O Titan, Where Art Thou

This was… Weirdly, the calm before the storm. A breather episode, if you will; A final deep breath to gather ourselves, a last break for fun and relief, before we get into our final two episodes of this season. And I appreciate that… Letting the cast acknowledge that they’re people and that they’re up against the literal end of the world. They’ve got so much to handle and so it leads to a desperate sense of control this episode…

Hence Luz and Eda going for Francois; Eda especially, because she doesn’t have a plan! She doesn’t know what to do and it makes sense, she’s not an invincible protagonist and if she was, she stopped being that after season 1! So seeing her at least try to get some semblance of a plan by helping King… OH MY TITAN! MY HEART!

(Also that meta joke about how if they had twenty more days –aka episodes- they’d be taking a proper break… Were the writers serious about a potential beach day? Is this what the writers were referring to when joking about castles on the sand? Pfft. But also I will forever loathe Disney for this…)

LUZ! The way Luz was so HURT and betrayed and wanted to help! The parallel to Willow earlier this episode, who also felt underestimated and belittled despite good intentions, wanting to prove herself! How Luz always was afraid of being seen as not a real witch, as too weak, a burden; Hence Separate Tides! How Luz wants to HELP this time and the lack of communication leads to Luz and Eda almost being captured… Because this show, it emphasizes communication! It’s saying that adults aren’t perfect but they try, but they gotta be honest to their kids! The way Luz is just like Eda in trying to find a way to help… And Eda realized that when Raine brought it up, how Raine had to communicate with Eda finally to settle things!

THE BATTS! Or should I say… The CATTS! That’s such a meaningful switch to ‘Covens’ and I’m wondering if Raine deliberately named it after Luz, that’d be so cute! And Luz and Raine being so excited to meet each other… I SCREAMED in frustration when Terra cut them off, but they were five steps ahead as always, getting Luz AND Eda! Thank you Raine so much… I was SO scared for a cliffhanger so when the writers made sure we heard Eda first, my relief! And the way Luz was ready to bust out of that prison carriage spells ablazing, as a callback to Young Blood, Old Souls… Just the callbacks, Luz wanting to help and not be a burden, Eda wanting to look after her kids, she doesn’t see Luz as WEAK, it’s just that no kid, no matter how strong, should ever be a part of this!

And I love how Eda throws salt at Lilith when it turns out that ‘safe trip’ to the Titan Trappers was actually dangerous. I love how Eda just CARES for her kids so much! Darius… My man, freaking out over the embarrassing name! Guess we know now that Darius was a rebel the whole time with Eberwolf… And STEVE! He looks like Mattholomule, IS HE HIS OLDER BROTHER?!?! And that’s how Mattholomule got a map to the Looking Glass Graveyard when the covenscouts were looking for one, because Steve was a part of the effort and had insider information!? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CONFIRM DANA-

King! I love how this episode follows up on how a revelation like this hits HARD. This episode, again, follows through on how character feelings and reactions to major events matter, they DO need to cope because they’re people! The way King realizes he got what he wants, the way Steve did too, Steve being a freaking biker which is a symbol of freedom… King recognizing Steve and thus trusting him a bit for being at Lilith’s party! I love it. The cinematography of that little caterpillar with the toy Steve made of King… King got what he wanted! I remember analyzing how he no longer wanted to be powerful and a ruler beforehand! And the show acknowledged and remembered!

And I love it, the show doesn’t brush past how King wanted to be and thought of himself as that for so long! Just the idea of how people can change and so do their wishes, as they grow… King having the chance to actually seize this Titan persona, but instead turns away from it at a critical point, instead of letting himself think he’s a chosen one like Luz did! Because unlike Luz, he DOES have that kind of backing… But he still just wants to be a little kid! Dammit I want an adventure of him and Hunter bonding over being raised as chosen ones only to realize that’s a lie, and not wanting that anyhow… But no time for that because of Disney!

King also DID get connected to the Collector, who seems aware of him… Well he and King interact soon via dreams? Does the Collector know of the baby Titan? For a moment I was scared, when I saw Steve take King near the castle, that he was sent by Belos to collect; But no he’s good! And there’s something so melancholy about seeing all of these people travel and head to the Day of Unity… This great pilgrimage. This feeling of leaving home, just as our protagonists had to leave the Owl House. They don’t know they’re walking to their deaths, and what they leave behind… It feels so eerily empty.

