“Would you start over if you had the chance?”
Existential Crisis Sentence Starters

"Would I live this hellish nightmare over of thousands of years of hard work being obliterated in mere decades by people who don't care a lick about the people I have loved and lost? Well, when you ask it like that, I suppose I'd just love the chance to do all this misery all over again!"

CNJ/WHM Skills Overview P1: CNJ Spells
Tumblr media
Read more for more CNJ spells from 1.0...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe this is the same order of the spells you learn in modern FFXIV. I really don't have a lot to comment on this - they have a longer cast time and non-instance recast time like we've seen in the THM spells because, well combat was slower.
Tumblr media
Remember what they took away from us. But not really. I know that everyone missed Protect from modern FFXIV, and I guess this is a hot take, but it wasn't all that effective. It amounted to a 3% damage reduction, and when they cut Protect, they went ahead and adjusted stats so that you have a 3% damage reduction. So you basically always have a protect on nowadays.
While it is a cool spell for class flavor (which they kind of ruined by making it a role skill in SB), I don't miss it.
Tumblr media
Cleric Stance had a bit of a history, and it's another spell people miss. It's funny because from what I heard, in ARR, it was a literal swap between your intelligence and mind values, and then later on before it was cut it was more like it's 1.0 counterpart. This is heresay though. AND apparantly when it swapped the values, you also got the Attack buff and Healing debuff. It was replaced with a Cleric Role role action in SB and ultimately removed in Shadowbringers.
Tumblr media
This spell confuses me. You basically turn HP into MP, and you set it aside so that you can get a big MP jump in the future I guess? I guess it's useful for a burst, but FFXIV 1.0 wasn't really known to have such bursts like modern FFXIV.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stonera continues a trait we've seen in some spell lines where by default it's an AoE.
Tumblr media
Stoneskin is another spell people miss, and it's one that NPCs still cast from time to time. Unlike Protect which is a general damage reduction, Stoneskin acted more like Scholar's Adloquium spell.
This was in the game until Stormblood, and even featured a Stoneskin II, which was an AoE. Like Protect, Stoneskin I and Stoneskin II lasted for a long time, 30 minutes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Turn everything into an AoE...it just takes longer to cast. Not sure if this is a good trade off.
Tumblr media
This was another spell that was in modern FFXIV until Stormblood...and it was basically reborn into Lucid Dream. Even the hotbar icon for ARR Shroud of Saints looks like Lucid Dream, just recolored.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We've actually covered Repose in an earlier post. I'm still shock it's essentially the same spell as a THM spell that they get at lvl 42.
So that's the CNJ spells. Next we'll talk WHM actions and Traits.
My one takeaway is how the spells are very similar to what they were in ARR, and I have yet another one of my famous theories (tm) regarding how CNJ changed during the development of 1.0, due to some recent data I've come across.
Do you miss Stoneskin, Protect and Cleric's Stance? Tell me what I'm missing out on. I never got to use Stoneskin but I did play during Stormblood which still had Protect and Cleric's Stance.

