Convo with my mutuals from the other day led me to making a list of Twisted Wonderland characters who possibly have ADHD/are ADHD-coded and what their symptoms and traits are (featuring art from me cause i just pulled this from my instagram story lmao)🔥

⚠️ Obligatory disclaimer tho so that the 'you make everything ""normal"" about adhd these days to feel special' and anti self-dx people don't come after me😭

Do not used this list to diagnose yourself, do extensive research before going to a professional to get officially diagnosed. I have ADHD and this list is from my own experiences + what I've researched about it, but it won't be perfect nor apply to everyone as every person is different. And as will be mentioned later on, there are many other neurological conditions, such as autism, bipolar, and even schizophrenia, that on the surface have many similar symptoms to adhd depsite having different causes. Getting diagnosed right is important to receive proper treatment and advice for coping, so people who get misdiagnosed usually end up in worse places than before because they receive the wrong meds of follow the wrong advice. Unfortunately, in women it is common to be misdiagnosed with other conditions before adhd, and also vice versa. You need a professional to get officially diagnosed, but there isn't enough research on many of these conditions, and many doctors are shockingly ableist and irresponsible and just conflate and interchange these conditions with each other😭

And for the flip side of people reading this, be considerate to self-diagnosers and ppl who just want to have fun with headcanons. As you can see, getting officially diagnosed is insanely difficult if you don't have the stereotypical presentation or you are a racial, sexual and of course economic minority. Minorities who come forth and try to get diagnosed are more likely to be dismissed or accused of just lying or being too paranoid. And your fave characters being headcanoned as not neurotypical isn't gonna hurt anybody😭 They can still be intelligent, scheming, charming and handsome even if they have adhd or whatever condition. Many of these HCs are because we lack explicitly confirmed, respectful or positive representation in media

Riddle Rosehearts

•needs rules and rigid structure, because without them he has no idea what choices to make and feels lost on what he should do

•hyperfocuses on work and duties usually related to these rules

•RSD, hates being criticized

•excessive talking and sometimes interrupts others, his impatience sometimes makes him not so understanding to the other party of the communication

•big dysregulated emotions, easily and extremely angered

•can be gullible and believe words literally like when he believed Trey's pastry recipe actually included oyster sauce (this isn't in the image but the way he implements rules can also be something that proves his black and white/literal thinking)

Azul Ashengrotto

•RSD, goes out of his way to take preventive measures against things he thinks will make people mock and criticize him again since the feeling of rejection hurts too much

•seems to also have had big emotions and cried a lot as a kid, probably just masking now to look strong

•hyperfocus during board games

•takes time and lots of planning to be able to bring himself to start/do tasks, rarely goes into things without a plan or two (this is why ADHDers procrastinate a lot)

•likes doing multiple things at once using his many octopus tentacles

•bit of a stretch, but it is possible that some of little Azul's "big appetite" was just adhd boredom. For ADHDers sometimes feelings of hunger and boredom are mixed up, and we eat not because we are starving but because eating is something you can direct ur focus and energy through, which makes not bored while doing it. This is why some adhders overeat and have higher vulnerability to substance abuse.

(No one asked but minus the overeating his presentation is very similar to my brother's😂)

Kalim al Asim

One of the characters people more commonly think of when someone brings up twst characters who possibly have adhd, because his and Deuce were probably written with the most purposeful intent to be based off that, and because they have the more 'stereotypical' presentation people default to thinking of

•very scattered with his thoughts, clumsy

•struggles to pay attention and concentrate

•hyperactive

•impulsive, doesn't think things through too much before deciding to go and commit to a project just because it seemed fun or exciting (he gets dopamine from the hype and fun basically). Despite it starting out like that he is genuinely passionate about the things he does

•emotional, easily excited or brought to tears

•gullible

•high empathy, strong sense of justice and always tries to help others

•if you look at this through the perspective of him having RSD, he also goes out of his way to take preventive measures from people getting mad or upset at him (form of rejection), by overcompensating with hospitality and gift-giving and other stuff

•didn't put this in the image but like Deuce he may also have issues with processing information

Deuce Spade

•deuce tries his best to mask for his mom and be an organized model student, but is also clumsy and scatterbrained

•gullible, literal thinker

•impulsive, this is likely what got him into so many fights as a delinquent

•might also have emotional dysregulation, easily going into intense rages during delinquent days and sometimes even now when he forgets to mask it

•struggles with tasks that require too long and too much of thought, he says himself in Chapter 5 his strength is in resilience and stubbornness instead of thinking things through

•in this monologue he also mentions how 'even if he tries to think and read over and over again, it's still no use', meaning he probably has issues in processing information.

