I just finished your Magnum Opus, and it was super great. I especially loved the Pinkie chapter (which surprised me because she’s my least favorite character!). Anyway, do you have any mlp fic recommendations?

oh boy do i have a list for you, strap in!

if you read my magnum opus writeup, you may have seen i mentioned three authors that dragged me back into mlp. if you're interested in sciset (and what's probably the most popular eqg fic on the entire site), Long Road to Friendship by Albi is a longfic that started after the first eqg movie and is a rlly lighthearted read. i don't normally care for OCs but gosh if i dont accept Albi's version of trixie's parents as canon in my heart haha. if you're interested in pony adventure fic, i also rlly liked Sunset of Time, another rlly well done longfic ive carried in my brain since i first read it xd

the second author, Monochromatic, aka the raritwi authority aka someone who has a GREAT taste in editors, has written three of the most formative longfic ive ever read: The Enchanted Library, its sequel The Enchanted Kingdom, and Crimson Lips which i unfortunately can no longer link since she's taken it down, but i believe you can still buy physically through PFP if you wanted to take a gamble on it (it would be a very good gamble). apart from her longfic though i also adore some of her shorter works, including but not limited to The Choices We Make, a really interesting Pinkie study that's definitely shaped how i view her, Your Own Worst Enemy, which is just. peak rarity content, and Injuring Eternity, which while being one of her older works still has certain passages that wreck me emotionally on sight.

and the third author responsible for my magnum opus is the one and only Aragon, who i can not only recommend for his fics but ALSO for his blog posts and comics (see the comic index on his profile for links to all of them, as well as this amazing blogpost about his neighbour that is just peak comedy). he's also the writer responsible for the banger longfic Crime and Funishment which absolutely defined my writing aspirations for a few years and is the definition of comedy if you looked it up in my heart, as well as In Hindsight, yet another banger rarity fic, and Love Is In Doom which is just bloody, silly, stupid fun (and has sunset shimmer in it)

and then if we want to talk fics i love written by other authors, Sleepless Knights by r5h has my favourite brand of scitwi written right into the margins, Administrative Angel by horizon has one of the most amazing endings to an opening chapter ive ever read AND an amazing celestia, The Best Night Ever by Capn_Chryssalid is a fandom classic with a groundhog day twist on the gala episode from s1, Side by Side by Krickis is a feel-good rarijack oneshot w a focus on lgbt (specifically trans) themes, Wax Earplugs by Reedhoarse has a dysfunctional mess of an adagio dazzle that i adore, Merge Request by FanOfMostEverything has all the scitwi/midnight shenanigans you could ask for wrapped up in the relatable content of github hell, Guppy Love by PaulAsaran is a rarijack longfic with an incredibly realistic setting and an interpretation of mermaids that i love so much, Doused Flame by heartlessons has me handshaking on the "sopping wet pathetic relatable guy" flash sentry interpretation that won me over recently, 80 Days 'Til the World's Farthest Shore by Cynewulf feels like reading a professionally published short story (and i mean that in the best of ways, it's enthralling), and finally if you'll allow me to be self-centred a bit i also am very proud of my two oneshots Heartstrings and Something About Midnights if you wanted to check em out too xd

Schumacher and Button slip into friendly banter about this year’s WDC, and despite himself, Ayrton’s mind is distracted elsewhere. It’s caught up trying to trace the trajectory of Rosberg’s gaze. The better one (aka, not Keke). The disco lights make it a hassle for Ayrton to figure out what's gotten Nico’s knickers in a twist but this is his territory after all. So what would usually take him a few seconds to put two and two together, takes him a few minutes. 

It’s a moppy look, Ayrton thinks, and for his sake and that of anyone and everyone that had to put up with him back in the day, he hopes he wasn’t this down bad.

This is about the time his inner monologue would go: You’re fooling no one Ayrton.

With a light smile on his face, he approaches the barstool Nico has had his ass planted on since the start of the party. It isn’t until he’s within a 1-metre radius of the blond when details hit his mind like tetris blocks. He can practically hear the wineglass’s cries of agony, what with the way Rosberg’s fingers are snaked around them in a vise-like grip, all white from the pressure and Senna’s surprised he went this long without breaking it five minutes into the party. Or, after Lewis arrived with a girl in his arms.

