women's sports is one of the loudest and most successful anti-patriarchy campaigns in human history. what women's sports did and does is prove, over and over again, the excellence, the raw power and strength of the human woman. it completely disrupts ideas on gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you have big, powerful women in rugby. fast, endurable women runners. impeccably strong gymnasts. women with strong, large bodies that take up space. that are HEALTHY. they are not RESTRICTED or ladylike. they are free of the stillness/deadness that femininity demands. no corsets. no (aesthetic) thinness. no hourglass bodies for gawking. women's sports screams to society "we are fully human, not objects, not small men. we are not domestic dolls. we are hunters and foragers. fighters."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
why do you think men are so vitriolic about it? why don't they want women in football? why don't they want it televized? why do they keep harassing female basketball players? why do they insist on dressing women in sexualized uniforms? why do they now make it taboo to exculde men from women's sports?
i firmly believe it's because women's sports tears patriarchal gender ideology apart so effortlessly. it completely spits in the face of patriarchal political propaganda and shows how null it is. it forces all of us to view women as full, as the beginning of human excellence, as central to human history. not as decorative sexual objects, no matter how men want us to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that's why there's so much aggression and derision when it comes to women's sports from men. because women's sports destroys the idea of femininity and depicts women as non-derivative. women must be monsters and cannot afford to play into the childlikeness that femininity demands. the arena of sports forces us to focus on women's physical performance rather than appearance. their strength rather than how attractive they are. their skill and strategy. their humanity. it is a form of entertainment where all female roles are agentive and active rather than passive.
Tumblr media
women's sports events are also hotbeds for female and lgb solidarity like you have no idea!
y'all need to start watching women's sports. not only because it is exciting, but it deprograms the patriarchal bullshit out of you so fast. you realize how much is possible. how much we can all achieve right now.

Chloe and Lola had been looking for a cheap place to stay after college graduation, and they happened to come across a post advertising a small home for rent. It was all they could afford at the time, but it wasn’t the worst-looking place. With a little decorating, they thought it might even be cute. The catch: it came with two roommates. They decided to move in anyway. What could go wrong?
Apparently, everything. On the first day, their new roommate Kristen invited over a group of obnoxious, sweaty sports junkies to watch the loudest football game Lola had ever heard. Meanwhile, their other roommate Erin sat Chloe down for a heart-to-heart, claiming the vulgar lyrics coming from Chloe’s radio were throwing off the peaceful energy she needed for her spiritual work. Chloe did not take kindly to this, and spat back some vulgar words Erin had never even heard before. From then on, the four women couldn’t stand each other.
And yet, Lola did find herself missing them now.

so high school
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ in which you run into your high-school sweetheart, darrel curtis.
( a/n : this isn’t my best work but not every piece has to be my fave! hope u cuties enjoy nonetheless, sorry i have no idea how to write darry )
Tumblr media
his brown eyes met yours from across the classroom for the first time since grade 12.
your heart sank. you thought darry would’ve left by now, started his career as a successful football player or something even better, but he was standing in your classroom, still in tulsa.
your entire teenage years flash before your eyes — running on the field to kiss the quarterback, playing kiss marry kill, driving to parties, meeting his family. he looked the same.
darry’s eyes widen as he sees you. he elbows ponyboy. “you did not tell me that y/n l/n was your geography teacher.” he whispers.
“you’d of freaked if i had told you, man,” ponyboy whispers back.
tonight was parent-teacher interviews. one of your best students was ponyboy curtis, little brother of your high-school sweetheart. they were greasers, and you were a soc, but that never stopped you from going over to their house everyday, back when you were bittersweet 16.
“darry curtis,” you say softly, smiling gently. “long time no see.”
he avoids your gaze, his cheeks glowing pink. “yeah, nice to see you, y/n.”
“feel free to take a seat,” you offer, and they sit in front of your desk.
you begin talking about ponyboy — his incredible grades, your insistence on him participating more, assuring darry that ponyboy has a high chance of getting into a good post-secondary school.
you look at darry again. you have to address the elephant in the room — it would be weird not to. “this is weird, isn’t it?” you ask, voice soft. “i mean, we met in this school, and now i’m teaching your younger brother.”
“yeah, i guess so,” he agrees. “i honestly thought you would’ve left this dump by now, you always talked about wanting to move to new york city or toronto or somethin’.”
