STOP! I’ve always wanted to talk about them!!!! Jon and Talia always had an interesting dynamic with the way that Jon feels the need to actively defend Damian from her because he doesn’t know how complicated their relationship is but just how Damian has been affected by it. I feel like by this time Jon and Damian already had an intense conversation about his mother and he understands her a bit more but still can’t help but follow his instincts and defend Jon if Talia so much as fixes her lips to call Damian a weapon…

But if they wouldn’t be able to fight or so much as argue because no matter what they’d hurt Damian. They both always have Damian’s best interests at heart and If anything Talia is very traditional and would see a kryptonian as genetically perfect to be by Damian’s side but in a way it comforts her to know Damian is safe. That’s Talia’s biggest concern as his mother and if Jon is 1. Someone who makes Damian incredibly happy. And 2. Is able to keep him safe then why wouldn’t she like Jon for Damian?

As long as this marriage means that Jon is willing to devote his life to serving Damian’s every need then she’s totally fine with it. I mean she’d never wanna take that away from Damian, she loves him too much. I’d love to see these two interact, Jon gets on Batman’s case about Damian all the time and he’d probably be the same on Talia. I don’t think their relationship would be very domestic but I know that it would be interesting and sweet to have these two opposing forces coming together on a shared interest.

Just imagining Talia telling Jon “Keep him safe for me.” AUGH, my heart.

I feel like Damian would be SHOCKED to find that Talia approves but mostly on a level as to where they ARE kind of traditional so the topic of them being both boys would likely make Damian shy away from that conversation and secondly, Jon now is something that makes Talia see him as weaker: “In love,” but… really, she’s been trying to step away from that recently because she sees how Damian balances his heart and head.

#NEW ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES!!! I TOLD YALL I WASN'T DONE WITH THIS!!! #SO sorry it took so long. i still can't control my artblocks. but i've had this idea for so long #spn #spnart #spn art #mine.caro #ok so. explanation time. cracking my knuckles. i haven't done this in so long ahhhh #so i HAD to do nephilim eventually. of course. and the key thing about them is they're the children of angels and humans #and i figured i'd start with a fetus bc that's the nephil version of the angel factory settings. and that needed a shape like the AFS did #it felt right to go with a sphere. and after the nephil is born and becomes a more distinct individual etc the spheres unravel in different #ways. some open up like pillbugs (woodlouse? i never know the right name). others sprout like seeds. others spiral out. the possibilities #are endless hehe. and the sphere had to have a mix of angel trueform and human soul. which i've been coding so far as the black and white #trueforms and collages. so that was settled. but that couldn't be it bc it's not just one and the other. they're integrated in one thing #so. for the regular nephil i filled out some cells in black like angel trueforms and others with collages. in the trueforms cells #and it's Earthly Things like plants and body parts and fruits and animals water and the sky and rocks etc. and a bigger solid collage block #that's just body parts. so specifically human stuff. AND THEN i took that sphere (well circle) and cut it up and kintsugi'ed it with #angel grace. feels like a way to go to represent nephil. and then i added the angel wheels to look like a sort of proto version of AFS #and that's regular nephil. for jack he had to be different bc lucifer nephil is thee antichrist. it's different. so i followed the samelogi #but based on the lucifer trueform instead of AFS. so i painted the solid black with alcohol-based markers so i could smudge it with alcohol #and then added the collage bits (more from a fitness magazine than a fashion magazine i used for the other one. gets a more aggressive vibe #i think. more flexed muscles) and painted the chaotic smoke cloud over it. and then i did the same kintsugi process. i was gonna do it in #silver but figured it made no sense. it should be the same. and the black and gold look cool #and what else. regular nephil has a rosary-like umbilical cord! emerging from one of the poles of the sphere so to speak #and jack has none :// partly bc i forgot at first kfjg but then i didn't go back to add it bc i feel that matches fetus jack's situation #considering it's an angel grace umbilical cord #and i think that's it! #these aren't up on the stores yet but im gonna add them now #hope they're worth the wait. if anyone was waiting for more #Trueforms

He waited until Beat was settled and then passed over a box wrapped carefully and tagged with Beat's name. Inside was another piece of Hanekoma's favorite type of presents to give, exclusive, one-of-a-kind Gatito merchandise. Though, he was sure Beat probably wouldn't recognize the brand or connect the dots as to how he could have gotten ahold of such a piece.

This time is was a new set of headphones. He remembered when he had designed the headphones that would go on to be a staple of Neku after a time, and he had done what he could to improve on that design. The color theme of these were much closer to Beat's current set, and he tried to keep the silhouette of them just as sleek. But he had played around with different materials and had worked until he had a more secure fit around the padding to better cancel out outside noise. He'd also set them up to interact with an app where the equalization could be customized to fit Beat's specific preferences for sound. And finally, he'd taken Beat's favorite defining symbol and had plastered one side with a skull motif to complete the look. A QR code was printed on a slip of paper inside the box with the headphones that went to the download page for the accompanying app, and Hanekoma would make sure he didn't miss it while he was examining his new gift.

It may have been Beat's special day, but it was also a regular weekday, so he still rolled up as usual to volunteer at Wildkat (and also as usual, was a little-too-rough on the poor front door when he arrived). But before he'd even stepped in far enough to push up his sleeves and ask what his task was for the day, Mr Hanekoma was already passing him a box and telling him to take a break.

"Seriously--?" It wasn't such a surprise that Hanekoma knew the day, even if Beat couldn't remember ever telling him. But to go as far as to prepare him a gift... not that Beat would complain, but didn't he understand that he'd already given Beat more than he could ever repay?

He tore the wrapping away from the box and pulled it open, taking no time to savour the mystery of what was inside. An awed "Holy shit" left him as he uncovered the new headphones and took them -- with much more care than he'd unwrapped them with -- in his hands. His smile grew as he inspected them, fingers passing over the custom decal in engrossed wonder.

Beat was not the audiophile Neku was (yet), but he'd picked up enough from his best friend to recognize that he was holding something ridiculously high-quality. Probably too high-quality to entrust to a rough, irresponsible teenager like him, to be honest... but he knew that Mr Hanekoma wouldn't be giving them to him if he believed that, which made the gift mean that much more. And of course, when he slipped the phones over his head, the fit was perfect.

He met Mr Hanekoma's eye. "So these're-- mine?" was all he could make himself say that wasn't just happily impressed swear words. It was a stupid question, and at the most surface level he knew the answer was yes, but it wasn't properly sinking in. It felt like these were too special for him, that a simple birthday was too flippant an occasion to give away something this slick, that he still hadn't returned enough favours to Mr Hanekoma to earn it.

"Man, you could'a jus' sang 'Happy Birthday', y'know? These things are too damn cool!"

in my senior year a soc studies teacher got busted for being part of a heroin operation in like the middle of the year. he was holding a cooler of heroin (20 grams at the time) and cash for the dealer in exchange for product. he was also selling suboxone and percs himself. big meme at school was that in his phone records they found him googling "can I be charged with drug trafficking based on text messages". originally got 4 charges but his very $$ lawyer got it down to one count of possession and he only got like 3 years.
