VEDIC ASTRO NOTES #2
by veronicawildewest
Tumblr media
(disclaimer: if you get it, you get it. If you don't, go fv' k yourselves)
🖍️ 1st lord connected to 6th house (Vedic astrology) - The characteristics you dislike the most in your enemy, the same behavior you have, but you don't notice it in yourself. Me VS myself is the theme of these natives. (I can attest to this; I have this placement personally. I just realized it and am working on myself)
🖍️What I often see in Vedic astrology texts is that Venus Ketu is disinterested in love, which I find ridiculous. Venus Ketu natives are some of the most intense people I know when it comes to love, obsessive to the point that they have a hard time letting go. Maybe it's because Venus aspects Rahu even though Venus is conjunct Ketu. Ketu will not work without Rahu (and vice versa).
🖍️When transit Saturn aspects one of your luminaries, there are two possibilities I can think of:
Saturn will make you feel the consequences of every decision you make.
You will also experience situations where you need to use dedication/hard work wherever Saturn transits in your natal chart.
🖍️I can't understand the stereotypical "tropical Virgos are hardworking." No, they're not, especially Purva Phalguni Nakshatra.
🖍️However, some stereotypes I understand are why "tropical Scorpios are dark, mysterious, and possessive." They are Sidereal Libra. That's the characteristic of Venus. Fixation on the other half? Venus. Specifically on the Nakshatras, Vishakha Nakshatra.
🖍️The stereotypes that I understand are:
"Why (tropical) Geminis are so charming?" The nakshatras Mrigashira and Rohini are connected to obsession. They have many stalkers (or some of them stalk, but either way, they have many more stalkers).
"Why (tropical) Cancers are known to be manipulative?" Because of the sidereal Gemini. Mercury rules manipulation. It's the Magician for a reason. The motherly aspect and crybaby behavior are because of the teardrop symbolism of the Ardra and the Aditi deity of the nakshatra Punarvasu.
🖍️While discovering and learning about Vedic astrology, I appreciate Western astrology more, not because I hate Vedic (I love both of them). It's just that some stereotypes have been made about tropical/Western astrology, which I listed above. They're not biased (well, it depends on the person, but the system itself isn't) because they explain and intertwine things that I find really interesting and beautiful.
🖍️Additional note to the observation that I made about the Rahu-Ketu axis and trends. The quarantine started when Gemini/Sagittarius and Taurus/Scorpio were in the nodes. It really makes sense to me why TikTok grew in popularity over that time because of Gemini (attention span thing). The Taurus/Scorpio thing represents the finances of countries that are affected when it comes to it (the obvious one is transformation because Scorpio is here). Also, Joe Biden was elected as the President of the U.S.A.
When Rahu is in Aries/Ketu in Libra transits:
Queen Elizabeth died. (sidereal Aries sun)
SZA dropped an album. One of her songs is "Kill Bill," very influenced by Bharani nakshatra (credits to Claire).
🖍️I know they have a placement of Aries and Libra, but these are the topics that are the talk of the town and memorable when you start remembering the year.
🖍️Vedic Twitter is weird. Sometimes, on the other hand, some of their observations really make sense. The weird thing that I found is the romanticization of Moon-Mars synastry. I have this with someone (I am the Moon person). I really hated it. They made me trigger anger in me. Not lust, but pure rage that I don't really like expressing.
🖍️The petty ones that I know are moon nakshatra natives (Rohini, Hasta, Shravana). I just don't agree that (I found someone tweeted about it) Moon nakshatra women are "girl's girl," "support nice women." Eh no, not that they hate other women but no. They just don't, and that's ok. They don't hate women, but they don't support it either if that makes sense (if you get it, you get it)
Additional note to this: Ironically, Hasta is the maiden archetype of nuns (that Claire Nakti mentions in her video), but they're the horniest ones I know too.
🖍️I love that Tropical Sagittariuses are known to be happy, free, and wild (looking directly at Miley Cyrus because she has a sidereal Scorpio stellium). It makes much more sense when Mars is at home in Scorpio. These natives are blunt too. The "darkness" that makes Scorpio a Scorpio is the transformation and hardships they've gone through. Different from Libra though.
