At the very end of ATLA they delve into Azula's psyche a little, but for the most part I don't think she was supposed to be viewed as a victim; she is 14, and to the intended audience of six to ten year olds, a fourteen year old might as well be a thirty year old. That is OLD to a child. ANCIENT. When I was six I thought fifth graders (11 year olds) were extremely grown up, lol.

And children hate the message that "children can do no wrong" anyway; it's a dehumanizing message at that age because it suggests they're not a real person who can make autonomous decisions. Only once you're an adult do you see how much kids are buffeted and shaped by their circumstances. But as a child it's like, "If I can choose not to punch my brother when he teases me, this fictional kid in Goosebumps should be capable of not bullying the protagonist, and since he IS bullying the protagonist, I hope the monster eats him."

Tarzoon shame of the jungle (1975)

The lady working towards taking over the world is bald so she decides to forcefully preform a scalp transplant with Jane, Tarzoon's (also called Shame) sweetheart.

Another adult animation riding off the trail of Fritz but extra horny. The comedy you'll find in this is the novelty of sexual stuff being in a cartoon, reference humour and racist black face, can't forget black face. When references are the best your movie has to offer something went wrong.

More often than not the movie's set in the jungle with these muddy backgrounds that get old really fast. Everything in this gets old fast especially the monsters that were made by crushing babies to make their dicks bigger which I can't say I've seen before but that isn't a good thing.

Yeah I wouldn't watch this, the only thing I got of value from tarzoon was the jab at tintin and other movies like Fritz are more historically important.

They’re definitely the dads pulling up to the soccer games with Disney music blasting out of the speakers and some of the other parents are like, “Damn, that must get old for you guys.”

And Eddie is like, “Are you kidding? This shit rocks! Have you heard the Tarzan soundtrack – you gotta hear the Tarzan soundtrack! It’s unbelievable!”

They’re definitely not turning into Disney fanatics or whatever, but their overall mentality surrounding parenthood is, “Our kids are into this? Great, we’re into it too.”

Even when their daughters are older, Steve and Eddie are meeting other parents of girls like “What do you mean you don’t know which brand of nail polish dries the fastest?”

Like, they are THE girl-dads.

They experience the other side of it when they interact with boy-parents though, because that’s totally foreign territory for them.

I think it would be funny if Lucas (or maybe Dustin but I’ve put less thought into what his family life looks like as an adult) was a boy-dad, and so he and Steve and Eddie are like great, we can all commiserate over the weird shit our children put us through.

Because Lucas says things to them like, “Damn, these fortnite dances are getting real annoying.”

And they’re like “Uh…what are you talking about?” but then when they ask, “How are you handling the psychological warfare?”

Hopefully this quick bust sketch suffices (brush is FAR too rough but it's my favourite lineart brush so I'm not letting it go lol!) I didn't know there was such a big Classic Heavy contingent - I've gotten a few asks regarding him recently! He's a fun design...I sort of imagine him moving in a similar way to the bad guy from Tarzan if he was animated.

Regarding your second question...you're spot on the money re: legalities! I've been unlucky through a lot of my career and worked on shortform or cancelled projects (so...many...) so haven't got too much to show and most of the work I'm most proud of is locked behind NDAs! I've spent the last two years working with Cartoon Saloon on something...I've just wrapped up on an adult primetime project with another company and next year I'll be working with a third studio on a fun TV show for children :) Lots to show in the future!

Spider + recom squad headcanons because @hyperfixatedfandomer got me inspired ✨

Spider constantly cussing out Quaritch and the other recoms and nobody batting an eyelid

Quaritch secretly loving it because even though those are some spicy insults, Spider is obviously comfortable enough in his presence to say them

(Quaritch doesn’t know this is why he enjoys it, to him he’s just confused when a warm glow starts to spread from his chest)

Spider having the time of his imprisonment life because nobody seems to care that he hates them, he can just freely live his truth without being punished

He used to feel like he was walking on eggshells around the Omatikaya (esp Neytiri) because everything he said he could be judged for, but here no one gives a shit, it seems

Weirdly, he also knows that he’s probably a great deal safer with the recom squad than with any old Omatikaya, because these guys will actually try to protect him if any of the wildlife turns foul

Z-dog praising Spider for his creative insults, stating that they’re some of the most inventive ones she’s heard in her two lifetimes. Spider glowing warm because it’s the only praise he’s received from an adult in years

Quaritch watching the other recoms take the piss out of spider for his foul attitude towards them, but his juxtapositional softness and gentleness when it comes to the animals they encounter

Quaritch not joining in because he’s just watching Spider react, always trying to gauge his response

“What the hell is a Tarzan and why do you keep calling me tiger?!”

Quaritch has enough and gets a picture of a tiger up to show him. Spider is unimpressed at first until he realises that tigers look pretty ferocious, and he likes their stripes. From then on, the nickname doesn’t bother him.

The recoms all promise to never enlighten Spider about Tarzan, making him believe it’s a kind of species of Earth animal that died out thousands of years ago. Quaritch doesn’t join in but has to hide his smirk whenever Spider starts frustratedly asking how big tarzans were and if they had stripes or sharp teeth or were predators

Spider being woken up early in the mornings for trekking through the jungle with a furious, albeit sleepy, “fuck off.”

