Why is it so hard to get a first credit card?!
Like I have applied for probably a dozen different ones that all claim to be starter credit cards for students, but every single time I get the response that they can't approve me because I have no credit history. Which is exactly why I'm applying for a $500 credit card that I have no intention of ever using except at places that don't accept cash or debit! Because I NEED to build some form of credit history so that I can do things like be the person with my name on the utilities bill, and hopefully eventually get a house! But I keep being denied for all these starter credit cards that the only qualification questions they asked me are 'are you a full time student' and 'do you pay rent' to which my answer is - and has been for the last 4y tht I've been applying for these - yes to both!

Let me tell you about my mathematical kryptonite.
I understand that more means there's bigger amount things, and less means there's fewer of the thing. I understand that to make something bigger we add stuff using plus +, and to make it smaller we remove with minus -.
All good, I've got this. Example:
Say a coffee costs 12kr
And a bun costs 15kr.
I understand that the bun is more expensive than the coffee. I understand that the coffee is cheaper than the bun.
I understand that the difference between the bun and the coffee is 15-12, which is 3.
I understand that the coffee, that costs 12, costs 3 less than the bun, which means the price of the coffee is 12-3.
I understand that the bun which costs 15 is 3 more expensive than the coffee, meaning it costs 15 + 3.
Easy, right?

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything
#i personally like to not be doing things constantly at all times. it stresses me out#i know there are ppl who thrive on cosntant activity#but me i like to chill out.#and the problem then becomes that i only ACTIVELY remember to do work and Find More Work To Do when im stressed#at the thought that others might want to see me working#if im ever relaxed i just dont look for stuff to do#catch 22 of modern work culture which permeates even ostensibly noncapitalist structures like public libraries#for instance: will it really kill anybody if the books get shelved by me now after a very busy day?#or shelved tomorrow morning by. well probably me since i'll be the one at the desk#not in the slightest#but it was work that wasnt being immediately done by me. therefore it was incorrect behavior#that i failed to identify because my instinct is to relax when not immediately presented with a Situation#this got me labeled as 'having no initiative' by my dad from a very early age#and even as an adult i still feel like im a child with no initiative

Help I took (prescribed) Adderall for the first time and I’m hyper focusing on the wrong things: namely buying Star Wars decor instead of 1) writing my fic 2) cleaning my room and 3) doing accounting for taxes. Fail.