🖍️9th house/12th house/Jupiter aren't appreciated as much by me. They're literally about beliefs. Your subconscious/unconscious self. Connection to manifestation for me. That's why they oppose the mercurial signs (magician) and mutable signs. They speak (3rd house)/act (6th house) on what they fear (12th house) or believe (9th house).
It's applicable for all people, you literally don't need a strong Jupiter/Jupiter Rashi to manifest easily.

Aaravos/the merciful one theory
TDP - Aaravos/The merciful one theory
Part 1
We’ve all been asking ourselves the same daunting question, who are they?
They’ve only been seen twice; in the statue with Aaravos, and a leaked image from s6 ep1. Known by the tital ‘the merciful one’, we know nothing about this seemingly important character, who may be a significant part of Aaravos’s backstory. I have some thoughts in which I am here to share.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point in time, I'm sure everybody has seen a glimpse of these leaked season 6 images floating around the internet; and everyone can't help but wonder what may be happening in this scene. While there are so many thrilling possibilities to what is amidst, I have crumpled together bits and pieces of engaging ideas and intriguing thoughts to form my theory on who this mysterious person might be. A daughter; specifically Aravos's daughter.
Let's start our story here, with this picture:
Tumblr media
In this image, it looks as though Aaravos is pleading with someone. Asking, or perhaps begging them for/to do something. Seeing as though the other person is referred to as 'the merciful one' maybe he's asking them to spare the humans, saving an enter race doomed to be disposed of seems quite merciful.
My reasoning for saying Aaravos's daughter instead of a lover, friend, or possibly another leader, is because of this:
Tumblr media
This post does say 'the' elven leader, and not 'an' meaning it could refer to someone such as Aditi. As well as the fact that this passage only refers to this person with the pronouns she/her, while the merciful one is confirmed non-binary and uses they/them. Still, we do not know who the writing was talking of before this part; meaning if they were speaking of Aaravos, the term 'the elven leader' still stands.
So even with new information that might prove this theory false, it still provides some interesting ideas.
------------------------------
Part 2
My friend (@6coco_nut9 on tiktok) originally thought of some of this, luv ya brah <3
If you look at the pictures at the top of the page, you can see that Aaravos is in fact NOT crying in front of the merciful one, as the silhouette in front of him has long hair and tmo has short hair.
If you look closely at the silhouette with Aaravos, you will notice some things:
Similar colors in different lighting
Same ear placement
And the gold accent on their clothing next to the hair (which Aaravos has in the same spot)
This leads me to believe that Aaravos is looking at a reflection of himself (this is where Coco's idea comes in); and that maybe Aaravos is having a flashback to this moment:
Tumblr media
He's looking at his reflection in the water when tmo comes into play. This ties into the 'tmo is Aaravos's daughter theory' as maybe he is crying because he is asking for help.
-------------------------------
BONUS THEORY!
Tumblr media
(For context, this is Aaravos’s voice actor)
Leola is Aaravos’s mother. Change my mind.

Immigrantly Media Presents Banterly Podcast Dissecting Gen Z Pop Culture
Tumblr media
When people converse about starting a podcast, they usually begin with "who will be in the podcast." That decision takes up the bulk of their planning process. Others -- perhaps those with a more acute sense of a game plan -- decide to reverse engineer the process and begin with a clear definition of their audience. In effect, "Who the hell is going to listen to our podcast and listen to us talk?"
After listening to the premiere episode of Banterly, I strongly suspect that the producers and hosts clearly delineated their audience. That target audience is Gen-Z.
The creators of the award-winning podcast Immigrantly have launched a new show for an under-served market: Gen-Z listeners who want to hear complex and critical conversations about pop culture.