When that guard talks about the day AFTER the Day of Unity… Oh boy. It hits that people believe there’s gonna be more after this. It hits when Luz is desperate and screams about Belos being a witch hunter hoping people will listen, you just feel the HOPELESSNESS of it all! But amidst the despair you stay strong, and there can be hope… Hope! THAT’s what this episode is all about! Hope, and after thinking there might be no future for witches, Luz realizes there can be; And she’s going to make sure of it, hence carving her Palisman and deciding her future!

DAMMIT DANA DON’T LEAVE US ON THAT CLIFFHANGER!!! Next episode… NEXT episode we’re gonna get that damn palisman and see what it is, the name, analyze the symbolism! And Lilith… Missing the forest for the trees as always, paying attention to the lore of King over King himself! I love how King actually calls out that Lilith is repeating a pattern of latching onto authority figures to worship and venerate, she’s still healing from the abuse of most of her life! It’s just the little character details… And Hooty, flying like a helicopter. And the TEETH inside of him… King and Amity had to see that, yikes. But our protagonists, everyone’s finally coming together, and soon we might see the CATTs meet up with the Hexside rebellion!

…Man. You think the Hexside kids told their parents about what’s going on, hoping they won’t go? How many will listen? Will Perry? Gilbert, Harvey… Alador, Odalia? And by the way, I appreciate that sweet touch of the two old ladies in love… WLW for the particularly elderly, this show’s casual rep! AND LUZ AND LILITH AND HOOTY HAVE THEIR OWN WANTED POSTERS I’M SO PROUD IF ONLY EDA SAW… But then again, as this episode shows us; You get what you wanted when you didn’t want it.

I appreciate this calm before the storm. It’s all been just a lot lately, so I appreciate the consideration to let the audience rest and reflect, as well as the characters, before the end.

I made fan art for @tunafishprincess ' The Owl House AU, called The Wolf House. Go check them out. This AU is really interesting.

In their AU, Eda is head of the potion coven and the leader of a secret rebellion. They haven't made a design for their Eda yet, so I decided to give it a try. They don't have to use the design I made, I just did this for fun and because I like the AU.

Wolf House Eda's design was based slightly on some of her concept art. I also put a bit more gold and yellow in her design, since yellow is the color of the potion symbol. I also had an idea that maybe when she does rebellion stuff, she wears a disguised just in case. Maybe she calls her rebellion group the owls or something. However, unlike the BATTs or the CATTs, the owls don't stand for anything. Eda just likes owls.

There wasn't much written about her or how the coven system, so I'm gonna put some ideas here. Again, @tunafishprincess does not have to use them, this is their AU, I'm just suggesting some things I think might work.

Since Empress Llorona, aka Camila, is against humans in this world and not witches, I don't think she would feel a need for the sigils or have the coven system be as strict as it is in canon.

So, I think Eda would still be allowed to use and love to use all types of magic. She is just the best at potion magic.

I also feel like Empress Llorona is a good leader for the most part. Again, she's against humans, not witches, so I don't see her being unnecessarily cruel. So I imagine Eda actually did look up to and trust her until somehow, she found the portal door and entered the human world.

That's when she realized what the Empress says about humanity isn't true, and thus, she starts the rebellion in secret while still acting as a loyal coven head.

I also like the idea that she is still somewhat of a mentor figure to Luz. And since Camila still loves her in this AU, this might make Eda one of her favorite coven heads. This might also make Camila feel legit betrayal if she finds out Eda is a rebellion leader.

I also like the idea of Eda being married to Raine in this AU. Or in pretty much any reality. Because I want them to be happy.

These are all the ideas I have so far. I hope at least some of them are good.

I Worry about Raine...

My dudes, I am about to make a LEAP and I really hope I'm just overthinking things again.

So Raine Whispers is a double agent, a rebel working within the covens, and we all love them and want only good things for them.

We feared for their safety after "Eda's Requiem", but it turns out they were fine.

We feared for their memories/ freewill after "Follies at the Coven Day Parade", but again, they turned out to be fine.

We've got some speculations circulating that there was a mole in the CATTs, either willingly or unknowingly, but surely it cannot be Raine because they're just nervous about Eda, and it's all one big red herring for us, the audience, right?

Again, they’re probably going to be fine...

But there are parts of Raine's story that don't all add up. Their peril is always diverted so simply. Too simply.

Raine was "briefly" introduced via the old scrapbook photo in "Wing it Like Witches". Even Darius and the Blights were given cameos during the season 1 finale, and yet we don't meet any of them until we're well into season 2. Regardless, these characters all already existed in the story by Season 1, even if we didn’t know it yet.

