“Ok, this needs to be said. You guys need to show Aisha x Nex just as much love as Aisha x Nabu. Why? Because Aisha and Nex as a couple works just as well as she did with Nabu, if not more so. Their names balance out meaning 'life and death' and for the record, Nex is NOT a copy of Riven, just because they look similar doesn't mean they're the same. Nex's personality is much more outgoing and sociable than Riven's who is more reclusive and brooding. Nex just gets a little arrogant but he has Aisha to cool him down and Nex helps Aisha be more trusting of others.”

Quick question: what would be a perfect alternative Winx x Specialist pairings in your honest opinion? Like, if Bloom didn't date Sky, Stella didn't date Brandon, Flora didn't date Helia (I mean, she would be with Mirta, but the show's heteronormativity says "Fuck you" to us), Musa didn't date Riven, Tecna didn't date Timmy, Aisha didn't date Nabu/Roy/Nex.

Bloom:

I've begun my "I don't care for Bloom/Sky" era except I love Sky unlike most people who believe this. He's literally a wet cat of a man. Bloom's and Sky's relationship is based on Bloom wanting the prince charming of her dreams, and Sky wanting to be normal by being with someone nomral. Both of these things are very much not true and are pretty unrealistic of them.

Bloom/Brandon

Brandon is the only one of the guys that would be able to roll with the insane shit that Bloom is ALWAYS caught up in without missing a beat. That's it, that's the only reason. No hesitation, no surprise, simple acceptance.

Stella:

I cannot believe you're making me break up Brella I will NEVER forgive you for this /joke

Stella/Helia

Why? Helia is the only person Brandon has ever considered a threat to his relationship, and I think that's funny as hell. Helia's commitment to the bit and acting utterly insane (see: holding off a monster only for Flora and letting the other Winx die ig, throwing someone through a table) would match Stella's ultra dramatic energy perfectly. Stella starts a bit and Helia acts like it's her last dying will and testament. Also, Helia seems to not trust himself as a part of a team (esp in the comics) and Stella's Stella ness would drag him out to hang out with everyone more often in s2 helping with that. On the other side Helia would barely care about Stella's looks, like they'd probably dating after Stella drops her "cute blonde ditz" mask, so he'd inform her of how much he likes her real personality so often

Stella/Timmy

I think it would be cute. Stella keeps him in her purse and she thinks he's so adorable. Timmy is being lavished with attention and he will try his best to let Stella know she's the best person he's ever met

Flora:

I genuinely forget that in canon Flora and Helia are supposed to be together. Mirta my beloved disaster lesbian

Flora/Riven

I have too many shippers of these two following me to not see the appeal. I have read the essays and I am convinced they could be EXTREMELY cute. Riven helps Flora be more assertive and not exclusively do things for others, and Flora helps Riven connect with his emotions and other people. Adorable

Tecna:

I don't ship Tecna's aroace ass with Timmy in the first place, or anyone for that matter so this is gonna be difficult

Tecna/Nabu

She'd eat everyone alive. He's the only non Timmy person who'd survive

Musa:

Despite Rivusa being my otp, breaking it up is a lesser crime than breaking up Brella who are soulmates. You still will not be forgiven for your transgressions /joke

Personally I think it's funny and they'd balance each other out and have similar focus on the mission priorities. Also Aisha starts off in my thing finding Sky super annoying for Diaspro related reasons but they have similar childhoods and reacted in almost opposite ways and I feel that that's a neat dynamic

as for an actual answer, I HAVE thought about this before! So I'll take this chance to go deeper into them:

Flora/Riven: Flora simply has massive "I can fix him" vibes, but also soft girl x broody boy is a classic for a reason. I also feel because of this they would be a bit more stable than the rest? DEFINITELY more stable than their respective canon couples lmao, but that's not saying much. I still think they would have some drama tho (both are passive aggressive and keep their emotions bottled) but it would never reach the levels MuRi's forced to deal with.

Musa/Timmy: I just think they would be really chill I guess! I feel Timmy would lead Musa to maybe calm down a bit more (especially early Musa, who was intense from time to time) and Musa would lead Timmy to be more assertive in her own way. It essentially has the same vibes as Musa/Tecna, but straight, and that's why I think it would work decently well.

Bloom/Nabu (then Roy and Nex): what is MORE protagonist-y than having three love interests? /j. Now being real, I feel Nabu and Bloom have a lot of things they could bond over, especially with Bloom being between wanting the royal life and utterly dreading it and Nabu being raised in nobility and (based on his reactions and attitude about the arranged marriage) not quite loving it. Also we could have gotten Bloom going feral in S4 and tell me that wouldn't have been awesome. Roy would work well as a rebound kinda deal and then I do think Nex would go well with her somehow? I think it's the similarities he has with both Sky and Riven. But yeah I think these could work kinda.