With a soft ahem to clear his throat, he claps on Nico’s shoulders, calling him in a way he hopes is casual. Nothing I’m sorry your man is fucking up, I know how it feels “And how’s my favourite Rosberg tonight?”

Under his palms, he feels the tautness of his shoulders melt. 

“I’m glad I could win the position. It was a real tough competition with my dad,” he tries to deadpan. Tries being the keyword, because his voice doesn’t sport the extra decibel of calm  it does when he’s not overworking his brain with maybes and what-ifs, Ayrton notices.

“Oh I bet,” Ayrton humours him, before continuing a smidge softer, “he kept looking at you, y’know?”

Nico scoffs before throwing Ayrton’s own words back at him, “Oh, I bet.”

Sighing, Ayrton turns to face him completely. If the recessed lighting from the mirrorball was an excuse for not reading the room quite right before, the proximity does the job when he’s greeted with his-usually bright eyes droopy. From what, he knows all too well. Something something pot calling the kettle black.

“Look, hey,” he starts, “it’ll be-”

“Save it.” 

He does. 

He still remembers meeting Keke’s son in the holidays. “Nico” he’d enunciated the name, who was only 7 at the time, had been ecstatic. Apparently, meeting Senna was his birthday present (alongside the Ariel Atom 4, which he only later discovered). 

The image is as clear as if it were yesterday. Hell, he practically sees it flash before his eyes like some movie.

Wide eyes and flushed cheeks had accompanied the kid’s remark, “One day, I want to be like you.”

He’d smiled at that, all warm and soft. The way he only did with children.

“Shush, see your old gramps over there?” he pointed at the older version of the little blond he kneeled down next to, “He’s going to be a petty little shit and give me hard time come next race,”

Little Rosberg (or the Better Rosberg, as Ayrton would rather say) chuckled, and Keke smacked Ayrton’s head lightly, warning him, “Don’t curse around him, motherfixer.”

“Aw, look, you're finally turning into a dad! The ‘92 Rosberg could never,” 

His face softened, “He could never.”

“If someone ever told me you’d be the one to get into the role of the mushy father the first out of all of us back then, I would have laughed in their face,”

Keke’s own chuckle resounded across the waters of Lake Como, “That’s the only valid response I suppose. Which is still better ‘cause I’d have punched them, trust me,”

“Absolutely zero qualms about it,” 

The telltale rays of crimson kissed the waters at long last.

And then, in a voice that’s all too soft, he said with a weird look on his face, “And I’m glad I can say that now.”

Thud sounds the push to the chair that precedes Nico’s evasion and brings Ayrton back to Beleza and while inherently, he knows that if words had human counterparts, Nico’s would be “prudent”, he also knows a thing or two about unrequited longing himself.

I try to sleep about seven hours a night but sometimes I sleep 8 but I couldn’t do anything less unless absolutely necessary I physically could not lose a day of beauty rest of it would ruin me

Friends….all pretty diverse actually and there are several different personalities.. I’ll give you my ride or dies so okay we All went to an alternative school not because we had disciplinary problems but because we had different problems that made normal schools challenging. Like I for example have dyslexia and ADD. Anyway my best friends and I sorta bonded over this and I’ve been friends with Elton since grade five and we still keep in touch even now but he decided to go to college and I did not he’s a literal fashion icon and the sweetest smartest cinnamon roll you could meet but if he’s not doing his work you need to get on him because he procrastinates like crazy. So now we only see each other on weekends. Kaleb on the other hand went overseas and we FaceTime every morning except Sundays because of church and she’s really into anime and I can’t tell you much about that stuff except the seven deadly sins is better than demon slayer and bleach is something Kaleb rewatchs every few weeks so you best expect that it’s going to be playing when you visit but my life really doesn’t have interesting drama thank goodness. (No offence starshine👀)

I love to spend my weekends exploring I used to hike a lot but Arc is not a fan of the outdoors though we’ve found he has a knack for gardening and does very good on the family farm he just really doesn’t see the point and I don’t really blame him I suppose it’s not for everyone and I know Arc is more of a moon person. Yes actually we do go to museums and no I wouldn’t ever get mad at him for that we all have our off days

Yes and yes but ours is not the same so it’s good to keep of communication in our relationship so we stay afloat. We really haven’t had any problems though as words of affirmation is something Arc is good at unknowingly because of his poetry addiction and I’ve always been a really touchy person

My favorite thing about dating Arc is his ability to express himself though body language for example we’re at a party I don’t have a ask in front of everyone if he’s tired from all the human interaction he just shows it with expressions or posture..or whatever he chooses to convey but I never have to ask. This can be a problem on the small occasion that I can’t see him because I cannot rely on him to tell me because I usually know.

