Advice for the signs based on which element dominates your chart 🔥🌍💧💨

i was meditating and recieved great insight into the thought process of some signs through the literal embodiments of their element.

Earth signs: are grounded and practical but they can also easily get stuck literally or mentally in certain thought processes, because just like the earth it takes a lot to get them to actually move or change, like earthquakes or mudslides or even Pangea just over long periods of time, or sometimes it just needs a comet to come in and completely change the way they work or think, they need to remember that they cannot let themselves become stagnant and know that though it takes great effort to change--especially the way they think, they have the hands to mold who they wish to become.

Fire signs: ever changing, growing and always going towards what brings them joy or enlightenment, can feel like they over power a space and are lonely in their growth, but free in their dance to learn the balance between destruction and creation and what it means for them, to keep finding a light or to be their own, they are centered and sure of what they want but their unpredictable way of moving and changing can be jarring to others, while others might fear them because of their self assuredness they need to remember their center of good and come from a place of warmth, you can be your own light, but don't let your self destructiveness take over

Air signs: free flowing, goes where the wind takes them, sometimes not being able to put action into their own lives but other times being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, but they can get sucked into their own heads lost in thought and unsure of where they're going, Air signs abstract patterns are what keeps them excited but can make them lonely, they need to flow with life while knowing which direction they're going, and to let others into their lives and not let the people they like slip from their grasp from being too carried away with other things, sometimes you need someone to keep you grounded, it's okay to need others

Water signs: can sometimes fall too deep into their emotions, accidently consuming themselves in their own waves or the ripples created by others, can turn themselves into the most fearsome tsunami rather than remembering the calm waters they can have, always absorbing other waters, you need to center your emotions within yourself and remember that you are a creature of growth, ever changing, some days you will feel like a smooth sailing river and other days will feel like thrashing rain, and you need to center yourself and remember that that is okay

The Air Element is represented by the sky, wind, birds, and mountaintops, and is associated with the mind, intellect, communication and divination. Like Water, Air is an Element of movement. It is not fixed to the ground, but instead can rise up and travel around the globe. Air’s energies can cause rapid change, such as shifts in the wind’s direction and fluctuations in temperature. It is essential to life because it contains oxygen, but also because it scatters seeds across the ground so that new plant life can take root in the Earth. The destructive attributes of Air come in the form of storms (especially tornadoes) as well as dangerously cold or hot temperatures. When sufficiently energetic, Air can move Water and extinguish Fire. It can also both move Earth and be obstructed by it, such as when the wind is blocked by the shelter of a cave. In the form of a soft breeze, however, it can be experienced as the gentle reassuring whisper of the Gods and Goddesses.

Connecting With The Elements

Connecting with the elements is all about balance. Many people, myself included, easily connect with one element and lack connection to the others. Many people also associate with one element, and adopt it like a personality trait. But being out of balance with the elements is like missing an important piece of the puzzle you've been working on forever. It's important to create a connection to the elements. To find that puzzle piece, so it can help you find the next one.

So how do you start creating balance with the elements?

The first step is to find the element you most easily connect with. For some this is going to be easy. You might think "I'm an earth sign, I identify with that." or "I've always been drawn to water." or "I have a lot of fire traits." For others this might be difficult. There are a few ways you can go about it.

First is to look at your birth chart. There are a ton of websites that will calculate this for you. Look at how many signs in each element are in your chart. Which element is the strongest in your chart? For me this is fire. My sun sign is an earth sign, but a majority of my chart is fire.

The second would be to look at a list of traits associated with each element, and write down all the ones you have. Count up the ones in each element. Which has the most traits? For me this is a tie between fire and water.

And finally, the third is to reflect on which element(s) you've always been drawn to. Which natural places have you always felt more connect with? Which animals? Maybe you feel like a bath or a soak in the ocean/a lake makes everything better? Maybe you've always been drawn to candle magic? For me, this is water.

Once you've determined which element is already your strongest, look at which is your weakest. You can use the same techniques above for this step too. For me, this is earth.

It's best to start out by connecting with the element that you've determined is your weakest.

What if Cynder never turned undead?

The Artists of Skylands server put out a challenge on making element swapped characters, and I decided to chose to do Cynder for this challenge.

On the same server, someone mentioned a headcanon that Cynder was originally an Air element dragon before she became Undead by Malefor, so I thought to myself "what if I made a design for her if she never became undead?" I decided to make her a lightning dragon, since her powers do revolve around using lightning.

Made a fan-made vivosaur out of boredom and inspiration!

Say hello to Ichthys, the Air-elemental vivosaur! (Not named Ichthyo because Dean/ZestyZino already nabbed the name for an Ichthyovenator.)

Why the choice of the Air element and lightning theming? Because of Mary Anning and the fact that she survived a lightning strike as a baby. (Also, thank you FGO's Mary Anning for inspiration as well.)

Oh yeah, the seashells also connect to Mary Anning, cause iiuc "She sells seashells on the seashore" tongue-twist is in reference to her.

And, it's kinda hard to see in the alt colours, but I designed Ichthys' eyes after the olden interpretation of Ichthyosaurus with the whole "bones in the eyes"-thing.