“yeah, plans changed.” you shrug. “i thought you would’ve moved by now, too.”
“plans changed,” he repeats, quoting you. you smile at him.
“what have you been up to since high school?” you ask him. “still play football?”
“i roof houses.” he answers. “but yeah, sometimes i fool around with football. not as much, though.”
“you were good,” you compliment.
“thanks,” he answers. he is never this awkward, what is happening? “you still into reading and history and stuff?”
“yeah,” you answer. “i mean, ponyboy can tell you, i never shut up about it when i’m teaching. always got a new book to talk about.”
and there we go. the conversation is back to ponyboy. “oh, that’s nice. pony only talks good about you. just never pieced together that it was you.”
“yeah, well, guess you thought i would’ve been gone by now.”
“guess so,” he agrees. “glad you’re not.”
you smile at him.
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
the following weeks, you’d notice ponyboy talking to you a bit more whenever he could in class, talking to you about darry. and when you walked into the DX, sodapop asked if you were “darry’s chick,” and you had no idea how to respond.
flowers started blooming at the local park in your neighbourhood, so you decided to take a walk and pick some to decorate your classroom and decorate them for spring.
everything reminded you of him — you walked past a small punch of pink tulips. he got you tulips for your grade 11 semi-formal. he got them for a discount at the gas station, it was all he could afford. they were beautiful.
while you were walking, you spotted a gang of greasers. darry was with them, he was the tallest and stuck out like a sore thumb among the pink and yellow flowers and blossoming trees.
sodapop and ponyboy spotted you instantly, catching your eye and then telling the rest of the gang that you were here. they all excitedly started pressuring darry to go talk to you. you overheard the giggles and you couldn’t help but smile to yourself.
darry walked up to you after a few moments of resistance. you looked stunning — your hair gently waving in the warm breeze, a handful of wildflowers in your grasp. and you were smiling at him!
“hi darry,” you greet. he starts walking beside you, leaving his friends behind.
“hey, y/n,” he says. his voice is deeper than it was when you knew him. “it was real nice seein’ you at ponyboy’s parent-teacher thing.”
you agree, and then he speaks again. “i just, uh, wanted to talk to you about something.”
“what about?” you ask with a tilt of your head.
“okay, so i know we dated back in high school and stuff,” he starts. “it was real fun. we had some good times.”
“yeah, we did.” you agree.
“do you want to try again?” he asks you. his muscular body and his intimidating looks would be nothing if you heard how he was speaking now. it felt wholesome, shy, like how he asked you out in high school.
you take a second to think. you remember how you felt when he took another girl to prom 3 weeks after you broke up, you remember how that hurt you and how you wanted to kill him. but you remember watching shows with him on saturday nights, you remember kissing in the backseat, you remember his mom, mrs. curtis, kissing you on the cheek the first time you met her. you remember cheering when he got a touchdown, you remember him kissing tears off your face when he got hurt in a rumble. you remember the good and the bad. and when you look back up at him, you feel so high school.
“yeah,” you say softly. “i would love that, darry.”

I know these are so many questions, hope you don’t mind. I love Emmy 🩷
7,11,17,37,44,49,52,56,59,65
7 How would they react to a theme park? Do they like rollercoasters? The games? The food? The other rides? She LOVES them. So so much. No so much rollercoasters or fast rides, maybe the smallest one and while Dan is holding her hand. But she loves all the rest. Her times at Disney with Dan and his family or even with Charlie, Dan and Blake are some of her happiest days.
11 Do they play any sports? If so, which ones? How do they feel about sports in general? Do they like to watch any? She’s the least sporty human being ever. She likes football, she’s a Liverpool fan, but then that’s it. She got stuck into F1 because of her boys but she had no idea about it before she met Blake.
17 How do they feel about Halloween and how do they celebrate it? She always thought it was fun, especially the decorations, but she never really celebrated it until Dan. Its really fun to do customs and stuff with him around, so she ended up loving it. It just got even better when they had kids.
37 How do they feel about the rain? What do they do when it’s raining? She loves the rain. There’s something about the smell when it rains that gives her peace. The sound also makes her sleep better. The one time she hates rain is when Dan has to race in the rain. If she normally gets nervous in dry races it’s just way worse in rainy ones. Also rainy days at home with Dan are everything to her. Its cuddles under a blanket while watching a movie or just having some slow sex or talking. She loves the sun, but the rain is one of the thing she misses the most while living in Perth.