Aisha/Sky: they would bond over not really wanting royal life but still being dedicated to their kingdoms and knowing that the alternative of them not becoming regents is worse, and both know how it's like to deal with overbearing parents. It would definitely cause chaos in both realms, but I think they wouldn't really give a fuck about it.

Stella/Helia: listen. listen. they're both equally dramatic to a certain point. it would be insufferable for everyone else but amazing for them - the endearingly annoying fashionista and the slightly pretentious artist? together? oh my god no one would survive and it would be glorious.

Tecna/Brandon: now here we have a classic nerd/jock pair, and I think it would work decently fine between them - they're somewhat similar in personality. they're absolutely the least strong of the pairs but hey, if it kinda works I'm satisfied lmao.

LOVE the concept. They get together in my thing lol

The “not gonna end well” and “eroticism of attempted murder (exaggerated in this case lol)” comes from them when they first meet. They’ve got a weird beef with each other. Weirdly fixated, mainly Nex though. Roy is pretty chill. Nex starts antagonizing though and Roy has just Gotta take on the challenge.

Them: im just paying extra attention to him because I’m upset he wants Aisha. Absurd, he wouldn’t mesh well with her. I’ll show him.

Them later: I was right. I am upset he wants Aisha because it turns out I want him. He wouldn’t mesh well with her, he would mesh with me. I’ll show him.

In a weird homoerotic competitive limbo for a while, then they figure it out. Don’t really explicitly define what they are for a little while, but they’re together for sure.

Roy is devoted in a very tender and soft way compared to Nex, who’s more emotionally explosive and loudly declarative of his devotion. A warm and cool combo. Roy mellows him out some. Hand holding and flowers alone together vs grand gestures for the world to see and a hold on the others waist. They appreciate the ways the other shows they care.

That doesn’t mean they don’t still compete or take the other up on a challenge though. Playful competition. They push each other to be better and improve in all different aspects in life. I’m very fond.

For Daphne x Valtor, forgive me I don’t think I like Valtor in the same way as much of the fandom seems to.

I view him as slimey, manipulative, sadistic, power tripping, cruel. I love to hate him. I don’t love him in an affectionate “oh my scrungly hot Victorian” way I see a lot of others enjoy him.

I can’t imagine Daphne being interested in him. In canon, she didn’t meet him until Domino was attacked and her family and kingdom was under threat, if she saw him during the attack at all. I don’t vibe with her being into him with that context, not even in a forbidden fruit kind of way.

I can DEFINITELY see him being interested in her though, and that’s something I find simply delicious to explore and play with, especially because I don’t know how much of his interest would be romantic or just a vye for power.

The way he acted towards Bloom in canon always made me uncomfortable. Suave, confident, weird undertones of control and a want to hurt disguised in almost romantic gestures. If that’s how he is with Bloom, the youngest of the dead Dominion Royal Line and holder of The Flame, a holder who barely has a grasp on that supreme power, I can only imagine how he would be towards Daphne, a god bound in flesh, Supreme Nymph of Magix and Heir (a well owned title for her too, unlike Bloom, who hasn’t the skill nor the power in his eyes) to what was considered the most powerful Kingdom in all the magical world.

If they ever met before The Fall of Domino, it would be haughty laughs, snide comments, overconfident gestures, all met with steel and venom.

“Oh, little Nymph, how lovely of you to grace us with your presence on this fine morning. Do you have any plans before the meeting later? I can’t imagine you would say no to a walk with me.”

It’s been days of this. This Summit cannot end soon enough. Finally, she speaks to him directly.

“That is not my name nor my title, and that is not how you will address me. You are bold to presume you know what I would or would not agree to, and that boldness will bring you none of my graces.”

“Oh, to hear your sweet voice directed my way at long last, and with that fiery Dominion spark I’ve heard so much about. You had been so cold towards me for so long I wasn’t even sure you had any of The Dragon Flame in you. Tell me, does that attitude come from The Flame, or is it just your own sense of self importance that ignites a fire in you?”

She sees red. She exhales smoke and embers through her nostrils, her glare sharpens. She turns to leave.

“You forget yourself, homunculus.”

A low blow.

He smirks. She gets to the doors.

“Give it time, I like it when they’re feisty,” she hears him murmur.

She slams the doors behind her.

Combining the two posts talking about ships and the new timeline. Mostly just wanted start by staying I love rarepairs and wanted to change the order of villains and fairy forms.

brandon x thoren, bloom x diaspro, stella x aisha, nabu x riven, sky x chimera, daphne x nereus, icy x triatannus, taea (mirta/tara) x techna, nex x roxy

any suggestions for flora, timmy, helia or roy, feel free to drop them!

