Let's talk about how useless afo season 1 was tho.... 

like the winners got nothing out of it except 2 songs and not even an mv. The individual members are all kinda doing their own thing or unemployed at this point, and the show itself wasn't popular enough to give them a significant increase in fame. Even the "popular team" is busy with individual stuff that they like basically never appear as a full group and i doubt like half of them are even actively doing anything. Can we also talk about how many injuries the kids endured throughout the course of the show? Including multiple injuries bc of something as dumb as making them have a jump rope competition. Yes its inevitable that kids will get hurt, but why let them get hurt doing silly stuff like jump rope, three legged races, and unnecessary laps around their campus, not actually related to their dance training? The format of the show itself was so dumb they had to change their mind about it halfway through bc they realized how bad it was. The "popular class" was an afterthought after they realized the design of the show basically dictated that a majority of popular kids will get eliminated. Especially bc the show focuses so strongly on the class presidents but only 1 class wins so all the other presidents obviously will get eliminated but they're also some of your most popular trainees. Dont get me started on the skewed camera time. Can we also talk about how bad the songs/choreo the show provided them were? I mean some of them were okayyyy but all of my favorite ones ended up being the ones the kids themselves took into their own hands and were like "okay we gotta completely redo this bc otherwise we'll lose" Literally naichas team only made it to top3 on sheer skill and hard work bc they weren't even popular at first but naicha redid all of their choreos and designed their stages and by the end he was doing everything for his team, even being involved in designing their outfits. He couldn't trust the show to do anything for him so he had so much extra work and responsibility bc he knew if he didnt put in extra effort there was no way his group would be noticed. His main hope was that the judges would recognize and appreciate his team's hard work. And AJ's team had amazing stages bc they made their own choreos and remixed their own songs too. The show even purposefully picked a few "bad songs" for the trainees so that it would create drama when a team was stuck with a meme/dumb song and had to struggle to perform it well. By the 6 -> 3 team round, literally all of the kids went in to listen to samples of the songs and the majority of them were like "uh all of these are bad" ... sigh oh and the round where they literally had to vote off a member of their team to not be able to go onstage? For no reason?? Terrible. Meaningless. Just creating dumb drama and snatching an opportunity to go onstage away from 1 member of each team, even tho their team earned the right to perform. Gao xin's sister came all the way to watch him perform that round and guess what, he wasn't allowed on stage. I feel like I can keep going but basically afo wasn't a well made show, but the kids were great. I have low expectations for afo2, but maybe the kids who go on it can gain some more recognition, get some more opportunities to perform onstage, and even if they win, it probably won't matter if they get managed the same way as the first season winners. that’s why im not super worried about how long the contract will be or whether tygers will make it bc if its the same as season 1′s winners, then even if they manage to win, they can still promote with jia yi as mr.tyger at the same time lol and the winning group will probably have like 1 comeback a year (or less) lol............

#rants #i have a lot of feelings bc im like om the last ep of rewatching afo so its fresh in my mind #and also all the talk about season 2 going on..... ugh im conflicted #xikan and lin mo and wenxuan and qibo will probably be the most popular? but will they be popular enough to make this show matter? #lol............ i just really hope lin mo gets to be a class president otherwise theres gonna be a lot of suffering for him again #i just imagine him getting stuck teaching a bunch of newbie kids how to dance and hurting his back again #well tbh that could still happen even if he is a president but hopefully he'd pick kids that are good to be on his team

just when u start to get yourself used to the idea that wumuti and yu gengyin could be joining afo2, you see pics of zuo qibo instead.... akakshdjjdkdklshdjdjdjdolik ok but if all the tygers go can lin mo please be a class president and can he pull at least all 3 of the other tygers and wenxuan into his class too? CAN HUANG ZHIBO FINALLY GET THE ATTENTION MY CHILD DESERVES??!!??? I also saw li xikan????