Where was Raine for the coven tryouts Owl Beast flashback?

Where was Raine during Eda's publicized petrification ceremony?

Do you really think Raine "I love my owl wife" Whispers would've just sat back and watched his childhood best friend and ex-lover be petrified LIVE on their crystal ball? NO!

I think Raine's troubles go back even further than we were led to believe. I think Raine did go to try and help Eda, but was caught beforehand... (possibly by Terra Snapdragon.)

This friendly-faced troublemaker who was already working their way up the ranks could be the perfect patsy to manipulate into the Emperor's plots, especially when they thought they were working against it all from the start. Everything they did, they thought would be to stop this evil system, when really they were playing right into the Emperor’s hands.

People liked Raine, trusted Raine, and this bard had a way of drawing in allies (AKA people who Belos would need removed or to keep an eye on). The Covens needed this kind of wholesome PR, so to speak, on their side.

Thus the former head bard CONVIENTLY "retires", Raine is put into the position of power they've been working towards, and they are left free to finally cause what little mischief missions with the BATTs they so please.

Little does Raine know, Terra has been pulling puppet strings ever since Eda's near-petrification. The seeds planted off-screen all the way back in S1 (if not waaay before that).

Their capture? A ruse on Darius and Eber's parts, true... but also a carefully planned act for Terra/ Belos. Now Raine has even more reason to rebel, plot, and gather allies. They have even more reason not to trust her and to keep secrets and make desperate plans.

Their treachery doesn’t even warrant a petrification because it will be too hard to replace them. Well “Clouds On the Horizon” confirmed they all have replacement bodies for the Day of Unity itself, but for Raine in that moment, they meant Raine was more valuable to them alive and plotting than petrified and silenced.

And the tea? That's not even anything nefarious. Terra just wants Raine to think it is, to lull them into a false sense of security in thinking they got the best of her. Two steps ahead, they allow Raine to gather all the loose ends for them, while all they have to do is sit back and watch.

Raine is either already under her control or something went down, memories were actually altered, or it’s all just mind games, but Terra already has Raine right where she wants them like a little chess piece. Maybe all Raine has to do is be themself and the rest just happens to work out for Belos?

Maybe they wanted this outcome for the Day of Unity? Maybe the CATT's plan actually works in the bad guy's favor instead of the rebels'? Maybe this is a joint effort between Terra and Belos years in the making. Maybe I'm giving the old plant lady too much credit??? I don’t want to undersell how much time these wicked, old people have had to think this all through.

And I don't think Raine is a traitor, but I do think we're missing something... Raine is missing something... and nobody is going to realize the gaps until it's too late.

Did this make any sense at all? It is very late, and probably all super wrong, but all I know is I have FEARS for this finale. 😨😅

this is a Teen Wolf idea that Catt and I tossed around and it basically plays with balances and how the three parts (sun, moon, truth) balance each other out as the three characters (Stiles, Derek, Peter) do. the aka okay part was from a bit we plotted where something big is revealed and Stiles is just like "oh okay" and goes about his day like he didn't just have a bombshell dropped in his lap. (after panicking about something completely different 30 minutes beforehand)

And now, for your viewing pleasure, another crossover AU involving a Disney cartoon and a wildly successful media franchise that started in the 1980s!

In this world, stepsisters Luz Noceda and April O’Neil find themselves in the Demon Realm and meet not just Eda and King, but also Eda’s old friend Splinter and his four juvenile anthropomorphic hero terrapin sons Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. Eda and Splinter have raised the Heroes in a Half Shell in the Owl House for years ever since Splinter found the baby turtles in a pizza box while on the run from the Foot Coven, the black-ops division of the Emperor’s Coven.

The Turtles all attend Hexside in addition to training under Splinter, and their classmates include Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey Jones, Mona Lisa, Mondo Gecko, and numerous other TOH and TMNT characters. The boys also each have their own Palisman, with Leo owning Mayhem from ROTTMNT, Don with Metalhead, Raph with Pepperoni, and Mikey with Klunk. Also, Leo is on the Healing track, Donnie is Oracle, Raph is Bard, and Mikey is Beast Keeping.

Leading the Foot Coven is the Shredder, as per usual, alongside his wife Oroku Miwa aka Kitsune (based off Kitsune from the IDW comics) and their daughters Karai and Pimiko (the latter originating from the Image comics, but more based off the version from Sophie Campbell’s Secret of the Ooze webcomic).

