, they were - especially the latter - really good.]
Going thru a few of devon's characters and guessing what they'd be getting up to on Halloween
#1 Adam
He's most likely taking you to some frat party, nothing too special, but he does dress up - well kinda. He puts a little fake blood around his mouth, says he's a vampire and calls it a day. Halloween is more about the parties than the spooks for him.
#2 Freddy Klein
Halloween is a business opportunity for him, knowing that parents are gonna be taking their kids trick or treating, he organises a few spooky games and refreshment to try and get their attention to the dealership. You help the kids play games like bobbing for apples, while Freddy tries to sell cars to their parents. Once the night is over, the two of you celebrate some successful sales wrapped up on the sofa with a couple of beers.
#3 Casper Galloway
Casper HATES Halloween, he's a big scaredy cat. Even the doorbell ringing from trick or treaters makes him jump out of his skin. He's still pretty freaked out from the whole zemon thing, so you go out of your way to distract him on Halloween. You order a pizza and snuggle up in bed to watch anything other than a horror film - he usually picks a rom com because let's face it, this man is a huuuuge softie.
#4 Mike (rip picture quality)
You and Mike go to great lengths to make Halloween fun for Angel. You carve pumpkins together, make her a little boo basket and take her trick or treating. You let her stay up an hour past her bed time on Halloween, so she can watch a spooky film for kids, like monster House. Once she's been put to bed, you and Mike split a bottle of wine while watching a classic horror film and fall asleep on the sofa together.
#5 Dean Taylor
According to Dean, Halloween is just an excuse to go out and raise hell without getting in trouble. He's been known to graffiti people's houses, set people's bins on fire and even mug drunk party goers. He's kinda an ass.
Where are you while all this is going on? You're at home none the wiser, waiting for him to get back so you can watch a movie together. You're under the impression that he's just out getting some snacks.. but now he's been gone an hour and you're pretty sure the store is closed by now.. oh, never mind, he just got back. He always seems to show up juuuust when you start to worry.
#Rodrick Heffley (yeah i made you wait until the very end, I know that's who you came here for)
He's throwing a rager, and you better believe he's gone all out with his costume. He's painted his face to look like a skeleton and ordered a cheap robe off amazon so he can go as the grim reaper. He usually gets pretty drunk at parties, but on Halloween, every time without a doubt, he gets absolutely wasted. It ends up being your job to carry him up to bed and try to wipe his face paint off him so he doesn't ruin his bedsheets. He ends up getting very clingy and insists that you stay and cuddle with him instead of going back to the party - which you have no problem with at all.
A/n happy Halloween everyone! Hope you enjoyed these hcs, and let me know if you think I should do more "How different characters would act in a scenario" type headcanons- because this was a lot of fun to write!
As always, replies and reblogs are greatly appreciated, they help me figure out what sort of stuff people wanna see more of :^)

The BBC and Netflix have announced casting for Lockerbie, the forthcoming factual drama made by World Productions.
The six-part series is based on the real events surrounding the 1988 Lockerbie bombing and the joint Scots-US investigation which sought to bring the perpetrators to justice. Lockerbie. The flight disaster of Pan Am Flight 103 was the deadliest terrorist attack in the history of the United Kingdom.
Pan Am Flight 103 was a flight of a passenger airliner operated by Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) that exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, on December 21, 1988, after a bomb was detonated. All 259 people on board were killed, and 11 individuals on the ground also died. All were killed, along with 11 residents of Lockerbie, Scotland 🏴
What seemed at first like a horrific accident was soon proven to be the result of a terrorist bomb planted in a radio cassette recorder inside a suitcase in the forward cargo hold.
Following a three-year joint investigation by Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), arrest warrants were issued for two Libyan nationals in November 1991. In 1999, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi handed over the two men for trial at Camp Zeist, the Netherlands, after protracted negotiations and UN sanctions.
In the year 2001, Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, a Libyan intelligence officer, was jailed for life after being found guilty of 270 counts of murder in direct connection with the bombing.
Megrahi was found guilty of playing a central role in the bombing
In August 2009, he was released by the Scottish government on compassionate grounds after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. He died in May 2012 as the only person to be convicted for the attack.
‘Lockerbie’: Lead Cast Of BBC & Netflix Series Patrick J. Adams, star of Suits — is returning to Netflix. The cast also includes Ozark alum Peter Mullan, Tony Curran (Mary & George), Downton Abbey‘s Phyllis Logan, Eddie Marsan (The Pact), Lauren Lyle (Vigil), Andrew Rothney (The Undeclared War), Parker Sawyers ( P-Valley), James Harkness (The Sixth Commandment), Khalid Laith (Vigil), and Amanda Drew (Wolf).
Congratulations to Tony Curran and Lauren Lyle for Lockerbie a new drama series alongside the Oscar winner best actor Colin Firth’s competition.😊 Both of you are in good company.
@castlemaine123 Wait until you see “Lockerbie” with Colin Firth which began filming last February in Scotland 🏴
@castlemaine123 Yep! ! The actors are in interesting projects. The wait for Outlander 7.2 and season 8 is losing interest. BOMB's new actors will surprise, showing that SH is not the only Scottish actor in Scotland as his fans think. He may continue to make profits in his new career as a door-to-door alcohol salesman and posing as a barman.
Niyə xoşbəxt deyilsən? Səni necə xoşbəxt edə bilərik? Səni kədərləndirən nədir? Bəlkə də cənnət budur. Mükəmməl bir heçlik.

