yuh, sure!

Esme is someone Jack met after high school- maybe in their late teens, early 20s? their story is kinda similar to theirs with Dew in that Esme didn't take their bullshit, but was still obviously interested, so it enticed Jack to chase after her.

Esme is someone with a very strong sense of self. independence is important above all else, even relationships with other people. but she found his lack of brains and secret squishiess immensely charming, and after breaking down his barriers slowly over the course of years, Jack opened up more. Esme was ABSOLUTELY in love. full on "I'm already planning the rest of my life with this man". Jack... not so much; they couldn't figure out WHAT they felt for her, but people told them it was love, so they stuck to that.

Esme got on like a house fire with his family. she passed the Vibe Check. which, as it's Jack, is seriously important to him. so when he told Sarah how he felt, how confusing it all was, how lovesick she made him feel, she gave him the encouragement to go ahead with it and propose. but. Jack. Jack is Jack. Jack has supremely strong commitment issues. he kept up a front for a good while, seeing as how happy it made his family, his friends, and his future wife, he could just suck it up, right? but eventually he cracked and straight up fled for months, going dark on everybody except for the occasional vague reassurance that he's safe to his family.

and Esme, being his best friend at the time, knows exactly how that man's brain works. she knew what this meant for their relationship- it wasn't like she could easily move on from this and get married anyway, even if he DID return quickly. she was PISSED. this was totally unacceptable. she was also just... really, really hurt. Esme ended up giving them the silent treatment for a good few months after Jack returned out of homesickness. she handed Sarah the engagement ring and told her to "throw it away", but Jack's mama would never be able to do that, so she returned it to Jack.

Esme came to accept, in time, that Jack wasn't as mature as she'd hoped he was. she knew, deep down, that he would never be ready so soon, but she wanted very badly to have a happy little fairytale ending with the man of her dreams. but she's STUBBORN. so, after recovering, she decided that she was still going to be in his life. and she has been ever since! she never left. their friendship is still standing purely because Esme is too bullheaded to write Jack off as a lost cause, and Jack would never be able to fully push her away after she got to see the softer side of him. they're no longer best friends, but she's still a very active part of their life.

she often puppysits for Jack while they're out, and works at a tattoo parlor. :)

So uh ily guys, and I’m sure y’all know that.

But really, I wanna thank y’all for being here for me. I’ve always struggled with being the outcast or black sheep. I’ve always struggled with fitting in or finding the people I could belong with. But you guys? Y’all have accepted me and told me such good things about me, ones I need to take as fact and lessons. Y’all have been nothing but kind to me and y’all have accepted me for who I am and have raised me up in positivity. Y’all foster my creativity and bring the kindness and positivity out in me.

It’s been so hard trying to find and maintain friends irl, but on here? I know I can count on y’all. Even if the conversations aren’t long or serious, I know I can come back to y’all again and again. I know I can depend on y’all for entertainment, advice, and anything in between. And for that, I thank you. Those closest to me know my insecurities and struggles with self esteem and self confidence, but with you guys, I’m slowly learning to stand up for myself and to slowly love myself and accept myself.

Tumblr, while having its ups and downs, has brought me to y’all. My community. My friends. People who are patient with me and kind and caring and trusting. I couldn’t be more grateful. It means the world to me to know there are people out there who love and care about me and can even relate to me sometimes. I feel not so alone in the world. While I’m not looking too forward to this new year, I am looking forward to spending more time with y’all!

Whether it’s cultivating our friendships or muses’ relationships, I look forward to it happily. I can’t wait to write with y’all again next year! -Joey and Xornoth will have a dramatic break up. By that, I mean Joey is the one putting in the drama of a high school breakup movie and Xornoth is just like 😐😑😐

-Joey doesnt get corrupted, at least at first. He follows Xornorth out of free will but on the condition Xornoth wouldn’t try corrupting him again. It gives his character both the excuse to be a irredeemable villain or join the good side when he realized Xornoth is a lil bitch. He will drive Xornoth MAD w his bullshit and the reason the demon doesn’t fucking kill him is bc they know they only have like 1 other ally and at least this one helps him out of free will.

ok so basically i call it Partner!Laurice au and the premise is Larry, after The First Turnabout, is like "ok bro i dont have v much money so to pay you back ill help you out with your lawyer stuff"

so basically theres a lot more maya/larry friendship momence and stuff yeehaw

he also joins edgeworth in the investigations games because gumshoe pretty edgey is his friend too!!!

some notes n stuff

-he isnt ALWAYS with nick/edgeworth, sometimes hes off doing his own thing and runs into them (IE running his weenie stand in turnabout goodbyes and playing the steel samurai in turnabout ablaze

-hes completely absent from recipe for turnabout bc hes off becoming Laurice

-gumshoe was his bi awakening. the crush started after the rescue in Turnabout Samurai and has grown when you see him again in Turnabout Goodbyes

-the most adhd ass mf youll ever meet. same with gumshoe, maya and phoenix they all have adhd cause i said so

-will not hesitate to sass people he doesn't like

-REALLY doesnt like franziska bc she keeps whipping gumshoe and will frequently try to protect gumshoe when he can. he WILL catch that whip
