Heyo/ It's Isilrina here, your friendly, imaginative, and occasionally whimsical digital artist in this corner of the internet.
You might remember my Tumblr from a different era, but I've decided to breathe new life into it, and it was long overdue!
I lost touch with my creativity for a significant period, which led to burnouts and challenges. However, I found my way back to it last year, embarking on a transformative journey.
On that path, I got married, received an ADHD diagnosis, and set my sights on opening my own company.
But it all started with a single drawing, the first I created after reconnecting with my true inner self. It was nothing short of a revelation.
Nyota Washington, featuring Maegan Tandy (whom I deeply admire), is one of my most cherished original characters. She's a pivotal part of my creative world, and it's through her that I met my husband. I regularly take her on adventures in diverse universes.
She's been an insomniac sniper in the military in the Pegasus galaxy of Stargate Atlantis, a member of a cluster in the Sense8 universe, or an agent of DivisionX in an original universe.
She's a fighter, a woman of action, a contemporary warrior. She bears deep scars but possesses incredible strength. In many ways, she embodies the ideal I aspire to be – someone who is both mentally and physically strong.
As I typically post every Monday on my Instagram account, which you can find at this link, I'll try to do the same here.
Today wasn't originally planned, so I'll make an exception.
See you around! ;)