44 What’s their favorite possession of theirs and why? Its the first pair of Vans Dan got her. They were just seeing each other, Em randomly mentioned she needed to go buy new shoes because hers were falling apart. Before she could go to Primark Dan showed up with a brand new pair of purple Vans that Em’s bank account couldn’t really afford. For Dan it was really no big deal, but for her it meant everything. After that its the Captain Croc plushie Dan got her. Then her collection of helmets.
49 How clingy are they? What do they act like? When she’s in public she’s the most normal human being, but give her an empty room with Dan for two seconds and she’s the clingiest human being ever existed. Hanging from his neck is probably one of her favourite things in the world, right after having his arms all around her.
52 On an average day, what can be found in their pockets? Girl pockets are Too Small so its just her phone. But she has everything in her bag, there’s always her wallet, her laptop, earplugs, her Beats, some stuff to fix her makeup if needed, snacks for Dan, some of her pills, London the bear, and her paddock pass and her passport.
56 What are some pet names they would use for their significant other? How do they feel about pet names in general? She went from no pet names to so many its irrational and she loves it. It makes her happy. And her go to names with Dan are Baby and Love.
59 How do they feel about cuddling/snuggling? She’s the cuddles queen. She loves it. She would never say no to a five minutes snuggle with her boy. It brings her happiness and makes her feel safe.
65 What are their thoughts/relationship with death? She’s terrified. The only deaths she really had to face was a family members when she was too young to really remember. But then she has to somehow face it every weekend. The man she loves races F1 cars, she faces losing the love of her life literally half of the weekends every year, so it terrifies her. She tries to not think about it much, but its one of her biggest nightmares. More than once Dan has had to wake her up from her sleep because of her nightmares. With time the most scary part it’s something suddenly happening to her or her babies. Because if it does she won’t know, but what would happen to her family? She’s a protector and if she’s not around who will protect her babies if she can’t do it? Who’s gonna protect Dan? And if something happens to her family who is she gonna be able to keep going?

🎄 A quick little thing for the steddie holiday drabbles and steddimas Christmas / Christmas traditions
Tumblr media
🎅 just some christmas traditions with the boys. the ending wasn't known to me at any point, I swear, but I love it.
🎁 content/trigger warnings: less than great christmases, poor family dynamics, family struggles
🎄 word count: 1838
Tumblr media
Christmas was such a weird time of year. In truth, Eddie wasn’t a fan. Magical things like the elves being behind on presents, and not expecting Eddie to earn anything other than coal, so they had to take things back to the North Pole to make them work properly turned out to be the police taking back stolen goods. Al told him, at the ripe age of six, that Santa was a con. He didn’t exist and it was better for everyone if Eddie knew that.
It wasn’t better for all the kids Eddie told once they returned to school. Unknowingly, Eddie ruined a lot of Christmases. Al Munson was who ruined them, really, but it took Eddie a long, long time to realize that. To realize that man had ruined more than major holidays.
Wayne tried to repair the magic but in the years Eddie would have been gullible enough to buy in, he was too enamored with his father to think he’d do anything wrong. Never mind whatever he’d do to have Eddie with Wayne, that didn’t count. Year after year.
The other problem is that Christmas is for the rich. The Munsons couldn’t afford all that extra electricity to light their homes. Inside or out. A big bushy tree? Only that one year Eddie chopped it down himself. Al was proud but Wayne talked a lot about permits and private land. It was the first Christmas season the cops came for Eddie.
Worse than all the decorations, the family vacations, and the meals were the presents. Stealing them was the only way the Munsons could afford a Christmas like on TV. Other than that it was a knockoff GI Joe from the food basket because what else does one get “boy: aged seven”? It was a bit better than the football, at least.
New bikes and big old hams were for people with money and Eddie learned quicker than anything else, that did not include him. Still, he had friends who were in the same boat. They got together and made fun of the food that didn’t even have a brand and Barbie-like dolls with crooked eyes. They shared the pain of being too old to get toys, like hitting the teenage years meant one stopped liking things.
More importantly, bonding over the donated goods was Eddie’s first taste of “family is what you make it”. They may not spend the holiday itself together but why would a day on the calendar dictate a magical gathering?