We’re people pleasers and that’s one of things we sorta bonded over when we first met we feel horrible égéen if the thing wasn’t our problem or responsibility because it made whoever upset. We don’t have very good people skills I’m overbearing and him not enough which has lead a lot of people to sorta stay away unless of course you’re also like us. I’ve found that we both share an appreciation of art mine is more in fashion design and makeup while his is writing and visual sorta stuff

If you don't mind, what are your favourite Headcanons of the ship between Jack Archer and Lars Douglas? (aka Jars)

Lars confessed first. Obviously, he had to do it through either a song or a joke. It's Lars ffs.

Jack accidentally started using Lars' Australian vocabulary in his everyday speech at some point.

It took the triplets a while to transition from calling Jack "Uncle Jack" to calling him "Dad".

They don't want to have any more kids. The triplets are enough, especially once they reach their teen years.

Speaking of the triplets, one of the kids had another kid say to them, "My dad could beat up your dad," and the triplet replied, "Which one?". (Tbh it was probably May)

Both of them get distracted while driving, hence why they end up in some strange places with no clue how they got there.

Ever since they moved in together, Jack has been finding a lot more glitter in his clothes and hair.

Before they moved in though, date nights were mostly dinner and a movie at Lars' place so they could spend more time with the kids without leaving them home alone (which would be absolute chaos)

They would totally get a dog.

Thanks Michelle! Choosing five fics was like trying to choose a favourite child which is to say, it's impossible. Okay, that's a lie, my favourite child is the one who is not sucking the life from my soul at any given moment. Yesterday both of my kids got a turn - first my youngest, because he very sweetly packed me a little fun size Crunchie bar from his personal stash of lollies and brought it to the movies for me and kept checking whether I'd eaten it yet and if I liked it. But then later he was being so loud I couldn't think, so his older sister became my favourite child because she told him to be quiet. Anyway, I'm turning into one of those recipe bloggers who can't give a recipe without sharing their whole life's story, so here is my list of fics I'm proud of in which I absolutely cheat by sharing some fic series:

I'm really so proud of this lawyer AU! I had an absolute blast writing these fics and I think it shows in my writing - it's definitely some of my best. What, like it's hard? is the first really substantial long fic I've ever written and that in itself was a challenge but the snarky rivarly between Alex and Henry is just so fun to write! Whenever I see comments roll in on these fics it just makes me smile so hard to see other people enjoying them

Soon (Tarlos)

PWP but make it bite-sized (aka 37, 100-word chapters). This started as a drabble but then I got the slightly unhinged idea to continue the fic in drabbles (ie precisely 100 words at a time). Was it a challenge to write only 100 words and make sure each chapter told enough of the story in so few words? Yes. Did I have so much fun edging Carlos and the fandom alongside him? Also yes.

artist!David unwittingly helps Patrick find himself and finds love along the way. This one is a little different in style to my usual writing, and I really leaned into the slightly more poetic style in the second part which I actually structured around a poem.

A 5+1 exploring TK's relationship with love and self-worth. I don't usually write much angst but I dove into it for this one and I like how it turned out! Don't worry, it has a happy ending, I'm incapable of writing anything else!

aka my Tarlos gym AU - each of these fics (Let's Get Physical, Let Me Hear Your Body Talk, I gotta handle you just right) stands alone as a one-shot but they are part of a planned seven-part series which contains an actual plot, despite the way they read like pwp. The thing I'm most proud of in these fics though, is the coding - with a big assist from @celeritas2997, I learned to code well enough to embed actual instagram posts and DMs with photos in these fics, which for someone who is absolutely not a STEM girlie, is a very big deal.

