“My jacket is from Depop, pants from Revice Denim, and Demonia brand shoes. I’m vegan so I try to shop as sustainably as possible but still stylish. I thrift almost everything and I love being that through that I am able to find unique pieces. If I could label my “vibe”, I’d describe myself as a y2k prince/ss.”

Afghan Coat
Tina Aumont had two or three different afghan coats, today we have a look at this one, the orange/golden one she was wearing while filming "Home Movie" (Frédéric Pardo, 1968), she was wearing too in L'Urlo (Tinto Brass, 1968) and she was seen in February 1972 wearing it while in Rome.
Although the colours might change for the light, my guessing is that is the same afghan coat in the three occasions...

this may be controversial but ENOUGH with atemporal settings in theatre especially ancient theatre…get medea in a historically accurate bronze age σκηνή or get OUT. i’m putting lysistrata in woodstock in 1969 and there’s nothing you can do about it. cowards. set antigone in occupied 1940s france! set hecuba in scotland during the jacobite risings! set the bacchae in the hamptons during prohibition! it’s so much more fun to have a TIME and a PLACE to play with if i see another greige set i will lose my mind. this is especially criminal for electra…she can go anywhere…

anyway a good way to stop yourself from buying new stuff is to utilize your local tailor and dry cleaners more. I’ve been going to my darling tailor for 4 years now and everytime she fixes my clothes, it feels like I bought something brand new. Whenever I get my jackets or other clothing items dry cleaned, it feels like I bought something brand new!! Going to pick up your clothes from the tailor or dry cleaners is similar to anticipating a new package in the mail. To me at least. Supporting small family owned businesses that charge reasonable prices is also just better than buying new stuff all the time.

When did you know Stellina’s coat was done coming in? Our girl is 16 months and is still mostly a pompom. Her dad was a sable face white and she comes from extra fluffy lines so I know she’s always going to be a bit of a marshmallow, but it feels like it’s just been all longer undercoat that’s come in.
First of all - your dog is adorable and I love her
From every collie breeder I've talked to, the general consensus is that the coat is mostly "finished" at around 2 years old. Some dogs may continue to experience color changes over the years (sables darken, some tris lighten) but volume-wise what you see at 2 years old is probably as much bulk as you're going to get.
Here's comparison photos of Stellina - you can see there's a huge coat change from 1 - 2 years old, but from 2 - 3 it's about the same.
other factors that might influence coat include:
-hormones - intact females will drop a ton of coat a few months after each heat cycle. stellina looked downright naked after hers. spayed females obviously don't go through these hormonal fluctuations, so they don't lose coat like this (there's still seasonal shedding but its not as drastic as the hormonal-driven). additionally, spayed females (and neutered males) can sometimes get what's called "spay coat," which is when they grow in fur that's often very light and fluffy like undercoat, but excessively, often around the legs and belly. stellina has a very small amount around her elbows and knees, but some dogs can get a lot of it, and there's not really a way to predict or prevent it. @as-old-roads audrey seems like she has a lot of spay coat, which adds volume and is harder to groom. not a huge deal, just a possibility.
-lines - if your dog comes from fluffy lines and has fluffy parents, she'll probably be about that fluffy. this is especially prominent with collies from UK and eastern european (russian, polish, etc) lines, as those dogs tend to have extremely heavy coats.
-white dogs will have coats that are a bit softer/poofier than the other colors - it's a texture difference in the hairs. there's a marked difference in the feel of stellina's white hair vs the sable hair.
-males tend to be heavier coated than females, so you've got that going for you at least
so yeah, your dog should have her full adult coat by the time she's 2, although if she's intact currently keep in mind that if you spay her that might influence things a bit.

My housemate reminded me of a flashbulb memory I have that I really wish I had a photograph of because it would be a magnificent image to inflict on the internet at large with Zero Context, but I'll try to describe it here, and then draw it after dinner.
Image Description:
As seen from about three feet off the ground: Interior, the den of an american suburban house built at the height of the atomic age and still decorated like it years later. There's dark wood paneling about halfway up the walls that offsets the almost neon pink-orange light of late sunset visible through the large window. Every object in the room is highlighted by the last of the sunlight. The only other light in the room is a TV set that was manufactured the same year Howdy Doody debuted on air, now broadcasting PBS Newshour in black and white.
Closest to the viewer, there is a small end table with a Nearly Full Martini glass, and a Half-empty glass Martini Pitcher, indicating that two of the five martinis it holds have been poured out.
Just behind it, an old man sits in a chair that was bright green and yellow when it was new but is now more Grellow. The man is in his mid-sixites, somewhat heavyset, with a full head of snow-white hair and thick glasses. He's wearing a dark brown tweed suit with leather elbow patches, and a white cotton button-up. He's watching the news with a calm and dispassionate demeanor. Tired, but still engrossed with the world's events. He's wearing dark brown penny loafers and garish argyle socks.
Behind him is a couch that is a matched set with the armchair, with the same Grellow chevron pattern, but there is a very large crochet afghan that has been spread out over the back to be decorative and maybe protect the couch from it's current occupant: a 120lb Wolf Hybrid.
She's seated lengthwise on the couch, like she had also been watching PBS Newshour, posed like a sphynx. She's close in wieght to the man, and definitely taller than him if she stands up, with a dark gray agouti coat and a bit of white countershading from the trace of domestic dog in her. She's turned her head to the viewer, bright yellow eyes focused on them, and the fur of her head and neck haloed with the sunset. She is pleased to see the veiwer, which means most of the teeth in her lower jaw are visible in her canine grin. The effect is very menacing if you don't know her.
Clutched rather neatly between her front paws is a second, identical martini glass, only not nearly quite so full as the old man's.
Title: "Oh, I didn't think you'd be back for another hour/GODDAMIT EDWIN"

afghan hound puppies are born with shorter coats that grow out as they mature, with perhaps the best awkward teen stage of any dog breed