Perhaps the folks at Immigrantly Media have inspected the data I've reviewed numerous times. That listener data from PodTrac and others reveals that podcast growth is strongest among Millennials and Gen-Z listeners. The weakest demographic for podcast listening is people over 65. Technology challenges and ingrained media habits limit podcasts among older listeners. The folks at Immigrantly Media note: "We know that Gen-Z podcast listeners are on the rise, but where can they get an analysis of the latest TikTok trends, contemporary films, and TV shows from people their own age? Enter Banterly." Hosted by Aditi Misra, a Gen-Z comedian, and Aidan Taylor, a recent journalism grad, these two "banter" about pop culture and media analysis from "an unfiltered and socially conscious Gen-Z perspective." Aditi Misra is a recent graduate from Barnard College, originally from Tampa, Florida. She does stand up around New York City and is part of a sketch group called Dem We Boys with her dearest friends (notably, the Boys). Her obsessions are lengthy, including John Mulaney, the NYC Ferry, and labor unions. Her biggest fear? Losing her Mort impression. And also bugs. Aidan Taylor is a journalism graduate from NYU, hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. When he’s not writing, sleeping, or eating, you can find him watching every single Real Housewives show (besides Jersey), or rewatching the best show of all time, Glee. While he’s not a huge movie buff, The Goonies, Pitch Perfect, and Shiva Baby are his top three (in no particular order). His favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies. “Immigrantly’s focus on the importance of uplifting underrepresented voices inspired me to join their team as a co-host for Banterly,” said co-host Aditi Misra. “Our generation is constantly engaging with TV, movies, and trends, and we hope to do it in a way that brings diverse identities into the conversation. While I can’t wait to give my hot takes on these topics, I am mainly looking forward to what our listeners think. Banterly will ultimately be a two-way conversation, and I hope we all learn something new from it.” Co-host Aidan Taylor shares, “I was drawn to Banterly and Immigrantly Media because of their mission of telling stories from often silenced communities. This new podcast is an exciting way to engage with a younger generation, my generation, on pop-culture, something I have always been interested in, while also having those deep and important conversations tying back to our society as a whole. It’ll hopefully be a fun weekly escape for listeners from the craziness of the world, and they’ll end up laughing with us and maybe step away with a different perspective.”
I listened to the premiere episode that debuted on January 10th and genuinely enjoyed it. The co-hosts have solid chemistry, evident even after the first episode. Both hosts don't try to be funny, but instead allow the flow of conversation to dictate the humor. Their discussions on Taylor's Zillow Stalking, and Misra's ASMR dental devices are delightfully strange, yet so poignantly sincere.
Their initial critique on the TV show Sex Education was comprehensive, incisive, yet casual and conversational.
The debut episode had superb sound design with simple yet effective intro music, rich, deeply resonant co-host voices and a clean sound throughout the episode. Banterly is brought to you by Immigrantly Media, creators of the Immigrantly podcast and Invisible Hate. Funding for Banterly is supported by American Public Media Group (APMG).
Finally, just because Banterly is designed for Gen-Z listeners, that doesn't preclude other generations dialing in. I'm a Baby Boomer and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We all benefit when we reach out to other generations, races, people with different lifestyles, and those with disagree with.
At the end of the episode, the co-hosts do the typical "we want your feedback and here's how to do it" speech. Then Taylor made me laugh when he admitted, "Yeah, I don't handle negative feedback well."
Oh, the honesty. It's refreshing.

How BIPOC Influencers Are Reclaiming Sustainable Fashion, in Their Own Words
Rosie Okotcha, Andrea Cheong, and Aditi Mayer. Image Sources: Laura Notlo; Alise Jane; courtesy of Aditi Mayer. It’s likely that buzzwords like “overconsumption” and “de-influencing” are popping up on your TikTok FYP. But even as the sustainable-fashion movement continues to grow, it still often leaves behind certain demographics. Often, white people are the face of the slow- and…

sometimes I see accounts tag anonymous posts with names, including yours, like a lot of times on this other account links will be sent on anon but they’ll tag it aditi? how do you guys know who it is on anon? or do y’all just assume? /gen
i always know an anon is from nati when it’s a pun! she sends a ton of dad jokes and it’s very safe to assume it’s nati 99% of the time you get one
as for aditi i think she just sends amelia tiktoks a whole lot and they probably have the same 99% accuracy assumption 💀
