I’m gonna be honest, he’s an asshole to you. But I mean he’s an asshole to everyone around him a hot one at that though

So there you are, sitting in the interrogation room at what you presume is their headquarters and their leader walks in with someone else, a man who had a seemingly permanent scowl on his face.

You're informed that although you'd be joining the VP, you'll have someone to watch over you for the first few months of your stay there(you're fairly sure it's just to make sure you don't cause any unnecessary trouble.)

You come to find out that the man assigned to you is none other than Yoru himself, somewhat infamous for working alone even if he had over team members to work with him.

the two of you didn't really get along at first, the sound of your bickering could be heard echoing throughout the halls.

but also because of your capabilities, Yoru was also constantly trying to one up you and prove that he was the better radiant, and ultimately it just devolved into a big competition between the two of you

and in all of the time you spent together, its only natural that you guys would end up developing feelings for one another

yoru is a denier and he firmly denies that he has any sort of attraction to you when in actuality it's very, very obvious and jett and phoenix clown on him for it all the time

but nothing can hide the way that he stares at you fondly while watching you do your own thing

Phoenix

you didn't know what to think of him when you first met the man who said he would be keeping an eye on you, he was friendly to you and could keep a conversation which made you want to lower your guard, until you realized thats probably what the protocol wanted you to do.

phoenix is easy to talk to, he cracks jokes and overall lightens the mood as a whole. You wonder how someone like him ended up at a place like the VP, and how he manages to stay lighthearted despite the line of work he's in.

even with all of the walls that you’ve put up, he still somehow manages to worm his way into your heart. Every action he makes suddenly seems endearing to you, and you find yourself looking forward to hanging out with him

what really cemented and confirmed to yourself that you had fallen for him was a fairly precarious situation that happened on one of your missions together. 

You guys had gotten separated from each other and the rapid spraying of gunfire from every direction was definitely not helping. You did eventually manage to get out by utilizing your abilities but by the time you got to Phoenix, you found him sitting in a pool of his fire trying to heal up but he was fairly beaten up

After you secured the area, you spent the rest of the time you had before you guys were rescued holding his face in your hands and talking to him in a quiet voice, mainly about random things, but you were mostly doing it to make sure he would stay with you.

It scared you to admit it out loud but you genuinely had come to care for the man, and almost losing him made you realize it.

Chamber

the sussy man is your bodyguard?? I mean hey, he’s loaded, both in cash and in weapons

he’s very eloquent in the way that he speaks to you, holding you in high regard, you’re unsure of if it’s because he’s wary of your abilities so that’s the only reason why he’s acting genial with you.

and of course he’s a flirt, he manages to find ways to drop the fanciest pick up lines towards you. It’s not surprise that any person would probably end up falling for him

which is what you did

and you question yourself on whether or not a normal sane person would try to find ways to unfall for him LMAO

But alas you’re stuck battling your conflicting feelings for him

he likes to tease you a lot though, seeing you get all riled up is one of his favorite pastimes /hj

you might find it annoying but while you’re turned away, he can’t seem to hide the way his expression softens as he talks and banters with you

LMAOOO its like getting chased by Barnaby or smthn cuz hes a dog

Dominic would try to calm the dog down first, or to like, chuck a treat in the opposite direction and hope the dog would stop chasing him around and go that way. Not like he's scared, it's just a dog, but he can only run and exert so much energy for so long until his legs start to give way, would probably dash to the clinic and close the door before the dog can reach him, get eddie for help, or poppy.

Ray would happily run along, and treat it as if they're playing a game of tag, she's probs whizzing past Dominic w the dog in tow like "WEEEEEEEEE" while Dominic panics a little in fear that she might trip from running so fast. Would also try to drag her uncle into the game too, the more the merrier!

OMG until your poll as someone doing Office Admin I hadn't thought of it as being like Donna because I'm not a "Temp" but now I see it listed that way in your poll and I've got something in common with her and it's made my day. [even if I'm too shy to say it off anon]

Hell yeah!

I had a few goals with this poll, the primary one being to point out that the vast majority of New Who characters have been some form of working class (I'd say the only real exception is Martha, maybe Clara since she was doing the nanny work as a favor/thank you instead of out of need, though she did later end up a schoolteacher so she stayed in a related field), even if some of that work is white collar.

(The other was to casually point out that one of the most prominent New Who companions was a sex worker, and I am phenomenally happy that nobody's talking shit about it. It's important to recognize, and important to respect, and nobody's making comments about it.)

#Also fun is that the absolute lowest scoring category has been law enforcement #Obviously a lot of people are going for 'eh... this is the closest I guess?' where I can imagine someone whose day job is entertainment #like singing or writing #picking the sex worker thing because that's the closest to entertainment (and Amy in particular went on to be a model and author) #or picking childcare because their other 'job' is stay-at-home parent #at any rate DW gives us a really wide and interesting array of backgrounds for companions and that's so cool! #We've got such a variety of employments to look at! The purple glow of a fire flickered inside a small room. It being the only light source, the shadows moved with it. 6 people stood around a table. One was covered in shadow, and the other 5 were giggling. An object on the table seemed to be the source of the fire-- A cake.