The concept of a "fifth element" that is above or more powerful than the Greek/Western four of air-earth-fire-water is dumb to me. It always has been. It's like someone making a character for a story who is so powerful that the story itself bends around them.

No one is consistent about what this super-powerful fifth element even is. I've seen all of the following:

Spirit

Light

Darkness

Magic

Quintessance

Aether

Also, the four Greek/Western elements? They're equals! I'm sick of people acting like one is somehow more important overall to the whole of reality or the entire world than the other three.

Some people need to go back to Wikipedia and read about these things more before they make definitive statements about reality.

Hey everyone.

I've done a set of illustrations for the "Kals" book series that my friend is writing and I wanted to put them all in one place, so here's a mega-post showing off the main cast.

The series is based around characters who have divine elemental powers that they use to battle demons. It's part fantasy, part superhero!

Elements: Air Edition

About the air element: The air element is linked to things such as divination, concentration, visualization, and prophecy. Air teaches us how to hone our scattered energy and focus it toward what we want. It teaches us to use our intention. Air can be a big cleanser and also a big charger. Just stand outside for a few momenrs on a windy day, letting it blow around you and play through your hair, and you will feel renewed.

Air in magic: The air element is often used in combination with smoke, feathers, trees, flowers, and plants. It is common to use the air element in both spells that require letting go, and in spells that bring you new information. After all, rumors can travel on the wind. Aromatherapy, hanging objects up, playing the flute or other woodwind instruments, and tossing things to the wind are all examples of using the air element in magic.

Some air spirits include: Sylphs, zephyrs, faeries

Air in daily life: The most obvious form of air in our daily lives is the air that we breathe. Everyone does it, everyone needs it. Speaking requires the element of air as well, as it carries the vibrations of our voices. We use air to cool off, and every time we look up at the clouds in the sky, we are interacting with the air element.

Air in the home: Similarly to how fire is used to keep our homes warm, air is used to keep them cool. Whether you are opening a window, turning on a fan, using an air conditioner, or fanning yourself with the playbill for your little brother's school performance of Legally Blonde in the stuffy auditorium, you are using air to cool yourself down. Air can also be very healing. How many times have you stepped outside to get some fresh air and take in the breeze while you were feeling sick?

Air in the kitchen: Though it may not be obvious at first, there are some cooking methods that utilize the air element. Perhaps the most common is drying, whether you are drying meat for jerkey or herbs for tea. Then there is cooking with convection heat, which is growing more popular, or cooking with microwaves. Also popular, as seen by the amount of fizzy beverages and whipped toppings available, is carbonation and aeration. There are several foods and ingredients associated with the air element, including~

Air Mars, on a good day: "My intellect is my power and not my curse."

Why? - The air element pertains to the intellectual and mental realms, aligning with the tarot suit of Swords for tarot enthusiasts. This energy is objective and often plays the role of an observer, akin to how our minds function. There is a tendency to maintain a certain distance, which might be perceived as detachment. I mentioned "curse" because this intellectual energy can sometimes feel like a curse when you find yourself alien to those who don't operate as efficiently from the mind. The curse lies in not being seen, understood, appreciated, and having to conform to rules you'd rather not. Think ~Aquarian energy~

It also involves the stark alienation from others and the resulting projections; your intelligence might be interpreted as being aloof, or even intimidating, as is sometimes the case with ~Libra energy~

And, of course, we are familiar with the criticism ~Gemini energy~ faces due to its constant need for mental stimulation to even exist, which can manifest in both healthy and not-so-healthy ways.

connecting with air spirit

1. advance your verbal communication skills. develop your verbal communication skills (words, speech, writing) and nonverbal communication skills (body language, laughing, crying, etc), to be better understood by others, and to also get a clearer understanding of other people as well.

2. bond. be open to companionship, friendship, harmonizing and building connections with others, as well as yourself. healthy friendships and relationships can truly bring out the chemistry of life.

3. create your reality. your word is the most powerful tool you have that manifest’s your reality. words are spells, so don’t curse yourself. speak of the heaven you wish to experience and you’ll have that.

4. don’t take life too seriously. be playful. be mischievous. be tricky. be experimental. be different. laugh. escape the drama. stay joyous.

5. take a different route. spice your life up by doing something different than you normally do. eat a new meal. drive on a new road. explore a new shop. watch a new movie.

6. learn more. when something peaks your interest, dive a little deeper and learn more about it. (ex: watch the animal channel. read psychology/spirituality books. take a class.)

7. teach. share your knowledge with others in a way that best suits you. (talking, writing, music, etc). being a mentor and sharing your spiritual knowledge and wisdom, can help assist others to a greater path.

8. be elusive. loose your self limiting perception yourself and just be whatever you want to be in the moment.

9. be innovative. forget the box you’re tryna fit into and create your own lane. combine and mix all the things that you love and own it.

10. find a solution. think like a scientist. there’s always a way to find a answer to every problem. try out everything and don’t be afraid of making mistakes, because in the end you’ll always have the solution.