Koko has started a new journey because the person leveling her (me) hates caster classes, I dont know what I was thinking other than I wanted her to be able to blow things up in firey awesomeness. Shes so happy to be a Lancer now, they even put a pink flower over the door for her (and no she is not going to care if you tell her it’s for the holiday, she IS the holiday damnit).
Also I had to write a little something to show how she decided to do this. Salix was borrowed from @cinlat and it’s also super important that @tishinada hear about the hijinks Koko got up to while Zas wasn’t around.
Pointy Ideas. Word Count: 983
Koko groaned and slumped in her chair, staring up at the ceiling. When she dreamed about being an adventurer as a child she thought about weidling powerful magic spells and kicking bad guy asses. What she did NOT dream about was spending all her free time reading book after book to learn said magic. Thinking of all the books lining the walls of the Thaumaturge Guild Hall made her shudder in horror.
Books had never been Koko’s friend. She got distracted easily, lost her spot on the page unless she followed her fingers and sometimes the letters seemed to be all jumbled around. She’d managed to eke her way through the basic schooling her small village had provided, but little of that focused on letters and reading. She had a drive and motivation to do the work but all the reading was making her head spin, and not in a fun way like her favorite mead did.
Sitting up and pushing the book she had been trying to read away, Koko found her eyes drawn to the lance leaning against the corner of the room. Salix had once been a Lancer but the boy wasn’t cut for it, by his own admission, and now preferred the healing Scholar arts. Seeing him switch jobs, and being so much happier for it, made her wonder…
Could she do that too?
This wasn’t a new feeling. At first she had been so excited to learn the Thaumaturge arts, she could create fireballs! With her hands! It was amazing. Everything she had ever wanted. But now it all felt so complicated and overwhelming.
Studying as a Thaumaturge had made her hesitant to pick up any other spellcasting jobs and the healing arts didn’t interest her either. But that lance gave her ideas. Pointy ideas. The longer she stared at the lance and thought about it the bigger her grin grew.
Unable to restrain herself any longer she asked across the room and grabbed the lance. It was sized for Salix who obviously was much taller than her. It was heavy, especially at the top where the blade was and she staggered a few steps backward before finding her balance.
Koko turned the lance a few times, spinning the wood in her fingers. It would take some practice to get used to its side but Koko was sure she could manage. Remembering how she had seen Salix use the lance she decided there was no better time than now to start her new career.
-------- Several minutes later --------
The jarring sound of break glass made Salix look up from the papers on the  Adloquium spell he had been studying. He wanted to get the healing spell committed to memory as soon as possible. Life in Eorzea was getting more and more dangerous everyday and he wanted to know he could protect his family.
More glass broke in the main room and he shot to his feet. Koko had been pouring over what she called her “Fire Makin’” books when he had come upstairs to do his own studying. He had learned when he first started pursuing the Scholar arts that they could not study together. Koko was easily distracted and, in turn, would find wants to distract him and soon neither had learned anything.
But even for Koko breaking things while trying to study was unusual.
He was at the door in seconds but hesitated before opening it. He had learned the hard way that rushing into a room tended to surprise the small woman and had no desire to dodge fireballs today. Slowly he opened the door, peering through the crack as the main room became visible.
Koko had a talent for surprising people, she seemed to take great joy in jumping out of small spaces or high up hidey holes to shock people. Salix knew this, had come to expect it, but nothing had prepared him to see her clumsily swinging his lance about. It was almost two feet longer than him, the length customized to match his stature, and for a person who was just about three feet tall it was an almost comical sight.
Almost because the glass and broken ceramic pieces on the floor were increasing with every swing.
“Koko what are you doing?”
Koko stopped mid-swing and grinned widely at him. “Magic sucks. I’m gonna stab things!”
Figuring that was all the explanation he was going to get with how excited she was he didn’t question her sudden change in career paths but motioned to the floor. “Maybe you should stab things outside where things are less breakable?”
She tilted her head to the side for a moment and then looked down. Surprise showed plainly on her face. “Did I do that?”
Hoping it was safe to move closer now, Salix stepped into the room. “I think so.”
“Oops,” Koko said, looking at him, then the mess, then longingly at the lance in her hand. “I guess I need to clean it before I can take this outside.”
Salix crouched down and smiled at her. He hadn’t been sure he’d like the energetic Lalafell when they met, she was so chaotic, but she certainly kept life from being boring. “How about I help you clean it up and then show you some of what I learned when that was my lance.”
Koko’s eyes went wide and he barely had any time to prepare himself before she dropped the lance and launched herself at him, knocking him down into the mess on the floor in her haste to hug him.
“Thank you thank you thank you!” Koko cried as she squeezed him as tightly as she could.
Salix grimaced, not from the hug because Koko had made sure he was getting used to those, but the feel of glass poking into his backside. He was going to need those healing spells much sooner than he had anticipated.

his friends being tanks stresses him out so much. the only tank that doesnt stress him out is laurel, and that's just because he knows she's insane and he hasn't met her before she was a tank. part of why he disliked moen being a tank was because he just sincerely gets distressed watching his close friends take hits. especially when he can't do anything about it when hes dps'ing hes just [screams thru teeth]
in aus where moen lives he dualclasses as sch much more often. thancred becoming tank also is 'urianger officially gives up and becomes healer main bc he cant live like this where laurel isnt the only tank'. it is so stressful. he does not want people to be harmed. yes being harmed is inevitable but have you considered being harmed less. take this adloquium.

