Please tell me they answered this and didn't just randomly say McKenna is in Minnesota now. Did she go to the Olympics like she dreamed about? Give me the McKenna lore. I don't care if it's unrealistic I want my girl to have achieved her dreams.

long haired queens!!!
I often see the AG community ask about who has the longest hair, Kaya or Kanani, honestly? I think Kanani has the longest hair, but I think it’s just by a centimeter. This is me comparing it with Kanani’s hair was intended (down) and Kaya’s (braided), I refuse to ever take my Kaya out of her braids or meet outfit so I guess while she has her braids up, it looks like Kanani’s is longer!

Here are some poorly done mock ups of what I think our newest girly is going to look like. I am leaning towards #1 as being what we will get.
#1 is a Makena mold with a Cecile wig, minus the pin curls and in a darker shade. This Makena mold won’t have makeup, though, because it wouldn’t be age appropriate for the story. I am not the biggest fan of Makena because she looks quite young compared to how old she’s meant to be (+the makeup), but I think her natural face, especially with this hair, looks incredibly adorable. I especially love the look of her lips slightly darkened to look more natural!
#2 is an Addy mold with a Cecile wig, minus the pin curls and in a darker shade. As beautiful as I think she is, I think the illustration we saw today looks more like Makena.

So I haven't posted any doll related pics in awhile, but, I now have a Samantha that I'm now restoring, and I'm excited to make her new again (I'm also refreshing my other dolls as well, trying some limb tightening and stuff). I won't have her outfit quite yet, but in the meantime, I'm cleaning her and giving her a new wig, and she'll have to hang around in modern clothes until I get her meet outfit lol.
(I'm also saving for a CYO).

so Lila Monetti the girl of the year 2024 leaked and first off positive, she looks like a little kid which I love, she's sweet and fun and little kids the target age for american girl will like her, however she feels cheap and boring and so uncreative. Which to be fair is how a lot of the girl of the years have felt for the past five-six years for me, with the exception of Joss and Kavi, most of them have just kind of been repeats and not as interesting characters and that sucks because there's so much that a modern girl could be. I used to love girl of the years as a kid because they felt fresh and different every year, and maybe they still do to kids nowadays but a lot of them all feel like repeats in a way that they haven't felt before. Modern kids are so diverse and interesting and I wish that girl of the year reflected that more, like it used to.

Today's the day!
Today's the day, today's the day!
It's happening, folks! It's happening! I'm at the Orlando American Girl Store with a mission!
She's just so cute, I'll never get over it. Also shoutout to the Kavi display!
And here she is, my beautiful Claudie. She's so much cuter in person. I'm beside myself with excitement.
I'm doing something very scary and going back to school, which is a big transition. I'm 27 so I've been out for a really long time. After a panic attack in the academic advisor's office, a panic attack in my car, and a panic attack in my first math class I decided I needed a reward for putting myself through this hell.
So I decided to buy Claudie. She's going to be my study buddy throughout all of this, and my rewards for doing well and passing my classes will be buying parts of her collection whenever I make it through a semester.
She really has such a sweet face that just looking at her helps the anxiety, and it's good to have tangible rewards to look forward to.
