notes this lowkey short but this has been on my mind for so long

you were assigned a group project by your teacher on the cultures of various nations. it was just a matter of going to see them since there were 3 people in each group and you were placed with the other two who shared a dormitory. 

you walked over to alhaitham and kaveh's shared dorm after getting dressed comfortably for your project. as soon as you open the door, you’re welcomed with an apartment that combines two distinct styles and aesthetics.  it was a perfect representation of alhaitham and kaveh, they both stood out but clashed with one another.

“oh, you’re here.” al haitham walks into the living room wearing his pajamas. his gray hair is messy and his shirt is unaligned. “i told you they’d get here early!” kaveh shouts from their kitchen, “y/n, do you want some coffee? and i’d like to apologize on my roommate’s behalf.” he scoffs and rolls his eyes at al haitham. “sure, thank you, kaveh!” you take the cup of coffee from his hand at sit at the table.

“look at him, cutting our time shorter!” kaveh huffs, “what do you mean? i’m right here aren’t i?” his roommate speaks from behind. “can we just get done with this already?” al haitham takes the seat next to you. you begin to discuss the project with the two of them. you talk about how you can format the project and what else you should add, and speaking of cultures, you bring up an important factor in culture.

“i don’t speak that many languages,” you say, “but you speak lots of different languages, right?” you turn to al haitham, and in response he nods. you ask, "can you say something in one of the languages you know?” 

“alright”, he accepts your request. “mahal kita, y/n. gustong-gusto kita, kaya ako nalang yung dapat piliin mo.” (i love you, y/n. i really really like you, that’s why i’m the one you should choose.)

kaveh spits out the coffee he’s been drinking and looks at al haitham like he’s gone mad. what did you just say? he speaks with his eyes and his shocked look. “why? what’d he say?” you turn to kaveh, the two of them weren’t even hiding how they were practically having a conversation about what he said in front of your face. “he said that—” kaveh stops once he locks eyes with his roommate. those eyes looked like they were hungry for blood! at least, that’s how kaveh interprets it.

“nevermind– he just swore at me in tagalog..” kaveh sulks and looks away, wiping the coffee from the corners of his lips. “yeah, you’re an ass sometimes.” al haitham crosses his arms. oh, this bitch is really going to insult me? two people can play that game. he leans in and whispers in your ear, “he said that he really likes you.” and leans back to take a look at your expression. you argue, “that’s not true. he would never—”

“it’s true.” al haitham cuts you off. “i do like you. kahit di mo ko mahal, mamahalin pa rin kita hanggang kailanman." ( even if you don't love me, i'll still love you forever.)

truth be told, the only reason why al haitham looked like he hadn’t gotten any sleep was because he didn’t. he couldn’t go to sleep as his mind filled him with a mix of emotions hitting him everywhere all at once. worry, anxiety, anticipation, happiness, you name it. he hoped that kaveh would be able to lighten the mood and make him less awkward around you than he already is. he barely got any sleep because he couldn’t stop thinking about you. 

when he saw you just standing there in his home, he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. he refocuses his gaze on you, and fuck, you’re not his imagination. lucky enough his roommate helped him escape unknowingly. but then again, brought him to confess his feelings to you.

“....mahal din kita?” (i love you too) your entire face heats up, you look at kaveh. “did i say it right?” he’s just staring at the two of you with his mouth agape, “will he be okay?” you ask al haitham. “just give him a few seconds.”

he slams his hands on the table, “what the fuck just happened. i’ve been sitting here the entire time?!”

so so so so many blessings and i am just so thankful

still sick though pero im pushing through; i have this nasal spray that helps me A LOT pero paubos na siya and i have no idea kung saan siya na bili ng dad ko so i guess i just have to stick it out and not depend on the spray masyado din

i decided to buy the bag guys - the things kasi, ive been thinking of this bag for months not even though tintawanan ko nalang siya whenever i remember it but yun nga deep down i really want it kasi plus instead of buying a bag off of tiktok with a similar design, eh di might as well buy the one i actually want with way better quality for sure

so yun yung plans ko for after work tomorrow! plus i might go aand look at new earrings too kasi ive been meaning to buy new earrings naman na talaga kasi i want something thinner and smaller since i feel like my ears are already big and having chunky jewelry just accentuates them

im so inlove with my custom charm necklace, i might end up collecting charms here and there just to add them to my necklace

i ended up buying 1 box of the sonny angel winter wonderland series kasi nung sumilip ako sa fully booked kanina nagulat ako may stock so i took the chance and i ended up getting the one i want and im so so so so happy; my luck these days is just amazing

and lastly, we’re having starbucks for dinner tonight

i hope we all have a great and productive and overall lovely day tomorrow!