Backstory: The ancestral witches messed with the entire magical balance by attacking the Dragon, several planets are on the verge of destruction and the rest of the planets are putting all current resources into maintaining them. Daphne sent Bloom through the magix dimension instead of the solar system which resulted in time distortion. Winx Club is an abandoned club between all eight schools for camaraderie, the meeting room is the only room magically connected to all other schools.

Season 1:

Bloom is discovered by Stella same as canon but when brought to Alfea, and explained Faragonda is nervous whether Bloom is tied to Terra or another off-balance planet. Explains that because of the missing past and link that it’s best they keep Bloom’s origin a secret.

The party is hijacked and Bloom’s secret comes out so the group joins the Winx Club to help tie their relationship tighter: Bloom, Stella, Flora, Techna, Musa, Aisha, Sky, Brandon, Timmy, Helia, Riven, Thoren, Nex, Roy, Mirta, Diaspro, (Chimera, Roxy, Daphne, Nabu later seasons).

Instead of each new aspect + pet coming each seasons we have them mentioned here but not relevant until later in their respective seasons.

Explain all the fairy forms and how one version is more useful depending either on the fairy aspect or the planet that is their guardian planet. (ex: Sirenix is good for water based fairies or water based planets).

Introduce all of the new schools + planets (maybe not this season but one per season or a cameo in season one and expanded in later seasons).

Explain what a nymph is and the difference between a normal fairy.

Introduce multiple magic creatures (creation myth for the planets etc etc) alongside the great dragon.

Main plot of Trix trying to find and capture the Dragon Flame, discover that Bloom has it, army of darkness, etc.

The crushes that start is Bloom x Diaspro, Mirta x Techna.

Season 2:

Fairy animals are now the main plot, similar of evil boss wanting to use the magic to unlock specific types of powers, miniworlds are cut out, everyone gets a fairy animal (name undetermined), and charmix is discussed at earlier point in season.

Trix have been sent to Lightrock but attempt to escape constantly before faking the therapy working, but it did affect Stormy, who now attempts to prove to herself that she is evil to a harder degree.

Different type of wildlands with strange issues, upside down mountains, no magic, too much magic, etc, every arc is at a different wildland focusing on one or two fairy animals.

The wildlands end up with Stella and Aisha developing crushes and then at the after party for defeating BBEG, they confess to each other.

Season 3:

Darkar attacks the pixies and tries to use an artifact to open the dimension and go into the solar system, since he was banished into the dimension.

Mythix is the form focused, using stories and myths of pixies and the creation of the dimension to gain power.

If Darkar opens the solar system, the dimension will shatter and die completely.

Trix join him, and flees before the Winx can capture them.

Romance Plot of Aisha being told of engagement and Stella and her come out about the relationship, at first the parents believe they’re lying to protect Aisha but they realize that they are in love, call off engagement.

Nabu shows up to see why the engagement was called off, and joins the group at this point, him and Riven start a mutual crush.

Palladium x Avalon.

Season 4:

Tritannus attacks the infinite ocean, power from the ties between infinite ocean and other planets.

Trix joins him, but he does go insane via the magic and attacks the Trix several times, almost killing Stormy which pushes her into actually wanting to change herself and runs from the Trix to Lightrock.

Romance of King Radius and Cassandra, Stella helps romance this time, and her and Chimera bond over the issues of the infinite ocean.

Sky develops crush on Chimera.

Daphne is rescued and crush on Nereus.

Season 5:

The magic between the infinite ocean and terra’s connection (pillar? Tether? etc), restarts the magic of Terra, letting the frozen time bubble on the dark circle wizards pop, and start the hunt for the last Terra fairy, who they think is the infant princess of the limbo’d fairies in Tir Na Nog, who spent centuries healing their wings.

Believix is the fairy form focused on Terra magic, still the wings of (maybe?): speedix (speed enhancement), Zoomix (teletransportation), Tracix (time traveling), Lovix: Gift of Heart, Sophix: Gift of Wisdom

Nex develops crush on Roxy.

Nabu doesn’t die from the wizards but instead falls into a coma and Riven takes him to his home for healing.

Season 6:

Selina discovers her witch magic, becomes obsessive with cursed book, attends Cloudtower.

Icy and Darcy reenter the school with fake identities and replaces Stormy with Selina to make a new Witches Trio.

Takes over the school and almost kills Griffin which gets them sent to Omega Dimension.

Fairy Form Focus is Enchantix, now about being a guardian fairy. At this point is the highest form.

Riven returns a few episodes in, and mentions Nabu healing and recovering and prob several mentions and hints.

Season 7:

Valtor’s new backstory, Trix find him at Omega, wakes him up and he attempts to steal magic of planets, and stars in the solar system.

Fairy Form Focus is Winx, basically redid Bloomix, dragon flame magic. New highest form.
