The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning
Chapter 67: No More Room In Hell
❧ Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Female Reader ❧ Era: Season 9 ❧ Pronouns: she/her ❧ Warnings: scary situation, violence, blood and gore, mild swearing, character death ❧ Word Count: 6.7k
❧ In This Chapter: The fair at the Kingdom begins as leaders of the communities discuss what is to be done with Lydia and the "skins." When it is decided to send out a group to take more soldiers to the Hilltop, Reader and Daryl volunteer, only to have another nasty run-in with the woman known as Alpha. The price to pay for taking in Lydia is greater than anyone ever thought.
❧ A/N: Ugh, I love this chapter! I mean, I don't like the sad parts, but the cute moments with Robin, and between Daryl and Reader... God, I love their little family. Also, if you noticed that I changed Robin’s age to 5 in the last few chapters, it’s because I did the math (actually made a whole timeline of the show/my series) and Robin and RJ would actually both be five since they were born roughly nine months after Rick’s “death” (aka where the time jump begins). The title of this chapter is a reference to a quote from George A. Romero's classic film, Dawn of the Dead (1978). If you haven't seen it, I highly, highly recommend it!

You could feel the mirth in the air as the gates to the Kingdom opened, and as King Ezekiel and Carol came rushing up to greet Henry, taking him in their arms and crying tears of joy.
They must’ve been informed that Henry ran away from the Hilltop, because Carol said something along the lines of “don’t ever run away like that again.”
You couldn’t quite tell, though, because Bev was suffocating you with her hug, and her laughter rang out in your ears.
“You’re here!” she said, not having seen you since before you left for the Hilltop. “I almost thought you weren’t going to make it.”
“Are you kidding?” you asked, holding her hands in yours. “I wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
Hugs were exchanged with Carol, too, and for a moment everything was quite jovial, until Tara came to greet you, and quickly the smile on her face faded as she laid eyes on Lydia.
“The plan was to bring Henry,” she said, looking disappointedly at Daryl. “Just Henry.”
A tense silence broke out, and you were about ready to say something, take any and all blame off Daryl, but Michonne was quick to speak before you could.
“Gather up all the leaders,” she said. “We have a lot to talk about.”
Michonne asked if you wanted to attend this meeting, but you decided it wasn’t really your place. You were a member of Alexandria’s council, but you didn’t feel like a leader, and you really wanted to spend time with Robin and your other friends from Alexandria. Daryl attended the meeting on your behalf.
Still, Gabriel took an informal vote among the council members present at the Kingdom that day, asking if Alexandria would be willing to grant Lydia asylum.
Though you thought about it for a moment, it was clear that you wanted to help Lydia, and letting her stay at Alexandria was going to be the best way to do that. So, you voted yes, and Gabriel took those votes to the meeting.
You couldn’t think about any of that, though… Not when Robin was fighting for her life to stay on that pony.
One of the residents of the Kingdom was trying to steady her, keeping her feet in the stirrups and trying to calm her down as she began to fidget, terrified that the small horse was going to buck her off. After all, the little girl had been told time and again the story of how her father got unceremoniously bucked off a horse at the Greene farm, and subsequently ended up with an arrow in his side.
“I—I don’t like it,” she said shakily to the man pulling the reins. “I’m scared.”
“It’s okay, sweetie,” the man said. “Just relax. The horse won’t hurt you.”
You leaned over the railing of the horse enclosure anxiously, trying not to jump over the thing and take Robin in your arms. Then again, the girl was curious, having read about horses in her last Eyewitness book. Besides, she was going to need to learn horseback riding sooner or later.
“Relax,” said Bev, standing beside you and laughing at your nervous expression. “She’ll be fine. I hear Gordon’s great with horses.”
You swallowed hard, watching the man start to lead Robin around on her palomino pony. Watching the little black riding helmet bounce on her head, and her feet constantly coming loose from the stirrups, you grasped the ledge hard.
“I know, it’s just…” You dozed off as you continued watching the pony trot with Robin on its back, slowly coming around in a circle to pass you. “Hi, baby.” You said to her, smiling softly to comfort her. “You’re doing so good.”
She looked down at the horse, and started petting its soft mane as Gordon, the instructor, stopped the pony. “She’s a natural,” he said. “Well, um… she will be. With practice.”
After the slight trauma of her first time riding horseback, Robin was eager to go to the face painting booth, where artists from all the settlements had agreed to lend their skills.
She insisted upon you getting your face painted, too, and who were you to deny the girl? Though she got her whole face painted like a calico cat, you opted for the less invasive procedure of a small pink daisy on your cheek.
Next was the petting zoo, and Robin, with her obsession with animals, let out an adorably high-pitched gasp when she saw the llama, an animal she hadn’t seen before.
You watched in delight as the little girl fed hay to the gentle creature, all the while petting its fuzzy head.
Sitting on a nearby bench with Bev, you wondered if life could possibly get any better than it was, with the sounds of people all around you, laughing and spending time with old friends, reminiscing about times gone by, and looking forward to the future.
It reminded you of how far you had come, how far everyone who was here right now had come, and how much you had to thank those who gave their lives for this life.
“What are you thinking about?” asked Bev, tilting her head as she tried to look at your face.
You shook your head. “Oh, nothing. Just… Ten years ago, when this all started, if you’d asked me where I’d be now, this would be just the last thing I would think of.”
She smiled. “Yeah, same here. Who would’ve thought? An elementary school teacher and a university librarian, living large at the end of days.”
“For the longest time, I really thought I wasn’t meant to live in a world like this,” you said, for the first time saying such a thing out loud. “I mean, I had the will to live, and I did think that maybe there was something better out there, but for the longest time, I felt like… I don’t know, like a… mismatched puzzle piece, or something. Like I didn’t quite fit. Everyone else was adapting, becoming more… cold, and in some ways I did too, but I always tried to hold onto whoever I was before, even when it made me weak. I don’t know why, but I’m glad I did, because now, I feel like I can really be myself again. Not just with Daryl, or my friends, I feel like I don’t have to pretend to be tough, or that everything’s okay. I can just be, and the world can deal with it, instead of the other way around. Does—does any of that make sense, Bevvy?”
“Yeah,” she said, taking your hand in hers. “It makes total sense.”
She took a bite of her caramel apple, crinkling her nose as her hair got stuck in the sticky coat. You snorted.
“Did I ever tell you that you’re my best friend?” you asked.
She wiped her face, and looked at you with wide eyes. “I thought Maggie was your best friend?”
You shrugged. “I have several best friends. You just happen to be one of them. It’s an exclusive club, only reserved for the most elite members of society.”
She laughed and nudged your shoulder with hers. “Well, I’m honored. You’re my best friend, too. I don’t think I’d be alive right now if it weren’t for you training me like you did, and believing in me. Hell, after Eugene and I broke things off, you were the first one I wanted to talk to, because you’re… amazing.”
You scoffed at the compliment. Surely you weren’t anywhere near amazing. “You could’ve learned everything I taught you on your own,” you said. “And you know I’m always here for you. You’re like the sister I never had.”
She let out a teasing “aw” and slung her arm around your shoulders as you both looked on, watching the children feed the animals.
Bev soon left, eager to get her hands on another caramel apple, and Daryl came to sit next to you shortly after, the meeting having finished.
“What’s this?” he asked, gesturing to his own cheek.
“A flower,” you said, and nodded towards Robin, who was still enamored with the llama. “She demanded I get something, too. I swear, that little girl can be just as needy as her father.”
He shoved you lightly, but scoffed in amusement. “Well, it looks real good on ya. Beautiful.” He kissed your clean cheek, then snaked his arm behind your back, pulling you closer to him.
“How was the meeting?”
“Good,” he said with a nod, keeping his eyes on Robin as she interacted with another child. “Lydia’s comin’ to stay in Alexandria, and Hilltop’s requesting extra soldiers from the other communities, in case the skins attack… We’re goin’ out there tonight, escorting the soldiers there.”
You nodded in understanding, knowing the mission was of the utmost importance. “I’m going, too,” you said. You’d learned long ago that the best way to get Daryl to let you go somewhere with him was to not ask, but to simply dictate. “When are we leaving?”
He huffed, knowing he wasn’t going to be able to argue with you. “Few hours.”
Though you wanted to stay at the fair as long as possible, and to take Robin to see her first movie in the theater, which had finally been up and running, you wanted to help out as much as you could, considering you were part of the reason why Hilltop was now in danger.
With bear hugs and kisses, you and Daryl left Robin and Dog at the Kingdom for the night, promising to return in the morning. You assigned Bev to be in charge of the Dixon “children” before riding off with Daryl on his motorcycle, which the Hilltop had generously brought to the Kingdom along with their trade bounty for the fair.
The bike led the caravan of delegates and soldiers from all the settlements, including Michonne, Carol, Yumiko, and Magna.
Soon, your group ran into three men on the road not far from the Kingdom, one from Alexandria, DJ, and two Highwaymen, a group the Kingdom had made a deal with to protect the roads as the fair commenced, named Ozzy and Alek. They informed you of an attack that occurred on a caravan coming from Hilltop to the Kingdom, and led you to the site.
There weren’t any bodies, only an overturned wagon, but it seemed pretty clear that it was the work of the skins, and from there, your group split, with the rest of them continuing on towards Hilltop, with yourself, Daryl, Yumiko, Michonne, and Carol staying to see if there were any survivors in the surrounding woods.
Night fell not long after the search began, and with night came walkers, many of which came from Hilltop.
The five of you stood your ground as more walkers emerged from the woods, coming in all directions and surrounding you. As usual, you had your axe, and used it to kill more walkers than you had in a long time.
Soon, they seemed to die down, but walkers you recognized not to be walkers at all were in their stead, wearing skin masks and moving closer to circle the five of you, as you stood with your backs to each other, holding your weapons up high.
The skins had weapons this time, too, some with knives and some even with guns.
“Drop them,” you heard a deep, haunting voice call out softly from the trees. The large man came forward, and you didn’t recognize him, but Daryl certainly did, as you could feel him tensing up even more as he stood beside you. It must have been the “giant” he told you about, the one he thought he killed. Surely, there wasn’t any other six foot seven man wearing a flesh mask in Virginia. “I won’t ask twice.”
Once you all reluctantly dropped your weapons, Beta came closer, towering over all of you, and looking Daryl in the eye, causing you to swallow hard in fear that he would hurt him.
“You just had to give me the girl,” he growled. “No one else had to die. Now that deal… is done.”
It seemed like hours passed as you stood there, your hands tied behind your backs, standing in a circle around a birch tree, with fifty or so skins surrounding you, when Alpha finally showed herself, emerging from the woods and slinking towards you, in that strange, languid gate of hers.
You were wedged between Daryl and Michonne, all three of you facing her.
“You ain’t never gettin’ her back,” said Daryl.