dito nalang ako magrereply dun sa comment mo sa isang ask ko kasi mahaba AHAHAHAHA pero yes omg meron parin creative writing sa curriculum i had it 1st sem ng g12, pero 20th century lit??? THAT SCOPE SOUNDS SO INTERESTING TO STUDY HELLO HUHUHU meron kami niyan na sub pero its 21st cen :'))) so modern ang scope (had it for 1st sem g11). ofc naman i still found the works interesting pero hhhhh sana nag cover din kami 20th hays

meron din kami two other writing subjects: creative nonfiction (2nd sem g12) and contemporary philippine arts from the regions (2nd sem g11, pero more performance based like scriptwriting and drama performance), so i wanna ask if meron din ba to before or baka na add siya recently?

i personally did good on all of them !! well maybe not so good on cw and cnf kasi flat 90 lang nakuha ko and sa awa lang ng diyos nakapasa aking exam scores huhu but if its any consolation, our teacher is just really strict (yes we have her for both the subjects) and halos lahat nasa 80s ang grade. i'll treasure all the times she gave me praises on my works even tho there were really times grabe uminit ulo ko sa kanya HAHAHAHAHA maybe love-hate relationship, but atleast i got her to read my fav korean webnovel and she loved it too !!

another fun fact: i only got a perfect score on a work i submitted to her ONE time and it was the creative personal essay i made about how han jisung helped me find meaning in my life 😭 so u can imagine how much it meant to me lol

and that's really great to hear from you! choosing han to be an inspiration in your writing is *chef's kiss* it's really good to have that kind of teacher too! mine was open minded but i never received anything in return aside from 90+ grades HAHAHA that was it. shs made me write thoroughly and much more in college since i took a course that writes TONS of essays and other writings nakakaloka. so in shs it will determine how much and kung pano ka kadasa magsulat meheheh. but yes, i'm happy that you're putting kpop into writing for academic purposes, i also remembered mine when i wrote something about kang daniel from wanna one for an output on CW di ko na maalala ano sinulat ko don HAHAHA i guess it was his biography or smth. but anyway, we always find ways to put or faves into writing for school and that's effective!

HI COLLEGE STUDENT DIN HERE, specifically studying to be a TLE teacher (course name is VERY long kaya di nalang ako magtalk AHAHAHAH BUT) regarding the food question:

Make sure na you're hitting your four basic food groups, aka carbs, fat, protien and fruit/veg. Easiest and medyo mura na protien sources would be eggs, if kaya ng budget, chicken (breast is malaman).

Tip that I learned from Jo Sebastian (a Filipina dietician on Insta) is to allow yourself to add stuff - i.e. If may sardinas ka which already has fat and protien, you can add in veg like pechay. Or if may instant noodles ka - carbs - add in protien like egg, then veg like kangkong, or even just a fruit in season.

Super pinag-papawisan ka na kaya nag-paalam ka sa prof mo na mag-babanyo ka. At chinat mo friends mo, kaso mukhang bc pa makinig sa klase. You went to the clinic kaso wala yung nurse! Your day is getting worser and worser and naiiyak ka na talaga.

Tinawagan mo ang kuya mo, ngunit ang boses ni Jaemin ang iyong narinig. Si Jaemin pala natawagan mo. "Hi Jaemin dapat si kuya talaga tatawagan ko pero since ikaw na kausap ko, don't you mind fetching me here?" Iyak mo, oo naiyak ka na talaga sa sakit. "Okay, sige around 10 mins? Kaya mo ba mag wait? Malayo-layo kasi ako pero I'll try my best to go as fast as I can." Sabi ni Jaemin. Rinig mong sinara na niya ang pinto ng sasakyan niya, at pinaandar ito. "Thank you and sorry Jaemin sa abala." You said worried.

"No, okay lang. Hindi naman abala and plus by hearing you naiyak, I can't be not worried. Sige na end ko muna to, and tawagan kita pag andiyan nako."

After 10 mins, as he promised tinawagan ka niya. Lalabas ka na sana kaso di ka pinapayagan dahil class hours pa. So Jaemin went for you and kitang kita nanghihina ka.

