Yan-Poll #6

Your yan has been acting strange for a while now.

Well, they were always strange but they became irretable and barely even look at you anymore. Now they constantly lock you into the bedroom and sometimes don‘t even bring you food or water for over a day. It‘s been almost a week of this weird torture where they seem to try to avoid you even though they kidnapped you in the first place! So you decide to be bold.

The next time the yan seems to remember you exist, you grab onto their leg and force them to stay; demanding to know what is going on! But all they do is stutter and grow bright red, trying desperately to get away from you again.

You hold onto them firmly until they suddenly snap. Before you know it, you are pinned to the floor the yan hovering above you, breathing heavily when they reveal the truth to you: They are in a heat/rut.

You didn‘t know human could have something like that, but it turns out shifters live secretly amongst your kind. It‘s a lot to take in but through gritted teeth the yan reveals even more: They don‘t know how long this situation will continue. Against all odds they wanted to save you from the agony of mating with them, where they‘ll lose total control and act like a beast or worse.

However, denying their heat/rut results in them sleeping a lot and being too busy taking care of themselves so that their thoughts are - regrettably - not on you. They’ll keep sleeping and trying to soothe themselves without your help, the heat/rut only increasing the longer they are denied. You’ll be an afterthought as they battle their feelings.

They hate it, but they know that if you give them the go, they would not be able to turn back anymore to the restraints they put on themselves. It might sound like fun at first, but by the time they are done with you, you yan assures you that you might never be the same mentally and physically again. Waiting it out might take a whole month and as adorable as your rebellios nature is, they will not permit you to take care of yourself, lest they might attack you or lose themselves, seeing you around the home in their delirium.

You think about what you‘ll do, feeling the crushing weight on your wrists increasing as the yan pressures you to decide quickly.

theyre such a qpr no one even understands. beyond scout n the fried chicken lady's initial sexual encounter i like to imagine theyve become good friends. perhaps she was from boston as well and her and scout bonded over that, along with a shared sense of humor and laid back attitude. they hang out together and watch tv, get pizza and make out, talk about their childhoods etc. I JUST THINK ITD BE FUN OK.

her and miss pauling have their meetcute at a barbeque during the fourth of july. the fried chicken lady was invited to come along by scout and is just chilling and grabbing some extra meatballs for her plate. miss pauling initially notices her for being a pretty woman but as they talk and the night goes on they bond from both believing in keeping things practical. shes also a lot less uptight than miss pauling however, which leads to a lot of playful teasing (from scout too LOL)

i think scout and the fried chicken lady enable a lot of each other's worse habits and so miss pauling has to deal with two different messy bitches LMAO. also another headcanon i have for their dynamic as an entire unit is that miss pauling will be up late doing paperwork in her home office and they'll be sleeping on her bed, and when she's finally done she goes in and snuggles with them.

im just gonna leave out my thoughts about scout n miss paulings dynamic for the time being cause if i did id be here forever but i did already make a post on my headcanons which you can find here.

You finally did it! You escaped!

For a moment as you run through the forest, waiting for it to clear into a street or village, it truly feels too good to be true. The footsteps behind you keep growing quieter as you create distance between yourself and your yan, you stabbed them so no surprise that they'd grow weaker while you feel like flying.

It feels too good to be true... because it is.

You barely manage to come to a halt at the cliff separating you from a free fall into the raging waters below. Ocean spreads out as far as you can see, but the deep blue keeps itself mysterious and denies you the view of what lies beneath. For all you know, the water could be spiked with stones, ice-cold and hungry.

That is when you hear them finally emerge from the thicket behind you, screaming, pleading for you to stop. Don't do it! Don't jump! You can see the blood soaking through their shirt and they can't seem to catch their breath, but still, they refuse to look away from you. Tears streaming from their eyes, the immeasureable painful idea of living a life without you reflecting in their gaze, mixing with all their love and adoration and the uncanny knowledge that they will follow you wherever you go. You don't know what awaits you in the water, but you finally escaped the torture of being held captive by the yan. Freedom is so close, yet so uncertain.