By high school, it was cool not to care. Eddie cared passionately about so many things but glad tidings and stockings hung with care weren’t on the list. His home life was more stable though not entirely conventional. Still, it provided its own little attempts at tradition and Eddie kind of liked filling a stocking for Wayne to see when he came home from work.
Now he’d fight demons from another dimension. Santa Claus and a few reindeer almost felt believable again but more important than ever before. Wayne said it was that new lease on life and that he felt similar when he came back from the service. The first year, he said, he wanted nothing to do with holidays but the next five years had him pulling out all the stops.
Eddie skipped over the year of wanting nothing. He wanted to host the biggest Christmas gathering Hawkins had ever seen. All of November was spent trying to master cookie baking, something he managed to get worse at. Wayne put a stop to it when Eddie burnt through a cookie sheet.
Only December said the work was for naught. The Byers had plans as a whole blended family. The Wheelers were the picture of Suburban Happiness. The Sinclairs were actually a happy family, shopping for another town to live in. The Corroded Coffin boys had all moved away slowly after the town cracked and fell into the pits of hell, each gone before Eddie checked out of the hospital. It was smart and beyond their control. They all sent each other Christmas cards but it wasn’t quite what Eddie was looking for.
He now had money for the biggest, bushiest tree and everything to hang on it. Dinner could be purchased if not cooked. Gifts? He still bought them for everyone. Perhaps his first and last Christmas with these guys, he didn’t know, but it wasn’t going to stop Eddie.
Gifts were easy, Eddie could buy or make something for everyone. Almost everyone. In all his thoughts and fuss about the holiday, Eddie had glossed over Steve. To a lesser extent, Robin as well, and they were their own weird family but not lumped in with others. It was easy to think about The Wheelers because Eddie hung out with Mike. Not easy to think about Steve, a guy he only seemed to spend time with in big gatherings.
Not through Eddie’s doing either. He’d survived the Upside Down with a newfound respect for Steve and what he thought would be someone gunning for best friendship. Or maybe more but Eddie blamed that fantasy on the drugs they gave him at the hospital.
So Eddie showed up a few days before the actual holiday, generic gift in hand and ready to spread holiday cheer. Steve was shocked but immediately apologetic that he didn’t have a gift in return. Obviously, that wasn’t the point of the holiday but it stung the slightest bit. If Eddie had any clue what to get Steve beyond snacks and liquor, it’d have stung more.
They chatted on the porch for a while. Steve’s parents were home and not into entertaining company, Eddie understood. When he asked what Steve’s plans were for Christmas, he learned there weren’t any. Steve’s parents would go through the expected Christmas morning stuff but they were so burnt out from all the other holiday obligations that the rest of the day was spent separately. Something Steve said was a lot more fun when he was a kid. Hidden away in his room with mounds of new toys.
These days gifts were socks, t-shirts, and things he needed, things he wanted, but couldn’t play with. Occasionally he’d get a book or a movie but after the family breakfast, it became another day.
With Eddie’s changed outlook, that wouldn’t do. So, he did the only thing he could think of and invited Steve over. Wayne was going to work because no one was turning down time and a half, so Eddie would be all alone. They could watch movies, play cards, and eat the dozens of candy canes Eddie acquired throughout the month. An offer Steve wasn’t jumping at but Eddie wore him down and he agreed.
And when the time came, Steve showed up. Bags of chips and homemade cookies in hand. So, Eddie lived up to his promise. They watched cheesy Christmas movies and fought over whether Gremlins should be included in that. They ate way too much junk food and Eddie beat Steve at poker so many times he wished they were playing with money. The night ended with them passed out on the couch, woken up by Wayne returning from work.
Maybe not the most textbook of Christmases but it was about that jolly spirit and having a good time with others, right? Surely there was some good quote in that Muppets movie to apply here. Eddie didn’t care about caroling or eggnog or tinsel on the tree.
For a while, it brought him and Steve closer but they quickly fell back to the buffer of all their other friends. Eddie squashed that old crush and made peace with being acquaintances. Until December rolled around again. This time Eddie went over without a gift and invited Steve over. Nothing had changed in Eddie’s life and it didn’t look like anything had in Steve’s so why not hang out and not spend the holiday alone?
Steve agreed. No puppy eyes, no annoying pleading, just immediate acceptance. So they watched their movies, ate their junk food, and played fun little games. Wayne woke them up and this time he brought breakfast.