@grumpyascianteddybear (Continued from here!)
When Morganaux had reached for Emet-Selch’s hand, he had expected to be met with anger. A scolding at best, he imagined, and violence at worst— he had taken precautions, preparing a particularly sturdy Adloquium shield upon himself before he sought out the Ascian on his own, but it appeared that it had been for naught.
Instead, he was met with... Sadness? Or, at least Morganaux thought he sensed a hint of melancholy in the man’s voice when he pulled away, glove left behind in the Elezen’s hand.
But perhaps he had been mistaken, as he often was when it came to trying to read the hearts of others. Perhaps he was imagining things, or perhaps he had been projecting his own feelings onto the other. Being in the presence of their kind always did remind him of the one he loved and lost, all because of them, old wounds clawing themselves open again over a man that none but he would mourn for.
Whether or not the Ascian felt anger or sadness or something in between did not matter in the end. Morganaux was here to question him, and Emet-Selch’s feelings were not relevant, real or imagined. What was relevant was piecing together his intentions, and more importantly, making certain that his presence would not cause Hadianna any grief.
Masking his frustration under a sweet smile, Morganaux held the glove over his heart, gaze as innocent as a doe’s as he looked up at the other. “Pardon me, but I’m afraid I don’t understand the message you’re trying to convey here. In Ishgardian glove etiquette, a single dropped glove means ‘yes,’ but leaving one in my hand is... Not something I am familiar with. You’ll have to use your words instead if you’d like me to understand.”
Ears flickering in amusement as a rather petty idea filled his mind, he then turned the glove inside out as he pretended to look it over. “Beautifully crafted glove, by the by, but let’s get to the point, Mister Emet-Selch. If you insist upon inflicting your presence upon us, I want to have a word with you about... You. Your purpose for being here, and why you’re not simply attacking us like the rest of you lot. I’ll leave you alone after you give me answers. But if you don’t, you’ll just have to put up with me until I’ve heard what I want to hear.”

I think it's time I add some of her custom spells to her profile. I have some really cool ones that are FFXIV themed. They can easily be translated into other verses if need be, but these were the original concepts when I wrote them the first time.
Buckle up because there's a lot to unpack here.
Regen: A simple spell that uses the natural healing capabilities of the target’s body to accelerate cell regeneration and healing growth. Requires no concentration, and can last for up to an hour.
Regenae: can be cast like an umbrella to nearby comrades, but requires concentration to
cast, and only lasts about five minutes.
Aether Burn: A single target, instant cast damaging spell. More exhaustive than damaging, this spell targets the enemy’s natural aether stores. By destroying the means in which the body contains and stores Aether, it forces the energy to leak out of the victim. The more Aether an enemy has, the more visible the effect of the spell becomes.
Glare: An Astral aspected quick offensive spell. Minimal channeling time and can provide some knockback to the target. Amount of damage depends on how much energy is put into it, but it is most effective against single targets.
Adloquium: Requires a short amount of channeling to cast. Draws upon her innate Aether to heal minor wounds that would not be considered emergencies. Can be cast multiple times.
Aloquia: Can be cast in an area. Requires 10 seconds to channel, and covers all living creatures within a 10 ft radius of the caster.
Aether Mend: Requires 15 seconds to cast. Mainly used for more severe injuries that damage muscle, damage or break bones, or near fatal injuries. Uses a majority of her energy.
Surecast: Allows her to instantly cast any spell that requires a long channeling time. Will drain the appropriate amount of Aether required to cast the chosen spell over the course of 5 minutes.
Nature’s Fount: Requires only a few seconds to channel. Creates a blanket of regenerative healing over a wide area. The more friendly targets within the radius, the higher the energy cost. Regenerative properties only last until more severe wounds are no longer life-threatening, but can heal more minor injuries completely. This is considered a utility spell due to it’s fast-casted capability.
Temperence: manifests aetheric wings of light on the back of the caster, and protects them and their marked allies from severe wounds for the duration the spell is held. It also accelerates the potency of any other healing spell cast during it's active time. Consumes a large, but steady amount of Aether
Imbue: Requires a high level of concentration and energy used over time. This allows the caster to imbue spells into almost any inanimate object. The effects last longer in consumed items such as potions or even salves for healing purposes. Imbibing weapons or other tools with an element or spell can only last as long as her concentration on the item.
Enchant: As it is not a spell she intended to use, more born out of creativity and necessity, this requires two hours of channeling, and nearly all of her energy. This is only done for weapons or small accessories like rings or charms, and can leave her unconscious in the early stages of her time as a host.
Nophica's Mend: An intermediate healing spell that requires high concentration until the subject is healed to a stable condition. Can be used in emergencies but has a relatively higher toll than basic healing spells. Used to prevent permanent damage to a subject's body if the wounds are severe enough to cripple without intervention.>
Menphina's Blessing: Requires the use of the Moonstone artifact to work. This spell can rapidly repair any injury to the subject it was cast on, as well as make them resistant to pain. The spell requires concentration on the subject, and shares the cost load between the artifact and the caster. If the spell was broken before the caster could appropriately sever the connection, the spell will backfire on both the caster and the subject. They will not be injured but will both lose a significant amount of energy.
Thal's Respite: Can be cast alone or in preparation for Nald's Reflection, this spell prepares the body for an aetheric stasis in which the caster will spare their life, or another's in anticipation of a fatal blow. If the subject does not sustain an injury that would result in death, the used Aether dissipates from the caster, leaving them vulnerable and unable to cast any Aether-based magics for a week. If the subject sustains life-threatening wounds, they would instead be given up to 10 minutes of extra time to be healed, and the excess Aether from the caster being siphoned to the subject until the subject dies, or their life is spared.
Nald's Reflection: Typically used in conjunction with Thal's Respite, this spells' Aether demands will increase with the severity of the wounds of the subject. This half of the spell only requires a few minutes to channel. Found in lost tomes of ancient healing magics, this spell will reflect the wounds of the subject onto the caster. This effectively heals the subject but can leave the caster in a fatal state.>
Liturgy of The Balance: more formally known as Nald'Thal's Price this spell combines the use of Thal's Respite and Nald's Reflection. The use of this spell is an effort to save someone from unavoidable death. Requires the same amount of time to channel as just Nald's Reflection, but the total cost of Aether is possibly cataclysmic on the caster. While channeling, the spell begins siphoning energy from nearby threatening presences, and surrounding plant life, leaving a twenty foot radius of decaying plant matter in its wake. Once the appropriate amount of energy has been stored, the wounds from the subject are transferred to the caster, and the caster's remaining aether is transferred to the subject, sparing them from death's grip and restoring them entirely. The energy siphoned hangs in the air for a brief moment once the subject is restored, but then flows into the caster, granting them a limited amount of time before their wounds actually manifest. During this time, the excess aether is used to accelerate the caster's natural healing rate in their body, granting them a chance at surviving the mortal wounds they just absorbed. The wounds will slowly manifest on the caster over the course of twenty minutes as the spell reaches its conclusion.
[All of these are from a google doc I have that's supposed to represent her actual compendium that she carries around. I still have a lot of lore I need to include, but if you want to read what I have currently written on there, click the link here]