I LOVED THE MUSIC! a dystopian reflection of our reality through intentional use of folk/bluegrass music is something that resonates strongly with me. i mean, they knew how to strike the right chord in the hearts of book readers for sure! *the only other thing i wish was different about the music it's the variety of tempo and rhythm because as much as i LOVED the unified sound of LG's songs, i would prefer each song to have its own individual tune and ~aura)

my absolute favourite adaptation that they did was 'nothing you can take from me' (boot-stompin’ version); i am utterly in awe of the powerful passionate energy that they gave to this song?? also i loveeed the similarity of rhythm and tone between 'nothing you can take from me' and a traditional american folk song 'man of constant sorrow', i kinda feel it was a deliberate parallel which worked just great. (also i’m glad they added maude ivory’s 'keep on the sunny side'!)

my least favourite is perhaps 'the ballad of lucy gray baird'?.. and though i did enjoy rachel’s rendition (she copies a young dolly parton in such a warm-hearted respectful manner!), and the respect for traditional appalachian music, she sang it in a cheerful 'to hell with you!' manner which is less intense and intimate that i remember it from the book to be? to quote tbosas here: 'the haunting melody set the tone, and her words did the rest as she began to sing in a voice husky from smoke and sadness' – the movie version really failed to capture both the haunting tune (their version doesn't really tell the story musically because of a major key) and the lucy gray's vulnerability here for me. in the book she did what carrie fisher told us all to do: 'take your broken heart and turn it into art' while in the movie she isn't even angry at billy taupe?? like his betrayal (and her place in the games) is not a big deal? she's openly rebellious and sassy with out of place 'i need no man' attitude and that simply didn't work for me personally.

it took some time for 'pure as the driven snow' to grow on me (i expected it to be more of a waltz-like, similar to maiah wynne's cover), but i'm coming around to it. yet… i wish it was STAGED differently??? they had to combine certain scenes and songs in the film but it was such a SURREAL idea to meld PATDS with 'sell you for a song' setting? and it took away so much from that moment of love and connection and unconditional acceptance, where lucy gray is finally ready to be emotionally unshielded in front of her lover (maybe for the first time ever)?? it was a PIVOTAL snowbaird moment but they needed to blend two songs together because obviously PATDS can't be love confession in form of a song because it should be taken as an ominous warning instead (duh!). 'bitch you better not turn out to be a bad guy even tho i knew you were a villain all along' :??? and it could've worked in its own angst-y way, if there had been any development in snowbaird love story?? but since movie!they are full on survival the whole time (there's no canonical teetering on the edge of an actual fondness/love and survival instinct), PATDS makes no sense at all. so… i extremely frustrated by the use of PATDS on screen but at the same time i love the sound of the full version on the soundtrack album.

annnd i'm actually IN PAIN because they had the audacity to leave so many songs out?? especially given their ties to the original trilogy?? 'deep in the meadow' aka rue's song???? 'the valley song' aka the one peeta mentioned seeing katniss sing at school when they were children????  the festive 'crawling to you' ('that thing i love with') likely performed at finnick’s wedding?? idk maybe it's a musical nerd who is speaking in me but i wish they could have included more of the book songs at least on the album, if not in the actual movie (even tho i'm still sure, it would've been possible to present the whole complexity of this book AND its poetic side too, if they decided to split the film in two).

Soooo... I'm actually one of those people who can't just tell you ONE favourite thing. If you ask me about my favourite movie, I'll shorten the list to ten and will cry because I left something I love outside. Oops, I guess.

Beside some self-deprecation, I'm still very please with this fanart of Aisling and Dorian looking outside the window.

I know you don't appreciate much Crossovers, Mo and way too many people around, but the chance to put together two things I love... I would never tackle fanfiction if I didn't have something mine to put it (that's why I started writing fic with Dragon Age, which is based on the "Create your own character" basic), so this was my chance at tackling Tolkien lore which I absolutely adore and has been part of my life ever since I was a little bean.

There's also a fic which is basically LOTR... But with Dragon Age Characters (taking advantage of the fact that in the book nothing much is seen of Mordor... I slipped everyone there and I promise it makes more sense x°D)

2. Something that was challenging to create

Everything concerning Raina, which you can now find in this convenient folder I'll fill little by little on AO3.

I... Accidentally tackled too many things that strikes close to home with her, and writing her is basically something similar to a therapy session. The current thing I'm working on is proving difficult.

But I'll say this official portrait of her, just for the fact that I tried a new way of colouring (thanks to @ndostairlyrium forever and ever for the tips and tricks) and everything was new and challenging. The amount of times I cursed myself for putting a background! xD

3. Something that makes you laugh

You see, Mo, I am very unable to choose just one thing. If you ask me what's my favourite movie, I can shorten my list to 10. I'll give you three.