Random Thing #5

I know that this is bascially copy pasted from my previous admission of cringe, just with a different character, but I feel like with Eyeless Jack it's a tad different. While the previous characters has robot prosthetic eyes, Jack has no eyes. So that leaves more room for things to get gummed up in there and gross. Plus the whole, his sockets leaking a mysterious black fluid constantly. It's constantly flowing, and in areas where it does dry, it can become itchy and crackly on his skin.

Sure, Jack can still see even though his eyes were improperly scooped then boiled into his skull, thanks to his weird demon thing going on, and suuuuuure he should get used to the mess, but it's nice to have someone offer to clean you up after a long stressful day.

He's against the idea at first, since he wants to protect his pride and also because he's not too thrilled with the idea of you being so close to his face. So close to his teeth, that have done so so so many things to people. But eventually, he let's you, after lots of persistence and reassurance and preplanning to make sure he's not crazy a bite

You hold his jaw/chin in your hand and dap a damp towel onto his cheeks, making sure not to just. Dip your fingers into the sockets. It's a little weird, the first few times, you have to admit. You can tell he's following every movement you make, but there's nothing there to prove it really.

Your efforts are in vain by the next hour, but it's still a small act of kindness that Jack treasures

hello! I know you're requests are closed, but I had to ask - if you prefer "soft Ascended Astarion" do you just ignore the dialouges and interactions that are in the game? I like your writing but I just don't know how you work around that. don't feel obligated to answer since your requests are closed.

As for writing “soft Ascended Astarion”, I don’t ignore the canon it’s just not…applicable to the things I write. Like in the game, it’s all about what path you choose. In most of the things I've written Astarion & Tav/MC are happy together and content as an eternal couple. So, his ‘evil side’ doesn’t apply.

You get the harsher comments when you make direct comments against him or try to leave (which yes is messed up) but my opinion is that Astarion is just saying them out of fear & feelings of rejection. He doesn’t want perhaps the only person he’s ever loved and cared for him to leave, or be alone, so he lashes out. Unfortunately, when Astarion strikes he aims to hurt. So he says terrible things (which again isn’t right) but deep down he doesn’t mean them. He’s hurt and now you have to be hurt too.

That’s just my opinion. Maybe one day I’ll write darker A!Astarion & Tav/MC, should the mood strike, but I much rather write ‘I’d burn this city down just to keep you warm’ feels right now.

I’m gonna be honest, he’s an asshole to you. But I mean he’s an asshole to everyone around him a hot one at that though

So there you are, sitting in the interrogation room at what you presume is their headquarters and their leader walks in with someone else, a man who had a seemingly permanent scowl on his face.

You're informed that although you'd be joining the VP, you'll have someone to watch over you for the first few months of your stay there(you're fairly sure it's just to make sure you don't cause any unnecessary trouble.)

You come to find out that the man assigned to you is none other than Yoru himself, somewhat infamous for working alone even if he had over team members to work with him.

the two of you didn't really get along at first, the sound of your bickering could be heard echoing throughout the halls.

but also because of your capabilities, Yoru was also constantly trying to one up you and prove that he was the better radiant, and ultimately it just devolved into a big competition between the two of you

and in all of the time you spent together, its only natural that you guys would end up developing feelings for one another

yoru is a denier and he firmly denies that he has any sort of attraction to you when in actuality it's very, very obvious and jett and phoenix clown on him for it all the time

but nothing can hide the way that he stares at you fondly while watching you do your own thing

Phoenix

you didn't know what to think of him when you first met the man who said he would be keeping an eye on you, he was friendly to you and could keep a conversation which made you want to lower your guard, until you realized thats probably what the protocol wanted you to do.

phoenix is easy to talk to, he cracks jokes and overall lightens the mood as a whole. You wonder how someone like him ended up at a place like the VP, and how he manages to stay lighthearted despite the line of work he's in.

even with all of the walls that you’ve put up, he still somehow manages to worm his way into your heart. Every action he makes suddenly seems endearing to you, and you find yourself looking forward to hanging out with him

what really cemented and confirmed to yourself that you had fallen for him was a fairly precarious situation that happened on one of your missions together. 