The sage's main armament were short staves known as nouliths. According to Lalah, they were originally based on objects known as adder stones, which harbored spiritual energy. Some of the more ancient whispers within the soul crystal explained that they would place them around their patients to create a confluence through which to channel magic. It reminded Lenar of the arcane geometries utilized by arcanists, scholars, and summoners. He found himself idly directing the nouliths as Lalah spoke, tracing out the familiar lines and patterns of his scholarly magic and feeling the way the aether flowed through it. Could he, perhaps, use the nouliths as an alternate means of weaving his scholarly magics? It was an intriguing concept to ponder as the duo made their way to Idyllshire.
"You said you hail from Ishgard, correct?" Lalah asked, shaking him out of his thoughts again.
"Hm? Yes, that is correct."
"Are you familiar with the layout of Idyllshire?"
"I am," Lenar said, with a hint of annoyance. Of course he was, he's spent so much time here over the past couple of years he could navigate this place with his ears covered and sleepwalking.
"Well, the tales do not do the place justice. Truly impressive what the goblins and their fellow scavengers have managed to build upon the ruins of our colony!" She cleared her throat. "To the task at hand, though... As I mentioned before, we have reason to believe that the fugitives have recently passed through this town, and may even still be here. For the sake of efficiency, I suggest we split up and search. I will see to the town's south, if you could tend to the north."
"Alright."
Asking around in the northern end of the city didn't turn up many leads, however. Either their fugitives weren't here, or they were more stealthy than Lalah thought. Lenar could hear Lalah's approaching footsteps behind him, but before she had a chance to say anything, a voice cut through the usual bustle.
"Help! Somebody, please—I need help!"
"Did you hear that?" The concern was evident in Lalah's voice. "That man is in trouble!" "Let's go!"
Lenar wasn't sure how many were present on the scene. He knew there were at least two people present—the helpless man and whoever was menacing him.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" This voice was different from the first one. Lenar wasn't in the habit of trying to guess gender based on voices. This voice sounded younger, with a dangerous edge to its tone. Whoever this was sounded less than pleased with the poor soul they were attacking.
Lenar heard the telltale whoosh of thaumaturgy. Different position than the one who just spoke—at least two attackers. Great. Perfect! Without even thinking, Lenar rushed towards approximately where the soon to be victim had called out from, reaching for his sleeve and beginning the process of casting Adloquium to place a barrier upon himself.
"Stop this at once!" Lalah called out to the attackers.
A moment too late did Lenar remember he had changed out of his usual attire, meaning his spells were not conveniently weaved into the fabric. He cursed under his breath as he realized he'd just placed himself in the path of an unknown mage's fireball without any sort of protection. Damn it, Erna was the worst influence.
Lenar flinched as he felt the heat of the flames reach him, bracing himself for the inevitable impact... which didn't come. There was an explosion, and he could feel the heat of the flames as if through... a barrier.
"A sage's barrier?" Lalah exclaimed.
"Loifa," murmured an unfamiliar voice. Judging by the position, it must belong to the mage that just attacked him.
"Too many eyes and ears," said another unfamiliar voice, bringing the tally up to three. "We'd best leave."
There was a soft, annoyed huff from the first attacker. "I don't know who you are, and I don't care. Do not get in our way again. You've been warned."
He heard the whoosh of a teleport spell being cast, and the telltale sound of it whisking all three attackers away.
"W-Wait!" Lalah called out in vain. She made a frustrated noise beside Lenar. "That was them—our fugitives. But why did their leader protect you?"
That was a good question indeed. The leader was a sage as well, wasn't he? Perhaps...
"Ack, such questions can wait," Lalah continued. "We must render aid to this man."
The two of them helped the man to his feet, Lenar using the most basic of healing spells to patch up whatever injuries the man might have. At least he could channel that without having to worry about tracing the right arcane patterns first.
"Thank you," the man said said. "Had you not intervened when you did, I dread to think what might have become of me. Permit me to introduce myself. Faldrinet of Sharlayan, at your service."