The Bi Cullen series. I should do another one, I just have to finish it, but this is close to my heart. Because bi panic and science bros.

This little exploration in the Mythal Temple, full with very necessary Indiana Jones and Emperor's New Groove quotes.

And last but not least, the one and only Haunting Queen, Doris the Rage Demon who lives in Cullen and Aisling's stove and is deeply in love with Cullen... And also very jealous. It's jealousy, it's not Aisling that doesn't know how to cook.

4. Something that surprised you (in how it turned out, how much other people liked it, etc.)

Ok, for this I have 2:

Home Was Never on the Ground aka the Monster fic. It's my first attempt at fanfiction and the first prose I had written in YEARS. I thought of an anthology of moments missed in game, or expansions of scenes I liked. I am honestly surprised by the amount of hits it got and even if I see flaws, I like my baby.

One for the Road. Aka. Fenris/Lavellan 2 chapter fic. I wrote it as a divertissement, it ended up to be extra angsty... And I sincerely thought I had totally misinterpreted Fenris here. I remember being so nervous when posting it that I actually considered keeping it for myself. And instead, it was received well?

5. Something you want other people to see

On this I'm more sure! (well.)

My little joy is the DadWolf AU which you can find here. Basically, a Modern AU following the events of DA2 and Inquisition... With something changed.

Namely, Solas woke up 30 years before, and he and Varric were roommates. And they co-parent my Inquisitor, Aisling, and Dorian who are actually science bros. It's something that brings me joy in doing, there's nothing written as per yet save some prompts but it will be!

Also one fanart I'm very very attached to is this one which was done in collaboration with @ndostairlyrium (I drew it, she coloured it), and which now guards me from my wall when I work in my studio.

In case you all were still wondering yes, I'm wordy. I know it's a surprise.

what are your favourite horror movies

what a question to ask me lol. ohhhkay, strap in.

(please note that when you ask me "favourite", that means you get favourite regardless of quality. and you get no tv shows or any such things, strictly movies)

(btw i haven't actually seen that many horror films. many of the iconic franchises especially - chucky, elm street, scream, friday the 13th, texas chainsaw massacre, what have you - just never piqued my interest. maybe some day)

1. hellraiser franchise

my working theory is that all "hellraiser" movies are bad movies, but for different reasons. the og from 1987 is a bad movie because it was made on a budget of ten pounds and a packet of crisps. hellraiser 8 is bad because its plot is about a group of teens obsessed with a hellraiser video game getting murdered at a weird sex party. these two are not the same

that being said, i love these movies very much (except for hellraiser 10. i hate hellraiser 10 and will never ever watch it ever again, thank you. no reason) and love to look at pinhead and his many cenobite buddies doing weird kinky shit <3

2. halloween movies (only 1978 and the green trilogy from 2018 onwards)

i haven't seen any of the other ones because i was introduced to the series by my very good friend miri aka @asylos, who showed me those four and no others. and i was like okay :D and just never watched the rest because i don't consume media unless prompted

i'm a basic bitch, i see a man in a jumpsuit and get gender envy, so og twink michael delights me. that being said, old man michael from the green trilogy? CHEF'S KISS. love that fucker. he's the best

3. anything del toro

a lot of his films don't really stay within the constraints of a single genre, but they definitely contain horror elements. my favourite is "the shape of water", which has its moments but is overall not that scary. the pale man from "pan's labyrinth" made quite the impression on me when i first saw the movie because while i had seen the iconic shot of him raising his hands to reveal the Palm Eyes before, i was unaware of the fact that that fucker gets up and shambles around and i was Not Okay with that

crimson peak is very pretty and i love it. for obvious reasons, i think

4. willy's wonderland

nic cage night janitor animatronic murder fight bonanza my beloved. like honestly, i watched the fnaf movie yesterday and it had zero good cleaning montages, wasn't as funny and had fewer bangers, music-wise, than willy's does. like what's the fuckin point

5. fright night 2011

this film has david tennant in it and that's why i watched it. apart from him being an absolutely show-stealing delight, the rest of the film is also a fun romp. there's vampires and stuff

