Forever holding my silly little headcanon that at the end of iswm Dark was the one that got box and put the crystal on it and then contacted Actor telling him part of the mirror was stuck in a museum so Actor hired a thief (heist mark and his partner) to go steal it knowing full well that it would make chaos happen

Also captain magnum made the box. Idk why I just think he looks creative and could make funky lil boxes.

I'm loving the Yancy asks I'm getting, he's one of my favorite egos! Thanks for the ask, anon.

Yancy was really nervous when he first got on parole. He hadn’t been outside of Happy Trails for as long as he could really remember

He tells you about a million times that he’s lucky to have you in his life, and that he’d probably die in the real world without your help

(He won’t stop, either, no matter how many times you tell him that you don’t need that much credit)

When Yancy did get out of jail, he basically invited himself to live at your house by crashing on your couch every night. You didn’t mind, though, you would’ve insisted he stay over if he hadn’t himself

Also, at your encouragement, Yancy starts working on music and playing guitar at a local coffee shop to help chip in some money. Getting a “real-person” job would’ve taken too much time and effort, anyhow

In Yancy’s words, he’s never been so happy in his life. He gets free coffee after his sets, he has more resources to work on music, and he gets to see you every day. What could be better?

By the way, if you have any pets or plants, he jumps at the excuse to help look after them. It gives him a sense of purpose

Gonna try and fix my tag situation. apparently my old fashion tag rambling is preventing shit from showing up so I’m gonna try just doing read mores from now own. It originally was gonna be him doing a poke tattoo on himself but i wanted him to hug a plush for comfort. also writing words with your non dominant hand like yikes.

maybe ill redraw that scene instead but probably not. also thought of the gregory brothers giving the tattoo but then i ran out of room on my paper. I could use my tablet but hngggg paper sketch easy. me no think.

(OOC: I invite y'all to do some brainstorming with me

So, a headcanon for my interpretation of Dark is that they can't see colors -- almost everything in their vision is greyscale. This is actually a type of colorblindness IRL(it's called monochromacy, one of my former music teachers has it), but that's just to share a fun fact. Dark's colorblindness, specifically, is caused by the aura surrounding them; however, they can see colors caused by other people and objects accompanied by magic.

Essentially, what I'm offering is if y'all wanna suggest any ideas for what colors Dark can see. Here's what I have as of right now:

The pink from Wilford's mustache and hair

The red from The Actor's magic

The blue from the crystal

The respectively-colored glows from the G's on the Googlebots' torsos

Yancy's magic tattoos (they're black, so to Dark's eye they just look much bolder than something else colored black)

The green of Anti's eyes and glitches

The black of Unus's eyes, and the white of Annus's eyes

The green/purple (or whatever color it is, I'm not currently up-to-date) of Marvin's magic

...Any other suggestions?

Thinking about Alice Human Sacrifice for the Markiplier Protags. See tags for infodump.

So:

(Spoilers ahead!)

Wilford sets the date for our interview for Oct 30th of 2019 which was AHWM's premier date. So that already happened. But we were in the past after all. (Wmlw with Abe and Wills confrontation)

Will uses the calendar, which prooves that the theory about the date on it was correct!

Abe and Noir Mark share a scene with Abe calling us his gorgeous partner

Yancy is trying for parole for us, which means Mark saw the fanfiction. (one fear)

Most paths lead you to the one true ending where Actor Mark apologizes. It's debatable whetever it was genuine or not. Because you held on. You "forgave him" (in his mind anyway) but the cliffhanger with Dark means that the other theme of ISWM will not be forgotten about:

"Your actions have consequences"

6. Dark picks up the crystal which is the same crystal on the box from Heist and the same crystal that WAS in our hand for the majority of space.

7. Ms. Whitacare is basically Celine confirmed, with her calling Damien an old friend. (We dont know how she made it out of Dark or why she doesn't call him her brother, but it stands to reason that he is no longer her brother. He is Dark after all.)

8. Part 1: Actor Mark's scene where we see him backstage. His parole was ending today and there is a small scene where it is mentioned, that Mark has escaped.

9. .......The Jims were there. Briefly. Accusing us.

