i’ll most likely add more lore later because i had more fun with the character creation process than i thought i would, but here’s a rough description of my councilblr crew member!

name: aeranas

pronouns (in order of preference): they/them, ae/aer, and he/him

age: 20

race: air genasi

class: sorcerer/bard

general background: before joining the pirate ship to further their travels, aeranas went from town to town on foot by themselves. it isn’t pictured here, but ae is always seen with a long wooden flute strapped to aer back, and played it frequently in village squares to try and scrounge up any amount of money (it usually never worked - human villagers tended to steer clear of their magic). 

before the crew, ae only ever made friends with a triton woman from a random town, and she disappeared before aeranas learned her name or had the chance to say goodbye. they remember her appearance - light blue skin and short, dark blue hair - and her bright and almost overconfident personality, but nothing else of note.

aeranas did and still does frequently write to his father, and has never met his mother.

their duties within the crew are more focused on ship repair, and keeping defenses up with magic (don’t ask me the logistics please. i don’t know). if the ship is ever under attack, they use their flute to channel air magic, acting on the offensive rather than directly engaging in combat. if necessary, ae can also use aer flute as a staff to block certain attacks, but this rarely ever happens.

Aerana is very earnestly convinced that she is destined to rule Tyria. She is the biggest genius of all Asura and thus all the world will serve her. And she does plot and tinker to achieve that goal. Her plans, while both grand and a tad wacky, are sound. Not guaranteed to succeed sound but definitely not destined go fail. She is a mad genius, but the delusions of grandeur only help to spur her perfectly intact intellect. (huh I should use this in her bio) Anyways to the point. When you ask her why she hasn't realised her aspiration she will tell you that, since it is inevitable she will succeed, there is no necessity to rush. The truth is that she is pretty sure that the commander is not bound by the laws of physics OR magic and will foil her plans. Thus she intends to simply outlive the commander and shoot her shot when that threat is no more.

That he doesn't hate Gekk. I mean if he did why did he stay for so long. And how could he hate Gekk that man has done so much for him. He's more father to Lugard than his biological father. So how could he hate him.

Either the common pleasantries he exchanges when working with the other crime bosses (he hates criminals with a passion, why do you think he does all this crime?) or his facade of loving money (he does not care for the money)

Well first of all he doesn't have friends. Second of all his family (aka the gaggle of handraised henchmen) would notice when Gekk would no longer explain in excuciating detail his plans and designs.

He is very proud of his appearance on television and in pictures. Interis is one of his closest buddies. He is overconfident, but he never backs down. He wishes to use all of his power to help others. He is not hesitant, and he has no flaws that others can exploit. He never backs down when it comes to his loved ones.

Appearance: He has a large, nasty, scar on his robotic face (people seem to love it either way). He's a ghost/robot monster.

Aeranas (Pirate Mettaton): If he can, he basks in the spotlight. He might be a little gruff, but he has good intentions and is shy. He enjoys being a celebrity and is overly confident in his abilities. He never backs down and is always prepared to battle. He will fight you to protect his friends and family. He can be quite amusing at times, and he appears to enjoy what he does. On occasion, he cracks jokes and performs magic tricks for children. He is fantastic with youngsters. He is not hesitant, and he does not have any vulnerabilities that others could exploit. When it comes to his loved ones, he never backs down.

Appearance: He has a tiny scar on his right eyelid/eyebrow. He is a ghost/robot monster.

Terberis (Royal Napstablook):They're far too insecure for their own good. Unlike his cousins, they loathe being in the spotlight. They are powerful fighters who will fight you if necessary. They appear to solely collaborate with their cousins. They are both merciful and timid. They despise and are terrified of socializing. They have a lot of self-doubts and continually criticize themselves. They, on the other hand, prefer being affectionate and kind. They are exceedingly insecure and continually question their own judgment. They aren't the finest communicators, but they do everything they can to help with the evacuation.

Appearance: They're a robot/ghost monster.

Noxis (Pirate Napstablook): They are self-assured, but want to be alone. They're snarky and closed off. They are a powerful combatant who will battle you if necessary. They will go to any length to be popular, but they have limitations. Don't get me wrong, they're incredibly aggressive, but they're also very likable. They are a well-known and talented actor and vocalist. They have disagreements with their cousins from time to time, but they always work things out. They are a world-renowned DJ who continues to perform. They pay their relative visits on occasion and try to mend their fractured connection.

Appearance: They have a large scar on their face. They are a ghost/robot monster.

How I feel about this character

so here’s a fun fact for you: when i was changing my url on here from fortheloveofpodcast to what it is currently i couldn’t decide between aeoranaregan and asexualchloe. (the deciding factor was essentially that i couldn’t reliably spell aerana regan, and i wanted the ace stuff in the url) i. love. regan. so. much.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Um, really no one? i kinda see regan as aromantic, because i project. that being said, i do not think that this is the right time for her to be getting in a relationship, even if i didn’t hc her as aro. y’know, this is the second time i’ve done one of these things and i never realized how many characters i project my aroaceness onto. (though i don’t hc regan as ace, like, at all)

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Regan and Jen are awesome. also, just like, regan and pretty much anyone in the party.

My unpopular opinion about this character

i don’t know that regan would actually make a very good queen, considering how much she looks out for only herself. maybe after a few books worth of character development, but right now? ehhhhh.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

i want her to get therapy.
