Here's what I think Grian would look like in Secret Life.

My design break down.

I really liked the thought of him being the "light" and the "taskmaster," so I took that as my main inspiration for his design. With elements of the concept "speak no evil." Credits to a random person for the outline with gold wings idea. Pretty sure they deleted their post.

His staff

On it is his task in a scroll holder. It is held tightly by leather straps.

Nobody but the original person can read their tasks but you're pretty screwed if you lose it so better to keep it safe than be sorry later.

The base is made up of various metals but mostly iron. The bottom has a sphere and is made with gold.

No explanation just ✨aesthetics.✨

The upper half has the life series hearts on top of winding wood that is in the shape of a heart holding an egg that is a replica of the Secret Keeper.

Pretty self explanatory. Though I like to imagine the egg makes the same particles as the Secret Keeper.

It also has a little apple charm dangling from the wood heart.

Got the charm as a gift from a friend because of his apple obsession.

Clothes

Gave him a priest inspired collar.

In my lore he functions similar to a preacher/priest. Spreading the godly nature of the rules and how the Secret Keeper is always watching.

His poncho is a dark charcoal with purple undertones, it's lined with gold and golden wings, on the back the words "speak no evil" are written. He wears a sleeveless shirt with a coat tail under the poncho with the same design.

It's similar to ∴ᔑℸ ̣ ᓵ⍑ᒷ∷ attire in design and colors. The words on his back are a reminder, (plus it's edgy) to the nature of secrets.

Wrapped around his waist is a yellow waist sash pinned with a hardcore heart clip.

Once again it explains itself.

Brown cargo pants with two bags on it.

It's pants. Idk what you want me to say. Not everything is going to be a Shakespeare metaphor.

Black bodysuit that wraps around his feet and ends in gold rings on his middle fingers.

No explanation needed.

Accessories

Two gold rings on his tail.

Grian just thinks it looks cool.

It's to show loyalty to the Secret Keeper.

Broken silver chains on his wrists.

Doves are often associated with freedom, especially in religious texts. Plus don't ᔑリ⊣ᒷꖎ always have white wings?

Lion tail.

In Buddhism lions were frequently pictured with bodhisattvas who guide people to the path of enlightenment. It fits the religious vibes I'm going for.

Bird styled feet and hands.

I just think it's neat. He's an avian after all, well mostly anyways.

a character you love.

like most female characters, she has her haters, especially amongst fans of another female character, and yes, it mostly has to do with a guy and shipping. The amount of slut shaming I would see was ridiculous. I used to hate that other character because of how they treated this character but I realized that fans of the character I love were just as awful, and the true enemy is DC and its writers. i'm not too sure when i starting loving her, it feels like i always have

haha i'm really basic but it is sopa de fideo like there are so many other dishes that i love but sometimes i won't eat if the texture feels weird but with sopa de fideo it's a dish that even i can make so i think that's why i love it so much

my dream home would be on a plot of land where i have room to garden and keep chickens i need dirt i need grass bonus points if there's a bunch of trees

i don't think i really have one? I wear whatever I want no matter the aesthetic. I could be grunge one day and cottagecore the next i can't stick with one thing i like multiple things at the same time. at the end of the day, as long as i'm comfortable, i don't care about my style

i like going outside with my dog and just soaking up the sun if i don't see the sun at least once per day i feel like i'm going crazy so i put out an old sofa outside and spend my time reading

Regrading Taskmaster: S01E04 Down an octave.

Prize Task: Most beautiful item.

Tim's trip to Cologne is beautiful, both because the cathedral is stunning and because they actually ended up taking the trip. Romesh's statute might be the only other thing that is actually aesthetically pleasing (depending on your taste for Roisin's cardigan). I can't do magic eyes, but reports are that Josh lied about his prize task because of course he did.

Tim: 5 (0) Romesh: 4 (+3) Roisin: 3 (+1) Frank: 2 (-1) Josh: 1 (-3)

VT 01: Make this ice block disappear as fast as possible.

A task rife with pedantry because it uses the word "disappear" rather than "melt." This leads to the natural question "disappear from existence or sight?" and in the case of the latter, "whose sight?"

Tim throws the thing in the river which is a similar tactic to what worked for Paul Sinha and Iain Stirling in a Series Eight eraser task. I'm inclined to defer to the studio scores because even if we take Tim's definition of disappear, it would have been more elegant to actually conceal the ice from Alex rather than chucking it in the river.

Josh: 5 Frank: 4 Roisin: 3 Romesh: 2 Tim: 1

VT 02: Get to 11 points as fast as possible.

The debut of team tasks and the start of inconsistent scoring. The team points were originally meant to be a split of five. Greg never does this, much to Alex's chagrin. Both teams achieve the task and Frank/Tim solve the puzzle. It's all about time though, so a 3-2 split in favor of the team of three feels right.

Roisin, Romesh, and Josh: 3 (+1) Frank and Tim: 2 (+1)

VT 03: Fill an egg cup with as many tears as possible.

There is an argument that Roisin and Tim should get zero points for not getting any tears into the cup. However, within the four corners of the task, that might just have been the most tears possible for them and they should actually get 2 points for coming in joint fourth.

Frank: 5 (0) Romesh: 4 (0) Josh: 3 (0) Roisin: 2 (+1) Tim: 2 (+1)

Solo Task: Count the beans/rings/grains of rice.

Josh did this one by himself and it infamously won him the series. Solo tasks are inherently unfair but Taskmaster is never about being fair. That said, Josh's efforts were never actually evaluated for accuracy, so no points.

Josh: 0 (-1)

Live Task: Memorize the names of an Australian rules football team.

Everybody got one so everyone was awarded one point. It's purely academic, but because everyone came in joint first, everyone should have received five.

Frank: 5 (+4) Josh: 5 (+4) Roisin: 5 (+4) Romesh: 5 (+4) Tim: 5 (+4)

Final

Frank: 18 (+4) Josh: 17 (+1) Roisin: 16 (+7) Romesh: 18 (+8) Tim: 15 (+6)

Josh originally won the episode largely because he lied about his prize task. I have Frank and Romesh tied with the break going Frank's way for finding Alex faster.