10. The Cliffhanger with Dark, Actor's apology, Celine in disguise, Damien mentioned not by name but with seemingly everything but his name, Abe making an appearance in 2 scenes, with Will taking away the burden of choice...

So let's see... 7 gods hold the key, right?

Yes, I've decided that is possible, right now, because I love that idea. It's hilarious.

If cpt dark can throw hands, head engineer can throw hands too. Though unlikely due to his doormat personality...

We can see the pillow ending is that Engineer was eventually pushed to enact violence out of resentment of the Captain. Maybe in some other AUs he is pushed that far, but in a different span of time or method, too. Or maybe he catches onto how much of an asshole the Captain (Dark) is (whether only sometimes or all the time depending on the characterization being plural or singular- We as a viewer can be an asshole or a decent guy, so you can see either of those paths as Dark being an asshole or Dark being manipulative (or... a decent guy... I guess?)) And even better- in the ending of part 2 we see Engineer get violent with the captain. So by then, he's definitely convinced (whether it's true or not) that the captain is a bad guy. Adding my AU ontop of that is interesting, because in canon Engineer realizes the Captain isn't a bad guy, so in my AU it would be that the Engineer was (partially) deceived by this "Hero act" that isn't quite all true due to Dark's presence and ulterior motive. (motive being getting the warp core for the AHWM box, and whatever other multiverse power he might want for whatever AU reasons... a motive can change, too, I'd like to think Dark wanted to get rid of Mark until he realized this Mark isn't "really" Actor- not that he'd necessarily hesitate because of that- but that on top of him being Unable to kill him thanks to the paradox. haha)

I enjoy some darkhenge angst- the kind where they've genuinely become enemies over time. I mean, it's canon, both in ISWM (as explained) and in other adventures, except it'd be Actor and Dark instead. I haven't thought much of the idea of a pure bleak angst, but it's a really fun idea.

"Bad endings" is an interesting way to put it. I think Dark is already undead and exists metaphysically, unkillable, like every other character in this illusory theatric space. (especially Warfstache, the viewer, and Actor Mark- I think awareness/acceptance of chaos makes you more unkillable.) So, in that logic, Darkiplier can just... Respawn. I mean, we see it happen in ISWM... so my explanation here is kind of redundant, haha, it's not even AU- it's canon. Fun trope! But I do like to think about it in the context of my AU. I like to reminisce upon Homura Akemi when writing how Cpt Dark experiences ISWM.

ISWM PT 2 SPOILERS!

Just did my first play through of ISWM PT 2 and I got the good ending! I was balling my eyes out, Mark is so talented and he’s so incredibly at what he does. His acting was amazing and he really hit me right in the feels.

When the credits started playing I was just sitting there in awe. He’s put so much work into In space and Mark deserves the world. I hope he’ll see how proud everyone is of him. After seeing him act so emotionally in the good ending, I can’t wait to see his acting in The Edge Of Sleep! He’s got to much talent and it’s so wonderful to see.

I was using my Darkiplier senses to scout out Dark and it worked 💀 The good ending has dark in the post credits. I got so excited when I saw him. I really hope it branches out into something with Dark. I haven’t been able to play through any more branches cause I have school tomorrow and I gotta get to sleep but I hope to find more Darkiplier!

Also the warp core in the box in AHWM?? MARK?? How is his brain so big? I was in shock when I realized.

I was so excited to see Stan the waterman! I recognized him immediately and my mouth dropped.

The revamp of Space Is cool?? It had me in my feels. Mark has such a great voice :,) when it comes out on apple music, i’m gonna be streaming that bad boy everyday

I’ll leave more thoughts tomorrow when I continue!

thinking canon lore. The crystal is to do with the chaos of iswm.. i think its the same crystal, so what if when Dark took the crystal, he put in the box to keep it safe then put it in the museum. not really caring where to put it bc he knew that if Actor found it, Actor would get and Actor then hired Heist and his partner to go get it for him bc he has money and both Dark and Actor know what chaos will happen and they are both wanting to be the ones causing the chaos trying to pull us to either ones direction. Actors being all like "look at the adventures i can give you, im giving you love , adventure , fun anything you want" but Darks trying to in a manipulate way wanting to be like but "do you really like these games??.. like seriously do you even want to be here or is he forcing you to be here?"