“You think this is about my daughter?” she asked. “I ran into some trouble on the road.” She pulled a sawed off double barreled shotgun from her belt. “It was unavoidable. “Do you like my new camp?” She sniffed the air, as if there was anything she could smell other than the death she surrounded herself with. “My people like to keep movin’, keep roamin’.”
“We’ve granted Lydia asylum,” said Michonne. “Any attempt to take her by force will result in retaliation.”
“What’s your name?” asked Alpha.
“Michonne,” she said confidently.
Alpha moved her gaze to Daryl, who you could just tell was boring a hole in her with his intense, angry stare. It radiated from him, that contempt.
“Does she speak for you?” Alpha asked him directly.
“We speak for each other,” he answered.
Alpha kept her gaze on him, as if lost in thought for a moment. You swore you saw her eyes glaze over, and being face-to-face with the woman for the first time, you were sure whatever was going on in that head was crazier than anything you’d seen in this messed up world, an amalgam of everything cruel and loveless.
You used to think Negan was the purest form of evil, but now, standing just inches away from an effigy devoted to every last drop of human suffering and misery, you knew evil had not been defeated that day, so long ago on that hill.
She was right in front of you, evil incarnate—cold, cruel, hateful.
“My daughter isn’t a concern anymore,” she said, looking around to address her people. “She was weak, she never lived up to expectations.”
How any mother could call her child weak was beyond you, but then, this wasn’t any mother—this truly was a monster.
“Was?” asked Daryl. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“To be clear,” she began to say, in that sonorous, Louisianan southern accent of hers, as she pulled out her gun again, now holding it with the barrel pointed towards Daryl. You began to breathe heavily, glowering down at her with sharp, stormy eyes. “Your group is in no position to threaten me. That is a habit that needs to be broken.”
She sniffled, and as if in realization of something, she locked her cold gaze on Daryl.
“Come with me,” she said. “Just you.”
No way in Hell, you thought. He’s not going anywhere with that crazy bald bitch.
“Don’t you touch him,” you growled at her, feeling the most territorial you had in a long time.
Alpha raised an eyebrow at you, cocking her gun at Daryl. “I’ll bring him back,” she said, almost smiling at how you shook in rage. “Now, come with me.”
Daryl looked at you as he did as she said, with that heavy gaze, tinged with a softness that was meant to ease your worry, but it only spurred you on, causing a lump to form in your throat at the thought of any harm coming to him, your greatest love, the father of your child, the other half of your soul, as cliché as it seemed, but you lived for clichés.
The cool golden hues of the first light shone through the trees, creating brilliant beams and shadows that otherwise would have been a welcome sight, but today, light gave the ability to see that which should never be seen, and Daryl had that horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach as he walked, Alpha’s gun pointed at him from behind as she directed him.
“Where you takin’ me?” he growled deeply, but the answer didn’t come from Alpha’s mouth.
There was a distant, constant rumble, low and quiet at first, until Daryl stepped forward more and more, approaching the edge of a cliff. The more he walked, he could hear the familiar growls and snarls, only there were far more than he’d ever heard at once, maybe even more than he’d heard combined.
He was pushed further to the edge, where he was forced to look down upon a sea of walkers, flooding the once majestic canyon with the echoes of tens of thousands of dead souls, waiting in a kind of limbo for whatever came next.
Purgatory, or Hell, or something in between.
What was that thing you told him once? That quote, from one of those old seventies horror flicks about the dead coming to life—“When there’s no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth.”
It wasn’t just the dead, though. It was every sick, twisted soul who could come to power in such a world. That was who walked the Earth, hand-in-hand with the dead.
He looked upon that herd in fear, disgust, and disbelief, trying to find any crack in this vision he was sure was just some hallucination. How could a herd of this size even exist? Well, it wasn’t really a herd, more like… a horde.
Of course, he knew how it could exist—the skins, walking with the dead, leading them.
“My people are among them,” she said, confirming his suspicion. “Steering them.”
She looked at him, stood next to him upon that jagged precipice that separated the dead from the living, or the half-living, since Daryl wasn’t sure Alpha was really alive at all, just a shell of a person, hollow and cold on the inside.
She had this wide-eyed, crazed look upon her face, and if Daryl had any semblance of a doubt in his mind that this woman was beyond any redemption, they were squashed now, because anyone who could create such a hellish nightmare was incapable of being anything but pure evil.
“The only reason you and your friends are alive is because I let you live,” she said.
It all made horrible sense—Alpha wasn’t afraid of your people because she could bring a herd of gigantic proportions right to your doorstep, tearing through each and every one of your settlements until they were reduced to rubble.
“What do you want?” he asked her, narrowing his eyes and hating every minute he even had to look at the repulsive woman.
“Nothing,” she quickly replied. “You don’t got a single thing to offer me. I’ve seen how you live. I’ve walked your streets. It’s a joke. Your communities are a shrine to a long-dead world. My people, the Whisperers—we live as nature intended.”
Daryl pointed his finger at her, and twirled it derisively before snarling at her. “That’s just all the bullshit you feed your sheep, so they’ll follow you.”
“They follow me,” she retorted, “‘cause I am the Alpha.”
“Mhm,” Daryl mumbled sarcastically.
“And if the Alpha doesn’t assert herself, then there’s chaos.” She sniffed, then turned to look down at her horde. “So that is what I’ve done.”
He swallowed hard, wondering what she could possibly be referring to. His mind immediately went to you and the others, tied up around the tree, surrounded by skins, or Whisperers, as they apparently called themselves. He thought of that huge, practically indestructible man getting his hands on you, hurting you beyond his own capacity to think. It sent shivers down his spine and hitched his breath, just the thought of it.
“What’d you do?” he asked, almost choking up as he spoke.
She smiled. “Your friends back at the camp are fine. Tell them the next time they cross into my land, my horde will cross into theirs. The land between the broken interstates and the river to the south is mine. I’ve marked the border to the north, you’ll see it as you leave.”
“What the hell’s that supposed to mean?”
She repeated herself, this time a little more smugly. “You’ll see it as you leave. Go. Your friends will be waiting for you in a field due north.”
He stepped forward slowly, returning her cold gaze. “Did you kill Lydia?”
She froze for a moment, as if lost in some memory.
“I don’t think you can protect my daughter,” she finally said. “But I hope I’m wrong.”
Daryl tilted his head, then nodded slightly. “You are.”
He came towards you with increasing speed, running to hold you in his arms as soon as he could see you.
“Thank God,” you huffed into his shoulder. “I thought for sure she’d hurt you, but I couldn’t do anything.”
He took your face in his, lacing his fingers through your hair. “I’m fine… You all right? They do anythin’ to any of ya?” He looked over your shoulder to see Michonne, Carol, and Yumiko.
You shook your head in his hands. “No, we’re all right. Shaken up, but all right. I guess they just wanted to make a point.”
He pulled you into him again, resting his chin on your head as he stroked your back. “Jus’ hope it’s done.”
You trudged through the woods, in the cool, windy morning, moving north towards Alpha’s border, with intentions to return to the Kingdom.
Emerging from a grove of dense woods, you heard muffled cries nearby, and Michonne called out Siddiq’s name before you could even realize what was happening.
“Siddiq!” she said, and proceeded to untie the man, as he’d been left, beaten, gagged, and tied to a tree. Surely, it could only be the work of the Whisperers.
“What happened?” you asked, helping Michonne shoulder the weight of the injured man.
He muttered some unintelligible sounds, but managed to point forward, and before you was a field, rising steadily on a hill.
As you trudged forward with the group, you couldn’t believe your eyes, even after all you had seen. You couldn’t make out whose bodies those heads once belonged to, not yet anyway.
They were stuck on spikes, in a neat, uniform row. It must’ve been the way Alpha decided to mark her border, with the added macabre twist of human heads.
Your breathing hitched, and a part of you wanted to walk faster, to see what faces you could recognize, if any, but another part wanted to freeze and turn back, as if none of it was there. Could it be real if you didn’t see it? Of course it could.
So you kept walking, moving ahead alongside Daryl as your breathing became more and more labored. Eleven spikes, eleven heads, all of which becoming dangerously more clear as you inched closer up that gentle hill.
When it became exactly clear that those heads weren’t dead, that they’d been strategically placed to keep the brainstem intact, and left to turn on those wooden spikes… That was when you lost all control, closing your eyes tight for a moment, and then telling yourself that you needed to open them, to see whose fate had been sealed the night before.
Tears seeped out from between your eyelids as you opened them slowly, with somewhat of a hope that the sight had disappeared. Of course it hadn’t, and before you were those ghastly spikes, and those disembodied heads, snarling and snapping.
The first two you didn’t know well, they were two of the highwaymen—Ozzy and Alek, but seeing them there, with those unnaturally clouded eyes, it was enough for you to cover your mouth in horror.
The next head was one you knew better, DJ. S former Savior, you’d had conflicts with him long ago at Rick’s bridge, but now he was a citizen of Alexandria, and sometimes he hosted the little male-bonding get-togethers Daryl would occasionally attend. It wasn’t much, but you knew him.
The bright red hair on the next head was a dead giveaway for Frankie, a former wife of Negan who had been taken in after the war. You liked her, and she was in your book club that you hosted every week. She was a friend.
As you trailed your eyes slowly over to the next spike, wanting nothing more than to stop yourself from looking, you felt Daryl pull you into him, forcing your gaze away.
You looked at him, tears flooding your eyes and clouding your vision until his face became a blur, because you knew, you had seen it out of the corner of your eye, but you weren’t entirely willing to believe it.
“Bev,” you said softly to him, and he only nodded gently, himself tearing up and trying to hold your cheek steady to keep you looking at him.
You closed your eyes and let out a cry, but Daryl’s hand let up, and you stayed in his arms to see the others, recalling now that Bev was taking care of Robin in your stead, and that if something happened to her, something might’ve happened to… You couldn’t even fathom it.
The next head belonged to Tammy, an older woman you knew from the days when Alexandria was more connected to the Hilltop. She was kind, from what you knew of her.
Heads belonging to two teenagers from Hilltop, Addy and Rodney, whom you had known as two of the three kids who snuck out with Henry, were there, too. It added another crack to the multitude in your heart, knowing such young people had been robbed of their lives before they hardly even started.
Enid’s head… Tara’s head… Henry’s head…
“Daryl,” you said through the tears, gesturing to the final head, the one you knew would destroy Carol.
He raised his head, and looked on to see the young man’s bloodied, pale visage. Once he realized, he let go of you, running swiftly to Carol and standing in front of her, in an attempt to keep her from seeing her son’s head on a pike.
“No, no!” he yelled.
He lowered his voice as he held her by the shoulders. “Just look at me,” he said. “Just look at me.”
On the way back to the Kingdom, no one said a word. There wasn’t anything to say after that, what you’d all just seen, who you’d just lost.
All you knew now was that the Hilltop was without a leader, and the Whisperers could finally be declared an enemy. At least, as far as you were concerned.