Like in the Mirage Comics, the old live action movies and the 2003 show, the Shredder murdered Hamato Yoshi, but in a marriage of the cartoon and comic origins, Yoshi would use forbidden magic to reincarnate himself in the body of his Palisman Splinter. Gaining an increase in size and intelligence thanks to Yoshi’s spirit inhabiting his body, Splinter would go into hiding until he discovered the Turtles, leading us to today.

In addition to the Oroku family leading the Foot Coven, there’s Krang (still an alien, as the Utroms were forced to evacuate Dimension X to escape being conquered by King Aldrich Leviathan), Baxter Stockman, who in this universe is an old classmate of Eda and Lilith, the trio of Hun, Bebop & Rocksteady, Koya & Bludgeon, Dogpound & Fishface, Hattori Tatsu, Master Khan, Groundchuck & Dirtbag, Dr. Chaplin, and the Stone Soldiers consisting of Traag, Granitor, Aguila, Gato, Serpiente, and Mono.

Due to the relationship between the Emperor’s Coven and the Foot Coven, Lilith finds herself the leader of her own little team consisting of herself, Bebop & Rocksteady, Hun, Stockman, and Karai. Out of the gang, Lilith finds herself closest to Baxter, since they were classmates at Hexside as mentioned above, and Karai due to the two sharing a close, mother-daughter bond that everyone wanted out of Lilith and Amity. In fact, it’s Lilith’s betrayal that causes Karai to question her loyalties to Belos and Shredder, much like her surrogate brother Hunter. Meanwhile, Hun, Bebop and Rocksteady love picking on her for being such a nerdy stick in the mud.

Also existing in this universe are Leatherhead, the Fugitoid and Monkey Brains as part of the faculty of Hexside, Ch’rell as a member of the Emperor’s Coven, Odalia Blight being business partners with Darius Dunn, Madame Null, Max Winters and Eric Sacks, the Bards/Covens Against the Throne being merged with the Mighty Mutanimals (along with a few other members like Tokka & Rahzar, Mortu, and DIGG), some of the characters from Usagi Yojimbo being turned into biped demons, Sunita being adopted alongside Vee by Camila Noceda & Kirby O’Neil, and Jacob Hopkins being an undercover member of the Earth Protection Force.

The Day of Unity progresses mostly the same in this world, only the Shredder rises up to declare himself ruler of the Boiling Isles after Belos’s presumed death while putting bounties on the heads of Eda, Splinter, Lilith, Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, and the rest of the CATTs. Meanwhile, Luz, April, the Turtles, Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey, Lisa, Mondo, Hunter, and Karai are ejected into the Human Realm by King as the Collector is unleashed. Now, the fourteen kids seek to find a way back to the Demon Realm to save their families & friends and the multiverse from Shredder.

Though scheduling is what got in the way, I was reminded tonight, that the last time I made it to @tea-ffxiv aka The Shroudrose Tea House I met my Lovely Snowcatte, who became my wife. Here we are thanking the lovely @fair-fae and Val for having been there when we met, and for giving The Snow Catte the chance to perform on their stage tonight for the first time. It was a lot of fun, and it was a very happy memory to be reminded of.

He was Head Witch like Raine and Darius. (Please don’t think I mean this is a negative way I am just extremely curious I love your writing)

Hi, there! 💕 Thank you for the nice words 😄

Okay, short answer is that I'm generally not basing the new integrants of the government on the Coven Heads, because while I do think covens can still be a thing post-Belos (just without the sigils and magic restrictions), I think the distribution of power will reasonably change given the reasons why it was like that in the first place.

Long answer is...

We don't really know a lot about the structure of power with Belos in charge, though we can speculate about how it worked and the role of the Coven Heads in it. In the hierarchy, we have the Emperor first of all, of course, then technically both Kikimora and whoever at the moment is Head Witch of the Emperor's Coven, then just a step below, the rest of the Coven Heads. Given how the EC works, it seems like the government was militaristic in nature, and so members of it with high ranks would also have a considerable amount of power (like Kikimora's captain and other high-ranking scouts).

It would help to know if this structure is based on some real-life equivalent. I haven't heard anything about that, but maybe it is? Anyway, I think this is important to consider to be able to get an idea of the kind of changes they would want to do in the future, but also the changes they would realistically be able to do.