Napalabas na din ikaw after and hirap ka maglakad, dahil sa sobrang sakit nanghihina ka talaga.

Asa loob na kayo ng sasakyan at kinausap ka ni Jaemin. "What happened? Are you on your month?" How did Jaemin know? Of course nag-aaral to ng doctor at kita naman nito nakahawak sa tiyan so that's what he thoughts.

Tumango ka at patuloy na naiyak at naungol sa sakit. "Jaemin.. bring me to my dorm, may pills ako pam patangal cramps.." Your weak voice said. Nag-okay si Jaemin at pumunta na kayo sa dorm mo

After a lot of pain nakatulog ka na din. Jaemin is right beside you watching you. Napagod din ito dahil hirap siyang patulugin ka. Wala kasi epekto yung pills na iyong ininom kaya kumuha ng hot compress at hirap ka parin makatulog. Tho for Jaemin kahit napagod siya, he was happy for you dahil kahit hindi niya alam ang sakit na iyong naramdaman, he knows it's very painful.

So he carresed your hand while looking at you. Hawak niya kasi kamay mo habang pinapatulog ka para makatulong sa pagpapakalma. Kaya nakatulog ka hawak-hawak ang kamay nito.

Jaemin needed to leave. May aasikasuhin pa ito, kaya nagleave ito ng note and chocolates. Meron talaga siya kaso noong inask niya if you want chocolate to help you with your cramps, umayaw ka dahil wala kang appetite kumain ng kahit ano. So nilagay niya ito sa bedside table mo.

"Kuya Jaemin? What happened to her?"

at naabutan na pala siya ng mga kaibigan nito. Inexplain niya kung ano nangyari at may binilin sakanila. "So yun. Btw, pagkagising niya pakainin niyo siya dahil wala siyang kain ng hapunan. Mauuna na ako, take care sainyo." Jaemin said at umalis na ito.

"Pogi pala nun in person my gash, mag jowa na ata talaga sila eh" panghusga ni Jewel. "Bagay sila!! Like ang gentleman din pala nun? Very Green flag!" Sabi ni Mischa.

You already woke up and ate your food. You were glad wala na yung sakit and hindi ka na mahihirapan. You also ate some chocolates after, and habang nagphophone ka chinat ka ni Jaemin.

Eto yung tinatry ko ibook na flight kanina. Na naubos agad HAHAHA Piso sale means PISO BASE FARE. So example nag announce si Ceb Pac na may piso sale, i advice na mas okay mag check sa web kasi makikita mo yung base fares sa dates.

Image 1: Yan yung view sa web app para makita mo kung anong dates yung may flights available for Piso Fare. ☺️ So definitely yun yung may mga nakasulat na “1”. Yung ibang amounts, yun yung amount ng base fare ng flights for that day. ☺️

Image 2: So if nag select ka ng date na may “1”, di meaning non na lahat ng flights ay entitled for piso base fare, hahanapin mo dapat yung pinaka mababa yung amount.

i saw a post na shinare sa fb ni @/kaelbondoc about sa student who committed suicide dahil di siya makaka graduate on time and nag flashback sakin yung time ko last march 2017.

naalala ko yung time na sinukuan ko na yung ojt and thesis 2 ko kasi i know for a fact na it's no longer worth it. no longer worth to continue kasi sobrang daming di okay sa school, sa akin and sa company na pinag ojt-han ko. remember those nights na di pa alam nila mommy na di ako gagraduate umiinom ako like every single day para lang makalimutan yon as in lasing kung lasing tapos uuwi ako ng madaling araw to make sure na tulog na si rich and mommy para di na sila magtanong. those nights na magisa lang ako sa room, thinking na i-end na din life ko kasi sobrang dami kong failures grade six palang and i don't want to add another one sa mommy and kapatid ko. good thing na andyan yung mga tumblr barkada ko who na nag sumusuporta pa din sakin despite sa nangyari.

well, since last year inaatake pa din ako ng suicidal buti nalang kahit pano di na ko nagrerelapse kasi super hirap niya as in. anw, ayun lang. nakakaawa din yung bata, may he rest in peace.

diba kahapon nga nag aayos ako ng blog, inayos ko ulit yung mga tags, may page kasi 'to para sa mga navigation ng tags kapag naka desktop ka. tapos nakita ko dun may navigation para sa 2nd blog ko yung ginawa ko ngang reblog account ko nung na-lock ako sa blog na 'to, tas yung ginawa kong account pansamantala nun yung ciaokim. nilagyan ko lang ng deactivated+date yun para bumalik ako dito. so ayun, i decided na yung 2nd account ko na narecover ko lang din yung dineactivate ko.