Daryl informed everyone of his information: Alpha was keeping a herd, and was going to use it as a weapon if any of your people crossed their borders again. No matter how many people you sent to the Hilltop, there was no way to keep it safe from that herd if she decided to send it. As far as you knew, the Whisperers still didn’t know the exact location of Alexandria or Oceanside, but you wouldn’t be surprised if they found out.
While no one declared war after that, it seemed like it was imminent. Still, none of the leaders wanted to lose anyone else to the Whisperers, especially after so long of maintaining peace. Nevertheless, everyone was already preparing, sharpening their weapons and strengthening their security, because sooner or later, something was going to happen.
That day, you returned to Alexandria with Daryl and Robin, and the other Alexandrians. You asked Lydia if she would be yours and Daryl’s ward, staying at your home there since she’d been granted asylum. She told you she wanted to stay at the Kingdom, at least until she felt like she could go anywhere. Henry’s death affected her greatly, and the fact that her own mother had presumably carried out his murder, it just made everything worse.
Upon the return home, you cried, much more than you had let yourself when you saw those spikes. At the time, you couldn’t even process what had happened, but now, in Alexandria, you had half-expected seeing a care package from Bev on your doorstep, as she usually left them in your absence. When you saw that barren welcome mat as you came through the door, with Daryl behind you carrying a sleeping Robin, you finally broke, nearly stumbling through the threshold and sobbing gently into your palm in an attempt to not wake the child.
You felt like you had failed them all, every living and dead soul you cared about. Why? Well, there was no rational reason. You supposed in that way you were a lot like Daryl, often blaming yourself for things outside of your control. Still, your mind searched for every possible movement you had made that led to their deaths.
If you didn’t care so much about Lydia, maybe they would still be alive right now. You wouldn’t have insisted upon bringing her to the Kingdom, and Alpha wouldn’t have infiltrated it like she did.
Carol’s son would be alive.
The Hilltop’s leader would be alive.
Your friend would be alive.
Soon the thoughts became too much, and you shut yourself in your bedroom, seeking to find any kind of solace in your sleep.
Daryl was devastated, too, but as usual, he was better at hiding it. He hoisted up Robin to get a better grip on her sleeping body as he began to climb the stairs. Her arms were flailed around his neck, and her legs hung around either side of his waist, dangling with each step.
She still had her rabbit-shaped backpack on, so as he entered her bedroom, he delicately pulled her arms off of him to untangle her limbs from the pack, which seemed to have the opposite effect of keeping her asleep.
“Are we home now?” she asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes as Daryl laid her down on her bed.
He smiled as he hung the loop of her backpack on the hook behind her door. “Yeah, peanut.” He crossed the room to open her chest of drawers, and pulled out the first neatly folded nightgown he saw, long-sleeved with a red and green plaid pattern, and made of warm flannel fabric. It was getting cold out, and Daryl would rather chop his own arm off than know Robin wasn’t as warm and cozy as she could be. “Come on,” he said, gesturing to the sleepy child as he laid the garment on the foot of her bed. “Let’s get your jam-jams on.”
He helped the exhausted Robin out of her sweater and overalls, in desperate need of a wash after the day’s long journey from the Kingdom to Alexandria. When she was dressed in her warmest nightgown, he sent her to brush her teeth, knowing that if he let Robin go one night without brushing her teeth, you’d throw a fit, though he really didn’t see the harm in one night without it, since he himself had gone days on end without doing so. Still, he trusted your parenting more than his.
Daryl got to pulling back Robin’s sage green duvet, and her vintage floral sheets you spent months trying to mend, as they had been ripped before you got your hands on them. He fluffed up her pillows, and grabbed her stuffed rabbit to prop it on the pillow, as she often requested. A sudden burst of energy must’ve overcome the girl, because just after she finished brushing her teeth, Daryl felt fifty pounds of weight on his lower back as he was bent over arranging her bed.
“Agh!” he grunted, at first in surprise, then in amusement at the child trying to force him to give her a piggyback ride. “Robin Elizabeth!”
He reached behind him and hoisted her further up his back to keep her steady, and as he stood up a little straighter, she clasped her hands around his neck and laughed that enchanted, innocent laugh only the sweetest children could create.
“Thought you were sleepy,” he said, turning around to dip Robin off of his back onto the bed. She let go reluctantly, letting her body sink into the soft mattress below her. He turned around to face her again, and leaned down to poke her button nose, which seemed to look more and more like his everyday. She grimaced at the sensation, scrunching her face in mock disturbance. “It ain’t playtime, it’s bedtime. Under the covers.”
She obliged with a dramatic sigh, tucking her feet under the pulled back blankets, and letting Daryl tuck her snugly, as Dog trotted in through the open door and plopped himself at the foot of the bed, snuggling into the crook of Robin’s knees.
“Bad dog,” he said, about to shoo the canine away.
“No, Daddy,” Robin protested. “Can Dog sleep with me tonight?”
He huffed, and looked over to Dog, who let out a small whimper and flashed big, brown, glassy eyes at Daryl. “Course,” he said. “If ya want.”
She smiled and nodded, sinking into her pillow and pulling her covers up to her chin. “Thank you,” she said, then bit her lip as she stared curiously at her father, whose face was still dirty and bloody from the traumatic day. “Daddy,” she began to say, “why did those people kill Henry and Aunt Beverly? And Aunt Tara and Enid?”
He swallowed hard, and nodded to himself as he looked down at his muddied boots. He came forward, and scooted Robin’s legs aside so he could sit on her bed. “Well,” he said, “that’s… a big question. People kill for all kinds of reasons, and for no reason at all. I, uh… I think they didn’t really have a reason, birdie. They jus’ wanted to hurt us, our people. They wanted to hurt your Aunt Carol, and your momma, and everyone else who loved those people, but really there ain’t no reason. Jus’... did it ‘cause they could.”
She nodded in solemn understanding. It was strange, how much the children of the apocalypse knew of the world they lived in, even when their parents tried so hard to give them a normal childhood. Robin could be the most blissfully unaware child, and in a moment’s notice, she could understand every heinous detail about the outside world, or at least she could try. It was like it was built into them now.
“But they’re gone now, right?” she asked, grabbing her rabbit and holding it close to her chest. “They’re not going to hurt anyone else?”
He reached his hand over to stroke her hair, now slightly messy from contact with her pillow. “I don’t know, baby,” he said honestly. “But Momma and me, and Uncle Aaron, and Aunt Michonne, and everyone else here… We’re gonna try real hard to make sure it doesn’t happen again, and to keep you safe. That’s what I know.”
Robin nodded her head, but looked worried still, and her eyes became glassy as a line of tears formed above her lower eyelid. All he wanted to do was catch those tears before they could even fall, but they did fall, gently down the curves of her naturally rosy cheeks. He immediately lowered his hand to wipe them away with his thumb, though he couldn’t keep them away for long.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?” he asked. “Why’re you cryin’?”
Of course, there was much for a child to cry about, he knew that, but Robin always tried to keep herself from crying. Somewhere along the line, she began to hold her tears back as much as she could. You were sure it was the influence of the other children, and the fact that she’d once been teased for crying after being called a “tattletale,” ratting out another child for stealing Father Gabriel’s hat. There was a handful of children, both Robin’s age and older, who ridiculed her, either for crying or for some other reason beyond the little girl’s control, usually her parents or her intelligence.
If she cried from the teasing, that became just another reason to make fun of her, so she had begun suppressing the emotion, much to your worry, and Daryl’s too. He’d had a similar experience growing up, though he was encouraged not to cry.
She couldn’t hold back these tears now, though, not when so many people had died, and she knew they wouldn’t come back.
“I don’t want anything to happen to you and Mommy,” she said shakily. “I’m scared.”
He tilted his head, then quickly wrapped his arms around her, rocking her back and forth as she cried into his shoulder. “Hey,” he said softly. “Nothin’s gonna happen to us.” His heart broke at the whimpers and muffled sobs. Even Dog noticed the girl’s distress, and nuzzled his nose under the crook of Daryl’s arm to wedge his snout there, trying to touch Robin. “I know she don’t show it much, but your momma’s tough as nails when she wants to be, and I’m just too mean to die.”
Robin let out a giggle through her tears, and lifted her head from Daryl’s shoulder to look at him. Her face was red and raw with tears, and the whites of her eyes were red, too, but the wide smile on her face, lifting her cheeks to the heavens and radiating such warmth and love and hope… Well, it reminded him of a certain woman he knew.
“You’re not mean,” she corrected as she rubbed her eyes and sniffled. “You’re just a little grumpy sometimes, but that’s okay.” Daryl furrowed his brows and gave the girl a teasing frown, which quickly morphed into a smile. She leaned forward to kiss his nose, with an exaggerated “mwah” for good measure. He blinked tightly at the sensation, but let out a jolly laugh.
Dog lifted his head to look up between Daryl and Robin, now whining slightly at not receiving attention. “Oh, really?” Daryl asked the canine, raising his hand to begin petting his head as Robin stroked his furry back. Dog began licking Daryl’s face, causing him to grimace in disgust. “Goddamnit, Dog!”
Robin shook her head. “Language, Daddy.”
He huffed. Ever since her, Judith, and Gracie decided to each implement a swear jar in their respective homes, Daryl was under immense pressure not to use any bad words, which he supposed was good, since it was a habit he was trying to break anyway around Robin. The girl was more absorbent than a dry sponge.
Only thing was, the pennies he had to put in there were useless in this world, but he played along anyway, always carrying a few in his pocket.
“One penny, right?” he asked, pushing Dog from his face.
She nodded. “Mhm.”
Daryl rose from the bed, and pulled an old, dirty penny from his back pocket, dropping it in the small mason jar covered in ballerina stickers on her dresser. “M’kay,” he said, turning around to face her and replacing the covers over her body. “Time for bed now. You still got school in the mornin’. You ain’t missin’ no more.”
“But—”
He looked at her sternly, as sternly as he could. That little girl could break his will more than any interrogator or torturer this side of the Mississippi. “No buts about it, missy. All the other kids gotta go, so you do too, and I’m the one who’s gotta get ya up and at ‘em in the mornin’. Come on, settle in.”
She reluctantly lowered herself down, resting her head on the pillow and snuggling with her bunny again. He tucked her in tightly, making sure she was nice and snug underneath her multitude of blankets, since it was going to be a cold autumn night.
“There ya go, snug as a bug in a rug,” he said.
He kissed her forehead, and Dog repositioned himself to a circular shape by her feet. “Kiss Dog goodnight, too,” she said.
Daryl huffed, looking between his daughter and his “son.” He shook his head. “The things I do,” he grumbled, and leaned down to press a very quick, light kiss between Dog’s pointed ears. He leaned up to look at Robin again, who was holding back a small giggle at the man’s obedience. “Goodnight, Robin,” he said, unable to hold back his own small smile. She was too precious. “Sweet dreams. Love ya.”