and im pretty sure Dark says the same thing on ahwm and iswm. so Darks being repetitive to try make us remember. try to get it into our heads and maybe theres so many other things Actors got us to do with him but we dont know bc we dont 'remember' it, maybe there was failed projects idk . this all also could just be still happening in the mirror since on who killed markiplier we are the d/a and we never left the mirror. all of the egos could all be Actor, Dark and Wilford are the only egos we are able to see bc they keep breaking through the void.. into whatever Actor is making us do now

and also Dark always shows up in a void, Wilford can show up whenever he wants so its like on a video game with Dark when you break the game sometimes and go past the 'wall' , Dark is waiting for us back there and then we can go see him because he can break it for a bit of time with Wilford he breaks in, he shows up not caring for the scripts . hes following Dark and hopping around from portal to portal sometimes accidently showing up at the wrong time or we show up at the wrong time.. or sometimes he shows up too early, or we show up too early.

I know all too well that I might be late to the party on this take (still not gonna watch ISWM or delve into the lore for the sake of my health, sorry and thank you✌️), but it only hit me today and I am just elated that Dark is directly responsible for the box from AHWM.

They didn't just find it. They didn't just lead us to the museum that was housing it. They built it, and either left it out for the curators to find or planted it there themself. And their smug ass is sitting there in AHWM, admiring not just another source of power they have complete control over, but one of their own design.

First of all, I'm really happy to know they're more crafty than I gave them credit for -- in every sense of the word. Secondly, this does mean that Mark isn't sweeping them completely under the rug, and that's a fact I'm really dang grateful for; like I get it now, they just didn't have anything to contribute for the on-screen story for ISWM.

But I just hope Mark knows that doesn't deter my interest in Dark at all. If anything, it makes me wonder what other obstacles and tribulations they're responsible for... or WILL be responsible for.

Rewatching and reexamining Dark’s character.

So, I recently rewatched AHWM along with ISWM, because yknow, I love Dark’s character. Sue me. (please don’t)

SO, getting into it, this is right after i’ve watched Ignorance Is Bliss:

Y'know, coming back and watching this again, it's fantastic to see how Dark as a character has progressed. I just watched the date with markiplier ending(s) as well, and d a m n you can see the difference.

Dark is more...elegant, more suave, well spoken and put together in this one. You'd almost confuse him for a politician or some kind of influencer by the way he talks, the way he moves. And yet he almost seems... sad. Like he's been grieving for a while, and he knows how to hide it well.

Grieving for what? for whom? I'm not sure. Maybe for us, the DA who'se body he stole in an act of desperation. Maybe it's for William, who has lost himself to his madness and adopted a new persona. Maybe for the individual spirits inside him, for who they used to be.

We see a lot of afterimages in this compared to A Date, most of them in red. hell, most of them in pain. Dark is in pain, as a unit.

We know that Celine fell asleep (DAMIEN) although we don't know when that took place. All of Dark's appearances before this have been chaotic, he's always been a mess at the best of times and terrifying at worst. There is a difference though: He's always had an equal amount of both red and blue, both of the twins driving, so to speak.

But this time? It's only red in the afterimage.

This is after Celine fell asleep.

Damien is in charge and it SHOWS.

The transitions between scenes, the table with the single wine glass, the desk, just the void, seem cleaner as well. Like he's learned to use these... otherworldly abilities he's been unwillingly granted. Another point for this theory is the fact that he's hidden clues throughout A Heist. He's never done that shit before.

Overall, goddamn.

I see the corrolation between the Box and the stone in Space, which would explain how we're able to switch universes so blatantly and so fluently in both In Space and A Date.

Although, there is the question of how this is affecting Dark and Wilford, who are both constants in these universes? Has Dark had constant contact with the stone? Does the stone have anything to do with the Entity from the Manor?

What form will we see Dark in next? Will it still be Damien taking the reigns, or will Celine wake up?

Questions, questions.

I guess we have to wait for the truth.