The next year, Steve asked “are we getting together?” and Eddie felt a warmth in his chest he’d never known. It was almost enough to make him cry, something he really didn’t understand, but he nodded and promised to rent some new movies this year.
It also brought them a little closer. The organic push they needed. Saving the world together was too high pressure, too overdone in Steve’s life. Eddie earned friendship through perseverance and bad jokes. They started hanging out without their common friends and Eddie found out he liked being around Steve. A lot.
So when another December showed up they didn’t even need to ask. Steve just showed up. Wayne left them a bottle of whiskey and two blankets a coworker crocheted. They watched the same old classic movies and played board games. Steve still brought fresh baked cookies and things felt like Christmas.
Snow started to fall and they paused things to go out and enjoy the peace and stillness in red and green. There’s a special way the world quiets down when it snows, even with all the family dinners and arguments. In that snow, Steve kissed Eddie for the first time. Leaving Eddie to wonder if Santa was really out there, reading his letters.
They fell asleep cuddled together for the first with an alarm set to wake up and make breakfast for Wayne. Eggs, bacon, toast, fresh squeezed juice, the works. The last pieces of the holiday had clicked into place.
By the next one, Eddie and Steve were living together. They had their own apartment, their own little lives they were cultivating, and they still went over to Wayne’s to watch movies and play games. He left them whiskey and blankets and they made him breakfast.
For years this went on. Unconventional but their own, this was what said Christmas to Eddie. Even with the tree set up in their apartment and the Christmas Eve Eve dinner with the other couples in their friend group, Eddie looked forward to cards, to board games, and the same VHS.
The same year Eddie and Steve’s family grew was the last one Wayne was going to work. He’d be retired by next Christmas. Which they all celebrated by going above and beyond. Everyone did a little extra to pretend they didn’t know how things would continue.
And things morphed, as they did when a couple turned into parents. Nowadays, the kids go over to Grandpa Wayne’s where they watch silly cartoons, play games, and eat too many cookies. Eddie and Steve drink and spread magic around their home. To keep with tradition, Wayne brings the kids back home Christmas morning to wake up a passed out Eddie and Steve. Only now it’s not the whiskey that does them in, it’s building dollhouses and bikes. They wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ok I'm dead curious and I'm a thirsty nerd, please don't spare me of details. How much did you really research for Hard Times and how much did you made up? Anything from experience? Any surprises while looking up? SHOW US THE RING!!
Also, I just wanna add to the amazing and very true points Suga made the latest chapter, if you don't mind me using the spotlight: Always make sure to purchase from actual locals while travelling. My country has a huge touristic income and, just to use as an example, big events like the football world cup thay happened a few years ago should have injected a stupid amount of money in our local economies because the amount of tourists was really hitting record numbers. Only it didn't, not even one bit. Because all foreign very expensive and very valuable currency was being spent inside hotels and on international touristic companies, not even bothering to buy a snack from actual locals. This kind of exploratory business happens specially at in development places, because the local business are not considered enough to bring international costumers to (or they just can't afford to agree with the tourism companies conditions).
Good points Mel! Tourists should definitely try to support the locals over any international corporations! If you can't afford to pay the slightly higher price for local goods and food then you can't afford to vacation in those countries 🤷‍♂️
As for your research question, i do lots of research on all of my stories. It's one of the ways I acquire new interests, actually. Like for Drop in the Ocean (idk if you read it, it's daisuga + sharks) I acquired an interest and love for fish because of all the research I did for that fic. I watched hours of fish and aquarium videos on youtube and looked up fun facts and what not so that I could accurately depict a Suga who was absolutely in love with aquatic creatures. Now i love fish so much I want to get a big huge fish tank and fill it with the little bastards. if i ever want to get really into something, all i gotta do is make it an interest for one of my characters and bam, i’m a fish person now
For Hard Times specifically, I did lots of research on cruises, since I've never been on one before. I also looked up a lot about Ocho Rios and its attractions, even though I didn't wind up using much of it. I have aphantasia (the inability to visualize) and therefore need lots of visual references, so I looked up penthouse apartments and fancy cruise ship suite layouts/blueprints as well as interior decor and clothes and yada yada
I scrolled through pages and pages of Rolex watches until deciding which one Suga stole from Daichi. This is it btw (blurry pic because it’s from my old phone and has journeyed through discord and what not shhh):
Tumblr media
And here's the ring I had in mind for the most recent chapter:
Tumblr media
I honestly don't like making things up when it's based on a real thing, you know? Like if i'm trying to make a character seem well versed about italy, i'm gonsta read several wikipedia pages, you can count on that. I might not use nearly 90% of whatever i research but hey, at least i will know which countries eat horse and which ones don't in case such a thing happens to come up in casual conversation.