“Love you, Daddy. Goodnight.”
He moved to turn down her lantern, and then crossed over to switch on her nightlight, the one that took up generator power, but he always told Robin it kept away the monsters, so she needed it.

My thoughts on Episode 6--On the Inside
Very appropriate title by the way.  Works in a multitude of ways.
As always, my randomness is going beneath a cut again to spare the eyeballs of those of you that don’t want to see it at all and also?  Help those of you that have somehow stayed spoiler-free in this brand-new age of early release episodes.  It is still so wild to me that I’m a full episode ahead of half the fandom.  I don’t know what I’m going to do when we get to the final episode and they decide to make us all suffer together--because somehow I do feel they will do exactly that after spoiling us for the first 23 episodes.  It is going to be agonizing.
Anyway.  Without further ado, Shae’s stream of consciousness review (of sorts).
Not fair, Angela.  Opening the episode with that shot of that big ass spider.  I hate those suckers.  So naturally, they’re an easy sell for setting the horror scene to me, lol.
Okay.  Who the hell’s chasing Virgil and Connie?  Walker No-See-Ums?
Barely a minute in and the atmosphere for this episode is moody AF.
What is this?  Tara Jr. The Walking Dead?  LOL.  Where’s the Scarlett for this mini plantation house?  Anyway.  First three minutes of this episode?  Just as attention grabbing as the first five episode openings this season.  I don’t think people out there are giving our writers enough love for that.  Every episode so far has opened like a mini movie.
With the way the Walking Dead logo keeps crumbling away with each successive episode, somehow it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the Carol and Daryl spinoff was eventually titled The Living and had flowers growing out of each letter, lol.  I mean, there would be a certain sort of life-affirming symmetry in a show that’s been promised to be much lighter in tone doing just that.
More Carol and Aaron?  Yes, please.  I don’t necessarily like Carol staying at home and sitting the sidelines like a figurative happy little homemaker in the B story while the rest of the mains are trying like hell to sell the A story, but if she’s going to be totally prohibited from the main storyline until it’s time to blow shit up?  I’m going to continue enjoy getting to see her do what she should have been doing for seasons--interacting with others in the community, especially Aaron and the ladies.
Truly.  I really am loving my girl getting some quality Aaron and Rosita time.  It’s so long overdue.
Bless sweet Kelly.  Riding off to her sister’s rescue.
Why isn’t Lydia shown as part of these plans?  For someone that could barely read last season, I doubt that big ass map was a piece of cake for her and it’s all just guesswork anyway without her guidance.  I mean, why does it feel like they are cutting some of this stuff that might not seem like much plot-wise but would go a long way toward establishing different character beats?  Personally, I would have loved to see her involved in the search and sharing scenes again with Carol and bonding with Kelly.
Virgil be having that “I always feel like somebody’s watching me” feeling.  Don’t you hate that, lol?
“You haven’t slept in days.”  But how many days, Virgil?  I’m going to need a number because I’m confused AF about this timeline at this point.  What we’re seeing and what different pieces of dialogue is telling us is not exactly lining up.  I’m going to find it awful hilarious if it hasn’t even been two weeks since the cave in.  For reasons.
Connie’s spidey senses are clearly tingling.
Alrighty, then.  She’s clearly got PTSD.  Understandable.  They’ve all had it.  Some have been treated more sympathetically than others, though.
I mean, it never seems to cross anybody’s mind how Carol probably sees Henry’s head on that pike, Mika’s pale and bloody body, Lizzie crumpled face down in a bed of yellow flowers, Sophia with a smoking bullet hole through her undead head whenever she closes her eyes but whatever.
Okay though.  But what if Connie had really shitty, impossible to read handwriting?  AKA doctor’s  handwriting.  What then?
Leah’s face honestly twists my insides whenever I see it, lol.  It’s quiet a visceral thing.  No, that does not make me a horrible person.  Not everybody wants or has to drink the awesome, great, redeemable villainess Kool-Aid.  IMHO, she’s got a face meant for a Walker.  Perfect makeover idea.  Eh.  Mostly it’s her expression and the deadness of her eyes.
Anyway.  Why is it always the fingers?  Eff that.
Listen.  If ya’ll can’t tell Daryl’s conflicted AF with the situation he’s landed in, you don’t know how to read NR’s face and eyes.  He’s not a masterclass like MMB but he’s pretty darn good when he wants to be.
I honestly feel sorry for Redshirt Frost.
“You do what you gotta do.”  Frost knows what’s what and he’s willing to walk the walk for Maggie.  Impressive loyalty.  I’m left wondering how the current, colder incarnation of Maggie inspired it because I’m still struggling to see it.  Anywho.  My point is the dude knows the score and just gave Daryl the okay.
Daryl taking off his angel vest before stepping into the role of torturer/interrogator=him shedding the persona/the man Judith and RJ and Lydia and Carol know him to be.  Pushing away his man of honor status so he can just survive somehow.
Pope never quits chewing whatever the hell he’s got in his mouth.  It’s kind of distracting.
Ohhh.  We’re back to the Haunted Mansion.  I mean house.  Where are the Hitchhiking Ghosts?
All the eyes scratched out of those creepy pictures=spooky.
The good old fogged up bathroom mirror shot.  Somebody’s been watching and studying their horror movies, lol.  Not gonna lie though.  I’m legit bracing myself for the jump scares I know have to be coming.
I’m loving the music/score in these scenes.
Truthfully, I could care less about these Reapers.  But they are hella attractive, lol.  Listen.  Angela knows what she’s doing.
Kelly’s horse is so pretty.  Prayer chain for that baby.
More dead horses?  Why?
Connie’s slingshot?  Sorry.  I maintain, no matter how much I like these two, that they have the lamest weapons ever.  Endless supply of Virginia rocks or not.
So.  Did Virgil and Connie enjoy a little equine for dinner?  Did they kill it before the Walkers fed?  What monsters!  Yeah, no.  Not if they were starving even if I personally could not have.  The more probable story is they fled the camp in a panic and left the horse behind and then it went down.  Sorry.  I didn’t exactly study the wounds on the poor animal because it is so traumatizing to me to continue to see them meet such dastardly ends on this show.  I don’t know who the hell has such a score to settle with horses but stop it.
Days.  It’s only been days.  Not weeks.  So many times with all that Daryl and Company have had to contend with since the cave in?  Those do not exist, lol.  They’re just a convenient, appeasing piece of dialogue thrown at a fanbase primed and ready to read everything into not much of anything.  There’s just not been enough time for it to happen unless Daryl has literally been up 24/7 for all of them.  You know, strategizing how to attack the remainders of Alpha’s horde, figuring out how to defend Hilltop before it fell, healing from the wound he sustained at Alpha’s hand, sitting on that log all damn night with Negan waiting on Carol to come home, having a lover’s quarrel with his best damn everything, taking care of the Grimes babies and Lydia, being the reluctant leader.  Kang, why you playing them like that?  Daryl’s a super guy but he’s not a superhuman with clones.  So many times my ass.
Seriously.  Who been watching Connie and Virgil?  The MIA Oceansiders?  Beta’s Fee Fi Fo Fum Ghost?
Nice.  A Michonne mention.  Maybe the truth will start to trickle out.
LMAO at Connie’s “I’m not staying here.”  Me neither, girl.  I would be outta that house so fast.
They really “Quiet Placing” this episode.  Honestly?  I’m kinda loving it.
WTF was that?  I know she can’t hear but you telling me all the little hairs on her arms, legs, and neck didn’t stand the fuck up and say fuck this shit, I’m gone?  Pardon my language, lovelies, but that moment had my heart kicking up several beats.
Okay, okay.  To be fair to Connie, every hair on her body been doing that since the front door closed.  Maybe they’re desensitized.
Gollum’s chasing Connie!!!  He/She wants their Precious!!!
The knee jerk reactions about this episode sight unseen are OTT, honestly.  And I mean no disrespect by saying that.  I can understand completely where they’re coming from because we’ve been burned so long in this fandom.  But it’s obvious the spoiler source has their particular biases and reads into things in such a way that don’t line up with what’s actually being shown onscreen.  Daryl’s loyalty in this episode and all along quite clearly lies with his family and his community.  He’s been playing Leah since the start and is truly just trying to survive somehow.
Awful thought.  The Reaper that’s so suspish of Daryl--haven’t quite caught his name or really cared to.  I feel like he might try to get to Daryl somehow.  When he realizes that Daryl cares no more for Leah than any human would care for somebody (they thought) they used to know?  He’s going after Dog.  Or Carol should she finally join this story.
I refuse to believe Carol isn’t going to be a part of this story.  Because they messing with her mans, lol.
“You’re ever with us or you’re not.”  Now where have I heard those words before?  I wish I could find that Daryl gif because that had to be one of the funniest things ever, lol.
Unrealistic suggestion to Daryl, Leah?  Breathing oxygen seems to piss off Carver.  Oh look.  He finally has a name for me, lol.
I love how all three of the ladies--Carol, Magna, and Rosita--look at Kelly with such indulgent, adoring “little sis, you alright?” eyes.
They are seriously the most beautiful quartet of characters.  I mean all of them are lovely but Carol and Rosita this season?  Ugh.  The unfairness of the pretty.
Human bones.  Terminus callback, lovelies.  How it all would have eventually gone down if Gareth and Co. hadn’t met the business end of Rick’s red machete.
So many horror movie homages in this one.
Virgil’s like “let’s leave this Texas Chainsaw Massacre behind.”
Connie and Virgil have obviously bonded, ya’ll.  I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying their scenes together when the character mostly got on my nerves with Michonne.  He’s a good actor and the core of his character is sympathetic, but I’m not going to lie.  I wasn’t super enthused when he was the one that rescued Connie because I didn’t know how their scenes would play out. But there’s a nice synergy there.
Okay.  Does Carver want Leah for himself?  Because I’m sure Daryl at this point would love to scream “take her, I know where I fucking belong!”
Daryl’s digging in deep because Carver has shown him Leah’s potential weak spot.  Nuance is truly lost on some people, LMAO.  He cares about Leah as a human being probably.  He’s Daryl, after all.  The sweet one.  But he sees her as his way outta this and he’s going to exploit it.
It’s nice to have a silent Negan for once, lol.  I can pretend he didn’t take my baby Glenn away from me and enjoy JDM’s pretty.
So.  These cannibal people were the watchers?  Hmm.
I’m really digging Virgil 2.0.  Yeah.  Nobody’s surprised more than me.
Sweet, sweet scene between Virgil and Connie.  His determination to reunite her with her family brings back the sympathy I felt for him when he told Michonne “I promised her flowers.  Every day.”
Damn.  How many of those creepy crawly cannibals are there?
How brave of Connie to confront her fears to save someone she’s obviously grown to care about.