Somebody was talking now. "Mun Ollie, you should blow out the candles!" It was a deeper voice, so it must have been Yvaillan, as he had the deepest voice of all of them.

The obscured figure moved closer and the shadows appeared to follow them. Not once did the fire manage to catch hold of their visage. "I'll do it," they whispered. Bending down, the blog's admin blew softly on the purple flames. The soft breeze from their lips made the fires flicker. All the candles went out, plunging the room into darkness, and setting off more giggling. No one moved to turn on the lights, which didn't bother anybody. The darkness was warm and it was their home after all.

The silence was brown by a single word.

"Three." The voice was smooth and sounded like silk felt--Oleander.

"Two." Somebody continued, a more feminine, dainty sounding voice, this time--Probably our dear Obey Me! Phoenix.

"One." The last person sang their number. Definitely the idol from ES, pen name "Phoenix".

"Happy birthday to us~. Happy birthday to us~. Happy birthday to everybody here~. Happy birthday to us~." A chorus of the six voices sounded out as they sang to each other. April 10th would always be their favourite day. They get to be together again after all.

Jett

If she’s being honest, you actually freaked her out when you first bloodbent your enemies, quickly cutting them down and stopping them in their tracks. Bending them over to your will and forcing them to their feet. Barely flinching when you got hurt and in turn using your blood as weapons, carving them and shaping them as you pleased. There were times when she questioned whether you were human or not.

Of course she loves you, but she would be lying if you didn’t scare the shit out of her sometimes. She makes you promise to refrain from using your ability unless absolutely necessary because she may be young but she’s not dumb enough to not know that hurting yourself over and over again and losing blood because of it is detrimental to your wellbeing.

She specifically asks Brim if she could be paired up with you on missions because she has this fear of you overexerting yourself and just bleeding out. More than once she’s woken up from nightmares of seeing you collapsing to the floor and dying in her arms, but when she wakes up and sees you sleeping peacefully next to her she’s reassured that the two of you at the very least can live in the moment for the time being without being worried about if you’ll die tomorrow.

Phoenix

He brushed off your bloodbending ability until he actually saw it in action and witnessed it with his own eyes. He just stood there, jaw dropped in shock as he watched all of his and well rather, your enemies crumple to the ground in pain, completely immobile

He immediately rushes over, to pull you into a hug, wrapping his arms around you from behind. He presses his face against the back of your neck, and you pause, briefly losing control over your victims adversaries as you take note of Phoenix pressed up against you. 

“Y/N..” you hear him murmur, as he clings to you tightly, refusing to let you go. The poor souls that were being controlled by you take that time to scramble away. 

He doesn’t want you to lose your humanity, luckily for you, he’s there to keep you grounded.

Killjoy

“So tell me again how your abilities work? Fascinating! What Brim? Why are you rubbing your temples like that?” 

Killjoy is no stranger experimenting and trying new things, and she’s all for things like the scientific method, but she shudders whenever she sees you working with your abilities.

She tries to help you with your bloodbending by giving you tech that’ll let you know when your iron levels are low or something like that

She’s not squeamish per say, but she does get uncomfortable when she sees your enemies writhing on the ground, unable to do anything. So in turn, you end up toning it down, after all you’d do anything for her <3

Neon

Like Jett, she’s also scared of you and what you can do, but she doesn’t let it show as obviously. She loves you yes, but she also knows the importance of restraint and not letting yourself get caught up in your radiant abilities. 

She wears suppressors herself,  so she does her best to help keep you in check in case you ever lose control. Her worst fear is literally losing control of her powers and she doesn’t want the same to happen to you if you happen to be overcome by bloodlust. 

She’ll go out of her way to get some vitamins to help you so that you don’t become anemic and she ensures that you eat a good amount of food and drink enough water in the scenario that you don’t put a cap on your ability and just use it recklessly.

Viper

She’s no stranger to bloody and gory stuff, she used to be a doctor. She’s intrigued by your ability and how it functions. Before the two of you got together she would have experimented on you to see the extent of your abilities if she could if it wasn’t for Brim stopping her. 

She gets an odd sense of satisfaction seeing your enemies contort in pain, and turns a blind eye, focusing on defusing the spike instead.

She actually gives you new ideas for what you could craft with your bloodbending

Viper finds it the funniest thing in the world to see you terrorizing the duelists.

this question is for the admin but what games do you play that aren’t Pokémon? What’s your favorite game?

If we're talking Nintendo, I love the Mario Rabbids series, with Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope being my favorite game overall (it was Kingdom Battle but, you know, better sequel). Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright games, and of course the crossover. The usual Smash, Mario Party, Mario Kart, and I did play Metroid Dread when it came out!

If you're talking NOT Nintendo, if it wasn't obvious, God of War Ragnarok is my favorite non Nintendo game. Legit such a beautiful game and the music always makes my heart hurt. Guardians of the Galaxy is amazing too, I also play the Assassin's Creed franchise.

Now for some lesser known games that I highly recommend to people as I absolutely love them. Blacksad: Under the Skin, Chicken Police: Paint it Red, Coffee Talk, and Darq. If people are interested I can go into more detail about why exactly I love them but I don't want this post to go on forever.

Thank you Anon, I've always wanted to talk about some other games I love (though Pokemon still holds a special place in my heart)