as for the catholic stuff... uhhhh that’s based on my own experiences. not ALL of it, ofc. I didn’t go to a fancy catholic school, but i was raised catholic. Suga’s story about keeping the priest at that convention for so long is partially true. not the neck exercises/stain on vestments part. but i did go to a catholic convention thing (Steubenville Youth Conference) in Washington state when I was a teenager and it was very weird but very amusing. and i was required to go to confession in these little tented off cubes inside this big event center and my confession took like triple the amount of time as everyone else’s because i am a silly goofy little scamp who loves to lie and just made stuff up until the priest was finally like “alright, next”. he was a nice guy though. he was very enthusiastic about giving me advice for all my confessions which was mainly why i was in there for so long. and then when i came out, the person I had been hanging out with the whole conference was like “you were in there for so long hOW MANY SINS DO YOU HAVE?” and honestly, good question because i stopped believing in god when i was like 7 and never told a priest a single truth in my life so babey we are still counting!
the research part of writing a story is honestly really fun for me. I like filling my little notes app with things i might want to incorporate somehow because it’s interesting or could potentially fit really well with the themes and what not. i’m well aware that my world experience is pretty limited. i don’t want my characters to exist only in those limitations though. thinking of a new mental disorder or cultural background to give my characters is SO FUN and EXCITING and i can’t help but dive right into all the possibilities.
but uhhh yeah the end thanks for the question babe 🖤

In the market of Melbourne, owners can purchase lanscaping stones in addition to turf from these trusted suppliers with quality assurance, reliable customer service, and a guarantee of the specified variety.
Renowned building material suppliers provide a wide range of landscaping stones such as 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm river pebbles; 40mm to 120 mm Tuskan rock, Granite Zebra basalt from 40mm to 100mm, 50mm decorative white ice rock, and more.

These suppliers provide a variety of landscaping materials including turf, and stand out from the competition by prioritizing customer satisfaction and delivering on promises.
Five Essential Tips That Can Help People Find a Trusted Turf Supplier:
Reputable turf suppliers prioritize the quality of their products.
Owners should look for suppliers who source their turf from certified manufacturers that ensure clients can have good-quality artificial grass, in a wide variety.
They should check for reviews and testimonials of these manufacturers from previous customers to gauge the quality of the turf provided.
People can improve the overall aesthetics of a property when they purchase a variety of designs and patterns from trusted turf suppliers. They can have turf for cricket, football, tennis, golf, hopscotch, and other game patterns to suit the landscaping preferences and make the space functional.
While considering the cost, it is important to strike a balance between quality and affordability. Trusted turf suppliers provide transparent pricing, that includes any additional expenses for shipping or installation.
Buy top-quality artificial turf from renowned suppliers who source their products from trusted manufacturers that produce anti-allergenic, safe, and pet-friendly turf.
In addition to the mentioned tips, it is also a key reason to install artificial turf from trusted turf suppliers that offer a range of designs and patterns and cater to various budgets without compromising on aesthetics. This ensures that buyers can have a beautiful lawn without overspending.
Note: Avoid providers who offer drastically cheaper pricing without providing reasonable justification, as this may signal a reduction in turf quality.
Finally, when anyone follows these five tips, property and business owners can confidently choose a trusted supplier nearby. These suppliers can ensure that their lawn not only meets their expectations but also thrives in the local climate.

Stimming!
Well lots of updates!
Alright here's the updates
10/18 - Appointment
Bloodwork and Ultrasound was done- I had 8 follicles on one side and 10 on the other - Cleared to start stim meds and the order was put in. I was really nervous about how much they were going to be. The estimate was $4k-$6k. I researched my insurance and found that all but 1 med wouldn't be covered. Of course, it's the most expensive one. Speaking of expensive - I had to drop $3700 for that visit. Later that evening I talked to the 2 pharmacies, The one medication that wasn't covered was $760 and the rest with insurance, I payed $44. So definitely a lot better than what was quoted. Meds were ordered and on the way! This was the last day also for the 1989 TS Special Edition CDs. I had previously ordered just the yellow, and I really shouldn't have spent the money, but how could I not have the whole set for my hopefully new daughter.