wait ang gulo ko mag kwento, basta yun, so i have total of 3 blogs sana. pero dineactivate ko yung narecover kong second account, then yung temporary blog na ginawa ko nung na lock 'tong account na 'to, yun naman yung gagawin kong second account for reblogs ulit. hahaha. wala lang ang cute niyo, naka follow parin kayo dun kahit di active haha.

lagi akong may secondary account sa lahat ng socmed ko ever since, minsan pa nga tatlo. sa Facebook, nakabukod noon yung pang family at work ko sa mga personal account ko. sa Twitter din, actually i have 16 accounts dun haha, 15/16 ata pang fangirling haha. pero dalawa nalang binubuksan ko dun, yung isa main, yung isa parang alter pang noon ng porn charet. tas yung iba pinapamigay ko nalang sa mga nangangailangan haha. nagkaron si J ng Twitter because of me, binigyan ko rin siya. sa IG naman may pang main din, merong pang follow ng mga shop at artists haha. oc yern?

pero ngayon, parang hirap na hirap na akong i-manage sila kaya madalas mga main accounts ko nalang yung active. yung Facebook ko isa nalang kasi dinelete ko yung pang work ko non. mas okay nalang din siguro na wag mag add ng mga work connections lalo pag hindi mo close. haha.

ilan na rin sa mga kawork ko non sa previous company ko ang in-unfriend ko at in-unfriend ako. keber. para mabawasan din pag paparinig ko sa mga katoxican nila, minsan kasi ako na yung nagiging toxic hahahaha. sayang gusto ko pa naman yung inggit na inggit sila sa mga stories ko hahaha. ang toxic eno. wala lang minsan kasi parang ang sarap mag panggap kasi paniwalang paniwala silang mga marites sila. haha people pleaser yan?

parang di ko narin talaga kaya mag keep up ng maraming account, kasi minsan di ko narin maalala mga password, buti nalang may save password sa iphone, keychain ba yon? (i know meron di sa android) haha basta yun. dun nalang kasi ako naka asa. pati sa mga email ko, di ko kabisado. nakabukod din kasi yung mga email ko.

anyway, ayusin ko lang ulit 'tong blog ko. tanggalin ko nalang ulit yung ibang reblog, nakaka oc kasi pag naka desktop ako, di sakto sa frame yung gifs or ibang images.

For those incoming senior high school student who is not yet sure about the strand that they'll be taking, this is my advice for you: You should decide and think wisely. Take the strand that you really like and love, not because, "Dito nalang ako kasi andito yung kaibigan ko" or "Ito nalang kukunin ko dahil ito ang gusto ng parents ko." It's critical to pick the appropriate path for you, so think a hundred or thousands of times before taking a big step and choosing your strand. To my fellow aspiring entrepreneurs: Choose ABM as a strand. According to the consensus, you need to be an effective entrepreneur with strategies, perseverance, and smart thinking if you want to be prosperous in life. And once you have the ABM thread, you'll undoubtedly learn about it. The most crucial lesson you will learn while completing this strand (ABM) is how to manage and handle your money. ABM is not an easy path. You may not know what tomorrow might bring but you know on yourselves that you are not done yet but still, you’re determined to strive hard and meet all the struggles and difficulties for the betterment of your future. "You should not give up because you are more fortunate to survive through the challenges you had than those who didn’t even try because you believe that you can do it and your FUTURE MATTERS." -famous author. It doesn't inevitably matter whether you're an achiever or not when you're an ABM student because it's hard to deny how challenging our primary themes are. Of course, you should still possess a passionate heart. If you want to enter into ABM or any other strand, this is the most crucial factor to take into account. You need to reflect. Is this really what I want? Is this possible? Is this the kind of future I want? Do I have the courage? Because if you don't, ABM is not something you can possibly survive. So, gather your calculators, columnar worksheets, and ledgers, and then be brave, strong, and passionate. Future CPA, Entrepreneurs or CEO"s, you have it in you. You can succeed, aspiring entrepreneur. You can reach your goals. You can. Just keep dreaming, have perseverance, work hard, and most especially have faith, and God will do the rest. Material Girl 🧿

Wala lang, haha, this post might make me look like I am a material girl but some things really just make you happy, you know.