You guys had gotten separated from each other and the rapid spraying of gunfire from every direction was definitely not helping. You did eventually manage to get out by utilizing your abilities but by the time you got to Phoenix, you found him sitting in a pool of his fire trying to heal up but he was fairly beaten up

After you secured the area, you spent the rest of the time you had before you guys were rescued holding his face in your hands and talking to him in a quiet voice, mainly about random things, but you were mostly doing it to make sure he would stay with you.

It scared you to admit it out loud but you genuinely had come to care for the man, and almost losing him made you realize it.

Chamber

the sussy man is your bodyguard?? I mean hey, he’s loaded, both in cash and in weapons

he’s very eloquent in the way that he speaks to you, holding you in high regard, you’re unsure of if it’s because he’s wary of your abilities so that’s the only reason why he’s acting genial with you.

and of course he’s a flirt, he manages to find ways to drop the fanciest pick up lines towards you. It’s not surprise that any person would probably end up falling for him

which is what you did

and you question yourself on whether or not a normal sane person would try to find ways to unfall for him LMAO

But alas you’re stuck battling your conflicting feelings for him

he likes to tease you a lot though, seeing you get all riled up is one of his favorite pastimes /hj

you might find it annoying but while you’re turned away, he can’t seem to hide the way his expression softens as he talks and banters with you

each ninja was a different kind of teacher (except Lloyd who basically went on a year long press tour) and it also explains why Rebooted and after they seem a bit more responsible than in season 1 and the pilot

Cole has my favorite teacher characterization because he's objectively an interesting person with cool hobbies but when he is responsible for a group of children he just becomes Dad Who Is Helping Out At The Summer Camp. we never see his classroom, but given his proficiency in the arts we can assume he's the English teacher

since he went to art schools, he's probably not used to kids who aren't actually interested in what's being taught. the louder kids seem to dislike him (ref: running gag of "Mr Cole is the worst"), but that doesn't mean he's necessarily a bad teacher- just not one to humor pranks

also his and Kai's teacher outfits belong in the 1970s. I like the touch of making their ties the same color as their gis

little bit of meta: most of the people who worked on this show went to school in the 80s/90s so to them "older/boring" teacher outfits would look like this. also, as someone who was in the intended age range and saw it at the time of release, this sort of clothing conveyed that the ninja were doing a stuffy adult job- juxtaposed with their colorful gis

Kai appears to be the history teacher? his teaching style is likely structured and straightforward. given his nontraditional childhood, his frustration with the kids likely comes from both his jealousy that they aren't aware of how valuable schooling is and that Nya was much easier to work with when she was their age. at the end of the day he's an older brother who's now in charge of a bunch of kids

he's using an old-fashioned projector with film, which I assume (1) shows how low-budget they are, (2) emphasizes that Kai is out of his element (pun not intended), and (3) juxtaposes them with New Ninjago City

Zane is the one who doesn't know what a vape pen looks like but will listen to you infodump for an hour after class, then drive/walk you home because you missed the bus. he probably doesn't get any of the classroom humor or notice if the kids make fun of him. I can't imagine him ever getting angry at the kids, and he probably is very good at keeping them to a routine and a schedule

in rebooted episode 1 he seems to be teaching science? and the use of catapults is actually quite endearing- he's probably explaining tension and going to get his kids to make little models, which shows that he both is a pretty good teacher and hasn't realized that giving elementary/middle/primary schoolers their own catapults will only lead to chaos

he and Jay have personality-based outfits, with the snowflakes being an obvious allusion to Zane's element and the zig zags on Jay's emulating lightning

the little bowtie on Zane reminds me of Bill Nye the Science Guy (program with a a host of the same name who taught kids about science in a fun and accessibly way- very nostalgic for kids who went to american public school)

Jay is the exhausted teacher who's more interested in his hobbies than class material, and if you get him talking about that hobby, he won't stop until the bell. as a jokester, I think he'd get along well with the kids and definitely encourage them to annoy the other ninja

we don't see his classroom, but given Jay's skills he's probably the math teacher. he'd have a difficult time explaining things in different ways- very gifted people who learn well on their own often find it hard to teach things to others, though he would make sure he doesn't leave anyone behind

Nya definitely teaches math classes, but she probably handles tutoring as well since she's well-balanced in most subjects. it would also give her an intelligence network- kids come to her room after class/during lunch to complain and gossip. she uses it in the noble pursuit to antagonize the others