The recoms joking about spider being a baby, or weak, or fragile, but they recognise deep down that the kid is built. Quaritch knows this too and knows they’re only doing it to wind spider up, so he doesn’t stop them

When spider is especially annoyed/homesick/sick of being a prisoner, the recoms are better at noticing it than Quaritch, who at the beginning of their relationship was abrasive and unable to empathise with him

A hand on Quaritch’s shoulder from Wainfleet or Ja or Lopez is all it takes for the recoms to stop Quaritch from going off at the boy after he ransacked the supplies

Spider trying out the recom food from the suction packets and their faces bursting into laughter when spider pulls a disgusted face and starts gagging (a la trying alcohol for the first time)

Spider teaching Quaritch Na’vi at Quaritch’s request, but exchanging phrases like ‘good morning’ to ‘I am a worm’s anus’

Mansk has been checking the translation on his tablet software, and starting grinning when he catches on to what Spider is doing. He gets Z-dog and the others round and they watch with barely concealed laughter as Spider tricks the Colonel (Quaritch never finds out)

I've seen a lot of complaints lately about the lack of romance in recent Disney movies. Do you think Disney's next princess movie should give the heroine a love interest? (not counting Moana 2 because I seriously doubt they'll give Moana a LI in the sequel)

I think it would be nice to see Disney bring back romance.

They've certainly made enough romance-free movies to drive home the point that girls don't need romantic love to be complete. And for many of us, the love stories are some of the best parts of Disney's animated movies of yesteryear.

That said, if they do give the next Princess a love interest, I hope they don't fall back into the same formula of "bickering to friends to lovers" that they kept repeating for a while. Tiana and Naveen, Rapunzel and Flynn, Anna and Kristoff, Judy and Nick if you ship them... while each of those pairings do have unique qualities and appeal, it's still a little bit formulaic. Disney almost seemed to have forgotten that a romance arc doesn't need to be either "bickering to friends to lovers" or old-school Love at First Sight.

As far as I'm concerned, the Disney Renaissance was the golden age of Disney love stories, because each couple had a unique relationship arc and dynamic. Ariel and Eric's gentle, fun-loving teenage romance – closer than the others to old-school Love at First Sight, but handled in a fresh, modern-feeling way. Belle and the Beast's blend of a rom com-style "bickering to friends to lovers" arc with sweeping Gothic Romanticism, which somehow works beautifully despite the difference between those two genres. Aladdin and Jasmine's bonding of kindred spirits and shared longings, and the conflict caused by their class gap and Aladdin's self-doubt. Simba and Nala's bantering childhood friendship that grows into adult love. Pocahontas and John Smith's Romeo and Juliet-style forbidden passion. Quasimodo, Esmeralda and Phoebus's love triangle that ends in happy romance for the latter two and warm friendship that both share with Quasi. Hercules and Meg's arc of "innocent, kind-hearted boy teaches hardened, cynical girl to love again," combined with Meg's redemption arc as she breaks free from Hades. Mulan and Shang's comradeship-in-arms that ends with a hint at future romance. Tarzan and Jane's bonding through exploring each other's worlds and then each having to choose between their own world and the other's.

Each of these love stories is unique and special in its own way. I hope that when Disney finally decides to do romance again, they'll break away from all earlier formulas and make it just as fresh and unique as those past examples.

Original hades had children and I feel this one would have too.

12. Shan Yu

No doubt in my mind that not only did this man have kids but some of them were in the battle of the mountains with him.

13. Claude Frollo

I refuse to believe that anyone willingly had children with this man.

14. Clayton

Tarzan series revealed a woman that had relations with Clayton and it would be on brand for this man to have kids that he dumped in a boarding school and never see again.

15. Yzma

If Yzma did have children, they are fully adults at this point and she clearly has no care them. It’s possible, her prime years are unknown.

16. Dr Facilier

This man seemed like to towns pariah so probably couldn’t have kids even if he did want them.

17. Mother Gothel

No. And before you say it I know about Cas (Tangled series) but I still refuse to believe this narcissistic woman would have a child without some sort of magical benefit.

18. Prince Hans of the Southern Isles

There was a chance he could have had kids but after his take over stunt, he’s outcasted.

I see people being like "trans men/transmascs aren't oppressed, people see them as butch lesbians or tomboys! They get a free pass!" and I KNOW I've said this before but like...

In what fucking WORLD. Do you LIVE. Where being a butch woman or a tomboy is a "free pass"?

I spent most of my life as a cis girl and woman. I spent my ENTIRE childhood as a self-described tomboy.

I also spent my entire childhood being fucking TORMENTED for being too "boyish" to "not like a girl". For the most basic innocent things like, to name a few, liking Pokemon, liking ninjas, for wanting to be fucking JANE from Tarzan because she was apparently not REALLY a princess because she wasn't girly enough (Which, I will admit, in hindsight makes me cackle because holy shit). I was picked on by boys and girls, peers and adults alike. My fellow students would physically and verbally harass me. The adults who express "concern" about me not fitting in with the girls enough and ignore the bullying even when it was directly brought up. Anyone who dared to be my friend, regardless of their gender, was tormented for being friends with "a lesbian" and "a tomboy" and, on a few occasions, "a dyke" (a word I didn't know back then).

And when I hit high school? And I started leaning into femininity, in part because I did like it but undeniably because it was what was expected of me if I wanted to take part in the social activities and dating life that everyone else was? The torment turned fucking sexual. Guys would hit on me in the GROSSEST of ways and tell me I should be glad because, as a dyke, I should want to PROVE that I was straight. Girls tortured me in the locker room and tried, on several occasions, to kick me into the guy's locker room because "that's where lesbians should change". Bear in mind that, at the time, I was 100% cis and I was so far in the closet even I had no fucking idea I was queer.

So forgive me if, when I see these fucking transphobes (because that's what you are, when you talk about trans men and transmascs like this) going off about how "afabs" get a "pass" and we aren't "as oppressed" because "no one has an issue with masculine women" it makes me just a little absolutely fucking livid.