There’s no doubt in my mind that by the end of the third special, Belos will be gone. That obviously leaves a huge vacuum of power that only now they will have time to worry about (I imagine there’s no time to freak out over that with the Collector causing mayhem) and there are a lot of interesting possibilities on how this could go. Even knowing that Belos tried to kill them all, this is all everyone has known for 50 years, some people will undoubtedly want to cling to the pre-existent government structure, trying to appoint someone as the new Emperor, most likely Hunter if they find out about their “familiar” link... that, if Belos ever bothered to establish something like that as part of his new way to rule when he assumed power. Now, this is something I can see the CATTs shutting down REAL quick because the solution to the mess is not giving someone that amount of power again, let alone a very traumatized teenager.

Truthfully, I don’t have a completely well-structured and coherent idea about how the government will actually work. In part because it’s a complicated matter (also politics are NOT my forte) and in part because in this kind of situation, I feel like it’s common for a long period of transition to exist between the old government and the new government.What I do have well established is that: this is a period of transition AND they need some provisional form of government because there will be a lot of rebuilding and changes to laws and stuff required right away.

Now, let’s think of the ideal scenario I’m working with here: at the end, everyone has been told about what exactly happened on the Day of Unity and what led to it, aka, Belos’s plan to commit genocide, the rebellion trying to stop it, and the role of each Coven Head on this, along with their different levels of knowledge. Working with this assumption there’s still trouble: people who will prefer the old reign, who won’t believe this is the truth or will have their own reasons to despise this new attempt of forming a fair government.

This is why I believe some of the people who were already in power under Belos’s rule will remain on it. Big, active participants on the disaster wouldn’t, of course, like Kikimora, Terra, etc, but I can see high-ranking officials keeping their power, since most of them probably had no idea of what was being planned and are technically “innocent”, plus they probably already took care of some more administrative matters and it would be a pain to replace them at the moment, and unless they want a very violent transition of government, the rebellion might have to accept this in order for the changes they desire to be smoother.

All of this to say that I tend to think of a council of sorts, conformed by some of these government officials that might still share some of the values of Belos’s government, plus members of the rebellion and other people who might now get the chance to participate in this. But to the point of this long ramble... why wouldn’t Eber be part of it?

Belos’s reign in a sense was a meritocracy of sorts, at least when it comes to the Coven Heads it’s clear they had to prove they were exceptional at their kind of magic. I imagine this kind of “the powerful get ultimate say over others” situation won’t fly after everything that went down, so I don’t see the Coven Heads being automatically drafted into being part of the new government. So what is my criteria for deciding who gets to stay and who doesn’t?

The CATTs were all very committed to doing what’s right, there’s no doubt about that, but I do think there’s differences in the way in which they approached this. People like Darius and Raine seemed to me like the ones who made the plans and took care of a lot of logistic details for the rebellion, whereas people like Eber, Katya, Derwin, and Amber were more the action kind of rebels; still super committed to the cause and willing to give their all for it, but ultimately not that involved on the strategic and bureaucratic part of it. Sure, for Eber it might be that we don’t ever find out what he thinks about anything aside from his expressions and the sounds he makes, and to write Eber one must make a lot of assumptions and develop their own headcanons about him, but this is the impression I get from him.

That is to say, I think Darius and Raine are so incredibly committed to doing what’s best for the Boiling Isles that I think they both would absolutely want to be part of the new council, while Eberwolf, even if he still wants what’s best, would not necessarily be interested in the administrative part of it. Plus, since he either doesn’t speak a lot or most people don’t understand his language, I feel like they could easily underestimate his value as a government official and think of him simply as someone powerful, but not particularly smart or worthy of having a place. That probably would absolutely infuriate people who care about him, like Darius, but since Eberwolf doesn’t really want to be part of it and doesn’t care a lot about what strangers think of him, he doesn’t really give a fuck.

This was a very long ramble to say: Eber is not in my tentative version of the new government because he doesn’t have the vibes 🤣 That’s... the simplest way to put it askjfhkjdg

Phylogeny: Chapter 1

Read on AO3

The Day of Unity had been stoped but at what cost.

Luz and her friends are stranded in the Human Realm. They have to deal with a new world along with finding a way back to see if their friends and family survived. All the while Hunter is haunted by what happened.

The Collector has complete control of the Boiling Isles. King along with the CATTs have to find a way to defeat the Collector and resume Luz's research in portals.

AKA my take on what season 3 will look like.

Note: This was written before the release of the season 3 poster.

Camila was cooking dinner when she heard a knock at the door. It was shocking considering the stormy weather and that Camila was not expecting anyone.

"I'll get it," Camila said to Vee. She walked over to the door and was shocked.