The Kelly/Connie reunion gave me chills and made me cry.  Thank fuck Angela didn’t cheapen that moment by having it focus on literally anybody else.  Kelly is the most important person in the whole world to Connie and vice versa.  Just like Carol is the most important person in the whole world to Daryl and vice versa.  Angela fucking knows.  Everybody does.  Except the people busy building castles out of sand while the waves of Carol’s and Daryl’s converging stories keep crashing closer and closer to shore.
Such a beautiful moment given to us by Angel Theory and Lauren Ridloff.  So authentic and sweet.  Kelly and Connie are home to each other.
Poor Frost.  That’s all I gotta say about that.
WTF, though.  Was Mel just not available or what?  I want to see more of the ASZ characters that I care about, not the Reapers.  Like I’d be fine with the story if all the characters not named Maggie, Negan, or Daryl weren’t surviving on crumbs during it.  Especially the 2nd billed actress on the entire show.  Angela.  Please.  Fix this.
One last WTF.  Seriously.  WTF has Maggie done to inspire Pope’s obsession?  It better be juicy after all this shit.
Overall impression of the episode--
One of my favorites of the season so far.  The horror aspects were fantastic, IMHO. I truly didn’t expect to like Connie and Virgil’s scenes as much together so that was a nice surprise.  She got the reunion that felt most true and earned for the character and her story and I thank Angela from the bottom of my heart for that.
I would have loved more Carol but I always want more Carol.  I’m okay with her taking a backseat because ultimately?  This was Kelly’s moment with her sister.  Carol and Connie will eventually have their time to sit down and talk.  And pick back up their blossoming friendship because I truly do not feel Connie blames Carol at all.
I do wish Lydia had been included with the girl group.  Last episode felt like it was leading up to that.
The Reaper storyline continues to be the weakest link because every time we see them the dialogue and interactions feel totally recycled from the time previous.  I feel like it would have totally been helped by a tighter focus and less stretching out because 8 episodes of this is really diluting what I feel like Angela and Co. are going for.  I’m not here for Leah being redeemed or being a bigger focus in any of the episodes because she does nothing of interest for me.  I’m just peeking in on that story for the Daryl of it all.
Speaking of the Daryl? You lovelies out there gotta stop taking that spoiler source’s recaps at face value because it’s obvious to me at least that there’ some bias at work.  Every action and word coming from Daryl is coming from a place of loyalty to his family and wanting to protect them, no matter how he has to dirty his hands.  Leah is just a means to his ultimate end.  She’s not his future.  She never was.  His future’s already spoken for and 2023 can’t get  here soon enough.  But like Daryl, we have to just survive somehow.
Oh goodie.  More Maggie and Negan next episode and looks like no real follow up on Connie and the ASZ reunions.  Hopefully, this is yet another instance of the previews being deceiving but I’m not holding my breath.
Until later, lovelies.
Hope my word vomit didn’t bore you too much.

Baumhaus Uni life just got even weirder
Hiiii People this is me author of the day ( honestly I just neglected all the work I need to do for 3 hours you better be thankful XD) I'll update maybe once a week? If I can make it? For now I just really wanted the idea out of my head and into chapter 1 :D It is not proof read, ignore any grammar or spelling mistakes XD
„Lea wake up. Lea. Goddamnit Julia could I get some help over here I really don’t want to be late for our first day!” Lea groaned and rolled over, not for the first time cursing her friend who was worse than any alarm clock.
She tried to peel open her eyes and saw Hanna standing in the door, still trying to fix her mess of hair with some product by looking into her mirror at the other side of the room. There were slow footsteps in the hall as Julia walked into the room and fell next to Lea on the bed.
“Move” she instructed, getting under the blankets. Grunting Lea wiggled to make room for her friend who pretended to fall asleep again. The only thing that was an indicator that she was already awake was the fact that she was dressed in jeans and a simple t-shirt and not in her RJ Pajamas. “Lier she already woke you up!” Lea accused and tried to grab the blanket from Julia again.
Dishes where heard clirring in the kitchen, followed by Hanna shouting “Wait girls, why is our coffee empty I thought we still had coffee, ohmygod how will I make it through the morning.” The stress was clear in her voice but that made the girls only laugh silently. “We’re gonna stop by Dynamite Coffee today don’t worry!” Julia answered loud enough for Hanna to hear. The girl came back into view. “Ah yes for us to make it in time though we really need to be out of the house in 5” she said, hands on her hips. Lea groaned again, though the promise of good coffee made getting up a bit more appealing. Dynamite had this really great Vanilla-Caramel Frappé creation, and as it was the first day of hell, aka the new semester, the motto was treat yourself with sugar. “Veto on the shower” she finally said, pushing the blankets (and Julia) out of the bed to get up. “Dude no need to call Veto you know I only shower in the evening” said Hanna, going back to her room. Lea blinked and looked down at Julia, who was apparently also dressed.
“Ok , at least give me 10 minutes”
They somehow still made it out of the house with time to spare and luckily there weren’t that many people waiting in Line at the coffee-shop. Lea grinned when she saw Jimin was working today. Hanna ordered first, black coffee and the biggest vegan sandwich they had on display, Julia some iced tea and something sweet. Jimin grinned and went into full pose when he saw Lea, who had already gotten into some extra stance, with her hand on one hip, the other going through her hair as Jimin would often do. “Good morning Sunshine what can I get you?” Jimin said, completing his sentence with a wink.
Lea rolled her eyes. “More like raincloud you know what day it is today, though I appreciate the positivity.” Lea answered, following up with “The usual with extra syrup please.” Jimin went to work as Hanna and Julia went beeline for their usual seat at the window. Lea stayed at the counter for a moment longer, as there wasn’t really anyone waiting to order anyway right now.
“Why do you have the morning shift today don’t you have classes?” She asked her best friend, who was busy creating magic in the form of caffeinated drinks. “Hah do you think I’m gonna turn up the first day, people might think I’m actually taking studying serious. I really don’t want to ruin my reputation like that!” Lea grinned “I wish, But I think you-know-who drinking her black coffee over there would have killed me!” Jimin finished her drink and slid it over in one fluid movement, perfectly in sync for Lea to grab the cup.
“Yea, to be honest though most of my classes start in the afternoon this semester.” Lea nodded. Jimin was a dance major and most of the morning classes where often the theoretical kind in the lecture halls. And she couldn’t really picture Jimin turning up for dance history at 8am on a Monday morning either.
“Well, I’ll see you around then, I’m going to inhale this now and hope it helps with my class at least.” She sighed. “You know my magic always works” Jimin smiled. “Don’t worry what is it again that you have today? Fashion history? You passed that one with flying colors last semester and I don’t think I’ve ever seen you study for it.”
“Yeah, but only because I already know most of the material, which still makes it a super boring class to sit in” Jimin moved a hand through his orange hair in his trademark way, before putting it on Leas Hand, morphing his face into somewhat of a pretend-pity-pout. “Don’t worry I promise I’m going to invite you to our party on Friday if you live through the week” Lea slapped his Hand away, though her eyes gave away that she was intrigued. “Your fraternity already planning for the first party of the semester?” Jimin puffed out his chest proudly. “What do you think, Beta Tau Sigma doesn’t sleep, and like hell, we’re going to top last semesters opening party by far!” He announced.
Beta Tau Sigma was probably most known for their party’s and pretty boys around Campus and while there were a bunch of different fraternities as Jimin would say “Don’t fraternitise with the enemy, especially not alpha delta psi”. In that moment the doorbell rung, signalizing a new wave of costumers. Lea turned around one last time saying “Don’t forget to keep me updated” before going to sit over to her friends. When she turned around she saw an old woman, maybe a professor?, stumble while she was trying to stand up from her table. Without thinking and in a moment of unknown agility Lea helped steady the woman and her tea set, so it wouldn’t shatter into a thousand pieces on the floor. “Wow are you alright?” She asked when the woman didn’t move for a second. She turned her head up and blinked up at her with incredibly light blue eyes. “Ah yes, thank you very much young lady!” She moved to put back her plate and cup and went to the door, when Lea shook her head and noticed she had left a little bag on her chair. She grabbed it and ran after the woman but when she looked around it seemed like the old lady had vanished into thin air.
“I guess I’ll maybe take this to the campus fundus later” She shrugged and placed the little item in her bag before joining her friends for breakfast.
“Ah Lea!” Hanna said, while swallowing the last of her sandwich. She placed her heads on the table and leaned forward in a serious manner. “Guess what Tae is actually in my art history class this semester!” She smiled and Julia gave Lea the look, they always shared when it came to Hanna and that certain boy. “Yeah guess how she found out, Tae just messaged her happily how his best friend ever being in the same class is just the greatest thing that happened to him today” Lea snickered and took a huge slurp from her drink. Whatever they put in there truly was like magic, lighting up her mood. Or maybe it’s just the sugar. “Hanna blinked at them, but before she could ask why they were being weird again Lea decided to share her news. “And guess what I just heard; beta tau sigma  is returning to the scene this Friday with their legendary semester opening party!” Julia clapped her hands together “Dude yes we totally need to go!” She high fived Lea, both of them starting to plan their outfits and makeup for the day. “I have to hope there’s just no student council on Friday or I’ll just come Later” Hanna, who had just taken out her calendar and was nibbling on her pen said. Lea took her calendar and a pen from her bag, before writing in big, bold letters PARTY in the spot for Friday. She closed it, throwing it back into Hanna’s’ bag. Hanna gaped at her, but she just took another slurp of her Frappé “Don’t tell me you want to miss out on the chance of Tae freestyling something again for boring student council”  Hanna started mumbling something about “Not that boring but…” when Julia groaned and leaned back in her chair. “Now that you mention that maybe I will come a bit later when that part of the evening is over” “Well I’m sure Suga is already appointed as the real DJ for the evening.” “Touché I’m back on board”
Lea entered the Lecture hall right on time, heading straight for a place in the last row, before pulling out her I-pad that automatically connected with the university Wlan. Thank god for that because without some distractions she truly wouldn’t survive the class. Fashion history, while being one of the more interesting subjects, was taught by an old white man called Mr. Park Jin-young and his lecture style was awkward at best and dead-boring at worst. She was really just here for attendance credits anyway, as most of the material she already knew from her free time research. The decision to study fashion was really something that happened after a failed- first attempt at studying  “something useful” as her father had called it, while she just spat on it as economics hell. Julia might be convinced that subject was actually exciting, but she wasn’t fooling anyone. Economics was really just the first nail in her coffin and after dropping all her mandatory classes after one semester she decided to switch over to something that actually interested her. While she didn’t want to go full design category, though that would’ve put her in some classes with Tae or Hanna, she decided to major in Fashion history and Costume design, hoping to work for film or theatre one day, whichever way it worked out really.  The class passed slower than ever, Lea caught up with the Baumhaus Blog, a university legend really as it was written by someone who clearly had all the intel into not only University politics but also most classes and famous people. Some thought it was led by the actual university president itself, as he was the only one who was always present for the last 20 years when the blog had first started out as a makeshift website. Another popular theory was that the blog was passed on from the founder to different people and every time they graduated the moderator would change as well. Lea thought that theory was more plausible, because not only would it be weird for the Uni president to trash himself in third person but also it seemed like the style had changed ever so slightly last year and 3 years before that, as Julia had once explained to her. The newest entry was about the Party on Friday, which wasn’t that surprising because for Beta Tau Sigma to keep a secret for more than an hour was nearly impossible. Not only did they have the eyes of fangirls on them, but the own members weren’t really secretive about their activities either, as much as Jimin would like to make it out to be.