"Truly?" Lalah exclaimed. "I am Sharlayan too—a recent graduate of the Studium, in fact. Would you mind telling us what happened?"
"Oho, that an alumna should come to my rescue! Thaliak watches over His own! As to what happened..." Lenar heard the gentle rustle of the man's clothes as he shrugged. "What is there to say? I was going about my business when they set upon me, without warning or provocation."
"I see," Lalah said, with a hint of disappointment. "What is your business, if you do not mind my asking?"
"Healing," Faldrinet replied without hesitation. "The provision of it, that is. I am a sage, you see, and I travel the realm, providing treatment gratis to those who cannot afford it."
"A sage besides!" Lalah sounded enthused. "Speaking of which, one of your assailants─the Viera man─also wielded sage magic. Was he known to you?"
So that was the one who had spoken. Loifa, a Viera sage. Lenar noted that for future reference.
"No, I had never so much as laid eyes upon him before. I do have an inkling, however, as to why the villains have come here."
"Do tell," Lenar said.
"If they use the sage's art for ill, then their destination is like to be Saint Mocianne's Arboretum."
"The arboretum?" Lalah repeated. "What could they possibly seek in that abandoned place?"
"I'd assume they mean to track down some manner of herb within," Lenar said.
"Undoubtedly."
"I've been through the arboretum before in my travels," Lenar remarked. "Alas, I did not have a chance to examine the plant life particularly closely, as I was more concerned with fending off the less hospitable inhabitants at the time."
"Truly? What were you doing there, if I might ask?" Lalah said.
"Helping some treasure hunters secure a most precious treasure: seeds with which to cultivate new food supplies for Idyllshire."
"There are a wealth of various plants within the arboretum, both beneficial like those cultivars you found, and dangerous. Following the exodus, the cultivation of certain plants became forbidden in Sharlayan. But that which can no longer be found in the motherland still grows freely there."
"So you suspect they are after an ingredient whose cultivation has been outlawed," Lenar concluded.
"I see!" Lalah said. "That does stand to reason, and I daresay it was for your knowledge that the fugitives attacked you."
"Hmmm... You too are a sage," Faldrinet remarked, clearly speaking to Lenar, "yet you do not appear to be Sharlayan. How did you come by your soul crystal?"
"The good people of Physis Technon had entrusted the crystal to me," Lalah explained. "And when it exhibited a strong resonance in Lenar's presence, I in turn entrusted it to him."
"Lenar, you say?" Faldrinet said. There was a moment's hesitation before he followed up with, "You would not happen to be Lenar Nillefrant, would you?"
"Yes, I am."
"The very same Lenar Nillefrant responsible for single-handedly reviving the lost art of Nymian healing magicks?"
"I wouldn't say single-handedly," Lenar said, absentmindedly fiddling with the cuff of his sleeve. "I never would have discovered it had Alka Zolka not asked for my assistance in his own scholarly pursuits."
"Wait, that was you?" Lalah exclaimed. "So that's why your name sounded so familiar! ...I'll admit, part of me had wanted to run into you based on everything I'd heard about your skill with healing magicks."
"Then... you were chosen to inherit," Lenar heard Faldrinet mutter under his breath.
"Is aught amiss, Master Faldrinet?" Lalah asked. Whether she heard the muttering as well or simply noticed a change in his demeanor Lenar could not say.
"No, no, 'tis nothing," he responded quickly. "I was but struck by the remarkable providence to cross paths with both a renowned scholar, as well as other sages so far from home. Ours is a reclusive nation, after all; our policy to observe, not intervene. This did not sit well with me, and so I left Sharlayan behind—as the great Master Louisoix once did."
"A sentiment I find myself rather well acquainted with," Lenar said, "though my own nation's isolationism stems from a different source."
"Ah, yes, you are Ishgardian, correct? I've heard about their policies as well. I do not know what might have driven you to leave your own land, but I can speak for my own. Like Master Louisoix, I too believe it my duty to alleviate suffering in the world."
"So that's what brought you to Eorzea," Lalah said. "You are a noble soul, Master Faldrinet, and I commend your resolve."
"Well, I must return to the road. I thank you again for coming to my aid. Till next we meet, let us both endeavor to seek out new knowledge and possibilities—for the betterment of mankind."
"Fare you well, Master Faldrinet," Lenar said.