10/21 - Stims and Payment
So today was exciting. I had to make the $12,800 payment. I also started my stim meds - 2 injections. Guess what?! I MESSED UP one of them. I mixed the med wrong - and injected myself with 1000iu of Hcg instead of 100iu of Hcg. I was too scared to let my nurse know. I cried at night and just decided to not take anymore until my appointment on 10/24. High dosage of Hcg will trigger ovulation, but I'm only at the beginning and don't have (hopefully) any mature eggs.
10/22 - Football Taylor's Version
Football Sunday! Felt tired already from the hormones and headache from hell. BUT it was so nice to see Taylor Swift enjoying herself at the Chiefs game. She looks so happy and it made my day. Today was just a easy going day. Meds are kind of affecting me. I also really really really want to buy some 1989 Merch - but really can't afford it :(
10/23 - Bleh
This evening after my shot, I feel bloated like my insides hurt. Could just be that I was working in the yard a little bit getting the Halloween decorations. They say no lifting over 10lbs or twisting or bending over because your ovaries are growing and you don't want to twist one. Now of course, I feel pain/soreness and I'm worried I did something bad... ughhhh
Tomorrow is the appointment to check. I'm hoping and praying that my mistake on Saturday didn't hurt me. I'm also scared of taking more Hcg tonight. We'll see tomorrow what happens. Oh and tomorrow is another $1500 payment - UGH need another job to work on top of my other one. My stadium job will have to be put on pause because I don't think I can stand for that long at these events right now. Well that's all for now. I doubt anyone will ever read these. BUT I have no Swiftie friends in real life. Hardly any friends at all lol. I haven't told anyone about this IVF process either, so it's my outline. Signing off with -
3 More Sleeps Till 1989 Taylor's Version !!!!!!

Re: Damallsvenskan. The Swedish players are surely inspired by American players and Spanish players. They know what they deserve and how it should be.
That doesn’t change reality though. Damallsvenskan teams don’t make enough money. Hardly any at all. The players can’t demand money that’s not there. Imo they should just drop all demands of being fully paid when injured or pregnant. That’s like focusing on buying decorations for your home, but you can’t afford rent.
You have to start with the basics. There is already protection for these things in Sweden, provided by the state. If someone is sick for a year and can’t work, it’s the state that pays you, not your employer. They won’t get their full salary but they’ll get by. They can also pay for private ensurance which will allow them to get more than the max amount paid by the state, if they make enough money. Which I don’t think most players in Damallsvenskan do.
Swedish men’s teams aren’t as inclined as teams out in Europe to invest in a women’s team that pays good salaries, for years, before it starts making a profit. And they also can’t the same way Chelsea or Barcelona can. Their budget is maybe 1 % of those teams. So the cost for a women’s team that doesn’t make profit is much greater as a share of their budget for a Swedish team compared to one from a top men’s league.
As I see it there are three options.
Make Damallsvenskan semi professional or amateur, and accept that it will lead to lots of good players leaving.
SvFF (the Swedish federation) has to step in and take responsibility for the league, at least for some years. Let the money the women’s national team brings in be invested in the women’s league. Not just put it towards youth national teams. If Sweden is going to stay at the top in international women’s football, talented young players need a league to play in. So it is in SvFF’s interest. Lots of other countries have done this, so there is precedent and examples.
The EFD is not good enough. They aren’t growing the game. They aren’t making enough of an effort to reach new potential fan groups. They, and clubs, have to do much, much more to get people to games. They are hardly doing anything. We can’t hide behind all sorts of excuses. 5000 people per game on average should not be an impossible goal. There are men’s teams in Allsvenskan that get by on those types of numbers. With the exception of very tiny towns. But then even somewhere like Vittsjö isn’t that far away from a bigger city. They should do what Piteå is doing and go play in close by cities.
Preferably there should be a combination of options 2 and 3.
yea if you could make a combination of the second and third options then probably for the best. 'cause yeah the reality is if Sweden wanted to continue punching above their weight on the international stage they need a sustainable League to continue so it should definitely be in the fas interest
