I recently did some illustrations for a charming new book by Sally J Pla, Ada and Zaz, that's coming out in September :)
It's about an autistic kid and a kid with ADHD becoming friends, even though they're very different~ Here's some of my fave illustrations from the book!

I have recently been trying out embroidery.... I've always had a blindspot when it comes to textile crafts.
Also I've had this weird internalised sexism thing going on where I saw them as 'dowdy' or 'not real art' because they typically women's hobbies.
ALSO I am chaotic and messy by nature so assumed exact stitches were not for me. But embroidery is like painting with thread!
It's important to feel safe to be a beginner artist and make mistakes. I always want to be amazing at everything the first time I try it, which puts me off trying, which means I end up sat in my bedroom feeling sad I am not making art.
So yes enjoy my wobbly snail, I will be adding more vines and some leaves and who knows what else 🐌🍁

I am so jealous of artists with a consistent style what do you mean you’ve developed it over years of consistent practice my ADHD makes me try a style once then forget how I did and do another

This piece encapsulates the combination of realism and abstraction that emerges in my work. This contrast, to me, represents the chaos and contrast that I experience daily - I have a fairly calm exterior self.
Through expressive brushwork and pallet knife strokes, I portray my inner world where autism, ADHD, and BPD find visual expression.
Mixed media is so fun for me. This painting was created with acrylic paint, oil paint, various acrylic texture and effects mediums, oil pastel, watercolour, POSCA pens, and dried flowers/leaves.
I'm honestly really proud of and attached to this painting. I was in many different states of mind throughout its creation which I feel really shows in the finished painting (unfortunately my camera doesn't pick up all of the details due to how busy this painting is), however I am open to selling this piece.

Trying this again since it didn't work last post. Here's the bumper for the new channel I've made. It's very short so please tell me what you think, and reblog and share!
The Froot Bunch is a Youtube/Streaming Channel focused on gaming and pop culture with a queer/neurodivergent lens.
Content for the channel and stream are still in development but the intention is to have a variety of different artists and styles featured under the queer-neurodivergent-weird umbrella.

This week I wanna share my favourite double page spreads from Ada and Zaz, a kids book I recently worked on about an autistic kid and a kid with adhd becoming friends~ The story gets a little chaotic which was fun to read and equally fun to draw!

This look was inspired by how I experience Inattentive ADHD, to me it feels like a fog clouding my brain. I chose to use dots instead of lines because I wanted to convey the heaviness I feel in my mind and convey how easily scatterable everything is like fog. When I experience inattentiveness it's incredibly hard to stay on track of a task, every thought feels like it's made of air and trying to focus on anything feels like trying to catch fog in my hands, it just slips through my fingers and drifts away from me. It's frustrating, it makes even the most simple of tasks feel difficult, it makes you feel like your stupid.