Sch Fun Tip: Biggest Shield Combo
Make the biggest Scholar shield (as of 6.2) with the following -
Fey Illumination + Protraction + Recitation -> Adloquium -> Deployment Tactics + Seraph Shield
This is just what Scholar can do alone. Certain healing buffs from other teammates can make the shields bigger, and oGCD shields like Holos will also stack on top (and Ast's Neutral Sect shield!)
Why? Because it's fun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tumblr media
What about Dissipation's buff?: This works too, but you can only do this mid-fight, and obviously you'll be locked out of Seraph since you can't use Dissipation with Seraph. Remember to use Illumination first. The resulting shield is roughly similar (though your non-tank Protraction target will get a very hearty shield :))

Porta Decumana, Ultima marks a buster on the tank.
I throw an Adloquium at the tank before the attack hits, and as luck would have it, I get a crit heal.
The resulting barrier was barely large enough the buster didn't touch any actual health, maximum satisfaction.

Fun activity to try - main a shield healer, then switch to DPS for a roulette or two and see how long it takes before you target the tank for a pre-pull adloquium

FFXIV Patch Notes – 6.38 Update Removes Weekly Abyssos Restrictions
Tumblr media
Square Enix's last patch is, as you might assume, much slimmer than the ones we may anticipate seeing alongside Final Fantasy XIV The Dark Throne because everyone is focused on patch 6.4. Here is everything you need to know about the several PvP job modifications that have yet to be made, as well as adjustments to the Abyssos dungeon in the MMORPG. While the shiny new Dark Throne content update is all that any Eorzean can talk about, FFXIV patch 6.38 updates a whole slew of different PvP job abilities (including slight nerfs to my beloved Ninja), as well as removing the weekly restriction on Abyssos. FFXIV Abyssos weekly restriction removed There are two changes to the Abyssos raid, one dealing specifically with Unsung Blade of Abyssos. These will now drop more than once a week at random, meaning you can farm them up to trade in for Ultralight Tomestones in Radz-At-Han and  Labyrinthos. Additionally, the weekly entry requirement for Pandæmonium: Abyssos (Savage) has been removed, and you’ll now always receive two treasure coffers with non-restricted items. You’ll be able to jump to any circle of the raid at the touch of a button, too.