Before her were five teenagers. They were all battered as if they had been in a fight with some sort of beast. One of them she would always recognize. Her biological daughter, Luz.

"Hey, Mom, I'm back," Luz said in a broken voice. Tears appeared in her daughter's eyes.

"MIJA!" Camila cried. She rushed forward and hugged Luz. She was so preoccupied that she didn't notice two of the teens tense up.

"Mom." Luz sobbed. The two of them stood in the rain with Camila holding her daughter for the first time in months as Luz sobbed. Clearly, she had been through a lot in the demon realm. The other teens didn't interrupt the moment. It was Vee who interrupted it.

"Who's at the door?" Vee called out. They broke the hug. Then Luz seemed to come back to herself. She rubbed her hand on her neck.

"Uh, right, these are my friends, Willow, Amity, Gus, and Hunter," Luz said. She gestured to each of them as she said their name. When their name was said they either nodded their head or gave a small wave to at least everyone except the boy at the end, Hunter. He was looking at Camila in an analytical way as if he was waiting for something. "They kind of need a place to stay."

"Of course, come in, come in. I was just making dinner. I'll grab you kids some towels to dry off with." Camila said. Luz gave a weak smile.

"Thanks, Mami," Luz said

"!Por supuesto!" Camila said. Luz and Amity were the first to enter the house. Then Willow and lastly the two boys. Hunter watched her carefully making sure that he was between the younger boy and the human woman with his arms around him.

"Camila..." Vee started. She appeared in the hallway and all the kids but Luz tensed.

Hunter pushed Gus behind him and got into a fighting stance. Amity drew a pinkish purple circle creating flames of a similar color. Willow drew two green circles that made vines appear. Luz went to rush forward. Amity grabbed her arm.

"Luz don't it's a basilisk," Amity said. A look of fear appeared on Vee's face.

"It's alright she's nice," Luz said.

"They drain magic. They're dangerous." Hunter said

"She isn't like that. She escaped Belos and she doesn't want to hurt anyone." Luz explained. Hunter lowered his fists.

"Wait I recognize that voice. He's the Golden Guard. I'm not going back." Vee panicked. Hunter flinched back so hard that he bumped into Gus. Camila rushed forward to comfort Vee. If he...

"He's like you, he left Belos," Luz explained. Gus, Willow, and Amity all nodded their heads. Hunter seemed to have zoned out. Willow walked over and placed a hand on his arm. He flinched again seeming to snap out of it but then leaned into the touch.

"It's not like we can return. The portal was destroyed." Hunter said. Tears began to form in the girl's eyes. Gus broke down and started to sob. Hunter quickly wrapped him in a hug.

"I'll get the towels and the first aid kit. Vee, can you serve dinner, please? Mija, can you show them to the living room?" Camila said. Vee nodded and left the hall. Luz nodded.

"Follow me guys," Luz said. She led them to the living room. They all stood there unsure of what to do. Not long after Camila returned with her arms full of towels and a first aid kit.

"Here are the towels," Camila said. She set down the towels on the couch. "Do you..."

"I can do it," Hunter said. Camila wanted to argue but decided against it. They don't know her beyond being Luz's mom. They probably felt better with someone they knew treating their injuries.

"Alright," Camila said. She handed the first aid kit to the older teen. He took it and turned to Gus.

Camila left the room to go check on Vee. She already knew that this was going to be difficult.

The Day of Unity had been stopped. Eda doesn't know how or why but it had been. She had a feeling that a certain group of kids was responsible for it. Though there seemed to be something else going on.

The Owl Beast wanted to flee. To take control and fly as far away as possible. Yet Eda didn't know why. It was scared of something that only it knows about. This set Eda on edge.

Then the ground began to shake and shutter. Raine sat up and they both shot each other confused looks. Then it happened.

The Titan's skull began to break apart. A feeling of dread filled Eda as she watched. A black figure was in the sky. She could only hope that figure wasn't one of her kids.

"What is happening?" Raine asked. Eda couldn't take her eyes off what was happening.

"I don't know," Eda responded.

The pieces began to rearrange themselves into a ...larger version of her house. What in Titan was happening? Then the figure that had been in the sky appeared before them.

The figure had a half-orange and half-blue face. They wore a one-piece PJ set that had moon and sun designs on it. They had a wide grin on their face that filled Eda with dread.

"Alright everyone we're gonna play a fun game King told me about called the Owl House." The figure's boyish voice explained. Though that was not what Eda's mind got caught on.

"KING!"