He can't absorb the information presented to him even if he tries to take it in over and over again, because the problem is not that he didnt listen its the typical presentation of information is inaccessible to ADHD and other ND brains. In chapter 5 Deuce accepts this about himself as not inherently a weakness but just something that is unique for him

•struggles to pay attention and concentrate too

•like many ADHDers Deuce probably has co-morbid dyscalculia

Malleus Draconia

This one is admittedly more of a reach and self indulgent, because he's my favorite character, I have many similar struggles with him and I really like the AuDHD/ADHDtism headcanon of him. He is canonically more autistic coded.

> this is less of just adhd and more him being autistic with adhd

> I read that it is a common experience for autistic ppl with adhd to sometimes feel like they're contradicting their own wants, needs etc and not knowing why before finding out they also have adhd. Such as contradictions in wanting to stick to what is familiar to feel safe and regulated but also wanting to experience new things for the rush

> So kinda like Malleus being used to his usual routine and supposedly being somewhat fine with it staying that way for who knows how much longer, admitting in Glorious Masquerade he struggled to muster up the courage to change from it after so long and leave the Valley, but he still yearns for many new experiences and fun regardless so he's glad he chose to do it. Much like many AuDHDers solution of making small changes in routine from time to time to keep both conditions satisfied. Woah‼️‼️💯

Other than this Malleus also has:

•poor time management in planning how much time he wanders around and how much to prepare to go to meetings (he ends up missing most meetings)

•time blindness, which contributes to this

•easily spacing and zoning out

•instances of inattentiveness and distractability

•complains about being bored instantly in several voicelines if I remember correctly

•emotional dysregulation resulting in violent and intense anger affecting even the weather

•Impulsivity, not thinking through before he acts on things (Halloween 2☠️ there are several other instances of this but usually a character explains to him why it isn't a good idea and he should stop before he completes doing it)

Most of these are also presentations in autism so both can happen in a person and seem same from the outside, the difference in which presentation is which depending on the motivation/cause of it

TLDR🌟 Malleus usually needs his set routines and sameness for the calm and stability but also the thrills of new, fun and impulsive things from time to time for epic brain dopamine. He only learned and accepted that he also needs the second part later on cause he knew about his autism before his adhd👍

Lastly, Floyd.

I know lots of people including me also headcanoned Floyd as an ADHDer. Tho looking at it more, outside of the superficial and stereotypical symptoms of being quick to boredom and emotional dysregulation, he doesn't really seem to struggle with organizing and doing tasks compared to the others listed.

In canon, he is more intended to be coded with Borderline Personality Disorder, which also affects one ability to regulate their emotions. BPD can be a comorbidity to ADHD, so that and the overlapping symptoms are probably what make lots of people headcanon him as ADHD

Tho Floyd may not be comorbid and have just BPD, the act of starting and doing tasks itself is not what's hard for him, but rather the emotions that affect what he chooses to do stops him from doing things and prompts him to decide on doing other things. And in general he just ticks off more BPD boxes than adhd

Tho there is no harm in HCing him as adhd. I myself hc him as that cause it's fun😎 Just that it probably isn't as intentional or there as many ppl think

a very visual person

film making and ladybug are her special interests

she’s got some weird feelings about being akumatized. On one hand, that was very not okay and kind of traumatic, on the other hand… ladybug.

Karl didn't really pick up on your ADHD for a while there

He just thought you were really hyper

After a little bit of time it clicked

He always thinks it's funny when he walks into room that are halfway clean

Only to walk to the next and find it the same way

He'll follow the trail until he finds the room you somehow got roped into

After he finds you he does his best to help you clean and stay on track to finish the others too

He made you your own craft room for things you hyperfixate on and then leave for who knows how long

Every now and then when he notices you don't really have a project he'll bring up an old one in case it sparks your interest again

He loves seeing you work on things you love and when you put them away for who knows how long to start new things he still loves it

He thinks it's beyond cute when you zone out for a few minutes and just sit there

Although he knows it means your brains not working good so he always tries to find ways to help

And on days where your brain won't let you get things done you guys cuddle all day long

And when you have a dissociation day he always looks after you ten fold

He cares about you and when you have those days he feels so bad because he knows they suck

He isn't very educated on certain coping mechanisms so he does what he knows helps him

He holds you

He's never too sure what helps with certain things so he holds you to try and help

ADHD Headcanon!

Rapunzel! I recently just rewatched Rapunzel and i was like "This girl is so me." Please, she so obviously has ADHD. I love it

Hyperactivity. She is very hyperactive, i dont even have to explain u can just tell.

RSD (Rejection Sensitive dysphoria) She seems to handle rejection in a quite bad way. Especially from Mother Gothel.

Focus. She's very focused and observant (When she's ACTUALLY listening to someone)

Emotional sensitivity. When she was having mood swings after leaving her tower with Flynn. She was feeling it very deeply, she was crying, she was happy, she was pissed, and she was anxious, but on a bigger level. ADHDers tend to feel emotions stronger than people that dont have ADHD.