6. bad samaritan

this film ALSO has david tennant in it. he's doing an american accent (a way better one than in "gracepoint", a show that you should Not watch. just watch "broadchurch" instead please, i promise you're not missing anything) and is playing a rich asshole obsessed with horses who abducts and kills women. also he throws a phone out of a car window at two separate occasions and it cracks me up

the main character is played by some actor whose name i can never remember. he's irish or something and i think he might have been in one of those pieces of media i haven't consumed. umbrella academy? was he klaus in umbrella academy? who's klaus?? is klaus FROM umbrella academy? who knows

anyway, the film is a thriller and i quite like watching it. it's tense with zero unnecessary padding, it knows what it's here for and delivers

7. the thing 1982 + 2011

another one i watched with miri. miri likes to show me horror films (and tv shows) a lot <3 we watched both the og and the new one and i quite liked them! the dog in the 82 one is really really good at his job. i highkey struggle with big groups of characters bc i can't remember names and faces for shit, so i was reeeally bad at spotting the Thing. also i liked the teeth thing from the 2011 one that was smart

8. bunny lake is missing

does this count as a horror movie? idk, but i'm putting it here

9. psycho

it's pretty good. i liked it. i think norman would have been a tumblr sexyman if such a thing had existed in the 1960s

10. the one hour long space horror segment trapped in the middle of otherwise meandering artfilm "2001: a space odyssey"

11. alien

classic. i haven't seen any of the others apart from "aliens" because the internet said they were bad

12. the abyss

veers closer to sci-fi than horror, but i'm counting it bc it sure is tense. this is a film by james cameron about *checks smudged handwriting* some underwater diving alien nonsense or something. idk, it's been a while since i've watched it. another movie with a big group of characters i can't tell apart for shit, which is why i'm always rooting for some of them to start dying already

i watched this one because i unfortunately am doing a handshake meme with jimmy cameron labelled "hello i am obsessed with the ocean" and unlike me, he has the money to make really long epic films about it

13. the haunting 1963

this is a movie adaptation of "the haunting of hill house" by shirley jackson. it's very good! (if you're familiar with flanagan's netflix show, there are some parts of this movie that will be... quite familiar)

i watched this one with miri, followed immediately by the 1999 remake (?), which i found very strange and occasionally hilarious because of cgi that hasn't stood the test of time. also, i'd like it to be put on record that i fuckin CALLED the thing about the fireplace (somehow lol)

14. rocky horror picture show

my parents showed me this movie when i was maybe a bit too young to see it, at a point in my life where i hadn't quite figured out yet that i was various shades of queer. it sure made an Impression

many years later, i finally got around to watching the sequel, "shock treatment" (thanks to miri, of course) which is very different but also a good time, and has some bangers of its own!

Ooof, I honestly don’t even know, probably Fred and Sprotte from the Wilde Hühner films when I was like 10? But the first ship I truly shipped and started reading fanfic for (still on ff.net, I think??) was probably Lexie/Mark from Grey’s Anatomy when I was 13 or so years old – also shout-out to that show for making me learn English cause I couldn’t wait for the German dub to come out to watch the new episodes, so megavideo in English with English subtitles (if I was lucky) it was…

I’m listening to music while writing this out and the song currently playing is the Chinese version of Fade by Jeff Satur (to no one’s surprise to anyone who’s ever read my Kinnporsche fics and my shameless use of his lyrics for my titles…). I do swimming as a sport and I've won 3 medals in races, but I stopped racing a while ago and just do swimming for fun now. how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

I never really put much thought into it; it just sorta happened 😅

I’ve always been an avid daydreamer, and it seemed like the moment I learned how to spell and read, I started writing. It was a way to make the mental images in my mind a reality of sorts, and make them physical and real—things I could actually look at and see.

So it was the same way with fanfiction, more or less! I wanted to make the things I saw in my mind a thing I could see on a page, so I started writing :) And that’s still how it works to this day!

on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?

Hmm… I feel like I used to like editing a lot more than I do now. I’d probably give it… a 4? A 5, maybe?

Spell checking and grammar checking are easy for me, and it’s kinda fun to go through and fix little things like that :) It’s the more thought-provoking things such as reworking sentence structure, cleaning up paragraphs, and making sure the text flows together that’s much harder to figure out. I guess I don’t feel like I’m all that great of a judge when it comes to my own work; I either see a story as bad and something that can’t be fixed, or as something ground-breaking with no corrections needed. And I feel like both of those are Not Good, and don’t help me edit at all.