At work, there's this cabinet called "Tech Cabinet". Andon lahat ng peripherals and other tech items, so from magic keyboard, magic mouse, extension, converter, etc. You just need to grab what you need, walang lista lista. Tagal ko pinag-isipan if I'll get the magic keyboard kasi sanay talaga ako sa light touch keyboards. But, when I was asked what laptop I wanted (Windows vs Mac), I initially chose the latter tapos nagpalit ako to Windows kasi akala ko Outlook ang gamit. Later on I found out na Gsuite pala so Mac would have all the features, unlike sa Outlook na walang vote buttons, folder grouping kapag Mac.

Anways, na-realize ko na okay din naman na Windows ang gamit ko kasi para ma-compartmentalize pa din sa utak ko na kapag Windows OS, work yun. Kapag Mac OS, personal. Important siya lately lalo at ilang beses na din akong kinukuha ng UP sa engagements as preceptor or resource speaker.

So, ayun na nga. Kinuha ko yun Magic Keyboard ang saya. Tapos anak ng tokwa, mga 1-2 hours akong nastress kasi walang Ctrl + Alt + Del function na naganaaaaaa! Even N-Tech wasn't able to help me, umabot na sa try ko daw set up yun on-screen keyboard. Luckily, I found through some Apple forums na Cmd + L daw. Tangina, ang saya ko after! Hahahaha! With that, I can type with the sleek and light touch, and still maximize the Windows view I am familiar with naman.

Lesson of the story: You can lock your Windows laptop using a magic keyboard using the Cmd + L keys. LOL.

Nakakatuwa din kasi I was supposed to save up to buy Logitech MX pero, since may magic keyboard na, oks na oks na ako. May Logi M65 mouse din na binigay sa work na fit na fit for small hands like mine.

Dumating na din kahapon yun treadmill ko. It's under 10K so I don't expect it to be as heavy duty as the ones at the gym but it'll help me (1) do quick 1-3K runs and (2) complete 8K-10K steps even when it's raining outside.

So far, my current set-up works. I do hope to get some weights pa din, pero di talaga ubra yun cake. Maybe a rack? But, nakita ko kasi yun sa Wundergym na colorful plates and DBs and KBs, kaso max of 25.5KG lang sya... saka 30K sya haha! So, I'll just work with what I have. Ayoko na din i-pressure sarili ko lalo I now have 1hour maximum nalang talaga to work out in the morning. So, most of the time, 1min nalang talaga rest periods or I incorporate yoga or videos from Johana Soh. Yun program ni Faye, madalas nagagawa ko nalang once or twice a week.

Ang big purchases ko nalang na kailangan pagtrabahuhan (often sa side raket ko kinukuha) ay:

2 yoga mats (kasi slippery na and 3+ years na itong current lol)

Standing desk (pero naghahanap ako na under 15K lang sana)

Split type aircon (para di na kami pawis pawis sa master bedroom)

Automatic feeder and litter for the furkids (para din kahit umalis kami, wala na akong aalalahanin)

Minsan, naiisip ko bumili ng bagong Apple Watch (2 years old na itong sakin) or iPhone (1+ year old iPhone 11 itong sakin na from previous work pa)... but naisip ko, what I have still works. May added experience siguro yun new cameras and features, but I don't think it would significantly improve my life. LOL.

Madalas ganon na naiisip ko eh, lalo pag big purchases. Things make me happy, I accepted that at hindi na ako magpapaka-ipokrita about it. But, I want to start being mindful again of things I add into my life. It should enrich me, not take time away from me.

Ayun lang, happy Friday! 🧿

Instructions

Heat a wok or cooking pot them pour-in soy sauce, vinegar, and water then bring to a boil.

Add the squid and wait for the liquid to re-boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Turn off the heat then separate the squid from the liquid. Set aside.

Pour-in cooking oil on a separate wok of cooking pot then apply heat.

When the oil is hot enough, sauté the garlic, onions, and tomatoes.

Put-in the squid then cook for a few seconds.

Pour-in the soy sauce-vinegar-water mixture that was used to cook the squid a while back. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes.

Add the ink, salt, ground black pepper, and sugar then stir. Simmer for 3 minutes.

Transfer to a serving bowl then serve.

Share and enjoy!

Note: If you want a thicker sauce, remove the squid from the wok or cooking pot and let the sauce boil until enough liquid evaporates. Once done, you may top the squid with the sauce.