Speaking. Speaks like an absolute waterfall (me too dw) and people have trouble keeping up with her

Passion. ADHD is passion driven, people with ADHD are able to focus, on stuff that give them Dopamine. She likes painting and reading and she's good at it! She can focus on it because she likes it!! (which is good for her cuz i cant even read 3 pages LMAOO) but in 'when will my life begin' she starts to look bored when she's reading the second time, that is so me tho PLZ

Stimming. She stims by painting and by singing!

Fidgeting. I personally count this as fidgeting, but when she had her Frying Pan while she was looking at herself in her mirror she was spinning it around. (She accidentally hit here eye) I usually do the same with my frying pans too, my pencils or really anything i can spin around LOL.

Dopamine. She always wants to keep herself busy. Playing games with pascal, playing guitar, cleaning, painting, etc. In my personal opinion its cuz she wants dopamine and does wanna be bored

ADHD Kuwabara Headcanons

Kazuma was a socially awkward nerd in elementary school. He learned to fight because he wanted to be like the heroes from his favorite TV shows.

He performed well academically for the first few years of school, but started slipping when it actually required him to study. He would rather be watching tokusatsu or wrestling.

Actual studying is difficult for him because of his trouble focusing - unless he's had coffee or Coke. He still hates math though.

When he was younger he drew manga of himself as a superhero - "Excellent Hero Kazuman" - who fought monsters based on people and things that gave him a hard time.

He has trouble staying awake in class because a combination of nighttime overstimulation and spirit sense-induced nightmares keeps him awake at night.

eddie munson is in love.

she is entirely inexperienced in anything romantic or sexual; no first kiss, never even got close to it. extremely shy and anxious, has a seemingly innocent aura, is a bit out of sorts, ditzy, with a sort of luna lovegood vibe. doesn’t argue with people, always tears up if confronted about anything, doesn’t have beef with anyone and is a lot more rational than emotional even though she tears up so easily. also doesn’t hold grudges or care what people think of her…

the thing is, she has been introverted her whole life, a very anxious person, and so doesn’t understand that eddie munson likes her because she needs to be told how people feel about her very explicitly otherwise her mind will convince her they hate her. anxiety is like that. and she’s the kind of person that has a hard time realizing that people can perceive their existence and have feelings for them, no matter what type of feelings, so even though eddie is not at all shy about flirting with her and giving her all of the attention in the world in his over-the-top, overdramatic way, he also knows that if anything other than the friendship he’s thankfully managed to build with her is going to happen, romantic-wise, that she has to be the one to initiate it— but she’s oblivious!

on the other hand though, she doesn’t even bother hiding her infatuation with eddie — it’s a lot more than infatuation by now. she’s always looking at him with stars in her eyes and laughs at his jokes and smiles that big, square, goofy smile whenever they lock eyes and constantly praises him because he deserves to feel as special as he is, right? and she goes into detailed talks about lord of the rings with him, likes many of the same bands he does or simply lets him play his favorites for her, and she truly loves to watch hellfire play dungeons & dragons.

her eds even made her a special edition pink hellfire shirt. ‘cause he’s a simp.

one day, as she’s out with chrissy and heather outside a diner, talking and laughing and catching up, eddie is close by somewhere with friends. his van is parked nearby.

it starts getting chilly, and eddie’s girl starts shivering, so she quickly excused herself away from the girls, “gimme a second!” and reaches through the open window of eddie’s van, making a mental note to grill him about it later — “‘cause it isn’t safe, eds!” — to grab his leather jacket thinking of how he has told her over and over that she can borrow it, that “what’s mine is yours, sweets. i don’t mind sharing if it’s with you”, so she figures it’s okay, right? and goes back to the girls who are fucking smirking like they see something she doesn’t.

it’s about fifteen minutes later, and eddie is walking towards the trio, simply because he misses his girl and wants a hug, when he sees it.

she’s wearing his jacket. his jacket.

in typical eddie fashion, he makes a scene— gasping dramatically, he clutches his chest over his heart and falls to his knees, because fuck what anyone around thinks. his precious girl is wearing his fucking jacket! and she looks like a fucking angel.

“eds, what are you doin’?”

“do you know how heavenly you look in my jacket? i just had to get on my knees to worship you.”

the boy shuffles closer to his sweet girl on his knees still while he talks and she’s flustered, okay? she’s shy and her face is on fire and she’s covering her cheeks and giggling. and because it’s eddie, her eddie, she’s not running away to have a panic attack. ‘cause it’s eddie and he’s being sweet, so she can’t focus on anyone else long enough to feel crippling anxiety or embarrassment. doesn’t even care that chrissy is cooing and heather is smirking.