I’d definitely enjoy editing a lot more if I felt like I had a good grasp on what I could actually do to improve a story 😅

what stops you from writing more in your free time? 

I don’t feel like writing 😅

I’m very much a feeler, and if I don’t feel like doing something, I’m probably not gonna do it—at least not willingly. And the same goes for writing! I absolutely love doing it, but I gotta wait until I’m in the right headspace for it, y’know? And I’m just not always in that wonderful headspace.

Honestly, the only ship I really have are Loki x Sylvie! I’ve fallen hard and fast for those two :)

A headcanon, hmm… oh! Sylvie would absolutely love horror movies, and always wanna go see the new ones in theaters. Loki, on the other hand, is very much afraid and disturbed by horror (though he’ll never ever admit it, even when it becomes painfully obvious to Everyone).

She makes fun of him relentlessly, while he stubbornly denies being scared at all. She finds it equally annoying and endearing XD

“Technoblade, look! It’s Friend!”


“I’ve looked at Friend like, seventeen different times, Ghostbur. You keep telling me to look at him.”

There’s a pause.

“Technoblade, Technoblade! Aww, look at Friend! He’s very happy right now. If he could speak English, that’s what he would say.”

Techno shakes his head, trying very hard to focus on the potion he’s brewing.

Aka, Techno’s patience is tested severely and continuously when Ghostbur decides to visit XD

Their relationship is very sweet, because Ghostbur loves Techno and always wants to help him out, and Techno clearly cares about Ghostbur and wants to protect him, but at the same time… Ghostbur is definitely one to test patience XD And exploring that dynamic is super fun!

what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Hmm… I’ve definitely been sort of… morbidly interested in drowning. I’ve researched a ton on that.

Random, but morbid is a very fun word to say XD

what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Definitely the ones talking about the characters being in-character :D It’s pretty much my biggest fear that I’ll mischaracterize people, so hearing people say that the opposite is true is just… really great :D :D

And also the comments talking about how the story affected them!! Like, there’s been several people who have CRIED because of my fics?? Which is just insane to me. Every time I get a comment saying that I do this but with more hearts:

The fact that my writing can touch people so deeply is incredible :’D

is there a piece of media that inspires your writing? 

Dream SMP 😅 I’ve been pretty much exclusively writing fanfic for this fandom since June of last year—and the story ideas just keep coming lol

But I did get a little inspired by the Loki series just recently :)

Here’s my dog, Ginger:

That last picture is one of my favorites of her :’)

Ginger is absolutely the sweetest dog I’ve ever known; she’s a very sleepy girl who gets so very excited whenever we return home after being out for errands and such. She’ll do anything for food (especially broccoli and butter) and has yet to catch a squirrel (though she’s never stopped trying).

She’s definitely an introverted dog, and gets overwhelmed pretty easily in loud/crowded environments. She also wasn’t socialized much as a puppy, so she struggles to interact with other dogs 😭

She’s deathly afraid of hula-hoops and freaking hates baths/swimming lol

She’s the best dog ever <3 She just turned eight, and I can’t imagine what life will be like without her. She’s very special :’)

Then there is Miles (who’s currently in the bed with me as I type)

All these pictures are from completely different days XD He sleeps a lot.

I’ve got a bit of a love-hate relationship with this boy. He’s an extremely mean cat—in fact, just a couple days ago he attacked Ginger for no reason and scratched her nose! He has it out for her (for some unknown reason. She’d never hurt a fly so I don’t know what he’s on about).

He’s also very fussy, and if he’s not fed at a specific time every day, he’ll get mad and start crying/biting/scratching XD He’s super high maintenance.

He’s… very. very lazy. He is not a skinny boy.

I don’t like him too much most of the time, but sometimes—like in the pictures shown above—he gets softer, and will come up to my bed and curl up and purr and make biscuits with his paws. He’s very very cute when he does that.

what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

NSFW/sexual content, for sure. I’ve never read a smut fic and never will 😅 I’ve got no interest in that sort of thing.

As far as smaller things go, it’d be…

1) poor formatting, with big blocks of text instead of line breaks

2) mischaracteriztion. This is a big thing for me when it comes to fanfic; if you’re gonna make the characters so blatantly unrecognizable, just come up with your own characters!!

3) badddd dialogue. This is a big pet peeve of mine XD I am a lover of realistic/natural dialogue mmhmm mmhmm