The class wrapped up a tiring 2 hours later and Lea’s stomach grumbled, reminding her that she hadn’t really eaten anything this morning. She stood up, after quickly noting down the first assignment because of course Mr. Park wanted them to have an essay ready by next week already, that asshole.
The prospect of Jimin maybe still being on shift made her steer back to Dynamite Coffee, as it was also the most convenient option around Campus unless you actually dared to eat the Mensa food.
The ringing of the bell for a second time that day and the smell of coffee was so comforting, she nearly forgot all about the assignment that she had to finish already this week. Well, nearly. Lea looked around, the coffee shop was a lot busier now, as many people had the same idea to drop by during classes. Behind the counter it actually wasn’t only Jimin now, but also another guy with black hair. His sleeves were pushed up over his elbows revealing tattoos that were all over his forearm and fingers. Lea vaguely remembered seeing his face somewhere, though she couldn’t quite place it. Before she could catch Jimin’s eye he vanished in the back for something, and she sighed. “Eh excuse me could I take your order?” She looked up, confused that it was already her turn but apparently the people in front of her were in a group. She looked at the food options to the left. “I’ll take one grilled cheese sandwich and a Nutella muffin” She said, looking back up at the waiter. And suddenly she remembered where she knew him from. “Holy shit you’re stock-photo guy!” She blurted out. The guy just took out her muffin from the display and nearly dropped it because of her sudden outburst. He blushed and looked at her stammering something incoherently. “Oh my god I’m right! I always see you in memes all over Tumblr oh my god!” In that moment Jimin came from the back grinning at Lea and throwing an arm around Bartender guy. “I knew I heard your voice and yes this is our newest addition to the team may I present Model and photography student Jeon Jungkook”. Jeon Jungkook looked very uncomfortable and busied himself with trying and somehow failing to place Lea’s muffin in a bag. Lea shook her head in a small laugh, her blonde hair falling out from behind her ear. “Damn Jimin and I thought you were the only model allowed to serve coffee out here, seems new guy as you beat in popularity as I saw his ‘model photos’ somewhere else than his own Instagram thirst-tap page.” Jimin crossed his arms in mock-offend while Jungkook finally gave the bag with food over to Lea. “Here’s your dude- I mean food” he said groaning a little about his slip of tongue. “Thanks dude” Lea grinned, placing her EC card over the card reader to pay. “You’re taking it to-go?” Jimin asked. “Yeah I wanna go home for a second before my next class, I want to pick up a book that I left lying there and you know I need a good book to survive literature” “Wow that is so wannabe-author of you” Jimin answered. Lea picked up her things and waved “Thanks I’ll take it, Bye Jimin, bye stock-photo-guy!”
Considering that she had some time before her next class Lea sat down in the kitchen with her freshly-warmed up sandwich and looked around her bag for her iPad. She placed it on the table, when her hand felt something else inside the bag.
Confused she pulled it out of her bag and placed it on the table. It was the thing the old lady had forgotten in the coffee shop earlier that morning. “Shit I totally forgot to drop it off at the fundus” Lea said. Curious she opened up the bag, figuring it wouldn’t hurt to take a small look inside. It was a silver ring, beautifully crafted. She turned it around in her hand admiring the weight and style of it. Her own fingers were always full of different rings and this one was actually really pretty the more she looked at it. Before she could put it back in her bag her phone suddenly started ringing. Lea carefully placed the ring back on the little bag it came in and fished out her phone from the depth of her bag. “What the-“ The caller ID showed Julia’s name, though that was weird, because Julia was supposed to sit in class right now and she usually wasn’t one to ditch a class that easily.
“Hello girl what’s up?” Lea asked into the phone. Through the line she could hear some wind crashing and other sounds but Julia started speaking before she could even wonder further. “GIRL, where are you right now?” She asked kind of frantically. “Huh I came home for my break why?” “There’s a supervillain that just crashed into your lecture hall and I didn’t remember if you still had class” Lea pulled her eyebrows together, concentrating to make out Julia’s voice with all the background commotion. “What is that some joke?!” “You need to look at the Baumhaus blog, there’s some footage up already” Julia continued talking, through most of it was drowned out by the bad connection while Lea swiped her iPad open. And somehow, she couldn’t believe her eyes. “What the fuck-?” she whispered, when the line went dead. Suddenly worried Lea jumped up and whirled around when a bright green flash illuminated the kitchen. She screeched some high note and fell back against the sink closing her eyes. When she reopened them, she saw something floating over her left-over sandwich. Said something sniffed her half-eaten sandwich. What was happening? “Oh my god is that … cheese” Said something exclaimed. “I haven’t had that in a century!”
Lea, finding her voice and body connection again jumped up from her place at the floor and she pointed accusingly at the thing that had just started eating her lunch with huge bites.
“What the fuck!” She exclaimed again, and while it wasn’t her most eloquent moment, she truly couldn’t find any words to better describe the situation.
The something looked up at her as if just remembering she was here. “Oh hi. I’m Plagg. Let me just eat first than we can go deal with that akuma”
“Aku-what?” Lea asked slowly sitting down in front of the black creature. It kind of resembled a small cat now that she looked at it. Plagg ate the last of that sandwich in a huge bite that shouldn’t be possible for his small statue and happily rubbed his belly. “Look girl, I am a kwami, and the god of destruction” he started, flowing from the plate towards the ring. “And it’s just your luck you seem to be my new holder, as you own my ring now.” He took the ring and placed it down in front of a still silently staring Lea. “This is a dream or something, maybe I woke up in one of my fantasy novels” the girl whispered, taking the ring hesitantly. It felt cool and very real against her skin. She slipped it on one of her fingers and found out it somehow fit perfectly. “Nonono this is actually real life; I know that because I just ate very real yummy cheese, and it tastes better than in my dreams. Now we have to deal with a supervillain, but don’t worry Ladybug will surely help you so you won’t have to fight him alone. We need her power anyway as you will sure learn. Your power is more awesome anyway it’s called cataclysm and it is all about destroying stuff. Anyway listen. You mustn’t tell anyone about this okay, most important rule. “Lea blinked down at the small creature. Ladybug? Fighting a supervillain? What the hell was going on?
“Now after you say, ‘claws out’ we can actually start trying to find that villain-“ Plagg certainly wanted to go on, but as if still in denial Lea repeated “Claws out?” confused and everything happened at once.
The small creatures’ eyes widened, and he opened his mouth but suddenly he was gone, and Lea was standing in the apartment in a leather suit. She looked down at her hands that were clad in leather as well, her nails seemingly got sharper under the material.
She rushed out into the hall, towards the mirror and stopped as she looked at herself. She was wearing a freaking leather catsuit. “Again. What. The. Fuck” She looked down at herself and up into the mirror. Her eyes where light green and very cat like under a black mask that obscured her face around the eyes. Lea turned around, admiring how the material seemed to fit just right in all places and she noticed a little stick in her belt, that also kind of looked like a cat’s tail. She took it and pressed a paw-shaped button, causing the thing to open up with all kinds of options. And suddenly she somehow, as if it was instinctual, knew what she had to do. She ran back into the kitchen, checking Baumhaus blog which was still reporting life on the incident. The supervillain apparently had moved on toward the art building And Lea remembered Tae and Hanna were supposed to be there right about now.
She sprinted out onto the balcony and in a jump, that could only be described as very daring or downright suicidal, she leaped over the street. Her staff expended and like a pole-vaulter she reached the next rooftop unshattered. She stopped when her feet hit the roof, looking down at her slightly trembling hands. “Wow.” She breathed out and her face turned into a smile. “This is awesome!”
She pole-vaulted her way towards the campus which resulted her being there in second’s time. Deciding that looking at what was going on first might be a smart idea, she hid behind one of the chimneys. She peeked around again just in time to see something red and spotted crash down in front of her. On the roof. There were no red spotted giant birds as far as she was aware.
She peeked around again just in time to notice a guy with dark hair sitting up. He groaned and rubbed his head. He looked around and their eyes met, both blinking at the other person. “Wait…” Lea started, remembering some things that Plagg had been trying to tell her before she transformed. She eyed the suit that was skin-tight, showing the lean muscle of the guy in front of her, but most importantly it was reminiscent of a certain animal “Are you the Ladybug? Nice biceps by the way!” The guy shrugged and stood up to his full height. “More like Mr.Bug as you can see. And who are you?” He shot her a charming grin. Lea rolled her eyes. “I’m L-leather dressed superhero lady noir as you can see” For effect she bowed down. “And I thought my getup was bad but here you are running around like a domeownatrix!” Lea’s eyebrow twitched under her mask and she decided that maybe, she did not like this guy. “I’d take my suit any day over that spotted fashion disaster you are sporting.” She shot back but Mr.Bug only smiled, striking a pose. “Oh, really you don’t spot something you like?” “More like you are bugging me already-“ she started, when suddenly a huge rock was thrown their way causing them both to jump apart and turn around.
Oh right. There was that problem with the supervillain.
LMAO :D:D:D:D:D Did you see that coming? A reverse Miraculous AU because I can. And we are only just getting started.

I’ve only recently discovered bts and haven’t been able to stop listening to them. They’ve been around a lot longer than I realised and was wondering If you’d be able to explain some things about them, how they became bts. Traits that you’ve noticed they all have?
Oh wow! hahaha Hi! Welcome to the BTS Fandom! Fans are called ARMY. Yes, BTS literally has an ARMY of followers. (notice me not explaining what ARMY means lmao). While starting to write this, I realized I could write a whole book about it, which honestly, some people have. LMAO So I’ll try and make this informative starting with the foundations of BTS, the members, and the official links LMAO I also tagged some bias tumblr pages and group update pages.
Foundations:
Also, yes! BTS has been an active idol group since 2013. They had their first live stage on June 13, 2013.  They are managed by a company called BigHit and was founded by a famous Korean composer named, Bang Shihyuk, more known in the K Music industry as Hitman Bang. The company itself was small and didn’t have big artists on it’s roll and roster yet, but the members and Bang PD took a chance on each other.
They had very humble beginnings. BigHit didnt have their own building, instead they rented some floors in one building. One floor was an office space, one was a practice studio, small room for recording, small rooms for production. The members themselves had to fit in one small bedroom with 3 double deck beds and a small solo bed for Jungkook.