“that jacket is yours now, you own it. you pretty much own me by now.” eddie says, on his knees, in front of her

“it’s okay that i took it right?” she makes sure even after his display of joy, ‘cause anxiety isn’t rational “you said i—”

her eddie knows her, though. he stands up, gets real fucking close to her, so close they’re almost touching, with this look of absolute adoration and “i’d give ya everything i have if i could, pretty.”

fast forward a few days later. chrissy kept yapping on and on to the oblivious girl about how “in love” eddie is, but it’s as though her brain won’t let her even entertain the idea.

that’s until she’s having a semi-regular quote unquote friend-date with eddie, something they’ve done quite a few times before, and this time they go to the fair. they’re doing everything couples might do, eddie is very aware of this, and he’s over the moon to just be enjoying quality time with his pretty girl until she spots a photobooth, “oh, eds! we have to!” and eddie’s desperately counting coins to pay. the pictures go a little something like this:

after coming up blank with pose ideas, they just look at each other and laugh, but at the sound of his free and bright laugh, she just stares at her boy like he’s a dream come true— first pic is taken, looking at eddie like he hung the moon while he’s mid-laugh.

eddie notices her staring and goes from loud laughs to breathless ones, a smile on his lips, and whispers a soft “what?”— second picture is taken as the girl quickly presses her lips to his, her very first kiss, and it’s caught on camera.

the third picture depicts eddie’s sweet girl nervously rambling “i was going to ask for permission first, i promise!” while eddie has a glassy, dreamy look on his face, slack jawed, looking at her lips.

and at the fourth snap? eddie presses forward to shut her up with another impossibly soft and tender kiss, both of their eyes are closed and his hand is holding her jaw, thumb brushing her cheek.

after they part from the second kiss, eddie acknowledges that it was her first kiss, a shy “was that okay?” to which his sweetheart just smiles really big and nods excitedly over and over with a breathless giggle. that was the perfect first and second kiss and she couldn’t ask for more.

they hold hands the rest of the night.

Gojo x short!reader headcanons

Word count: 1,180 ish

Warnings: smut (minors DNI), SIZE KINK, slight praise kink, creampie, oral (f receiving), fluff, afab reader, she/her pronouns. Also the reader is described as curvy like one time.

-Gojo Satoru doesn't actually see you in a romantic or sexual way at first. Not that he finds you unattractive, he's just never dated anyone that much shorter than him before or really even thought about it. He's never really considered himself someone who's into big size differences (which is kind of ironic because he's so much bigger than almost everyone lol). He thinks you're cute though. He also definitely likes the way you literally look up to him. Itty bitty thing, you don't even come up to his shoulder.

-He teases you relentlessly about your height, calls you shorty, shortstack, vertically challenged, you name it. He ruffles your hair and does that thing where he uses your head as an arm rest just to see the annoyed look on your face. The more he does stuff like this over time the more flirtatious it becomes even if that wasn't his original intention. Eventually it ends up being his way of blatantly trying to flirt with you although you might not realize this at first 'cause he just has a flirty personality in general.

-He thinks it must be annoying to be so short. How do you see over things?? (spoiler alert: you don't) How do you reach things??? Speaking of, he will purposefully move things out of your reach to watch you jump up to get them. He thinks it's hilarious (and also maybe he likes the way it makes your boobs bounce). After awhile he will offer to be your tall knight in shining armour and get it for you. But you always say no, you've been short your whole life and you can do it yourself.

-He appreciates that independent element of you, but at the same time, sometimes he gets annoyed when you break out the stepstool and actually do get it yourself so he will hide it from you just so you have to relent and accept his help. Petty? Yes. Effective? Also yes.

-He'll also sometimes refuse to bend down to let you kiss him just to see you do a cute lil jump to try to reach him. He never refuses for very long though because he just can't resist his cute lil girlfriend and her adorable pouty face. Then he bends down and squishes your cheeks until your lips pucker and tells you that you're too cute for your own good before finally giving you that kiss you wanted, and then a couple more to make up for him messing with you.

-He will offer to let you sit on his shoulders so you can see in crowds. No, you're not too heavy. He's the strongest, remember? No, this isn't about jujutsu, but the fact still stands. And it's definitely not an excuse to feel your thighs around his head, or anything like that...

But when you guys do get intimate, oh boy.

-He never really thought about it before, but now he's kind of starting to like the way you guys are physically opposites - he's tall, lanky, and hard; you're short, curvy and soft. Even your hands, your legs, you're just so tiny compared to him and he doesn't know why that excites him so much now, but it does. He could really just pick you up and toss you onto the bed like a ragdoll. He won't though...unless you want him to?

Oh, you do want him to? Say no more, princess.

-In which case, he will toss you onto the bed and push those pretty thighs of yours apart so he can feel them around his head properly this time.