the palace of illusions by chitra banerjee divakaruni - i read this at a point where i felt super disconnected from my family and my culture and it was just a beautiful way of connecting the two while also not making me feel... ashamed for such a disconnection

the great mistake by jonathan lee - maybe the theme here is that there is death.. but there are also character backstories! a really solemn-ish novel, but written in such a feathery way that made me so entranced
we were eight years in power by ta-nehisi coates - really succinctly described how and why the u.s. is how it is right now and a read i am always thinking about...
HONORABLE MENTION: hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy by douglas adams - im not copying i promise (prommy even)! this book was genuinely my whole personality for two years and then i couldn't find another sci-fi book that i liked like this one so i returned to murder (BOOKS) as one does... but such a fun writing style that is so absurd but works incredibly well <3

24th August 1198 saw the birth of King Alexander II in Haddington, East Lothian.
Alexander II made Scotland stronger than ever before. First he attended to parts of his country that were always causing trouble; in particular, he was determined to subdue the disturbances in the remote lands of Argyll. In 1221 he collected a strong army from Galloway and the Lothians and prepared a fleet to sail up the Clyde. Unfortunately, he had failed to take the stormy September weather and tides into account, and was forced to return to Glasgow. The following year he took his army across country to Argyll and re-established order, making sure the peace would last by transferring the titles of disloyal nobles' lands to more reliable subjects.
Later that same year, he faced a different kind of rebellion. Unwisely Bishop Adam of Caithness had been charging the people in his diocese double the sum that was normally due for the support of his church, in spite of their repeated complaints. In the end, 300 angry people stormed their way towards his palace, prompting his servants to run to the Earl of Caithness home nearby to ask for help. Possibly not realising the imminent danger, the Earl told the servants, 'If the bishop is afraid let him come to me at my castle', the people took their complaints to the Earl who legend has it, famously told them..." The devil take the bishop and his butter; you may roast him if you please!
So they took him at his word an angry crowd later seized the helpless bishop, stripped and beat him, and then carried him to his kitchen fire and roasted him alive!!!
Alexander was just setting out to attack England when the news reached him. He came at full speed to Caithness and exacted a terrible penalty, hanging the majority of the those responsible, while mutilating the remainder. Alexander's actions were applauded by Pope Honorius III, and a quarter of a century later, he was continuing to receive commendation, as in a bull of Celestine IV.– no one would ever think of roasting a bishop again. He also confiscated half the lands belonging to the Earl of Caithness in punishment for his lack of assistance for Bishop Adam.
Alexander, like David I, was keen to grant land for the construction of cathedrals and abbeys. In 1223 he awarded the Bishop of Moray the seat at the magnificent Elgin Cathedral, and, in 1230, gave permission for the building of three abbeys: Pluscarden Abbey, south-west of Elgin; Beauly Abbey in Ross-shire; and Ardchattan Abbey in Argyll. These communities were peopled by an order of Benedictine monks called the Valliscaulians who operated under a very strict code and initially had a very close relationship with France.
In 1249 Alexander made an attempt to regain the Western Isles from King Haakon IV of Norway. Unfortunately, before he could reach them, he fell ill and died on the island of Kerrera, off Oban, on 8 July that year.
in light of recent events... who are some of your favorite underused indigenous faces?
I think it'd be better to ask Indigenous creators some of their suggestions (if they're accepting asks!) but I will list people I know of with resources at the time of posting so the roleplay community knows who has them since the main directory is down. Prompt #26: Sometimes I get so tired I don't even know myself/Working to Exhaustion/You look awful
Pairing: Drew GallowayxCharlotte James (OC)
Mentions Of: Darby Allin, Christian, Edge
Verse: Main
The ability to be home at the same time while traveling with other companies was not one that Drew Galloway took lightly anymore. With his work with the WWE and his wife Charlotte's work with AEW often separating them for weeks at a time, it was a blessing for even a few days together before one or both of them were off again. It was why Drew was so excited to see his beloved as he heard the car pull into the driveway.
It was when he watched Adam Copeland pushing his wife's chair through the door that Drew's brow furrowed.
"Ya look awful," Drew found himself speaking before he could think.
"Wow, Drew, what a great thing to say to your wife," Adam rolled his eyes as he helped Charlie settle her chair in the living room. Though they shared a partner, the relationship between the two men was often tense. "Not a hello, not a love you. Just jumping in the deep end there."
"Lighten up, sugah," Charlie tried to soothe, her accent thicker in her current state. She pressed a kiss to the older man's cheek, "can you go make me a cup of tea, Adam? I promise you, it'll be the last thing I ask for t'day."
Adam gave a swift nod, almost shouldering Drew as he turned to head into the kitchen. The Scottsman knelt in front of his wife's chair, taking one of her small hands in one of his much larger ones. He pressed a kiss to her palm, "Ya know I dinnae mean tae be cruel. Tha' company overworks ye is all."
"Drew, ya and I have been together for, what, nine years?" Charlie questioned as she cupped his cheek, scratching at the skin beneath his thick beard, "Even when we met I was pushin' myself t' hard. In fact, I was pushin' myself t' hard when we met."
Drew let out a chuckle as he let his cheek relax against her hand. It was true. When the two had first met, Drew had been a victim of Impact's Beat Down Club. Charlie had been working too hard because of them, just like the situation with Darby Allin and Christian had her working too hard now. "Yer right, yer right," Drew admitted with a nod of his head, "I cannae judge ya fer doin' this when I know how I ge' in the gym, either. Sometimes I ge' so tired I don't even know myself."
"Oh, sugah, that is a mood," Charlie gave a playful laugh. She leaned forward to press a kiss to Drew's lips, "'Sides, I got you and Adam t' take care of me."