Tumblr media
They first introduced themselves through a series of Vlogs before they even debuted as BTS, which actually means 방탄소년단 Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boyscouts). Initially, they were supposed to debut as a rap group but the company decided on making them an idol group.
Their music has always been targeted towards the millenial age group and their lyrics aspire to inspire the youth. They did produce a number of love songs that were pretty usual for kpop idols but as they found their voice and produced their own music, more of their colors as individuals shone through. They sang and wrote about their struggles, hopes, dreams, which a lot of us can relate to.
Members:
(leader, then in order of age, except suga last… cause… my favorite lmao)
All the members are quite filial, always talking about their family. They are also very humble are always in awe of how much they have achieved together. Their loyalty and care for each other is very apparent in the way they interact. They all have a good, weighted understanding of music and desire for growth in their skills.
Kim Namjoon (김남준 aka RM, formerly Rap Monster)
Tumblr media
position: leader, rapper
bday: September 12, 1994
height: 181 cm (5’11.3”)
family: parents, younger sister
hometown: Ilsan
BT21 character: Koya
Born in Ilsan, he is a smart cookie and an avid reader. It is a fact that his IQ grade is 148 and that along with his rapping prowess, made him a standout even as a rookie idol. He is also known as the English speaker of the group. According to him, he learned by watching the series FRIENDS and listening to western music. Before being part of BigHit, he was already gaining ground as an underground rapper under the name “Runch Randa” in 2007. He was only in middle school.
RM decided to join a rap crew called “Daenamhyup,” which consisted of some of the top underground rappers. RM then auditioned for another rap group which is where he met Untouchable’s Sleepy who was so impressed with him and he passed him onto Bang Shi Hyuk.
Bang PD basically created the whole idea of BTS around RM. He said that the moment he met RM he knew that he was special and it would be a waste of skill to not hone his talent.
RM now has the most production credits for the lyrics he writes and songs he produced for BTS. His lyrics are very poetic and are usually profound, finding root in various forms of literary works. He has a very commanding stage aura when he raps.
He has released 2 mixtapes so far.  His first mixtape RM was released on March 17, 2015 and his second, Mono was released last year, October 23, 2018. His studio is now Rkive (formerly Mon studio).
Personality wise, Namjoon is more timid than his stage persona. He enjoys quiet morning walks in nature. His song Reflection even has a layer of one of his recordings of his surrounding while at a park. He is very clumsy, hence his nickname in the group as “god of destruction”. He also has a very interesting take on fashion which you can see from his #kimdaily posts on twitter.
If you’d like to know more about RM I suggest you follow @kimdaily
Kim Seokjin (김석진 aka Jin)
Tumblr media
position: eldest, vocalist
bday: December 4, 1992
height: 179 cm (5’10.5”)
family: parents, older brother
hometown: Gwacheon
BT21 character: RJ
Though Seokjin is the eldest member of BTS, he often doesn’t act like it. He was street casted by BigHit. Idol companies usually do this in Korea when they find someone with standout visuals in a crowd. He was actually scouted by SM too (company managing EXO) but he thought it was a scam and he never showed up. He took his chances with BigHit.
He had no singing nor dancing exprience when he started training with BigHit. He wanted to be an actor. All of his skills come from sheer determination and hardwork. In my opinion, he has the most emotional voice among the members. His range has developed immensely.
Despite having a cheerful and light hearted persona, he is actually really deep and smart. He graduated from Konkuk University last February 22, 2017 with a degree in Film and Visual Arts and majored in Film and Acting. He was part of the early admissions list and is now taking his Masters degree for Film in Hanyang Online University.
Personality wise, he is loud and playful. He is also easily surprised. He gained the nickname “Worldwide Handsome” after his visuals and confidence made people pay attention during one of the red carpets in the US. His father is apparently a CEO and his mother is a beauty queen.
He said he gained his confidence after bleaching his hair blonde and gaining much reaction during their live performance of “FIRE” where he gave air kisses. To top his amazing visuals and vocals, he also plays the piano and the guitar. Oh! And he has a sugarglider as a pet. No joke.
If you’d like to know more about Jin I suggest you follow @jinfesta
Jung Hoseok (정호석 aka J-Hope)
Tumblr media
position: rapper, lead dancer
bday: February 18, 1994
height: 177 cm (5’9.7”)
family: parents, older sister
hometown: Gwangju
BT21 character: Mang
Jhope, also called fondly by the members as Hobi and Hoseoki, is the lead dancer of BTS. He had no rapping experience prior to training with Bighit and was initially trained to be a vocalist.
He was fairly known in the dance scene of his hometown and was even a part of a dance crew called “Neuron”. His love for dancing led him to audition as a trainee at a company called JYP (company that manages GOT7). He passed a few auditions there but was eventually cut as a trainee.
He didn’t give up though and went on to audition for BigHit. He started training as a vocalist for the supposed rap group which included RM and Suga, but due to the influence of the rap trainees around him, his affinity for rap and lyric writing grew.
He is now in charge of dance for BTS and though he doesn’t get much center formation attention or spotlight, everyone knows that he is the one helping the most with choreographies and training each member. He is very detail oriented and is very observant of each member. Namjoon even said that if he wasn’t the leader, he would want Jhope to be the leader.
He has a number of production credits too and released his own mix tape, Hope World on March 1, 2018. His studio is also called Hope World.
He has a very smiley persona and his energy is always alive. He is also the most easily scared, he is scared of almost everything! The members said that his happy persona came with the name, not that he was named Jhope for how he has always been. Jhope said that the name used to be burdensome but now he loves it and wears it with pride as the Hope of ARMY and BTS.
If you’d like to know more about Hobi I suggest you follow @hobies
Park Jimin (박지민 aka Jimin)
Tumblr media
position: vocalist, main dancer
bday: October 13, 1995
height: 173cm (5’8.1″)
family: parents, younger brother
hometown: Busan
BT21 character: Chimmy
Park Jimin is arguably one of the most charismatic idols out there right now. His duality of being sexy on stage and fluffy cute off stage make fans everywhere melt. This characteristic is shared mostly by the Maknae line (younger members line) of BTS.
He has had the shortest trainee period among the BTS members. before he joined Bighit, he attended the Busan High School of Arts, where he was a top student in the Department of Dance. His specialty is contemporary. One of his teachers urged him to audition for BigHit. His natural skills got him in. He trained as a vocalist under BigHit and now his vocal skills has improved largely as shown by his solo works.
He used to have chubby cheeks which earned him the nickname of Manggaettok (rice cake) and the members also call him ChimChim because of a show they had called American Hustle Life.
He is the most active on social media. He even posts for other members when the fans say they haven’t seen the members for too long. Most affectionate member also goes to him. He is often seen hugging or clinging on to the members. If a member cries, best believe Jimin will hug and comfort them after.
But Jimin isn’t all sweets, smiles, and sexiness. He is also very strong willed. He judges himself very harshly and strives for perfection. Lately, he has appeared to be more relaxed and said that he has been allowing himself to take breaks and also enjoy, which the fans who worry about him is very happy to know.
If you’d like to know more about Jimin I suggest you follow @jimiyoong and @jiminrolls
Kim Taehyung (김태형 aka V)
Tumblr media
position: vocalist
bday: December 30, 1995
height: 178 cm (5’10.1″)
family: parents, younger brother, younger sister
hometown: Born in Daegu, grew up in Geochang, went back to Daegu to study
BT21 character: Tata
The most handsome male specimen in the world for the year 2017. Kim Taehyung’s charms are endless. From his square shaped sheepish smile to his deadly on-stage smirks, it’s hard not to be drawn in by him.
He wasn’t planning on auditioning. He accompanied his friend who wanted to audition. The auditions were held in their school because he went to an arts HS.  The staff saw him there and convinced him to audition too. He trained his voice under BigHit too and now has the widest vocal range among them, not to mention his deep, soulful baritone balances out the vocals of the rest of the singing members.
He has a very keen eye for arts and aethetitics and he uses this for his hobby, photography. His favorite photographer, Vante even acknowledged his work. Tae-Tae, as Jimin fondly calls him, is the only one so far who has debuted as an actor among the members. He played the role of a young warrior in the series called Hwarang. His dancing has also improved. He didn’t have much dancing skills when he started, but his groove has now definitely changed and he has his own way of interpreting dance moves too.
In terms of lyrics writing and producing, like the other vocalists, his skills developed too. He co-wrote 4 o’ clock with RM and has continued to take part in writing for their songs.
Taehyung is very curious and unique. His laugh is deep and adorable. As part of the maknae line, he is also quite playful but his maturity has grown through the years. He has a pomeranian named Yeontan (coal brick), who is now one of the pets of the fandom.
If you’d like to know more about TaeTae I suggest you follow @twoy and @bwiae.
Jeon Jungkook (전정국 aka Jungkook)
Tumblr media
position: vocalist
bday: September 1, 1997
height: 178 cm (5’10.1”)
family: parents, older brother
hometown: Busan
BT21 character: Cooky
The baby of the group, Kookie. He is a well trained dancer with the smooth pop voice that carries most of the melodies of Bangtan’s songs.
Before joining BigHit, Jungkook auditioned for a talent show in Korea called SuperstarK. He didn’t make the cut for the show, but after the audtion, he received a number of calling cards from scouts of different big K-Idol companies, including the very small BigHit. Jungkook said that he chose BigHit because he was very impressed by RM. After he joined BigHit, he had the opportunity of being trained in LA for dance.
He has a tendency of starting different projects for himself, playing the drums, the guitar, etc. But, he found his niche in film production and even has his own brand of behind the scene footages of BTS under his production brand, Golden Closet Films.
He has been called the golden maknae because of his natural skills and visuals fit for being an idol, not to mention that body and his determination to keep working out for it. No wonder companies were eager to train him.
Jungkook has been growing in his music production too and has helped compose, produce and write some of their songs, like their song, Magic Shop. He is a powerhouse on stage and baby our of it. He looks up to his hyungs a lot and said that they basically brought him up since he started training at such a young age.
If you’d like to know more about Kookie I suggest you follow @aurjeon, @nochuie and @jjks
Min Yoongi (민윤기 aka SUGA)
Tumblr media
position: rapper
bday:March 9, 1993
height: 174 cm (5’8.5″)
family: parents, older brother
hometown: Daegu
BT21 character: Shooky
Suga’s love for music was developed at an early age. When he was 13 he started working at a studio to learn more about music production. As the years progressed he joined an underground rap group in Daegu called “D-Town.” And even before auditioning for BigHit, he has created beats for various underground big names in hiphop.
He auditioned through a hiphop competition called “Hit It” and he placed 2nd over all. He initially joined the company as a producer but Bang PD was able to convince him to be part of BTS. He still jokes that Bang PD tricked him into joining cause he thought it was going to be a rap group.
Though his outward demeanor seems cold and lazy, the members actually talk about how he spends most of his time working at his studio and going home when the sun comes up. He may also seem timid but he has been vocal about various social issues like LGBT, poverty and education. He has also made it a personal traidtion to donate to charities or gift fans on his birthday.
He released his mixtape Agust D on August 15, 2016. There he opened up about his struggle with mental health and his view of himself. He also narrated his journey to becoming part of BTS. His studio is called “Genius Lab.”
To date, Yoongi has helped in producing and writing a number of BTS songs too. He also produced a song titles Wine with K singer Suran which topped various Korean charts. It was in the end lauded and he received his first solo award for production. Hence his nickname, Min PD.
P.S.: I love him. LMAO

So, I decided to write about the weekend I saw BTS. I...think about it a lot honestly.
I wanted to take a moment to write about what was probably singlehandedly, the greatest weekend I have ever had. When BTS announced the Citi Field show, my friend and I decided to get tickets and make a weekend out of it. Once we managed to get tickets, which was stressful enough, we got a hotel room for the weekend as well. We stayed at one of the Hiltons, which wow. I LOVED that hotel and everything about it. It was SO nice.
So, we planned to take the train up to New York on Friday to avoid the horrendous parking fees that would come with driving. That was all well and good… Except my dumbass forgot the tickets at my apartment. An hour away from the train station. And there was construction happening on the highway, so it was even longer than that. We ended up getting to NYC a lot later than planned but it all ended up okay. We got there around 10 pm and made our way to the Line Store. Only to find a line outside and people saying they weren’t letting anyone else in. We shrugged and decided to head over to the hotel. We called an Uber since it was about a 20-25 minute drive from Times Square. As soon as we set foot in the room, both of us were enamored with the view. It was dark, but it was beautiful. I swear I would stay at that hotel again just to look out the window.
Saturday was everything I could have asked for and more. New York Comic Con (NYCC) was also happening that weekend. There was a One Piece themed café near the convention center and it just so happened that you didn’t need a badge to enter. We decided to go there for breakfast and it was so good!! I’m not normally one for breakfast but I loved it. Plus, seeing a life size cardboard cutout of Sanji was enough to make me happy. After that we decided to head over to the Line Store to see if we could get some BT21 merch. The line wrapped around the block and we stood in it for 3 hours. But we made a friend! And, even though they didn’t have everything I wanted, I was able to score some Cooky and Koya things and that’s good enough for me! My friend was able to get her Halloween RJ plush and gosh is it adorable.
We went straight to the venue after that and got our army bombs! Pretty much all the merch I wanted was sold out, so I settled for some photo cards. You can’t go wrong with them! We found our seats and let me tell you, I loved the view. Sure, it would have been cool to be closer, but I liked being able to see everything. Before the show started, they were playing BTS music videos and it was such a neat thing to hear the crowd freak out simply from that.
The show itself was everything I hoped for and more. From beginning to end I was so caught up in the moment that I didn’t even notice the time when I’d take my phone out to take a photo or video. I could go into detail about every song, every dance routine, every outfit change, but I won’t. Instead I’ll just say that no artist I have ever seen before has made me feel such a range of emotions in such a short amount of time. RM gave a speech at the end of the show that has been with me ever since. I started crying as he was talking and didn’t stop until well after they left the stage.
Loving myself is something I’ve struggled with since I was a child. I’ve never felt like I was anything special or someone anyone should be happy about knowing. I always felt like everyone was too good to be around me and that they put up with me out of pity. I’ve mostly gotten past that as I grew up, but I’m still struggling to love myself. And hearing RM’s speech, hearing Answer: Love Myself live has had an effect on me. I catch myself having negative thoughts and actually try to change them.
As if this weekend couldn’t get any better, Sunday we decided to grab tickets to Animefest at NYCC because my favorite voice actor of all time was there, Ian Sinclair. He was having a signing at 2, so after we checked out of the hotel, we decided to head over to the convention to wander around before the signing. We bought some posters, met some armies who went to the show, almost cried again and generally had a great time. We stumbled upon some art of Mt. Lady from BNHA and got all excited because she’s one of our friend’s favorites. Turns out the person selling them was Jamie Marchi, AKA the English VA for her! We talked to her for a good 20 minutes and got her autograph too! She’s a sweetheart and I’m so glad we got to meet her! Then, it was time to meet Ian. I told him that our friend group has this thing where we recommend anime to each other. The thing is though, that we all say we’ll watch it blah blah. But all someone has to do is mention that Ian Sinclair has a role in it and it becomes an instant watch. He got all embarrassed after that, which honestly, was adorable. We talked about Baccano, One Piece, Hetalia and BNHA. It was such a joy and honor to finally be able to meet him. I’ve loved his voice ever since Baccano.
Basically, I had an incredible weekend with my best friend. And I swear it wouldn’t have been half as good if I had done this with anyone else. She’s honestly the greatest person and I’m so so so thankful that we met. I would have been embarrassed by how much I cried during the show if I was with anyone else. Instead, we ended up hugging and crying together and had a nice little heart to heart after the show.

It's All Downhill From Here
submitted by @blackraspberrybitch
Seriously, Johnny probably wasn’t thinking like usual when he attempted to cruise down the grassy slope with Max’s ‘borrowed’ skateboard. The parkouring new kid seemed to have a butt load of old gear. And he means old, cuz that was the only way the stupid thing could of broke the moment he swerved away from a huge purple blob while Max was hollering behind him.
_____________
“ You sure this is a good idea Johnny?” The only sensible member of the Jang voiced his concerns, ignoring the excited yelling from Stephan and RJ. The friends were standing at the top of one of the larger slopes near their neighborhood having just been released from school for an early out that day. With time to spare, the bullies had no hesitation on looking for something to do with the day before their parents and older siblings got home. Just as always the false red headed leader in question had a plan for such situations. Aka still Max’s skateboard after overhearing how the boy finally got around to finding the ride. Nevertheless that did ease Ollie, with how last time Johnny almost cracked his skull open and started their ‘investigation’ on the Activity Club. Can’t really blame the dude with a crazy town like theirs.
“ What ya yappin about? Course it’s gonna be fine!”
“Last time you stole something from the guy you broke his scooter while riding it and wiped out against a huge boulder.”
He just rolled his eyes. “ Ollie this is a skateboard, not a scooter.” As if to prove a point, Johnny hopped on top, balancing with ease. A triumphant smirk plastered on his face as he basically inched his way closer to the edge. “ And unless Max comes around to mess me up, this is going to be one wicked ride.” Seeing as it was pointless, Ollie just sighed and made his spot beside Stephan, allowing RJ to make their place on top of his shoulders for a better view of their reckless leader readying himself for the decent. A bit of hesitation hit him, making him wonder if this actually was a bad idea like Ollie said. Yet he already made his point and he couldn’t really back down now with his friends watching so intensely. Outwardly he was fine, he was the really cool Johnny Jhonny with his smirk ever present as the last tendrils of self-preservation were pushed back.
“Here I-”
“ OH NO YOU DON’T!”
“Puckett what the buzz?!”
With no warning, Max attached himself to Johnny, anchoring both boys and the skateboard to the spot. Anger and the ever present cynical tone heightened as he tried to keep his grasp on the squirming juvenile. “ What the flip are you even thinking?! Didn’t ya learn from last time?!” Even with only one arm being of any use, the kid still had an impressive amount of strength to start tearing the other away from his possibly straight shot to the hospital. No way in heck was he going to chance having this weirdo haunt him along with PJ in his place to torture Max for an eternity of verbal moon walking and bully tactics. But Johnny just kept squirming, blabbering nonsense as the two continued to argue with one another. Completely forgetting about their audience.
All it took was a not so gentle shove from Stephan to remind them, right before they began to barrel down the hill at an alarming rate. Turning to his wide eyed companions, he only gave a quick shrug with no regret for his actions.”What? They’d spend the rest of the day arguing like my uncles.”
________________
Back with the somehow still arguing- now over their current predicament - duo, they kept going left and right, trying to decide on which direction to turn to without wiping out on the ever decreasing amount of slope. Max currently wrapping his uninjured arm around Johnny’s waist so not to fall off prematurely.
Johnny didn’t really get why he was so insistent on trying to pull Johnny way from this totally awesome ride where they would probably slow down before even getting into the street, but darn it if Johnny wasn’t going to try and win the argument with the one kid he really wanted to be liked by as they barreled down. He will swear to his moms that he wasn’t blushing, nor distracted by how he was clung to so desperately. Back and forth they’d go, simultaneously trying to prove who was right while insulting the littlest of things they noticed about one another in the short time the Puckett’s lived in Mayview. The argument abruptly stopped, making the redhead believe he finally won. But Max quickly started yelling something. Mostly nonsense which was his thing. What he could make out was Max hollering something like to just turn for the love of juice pick one way I don’t give a flip just turn his skateboard! Honestly he had no idea if he should be more confused or worried about it. They couldn’t be that close to the streets just yet they were barely halfway down the slope. Johnny spun his head to check, and decided shock was a better choice for this.
A sea of purple blobs in a array of all different shapes and sizes blocked them, mimicking herds of cattle grazing. Luckily for them it was hard not to notice two screaming preteens speeding on a course for who knows where. The moment the blobs spotted them, a few had gotten startled and broke apart, but Johnny already slammed his foot on the grassy hill. While they did slow down, the most he had gotten from the skateboard was a series of loud cracks. He spun his head back, meeting with a sparing glance to Max as they were forced apart and tumbled the rest of the way down the hill.
Allowing themselves to curse through their lists of creative loopholes around actual curses, they finally reached the bottom of the slope, lying side by side. Groaning from the dizzying tumble down the hill. Max’s more held back, panting slow as he tried to get the air back into his lungs. Johnny on the other hand was more on trying to figure out how the heck he was going to explain all the bruises he’ll no doubt obtain.
“ We survived.” An oddly quiet voice brought Johnny back to the present. Cuz crud, Max had a fractured arm and he basically dragged him down and ended them both getting bruised up. He was all to prepared to get yelled at, or worse, ignored.
He didn’t expect to hear muffled chuckles right beside him.
“We flipping survived your stupid idea.” Max couldn’t control it, he currently was too giddy from barely making it past the group of whatever they missed to be remotely mad about the now destroyed Skateboard. A smile- not a smirk not a condescending or sarcastic or cynical grin - grew on his face as he could no longer muffle his laughter. Johnny was just floored. He never expected to see Max of all people be laughing whole-heartedly beside him on the ground. And as he properly pushed himself up in a seated position for a better look he himself couldn’t hold back his awe struck face. Forget about whatever those things were cuz holy flip Maxwell Puckett has dimples when he laughs like some kind of tired kitten.
And the nonexistence of the not-at-all-fluttering-confusion-butterflies in his stomach was just another thing he was gonna totally swear to his moms.
